Help from Xenovia Quarta, the Sword Destroyer

Everyone from the creepy painting zombies and the four Straw Hat crew members are all shocked and surprised of the sudden appearance of a young woman who just burst through the door and saved Chopper.

"Huh, who is that girl?" Nami asked.

"I don't know, but I… I think we can trust her." Gasper believed from his instincts.

"That is if she doesn't decide to slice us into pieces after this." Usopp worried while Chopper hides poorly behind Gasper.

"Do not worry, I have no intention harming you four since you appear to be allies, I can trust right now." The girl said turning her head to them.

"(She heard me?!)" Usopp thought gasped.

"Wait a minute, it's you!" Hildon started to recognize that girl.

"You're that girl who escape from us two months ago and has been hunted down ever since!" Hildon shocked of that girl.

"Even if you do know me, that will not change the fact that I, Quarta Xenovia, will not fall to the likes of you or your master!" Xenovia claimed as she pointed her big sword at Hildon causing him to jump in fright.

"Quarta Xenovia!" Gasper said her name softly to himself while being amazed at this girl rescuing them almost like a superhero.

Xenovia is a young woman with chin-length blue hair with a dyed green fringe on the right side and dark yellow eyes. She wears a battle suit, consisting of a black, skin-tight, short sleeve leotard with pauldrons, matching fingerless gloves that extend to her biceps, and thigh-high boots, all of which are adorned with straps. This attire is worn under a white hooded cloak with gold and blue accents. She also wears a crucifix around her neck. Breasts size: F-cup.

"All of you, be careful! This entire room is filled with more of those zombies like the one you're standing on right now!" Xenovia warned.

"Huh, we're standing on a zombie?" Nami confused.

"Looks like I won't have to play pretend anymore. Now get off me!" A rough low voice demanded, and the bear skin rug started moving under the feet of the four pirates.

"What the Hell?! You got to be kidding me?!" Usopp screamed.

"Everyone, jump!" Gasper quickly grabbed Nami and Chopper in his arms and jumps off, though Usopp ended up jumping up and grabbing onto the chandelier.

"Okay, now which one of you do I get to kill?" The bear skin rug zombie asked.

"Oh crap, this just got even weirder!" Usopp scared.

"Tell me, are you four also against Hogbakc and his master of Thriller Bark? Because that's what I assume you people are consider how the zombies are about to attack you." Xenovia asked.

"You could say we are, and we're also here trying to help a friend whose shadow got stolen." Gasper answered and mentioned Brook a little.

"Can we talk about this AFTER we get out of here!" Nami yelled.

"No wait, I still wanna know the truth about Dr. Hogback and the zombies if they are really connected!" Chopper stated.

"I'm pretty sure that ship has set sail!" Gasper gestured to more decorative zombies revealing themselves.

"Actually, I can help you get the answer so that you will see how dark truly Dr. Hogback is." Xenovia said.

"You can?" Gasper and Chopper asked shock.

"You, long nose man, throw those candles down to keep them busy then come down to the fireplace!" Xenovia ordered.

"Hey, I was thinking the same thing." Usopp smirked as he got himself up and took the candles from the holders.

"Don't think I'm gonna let you get away!" The bear skin rug zombie prepared itself to attack Xenovia.

"I don't think so." Xenovia glared at the bear zombie.

"Now, you shall feel the wrath of my sword, Durandal!" Xenovia announced the name of her sword.

The Durandal is a large uniquely shaped broadsword with a blue blade and a golden edge. The sword has a semicircular guard on the left side of the handle that extends to the bottom just above the pommel, with a small extension on the right side of the handle. Standing from the tip of the blade, the Durandal is slightly taller than Xenovia, surpassing the latter's height by just a few centimeters.

"Whoa, that's a big sword!" Gasper shocked, seeing the sword is slightly taller than the new girl.

"X-Destroy!" Xenovia leaped at the bear skin zombie and slashed it two ways into a cross almost cut right through and sending the bear zombie crashing onto a painting zombie.

"Take this, you undead freaks!" Usopp started throwing down some candles to start some fire in the dining hall to scare the zombies.

"Now's our chance!" Xenovia said and they quickly ran to the fireplace.

"You're not suggesting we climb up this fireplace, do you?" Usopp asked.

"Nope, we're going through." Xenovia said.

"Through?" Usopp asked.

Xenovia pushed the wall that seems to move then pushes her and the others into the wall going through and right on the other side that is an empty hallway.

"Where the heck are we?" Gasper and Usopp said at the same time.

"Jinx!" Gasper beat Usopp.

"Damn it!" Usopp cursed.

"Quickly, we must keep the wall close so the zombies don't get in!" Xenovia said.

Meanwhile, the zombies in the dining hall are shocked that those four visitors and that troublemaking girl has escaped from them while they were busy with the fire.

"Hey, did anybody see where they go?" One zombie painting asked.

"I don't know, I was busy panicking from the fire." Another zombie painting admitted.

"I think they went through the fireplace. There's a secret passageway behind it." One male zombie painting informed.

"If we don't catch them, they're gonna make it to Dr. Hogback's research lab!" Another zombie painting gasped.

Three of the zombie paintings try pushing the secret door to open, but the door wouldn't budge because of the four humans and reindeer blocking the way for a moment.

"Fuck! They must be blocking it from the other side." One zombie realized.

Xenovia narrowed her eyes and turn her head to see another painting zombie on this side trying to sneak up on them, but she easily knocks it down with a foot on the head.

"Oh come on, more here too?!" Nami gasped.

"Come on, this way!" Xenovia pointed the way, and they all start running.

While the painting zombies in the dining hall are hoping some of their friends would get those blasted humans, the headed pig above two swords chuckle revealing himself to be a zombie too.

"Run and run wherever you like, little humans, you'll find that the mansion is full of Surprise Zombies at every turn!" The pig head zombie revealed.

(Within the Secret Hallway)

"Out of the way!" Xenovia demanded as she slashes through some painting zombies.

"Damn it, I always hated how you find these Surprise Zombies everywhere you go inside buildings like this damn mansion!" Xenovia angered.

"Oh, so they annoy you too." Nami said.

One painting zombie was about to go in to attack Xenovia, but Gasper got in the way with a strong punch to the face and slams it at a wall that splits the hallway in two paths.

"Thank you, that was a good punch you did." Xenovia thanked and complimented.

"You're welcome, just wanted to make sure my new friend is okay." Gasper smiled.

"(He already considers me a friend even though we just met.)" Xenovia thought surprised.

"Hey! We're about to reach a dead end!" Nami alerted as they run for a door.

"Don't worry, the zombies won't come in there!" Xenovia assured.

"Might as well go for it!" Gasper decided to trust her on this one.

They five quickly ran for the door with Xenovia opening the door allowing the others to come inside and she quickly closes the door.

"We are safe now." Xenovia said.

"Thank you for saving us." Gasper thanked.

"My name is Vladi D. Gasper. These are my friends: Nami, Usopp, and Chopper the reindeer who ate a Devil Fruit." Gasper introduced himself and his friends.

"Would you mind telling us what the heck is going on here? Just how do you even know about the zombies and this mansion?" Usopp asked.

"I suppose you have the right to know that much." Xenovia said.

"You see, I belong to a church though not like the ones you're familiar with. I come from a church that allows physical combat to protect those who have fate in God." Xenovia started with her backstory.

"A fighting church! That's really a thing!" Usopp shocked.

"I guess anything can happen in the Grand Line, and possibly the New World." Chopper said.

"I was one of the strongest fighters and was on a ship with my fellow followers of the church out at sea, but we got hit by a storm pretty bad and I ended up being toss into the sea." Xenovia explained about being separated from her group.

"How did you even survive?!" Usopp asked shock.

"I got myself into a small boat that was attached to the ship I was on, I drifted for hours as it almost felt like days to me." Xenovia clutched her hands.

"And that's when… I ended up here, on Thriller Bark!" Xenovia revealed.

(Flashback)

Xenovia continues drifting out in sea while holding onto her big blue sword, but then she ended up going through the gate of Thriller Bark and found herself on a pile of bones.

"What the… Where am I?" Xenovia asked.

Then Cerberus appeared to bite her painfully, Xenovia quickly ran away and made her way through a forest though she has no idea on where to go from here and wonders if there are any people at all. That is until she heard flapping sounds and look up to see Hildon with a "friendly" smile.

"I found myself lost in the forest and Hildon guided me to the mansion where I met Dr. Hogback which he provided me shelter for the night." Xenovia explained.

Xenovia walked up to the door where Dr. Hogback welcomes her into the house, she takes a shower to clean herself up until she felt something in the bath and kicks it (Absalom) out through the window as there was a scream too.

"Did I… Hit something? Probably just my imagination." Xenovia told herself.

"When I went to sleep, I was unaware of the danger that was coming to me from above." Xenovia said.

One painting zombie right above the bed Xenovia is sleeping on, he slowly moves and ready to grab the girl only for Xenovia's to move with a kick hard under the chin to send it crashing onto the ceiling.

"That idiot! He was supposed to grab her!" One unknown zombie on the ceiling complained.

"What is this?" Xenovia asked and quickly grabs her sword.

"Get her!" A few zombies from the shadows came down to grab her.

But Xenovia reacted a little quicker than those things as she slashes those zombies away and ran out the room, then the Surprise Zombies came out trying to grab Xenovia though she kept dodging them and slashes a few away.

Xenovia made her way to the dining room where the other Surprise Zombies came out to capture her, she dashes toward the fireplace when some tried to grab her, and she ended up going through the secret door.

Xenovia kept running from the zombies trying to make sense of what is going on with this mansion until she stumbles upon a room with a giant corpse on the operating table and heard a disturbing laugh that causes her to turn around to see Dr. Hogback.

"My, my, I thought those zombie spiders would have gotten to you, but you're more slippery than I thought." Hogback commented.

"What is going on here, Dr. Hogback! Why are those monsters in the mansion when you said you had nothing to do with them?" Xenovia demanded.

"No need to get all worked up, you will soon know." Dr. Hogback smirked.

"Yes, you will soon be captured and have you shadow be taken away by the one true master of Thriller Bark who holds the Shadow-Shadow fruit." Cindry blurted out with a straight face.

"Cindry?! You weren't supposed to say anything about that!" Dr. Hogback gasped.

"Stealing my shadow? I see, so that was your true intention in letting me come here!" Xenovia angered.

"It doesn't matter now! Your fate has been sealed the moment you step onto Thriller Bark, and your shadow is going to make a wonderful zombie!" Hogback excitedly.

"Cindry! Get her!" Hogback ordered and the woman started throwing plates at Xenovia who smashes them away with her sword then charges on the slash them away.

"AAAAAAAAHHHH?! Are you trying to kill me?!" Hogback screamed in pain with his right side bleeding.

"Be graceful I have no interest in killing the likes of you." Xenovia said.

"Stop her! She must not escape this island no matter what!" Hogback shouted.

Xenovia ran out of the room to get out of the secret hallway and jumps through a window to escape the mansion, she ran through the forest trying to find a good place to hide from the zombies even though there were a few times of how close she was caught and spotted.

"I've been hiding on Thriller Bark for two months now, I couldn't find a way to get off the island." Xenovia said.

(Flashback End)

"They tried hunting me down all over the island, but I always managed to escape every time. I've been trying to do something about Hogback's master too, yet that hasn't been successful as well." Xenovia finished her story.

"Oh man, I can't imagine having to go through all of that." Usopp said.

"Don't worry, Xenovia, I promise we'll help you get off this island and maybe be reunited with your friends." Gasper promised.

"How very kind of you." Xenovia smiled.

"Hold on, Gasper. You already promised Brook to help him get his shadow back." Nami reminded Gasper of that other promise.

"I see, so you wish to help one with no shadow. Another victim I encountered on this island." Xenovia said, clutching her hand on her sword.

"Others? You mean there are more?" Usopp asked.

"That's right, and you will soon learn the dark truth about Thriller Bark. Why don't we start by you four turning around and look over there." Xenovia said.

"Turn around?" Chopper confused, but they all do so.

What they saw was something they were not expecting to see, though they thought it was more painting zombies, but they are just normal photos. And the girl in every photo looks very familiar to them for some reason.

"Hey, wait, it's that girl from before. The one who hates plates so much, Cindry." Nami recognized.

"You're right, I think that is her? And there's a lot of photos of her, and she even looks pretty too." Gasper looked around.

"But wait, you don't think this place is her room, do you?" Usopp asked.

"Make no mistake, all of these photos are indeed Cindry from a former life." Xenovia walked over to grab a book.

"Former life?" Chopper puzzled on what she means by that.

"Here. This book is filled with lots of articles about Victora Cindry who wasn't a servant at all, but a famous actress who was successful and had a beautiful smile to boot. Unlike the Cindry you saw, this one didn't have any stitches and looked more alive." Xenovia showed the articles in the book.

"She's like a completely different person than the one we met." Usopp surprised.

"Indeed, now take a look at this article and you will see the truth." Xenovia turned to one page and they all gasp upon seeing this.

"These papers are old…" Nami said shaken.

"And it says here that she… died in an accident on stage ten years ago." Gasper gulped, feeling himself starting to sweat, Usopp and Chopper started screaming.

"B-But that can't be right! We saw her ourselves! I mean, she is kinda creepy, but she's definitely alive!" Usopp proclaimed.

"I assure you, she is very much dead and the Cindry you saw was nothing but a curse being done by Dr. Hogback's master and his Devil Fruit power." Xenovia stated strongly.

"He made the impossible to bring the dead to new life only to serve him!" Xenovia revealed causing them to scream in shock, Nami stumble back to feel a chest on her legs and turn around.

"A treasure chest!" Nami squealed with joy.

"You cheered up quickly!" Gasper surprised.

Suddenly Xenovia stabbed her sword through the chest causing a painful and loud "OUCH!" to be heard.

"Sorry to disappoint you, but there is no treasure in this room. Now come on, we must find Dr. Hogback!" Xenovia said as the group ran out of the room.

The Surprise Zombies were about to chase them again, but they heard clank sounds from behind.

"It's the bodyguard." One Surprise Zombie said.

"It seems some lost lambs have wandered into the mansion." The bodyguard said.

"Oh, you're just in time." The second Surprise Zombie said.

"But never fear. I shall herd them up." The bodyguard promised.

"Yohohohoho! Yohohohoho!" The bodyguard let out a familiar laugh.
