AN: Hi! I know it's been a while… I'm sorry, but I tend to get a little discouraged when I don't receive reviews for a fic. That being said, this fic is one of the great joys of my life as I've invented so many plot twists to go with it. I'd really like to see it to finition, so I'd be so happy if you could drop a review and follow. Once again, I do not own Yandere Simulator, I am merely a fanfiction writer. Nothing here is canon.
I would also like to mention that this is a story set in real life. As such, some eliminations aren't as easy as they are in the game. In the game, some things are simplified in order to make the game more enjoyable, however these things just wouldn't fit in with storytelling. As a result, I have had to make some adjustments. You'll see a very notable adjustment in Kizana's case.
Please feel free to tell me how you feel about this, or the story in general, in the reviews. It really motivates me to read them, even if they're negative.

Chapter 8:
The rest of the day was a blur for Ayano. She kept thinking of Kizana and how she had the audacity to put her hands on Taro. Ayano couldn't even walk within two meters of him for fear of scaring him and this girl had no problems just walking up to him and touching him.
Part of her anger stemmed from the fact that she just wasn't as attuned with her femininity as Kizana was. This girl had left a streak of boyfriends behind her since freshman year, and they all said the same things even months after getting dumped.
"She was like Marilyn Monroe, so hot!"
"She really knew how to take care of a boy…"
"No one will look at me the way she did…"
All this was something Ayano could see and not replicate. She didn't actually feel any of these things, all the knowledge she had about love came from manga and anime and sappy sitcoms. While she could emulate other emotions, like happiness or sadness, as they were pretty straightforward, she didn't quite understand the whole flirting thing. All she felt was an overwhelming need to make Taro hers, and she would do anything to get it.
This made her feel inferior. Osana and Amai didn't hurt this much as they had flaws of their own and didn't particularly stand out. Kizana wasn't that way. She had a certain effect on guys and she knew it. She was confident, she was beautiful. Ayano couldn't stand the fact that she had chosen Taro of all people to go after, because once Kizana wanted someone, she didn't stop until she got him.
She stood up and went to the basement, looking over the arsenal she had inherited from her mother. Did it really have to come to this? She picked up a knife and held the cool metal in her hands, finding that it did nothing to ease her agitation.
What to do, what to do…
"No." She mumbled, her thoughts finally spilling over into words.
No. No killing. She recalled her mother's pain, her entire ordeal with the court. How her father still seemed so scared of her despite having married her. This was not the kind of relationship she wanted.
There had to be another way. She would make one.

Info-Chan wasn't doing so good. Indeed, if I told you this cold, practical girl had been crying for the past hour, I'm sure you'd be surprised.
She sat down and pored over a blinking red LED light. There was trouble, and her hands were unfortunately tied.
Dear reader, can you imagine knowing that someone you love is in pain but not being able to do anything about it? Knowing that you have the weapon to get everything fixed and handled, but not being able to just so you both can reach your dreams?
Well that's what she felt.
Ryoba Aishi had robbed her father of his career but this was not just about her. Her father's endgame, his life's purpose always been Saikou. You see, Saikou had taken much more from him than his career.
Tomoko sighed at a small picture of a man and a woman holding a newborn baby, and wondered what she could do to save the remaining half of her family.

The next day at school, Ayano decided to trail Kizana for a while. This proved to be a double edged sword, as Kizana was always somewhere around Taro, meaning that she got to see him as well, but the fact that they were so close made her heart sink.
Kizana's new play was a variation of Romeo and Juliet set in the modern world, in a school. Romeo would be a guy from the nerd clique and Juliet would be a popular girl who was way out of his league. Taro was a perfect fit for the role.
Of course, there was an ulterior motive. You see, Kizana had a list.
A list of all the boys she had dated and dumped. She joked with her friends that she would not be graduating without dating every type of guy. She spoke endlessly about her conquests to her close friends, who displayed a wide range of reactions from admiration to disgust.
One girl in particular, caught Ayano's attention. You see, she looked angry more than anything. She popped up wherever Kizana was, and always stared daggers at her. Ayano wondered what was going on with her. She went up to her friend Kokona to ask.
"Hey… What's her deal?" she asked, pointing to the girl who kept staring daggers at Kizana.
"Oh… That's Akari. Don't you know what went down between them?"
"No, tell me."
"Alright, but you can't tell anyone."
And so Kokona delved into one of the best hidden pieces of gossip in Akademi High history.
Akari, the heiress of one of the biggest high fashion brands in Japan, was one of the richest students currently in the school. As it always is in old many families like hers, she had no say in how to live her life, everything was already laid out in front of her.
Luckily for her, the choices weren't so far from her own. She was quite happy with one in particular, her future betrothed.
Big families talk, make plans and seal them with matrimony. As it turned out, Akari's family entered a business partnership with another textile manufacturer and they announced the engagement of their children shortly after. The boy, Kenji, also attended Akademi.
Akari and Kenji came to love each other, however Kizana had other plans. You see, another hobby of hers was to break happy couples up. She got a kick out of it. It made her feel desirable.
Who could resist when a beautiful, flirty girl keeps throwing herself at them? Not Kenji, that's for sure.
The fallout was enormous. The business partnership was called off, the sides entered grueling arguments, and worst of all Akari attempted suicide. Thankfully she pulled through, but Kenji had to be pulled out of the school as a result of the drama. He was sent abroad to pursue his education. The power held by the families meant that none of this got media coverage.
This event took place 3 years ago, Kokona told Ayano, and ever since it happened, Akademi had been working really hard to put this under wraps, going so far as to expel anyone involved. Kokona had only found out from one of her "dates" who attended Akademi during that time.
Ayano smiled. She had an idea now.
Later on, she went up to Akari and introduced herself. Something about this 4th year's eyes was off.
Sure, she responded to words and didn't cause a scene, but Ayano could see that she was hollow, in the worst way.
You see, Ayano was hollow herself, she didn't really feel much, she made deductions judging by her surroundings and put on an appropriate facade. Akari's type of hollow was what Ayano would become if Kizana succeeded.
Ayano felt that she had to be brutally honest with Akari if she wanted her plan to work. She left a note in her locker, asking to talk about relationships after school.
When the time came, Ayano went on the rooftop to find a much agitated Akari waiting for her.
"I know what Kizana did." She said, her eyes never leaving Akari's. She took in the shock in her eyes.
"Yeah, so?" Akari attempted a bluff, trying to act as if she were above it all, but Ayano could see right through it.
"She's trying to do the same thing to me, don't you think it's time she got punished for being such a slut?"
"I genuinely don't care about that skank. I want nothing to do with her."
"I'm offering you a permanent solution. I see the way you look at her. Together, we can get rid of her once and for all."
Akari, despite herself, leaned in to listen.
During this conversation, a few things happened in several different parts of the world.
Ryoba Aishi heard her daughter through the spyware she had on Ayano's phone and grinned for a second. Oh her daughter was much like her indeed. It was one thing that Ayano displayed a flair for murder, but another that she would do it just when Ryoba needed her to. She made a mental note to purchase additional presents for Ayano.
Tomoko, who had been listening through a wire hidden under a nearby bench pressed a button that lit up a green LED light somewhere far away as she made multiple copies of what she had just heard. A certain journalist smiled at the development.
Ichirou Saikou observed Tomoko through a camera he had set up in the info-room as she gave this signal. He immediately tapped an icon on his screen to send Ryoba a notification. This unfortunate development turned Ryoba's smile upside down.
"Alright Ayano, let's see if you'll pass your first test." She mumbled to herself.
