CHAPTER 009 – BATTLE TRIALS PART 1

All Might was waiting for both class 1A and class 1B to show up at 'Ground Beta' where he would have his first Fundamental Heroics class. He also had three different boxes that were filled up with different items on the ground in front of him. Right now, he was in his normal form to save some time in his hero form. He would buff back up the moment the area sensors told him that someone was coming. Until then, he estimated he had about ten minutes until they got here. And so, Toshinori was seated on a car's hood while waiting for them all to arrive.

While he waited, Toshinori thought about what happened in the last few days. He had planned to give his successor a gift the day before UA began. But he never got an opportunity due to what happened to him on that day. Sometimes, Toshinori still had a hard time believing that Izuku was almost killed. Of course, he knew that the hero life was filled with dangers and even a pro hero never knew when his or her time was up. But he never thought that Izuku would experience something like that so soon.

An image of the green haired young man skewered against the alley wall by a concrete spike formed in his head all of a sudden. His breath hitched and Toshinori grabbed hold of his head with both hands and closed his eyes. No! He's alive! I saved him! Shaking his head, the skeletal looking man let out a long sigh when the image finally vanished from his mind. Raising his head up to gaze at the clear blue sky, Toshinori started taking in long breaths and exhaling them out slowly. I'm never gonna forget that am I? His question to himself lingered in his head for a while as the image returned but he quickly pushed it out of his mind. Focus! You have a class to teach soon. Young Midoriya is fine and he'll be joining the rest of the first years soon.

Right when he thought that, a beeping was heard from his phone. Lowering his gaze while retrieving his phone, he looked at the screen. A notification along with a video of a large group of young adults nearing the entrance of the mock city was shown. Alright, it's show time. Putting his phone away, Toshinori buffed back up into his muscular hero form and readied his hero persona. Retrieving another device, he pointed it at the large metal gate that was the entrance to the mock city and pressed the button. The dual doors opened towards him from the middle.

It didn't even take a minute until both class 1A and 1B became visible and he put on his signature smile. "Welcome students to 'Ground Beta'!" greeted All Might as his students gathered in front of him. "They say that clothes make the man, but it goes for women too! You all look like incredible heroes!" said the Symbol of Peace as the smile stayed on his face.

"Thanks All Might!"

"I'm ready for a rumble!"

"Let's do this!"

"Wow, I still can't believe you're gonna teach us!"

"This is gonna be so awesome!"

"I'll take on anyone!"

Hearing his students' comments made All Might's smile widen. However, at the same time he was able to notice something rather peculiar. Both classes were practically segregated and several from each class had forced smiles on their faces. Odd…they all looked excited back in the homerooms. Did something happen in the locker rooms? He noticed that several of the males looked a bit angry and some of the females looked rather annoyed. The locker rooms were separated by gender so it's possible something might have happened after they exited it and traveled here. Did they have bad interactions perhaps after leaving the locker rooms? A fight? Or arguments maybe? Unable to find any more clues since everyone was looking at him but knowing something was wrong, All Might decided to keep an eye on them while he let it be for now.

"Alright everyone! I'm glad you all got here quickly and I hope you're all ready for your first Fundamental Heroics lesson!" started All Might as he planted his fists onto either side of his hips and somehow stood straighter. "During my lessons, you may address me as All Might or Sensei. Understand you zygotes?"

"Yes, All Might!" / "Yes, Sensei!"

"Good! Now, as you all know, today's lesson will be 'Battle Trials'!" said All Might as he took out the large white card and showed it to his students once more like he did back in the homerooms.

"I-Is it alright f-for us to s-start battling each other r-right away?" asked Kinoko quietly while stuttering a bit, glancing at her newly made friends. She then looked at two of the girls from the other class with a rather scared look but they didn't notice her.

"Shouldn't we start with learning some fighting techniques or styles?" questioned Nirengeki.

"How far can we go in damaging each other?" asked Katsuki with a sinister grin on his face as he eyed a few of the males in class 1B, namely Togaru and Neito who glared back at him.

"If we fail our lesson, do we get expelled?" asked Toru, making some of her classmates shiver in anxiety while many from class 1B gave confused looks as to why she would ask that.

"Doesn't my costume look dazzling?" Yuga was practically twirling around in his position while asking his question, making several from both classes give him weird looks.

"Alright, relax everyone and I'll answer each of your questions! My quirk isn't super hearing you know!" shot All Might once he had a second of silence and both classes went quiet at once. "For the first two questions…you showed us what you can do against robots in the entrance exam and what your base line is during your quirk assessment tests. Now, we want to see how you handle yourself when facing an actual person who can think and act on their own. This will help us at UA to determine the best path of growth that involves what kind of fighting style to develop that would best suite each of you. All lessons and results are shared between the faculty members so each and every class is important. Even the regular academic classes and training," informed the number one hero.

They all understood with some actually making comments on how that makes sense and All Might nodded. "As for your other questions, you're allowed full contact however if things go too far, I will step in and stop the trial. Remember, as future heroes, besides extreme circumstances where one doesn't have a choice, our goal is to save and protect lives. Not to end them." Almost all of the students from both classes either nodded or voiced their agreements at his words besides a handful and All Might noticed who. Hmm…Bakugo, Todoroki, Monoma and I believe it was Kamakiri…gotta keep an eye on them for sure.

Noting in his mind to be mindful of those four at the very least, All Might answered the last remaining questions. "No, no one will be expelled if you don't do well today but that doesn't mean that you can slack off. Remember our school motto. Go beyond! Plus ultra! Got it?"

"Yes, All Might!" / "Yes, Sensei!"

"Good!" All Might turned to Aoyama all of a sudden. "And your costume is great!" he complimented with a thumbs up and Aoyama practically squealed in happiness while many from both classes chuckled in amusement.

Moving his gaze back towards everyone, All Might continued speaking and they all quieted down to hear him. "Now, here are the rules for the battle trials." Moving the card closer to him, he read off the back with his students slightly surprised he was reading off of it. "They will consist of two versus two matches. One team will act as heroes and the other will be the villains. The villains will have a base of operations inside a building while protecting a 'bomb'..." All Might used air quotes with his free hand when he said that last word so his students would understand that it was fake. "...and the heroes will only have a certain amount of time to either find the bomb or apprehend the villains. With me so far?" he asked them as he looked up from the card.

The students nodded, voiced a confirmation or remained quiet for their answers. He went back to his card and many from his audience couldn't help but chuckle quietly. It was funny to see the number one hero continue reading instructions off of a card to them. "The villain team will have blueprints of the building available to them as soon as they enter the building before the hero team and set up shop. Villains can hide the bomb anywhere in the building with whatever defense they want to use but it has to be accessible in some way. They'll have ten minutes to do so. The hero team should utilize that time to make a plan of what they're going to do. The villains win by preventing the hero team from reaching the bomb within the allotted time of ten minutes or by wrapping this capture tape around them."

All Might leaned down at this point and pulled out a roll of sturdy, thick tape from one of the boxes at his feet and showed it to the students. "The heroes win by either touching the bomb or capturing the villains with the tape as well." Setting the tape back inside the box, All Might picked up another item from it and showed it them. "Each team will also grab a pair of ear pieces that are synced together so you'll be able to communicate with one another." All Might showed them the zip lock bag that contained two ear pieces inside it before placing it back inside the box. Putting away the card, he then grabbed another box that had a small round hole on it and lifted it up. "We'll now draw lots to see who'll pair up with whom."

An arm was raised straight into the air in a quick motion but the young male didn't wait to be called upon before speaking. "Sensei, are drawing lots really a good idea for forming teams? And aren't the villain teams getting too much aid? And our class is short one person," said Tenya while holding his helmet in his other hand.

Before All Might could answer him, someone else did. "In the real world, there will be situations that call for random cooperation with a fellow hero. You may not be able to choose who you partner up with at any given moment. It's best to be prepared for such situations now," explained Jurota seriously.

"Well spoken, young Shishida since it's true and I couldn't have said it better myself for that. Also, villains usually have the upper hand and so pro heroes must work to overcome that," added All Might.

Tenya had a look of understanding form on him. "Ah, I see, that makes perfect sense! Thank you Sensei! And thank you, fellow hero in training!" replied Tenya as he bowed to both who accepted it.

"But what about our class, All Might?" asked Toru, barely noticeable due to waving her gloved hands in the air. "We're short one person, so what do we do?"

"I noticed that and I've been meaning to ask, why are you guys short one in your class?" asked Itsuka in curiosity. She and many others in class 1B wanted to know.

Several shrugged from class 1A as Denki answered. "We don't know honestly. We were just told by Aizawa Sensei that someone would join us later on but still no info. Do you know why All Might?"

Everyone turned to look at the Symbol of Peace who felt several things from his student's question because of who it pertained to but kept his expression normal. "If your homeroom teachers didn't tell you anything, then I'm afraid I'm unable to as well. Just be patient and you'll find out sooner or later why." A little bit of grumbling was heard from both classes but almost half of the students started pleading for him to tell them. All Might's resolve cracked at seeing their begging faces. "Alright, a compromise; if you all do well, then I'll give you some details but not all. Fair enough?"

"Yes Sensei!"

"Deal! That's why you're the best!"

"Thank you All Might!"

All Might couldn't help but smile his signature smile at them. "Anyways, let's get back on track since we've wasted too much time already. I have a few ideas how to deal with the shortage problem. First idea is would anyone volunteer to attempt this trial on their own?" asked All Might as he looked over class 1A.

Katsuki was about to volunteer by stepping forward when Shoto raised his hand while calling out at the same time. "I will."

"You sure?" asked All Might.

"Yes," replied Shoto without hesitation while Katsuki glared at him from his spot.

"Very well. Thank you for volunteering. Since you'll be alone, go ahead and stand right here Todoroki and you'll pull from the box first." The dual haired student went to where All Might pointed at and stood there. "Now, the rest of you line up in single file lines in your respective classes quickly!" After both classes lined up, All Might stood in front of Shoto with the box. "Since class 1A has less people, they'll go first," he said, which made sense and most didn't care about that. But Neito did, grumbling under his breath and crossing his arms. Shoto reached into the box and took out a ball with the letter 'A' on it. "Huh, nice pick. You're Team A." Shoto nodded and stepped aside so the others could go. Each person picked out a lettered ball until they all did. "Everyone go stand with their partners," ordered All Might.

They all did as he said though some of them didn't like the team they ended up being in. The teams for class 1A were the following;

Team A – Shoto Todoroki

Team B – Momo Yaoyorozu & Kyoka Jirou

Team C – Mina Ashido & Katsuki Bakugo

Team D – Eijiro Kirishima & Ochaco Uraraka

Team E – Tsuyu Asui & Yuga Aoyama

Team F – Tenya Iida & Toru Hagakure

Team G – Mashirao Ojiro & Denki Kaminari

Team H – Hanto Sero & Minoru Mineta

Team I – Koji Koda & Mezo Shoji

Team J – Fumikage Tokoyami & Rikido Sato

Retrieving all the lettered balls and putting them back inside the box, All Might walked over to the second class and stopped at the front of their line. "Alright, now it's class 1B's turn!" Once they all took out a ball, they quickly partnered up. Their teams went as follows;

Team A – Yui Kodai & Hiryu Rin

Team B – Itsuka Kendo & Setsuna Tokage

Team C – Neito Monoma & Togaru Kamakiri

Team D – Kosei Tsuburaba & Juzo Honenuki

Team E – Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu & Reiko Yanagi

Team F – Manga Fukidashi & Kojiro Bondo

Team G – Pony Tsunotori & Jurota Shishida

Team H – Shihai Kuroiro & Kinoko Komori

Team I – Yosetsu Awase & Sen Kaibara

Team J – Ibara Shiozaki & Nirengeki Shoda

Once their teams were established, All Might retrieved the lettered balls and put them back in the box. Placing the box back on the ground with the other ones, he picked up another one that was much smaller. "Alright, each lettered team from both classes group up together," requested All Might and they did so. Once the teams with the same letters grouped together, All Might went up to the letter 'A' group first. "Time to pick who'll be the hero team and who'll be the villain team. I'll start with class 1B first this time," said All Might as he held the box for them and Yui picked out a ball that had the letter 'V' on it. After she picked, All Might went to each letter group and alternated which class picked.

After all the lettered groups got to pick, the teams and sides were finally decided. And they were;

At the end of preparations, All Might was surprised to see that there was an even split of hero and villain teams for both classes. Huh, what do you know? At least there won't be any complaints about that. All Might set down the small box and stood in front of the students. "Now with that done, 'A' teams head towards that building right there," he said as he pointed to the building across the street from them. "Don't forget your capture tapes, communicators and the villain team can go inside and start preparing defenses. You have ten minutes until the trial starts. The rest of us will gather in the observation room that's located right there and view your trial from there. And after each group's trial, we'll have a quick discussion about it before moving on to the next match." Once finished with explaining the directions and rules, All Might picked up two of the boxes while leaving the one with the needed trial items and led the way to the observation room.

While the rest followed after the Symbol of Peace, the first teams from both classes moved to the box and retrieved their supplies. They then headed to the building with the villain team going inside to prepare defenses for the hero team.

Once they reached inside the observation room, All Might placed the boxes he brought with him against the nearby wall. Afterwards, he strode towards the control station and turned on the monitors. "Okay, they can't hear you and you can't hear them but you can still learn by watching. While you stay here, I will be in the room next door since it has audio there. I can also hear and view all of you in here as well," stated All Might. He pointed at the camera behind them and his students glanced at it before facing him again. "So make sure you don't do anything that will cause me to grade you badly for today. And I will rejoin you at the end of every trial. Understood?" he asked them.

"Yes, All Might!" / "Yes, Sensei!"

"Good. I'll be back."

All Might headed into the room next door and shut the door behind him while discretely locking it. Reverting back to his normal form, Toshinori let out a sigh of relief. I'm gonna be cutting it close but at least I can do this to lengthen how long I can teach class. Moving to the desk, he sat down on the seat in front of it and adjusted many monitors to show the camera feeds from the building they were using. He then adjusted the camera for the room next to his. Within moments, Toshinori was watching and listening to all of his students. "Here we go. Hope they can handle themselves well," said Toshinori after the allotted time expired. He hit a button on the console and leaned in towards the microphone in front of him. "BATTLE TRIAL STARTS NOW!"

XXXXXXXXXX A TEAMS' TRIAL XXXXXXXXXX

Heroes – Shoto Todoroki

Villains – Yui Kodai & Hiryu Rin

In a particular room on the second to last floor of the building that was tucked away in the right corner was class 1B's team 'A'. They were waiting for the trial to start after making their preparations. Both Yui and Hiryu had entered the building, found the building layout plans that also said where the makeshift bomb was and quickly went to it. Finding that it was made with just paper and light metal construction, they quickly brainstormed a plan together.

Well, Hiryu mostly talked while Yui spoke with quick short sentences. They decided to move the bomb to a different location as part of their plans. Even though it wasn't heavy at all, Yui shrunk it with her quirk and they were able to easily transport it to its current location before enlarging it again.

"You think the traps we set will work?" asked Hiryu after a moment of silence.

"Perhaps," replied Yui.

Hiryu gave her a curious look. "You don't talk much, do you?"

"No need."

"Well, maybe in most situations, but we need to work together on this. Isn't there a need now?" His question made her turn her stoic gaze to his. Finding her expression to be slightly intimidating, he quickly averted his sight and scratched his right cheek with his right index finger. "Well, don't you think so?" he asked her again.

"Already did our plans," answered Yui before facing forward and started checking on her ammunition that was in her costume's pouch.

"True," said Hiryu before letting out a sigh. "Well, I hope the scales I left as fake trails and traps along different paths will help us. Hopefully our opponent wastes too much time following them. I only know his name and that he's Endeavor's son. Do you know anything else about him?" he asked her.

Yui didn't immediately answer him since she was checking her pouch's contents. When finished, she looked at him before facing the entrance to their room. "Heard he's strong."

"That helps," commented Hiryu sarcastically but Yui ignored him. "Well, it's just him and we should be able to overpower him if we work together. I think that we'll…"

A sudden loud beep cut off his words before All Might's voice was heard through their communicators. "BATTLE TRIAL STARTS NOW!"

Both Yui and Hiryu went on alert. "Alright, here we go! Stick to the plan alright?" said Hiryu as he started for the door.

"Got it," replied Yui. She readied herself by taking out a few small items from her pouch.

It happened when Hiryu was half way to the door. The temperature in the building dropped suddenly before a layer of ice rushed into the room from the cracks in the doorway entrance. Spreading all over, the ice quickly covered the room and both inhabitants. Yui and Hiryu were encased up to their necks in an icy layer and they couldn't move from their spots.

"W-What the h-hell?!" shot Hiryu before his teeth started chattering.

"T-T-Too c-c-old," stuttered Yui while shivering violently inside her icy prison.

Before either of them could say anything else, the door to their room burst open. Their opponent rushed in while riding a wave of ice and stopped after traveling a few feet in. The ice he used to cover the entire building's interior and exterior also allowed him to know where they were located. He barely glanced at the two to make sure they were unable to move before looking around. Finding the bomb in the corner, he shot forward and placed his hand on it.

"HERO TEAM WINS!"

After All Might announced the outcome through the communicators, Shoto moved to the two while he spoke in a monotone voice. "I'll get you out of there." Once finished thawing them out of their icy prisons, Shoto led the way back while still putting out heat from his left side so the rest of the ice in the building will melt.

The moment they entered the observation room, they were surrounded by their classmates. Many, even some from class 1B, praised Shoto for his quick and decisive victory who barely acknowledged them with a nod while his face remained neutral. Even when Momo congratulated him on his win, he barely acknowledged it by glancing at her with a curt nod. A few didn't like his lack of interaction but said nothing. Setsuna and Itsuka were glaring at Shoto while consoling Yui, who was feeling very let down from her loss and also still feeling cold. Hiryu was upset over his loss but remained quiet.

All Might entered the room and cleared his throat loudly to get everyone's attention. Once they quieted down and turned to him, he spoke. "That was one of the fastest battle trials I've ever seen. I think you even broke a record. Well done Todoroki," praised All Might. His words had an impact on Shoto who felt somewhat glad over it but no one would've noticed because of his still neutral expression.

All Might turned to the other two and placed his hands on their shoulders after moving closer to them. The two raised their heads to look at him in the eyes. "Young Kodai and Rin; you two may have lost, but you still did your best by preparing as much as you could. The traps and false paths would've done wonders against many others. Don't let this loss hinder you in reaching for greater heights. Instead, learn from it since this was a great lesson. And that lesson is that sometimes no matter how much you prepare, it won't be enough. You must be ready to face the unknown." Both Yui and Hiryu nodded, understanding the Symbol of Peace but still felt disappointed.

All Might removed his hands from their shoulders before facing all of his students. "This was also a good lesson for all of you. In the real world, you will come across situations where you might be overwhelmed by something or someone that outclasses you. Even with preparing in advance, sometimes it's just not enough. In those situations, you have to do what is right and that means making hard choices. And that hard choice can either be requesting for aid, standing your ground until help arrives or even evading the threat or situation for a time."

"But you never ran from a villain!"

"Fleeing from villains is not what heroes do!"

"That's sacrilege!"

"I'm not afraid of anyone or anything!"

"I'll never lose to villains!"

Seeing some of his students deny those possibilities, All Might was impressed but also concerned. "Alright, quiet down, all of you," ordered All Might and they went silent. "Yes, a hero must do all they can to overcome any situation and sometimes you have no way out. Our school motto even says to go beyond, plus ultra and that's my motto as well. HOWEVER!"

That last word he spoke loudly that made them jump, to make sure that he caught all of their attention. "That doesn't mean that you sacrifice yourselves for no reason. We aren't training you to become martyrs. We're training you to become professional heroes who we hope will be around for a long time. And professional heroes know what they excel at and what to do in hopeless situations instead of just standing around uselessly. Just because you don't fight the villain directly or deal with the situation directly, doesn't mean that you can't help in other ways. Our motto means much more than the obvious. Understand?!"

"Yes, All Might!" / "Yes, Sensei!"

All Might smiled as most of the students understood him. "Good, now time for the next trial!"

XXXXXXXXXX B TEAMS' TRIAL XXXXXXXXXX

Villains – Momo Yaoyorozu & Kyoka Jirou

Heroes – Itsuka Kendo & Setsuna Tokage

"Hmm, you think we got this in the bag?" asked Setsuna while leaning against a light post.

Itsuka answered her while facing the building and stretching her arms. "If those two end up at each other's throats again like they did in the locker room, then yes. Easily. If they decide to work together, then we'll have an actual battle on our hands which I'll prefer but I know we can still win," explained Itsuka with hope that it'll be the latter. She really did want to have a good fight.

"Yeah, yeah, I know you want that. Damn battle junkie," commented Setsuna but Itsuka merely grinned, not denying it. "But you're right, since we'll still win. I wonder though…what's got them ready to kill each other?" A sudden thought entered her head. "Oh I know…it has to be because of a guy."

Itsuka rolled her eyes. "With you, everything's about a guy. It could be something else you know?"

"Nah, can't be," disagreed Setsuna with a shake of her head. "Has to be cause of a guy because of some of the things they said. Remember?"

Itsuka tried to recall what the girls argued about back in the locker rooms but shrugged after a moment. "Can't. Honestly, I wasn't paying attention to what they actually said. I only noticed when they were about to start fighting and their classmates got involved to hold them back from each other." Itsuka let out a sigh. "I can't believe Monoma was right about the girls in class 1A. And I was hoping we could get along with them…"

"Maybe it's just those two? Don't tell the creep though. He'll never let it go," advised the green haired girl and the red head agreed, knowing who she was talking about. "Anyways, I'm sure it's about a guy. That, or they're lesbians and one of them cheated on the other."

"Ugh, seriously? Why do you think every problem has to deal with relationship stuff? It could be some other thing you know," remarked Itsuka annoyingly.

"Hey, the world revolves around sex. Don't blame me," commented Setsuna with a smirk.

"Whatever. Let's focus. We have a couple minutes left. You know what to do right?"

"Pfft, do you even have to ask?" asked Setsuna rhetorically. "Don't answer that!" she said immediately afterwards when Itsuka was about to open her mouth.

Chuckling, the red head loosened up a bit more by jumping up and down on her tip toes a few times. "Alright, let's get ready to move the second it starts."

"Yeah, I'll do reconnaissance while you head inside and then I'll join you once I find the bomb's location. Then we'll beat them up and mess with their heads in the process and find out why they were fighting!"

"It's not our place Set."

"Pfft, says you! I wanna know the reason behind the drama! And I'm gonna prove that I'm right, like I always am!"

Itsuka let out a sigh. "Why me?" she muttered while her friend just laughed.

Inside the building, there was heavy tension inside one of the rooms. After another heated argument between them while changing into their costumes, two girls were on the verge of exploding at one another. The only things that were keeping them from doing so were the fact that they were being watched by their classmates, their instructor and they didn't want to fail their lesson. As a result, both of them didn't even say anything to each other as they prepared their defenses.

Momo had gone around the room to the door entrance and windows while a multi colored glow appeared on her right thigh. She used her quirk to create multiple devices that popped out from her leg and attached them around the door and window frames.

While she did that, Kyoka had gone to the 'bomb' and moved it to a better defensible position in the left rear corner of the room. She then used some of the items in the room to create a makeshift cover for it by stacking up several furniture pieces around it. Once finished, she saw she still had a lot of supplies left and she decided to make another cover for the right rear corner of the room as well. With her second cover made, she had just enough supplies to make a final third one and began creating it in the middle of the room.

"What are you doing?"

Kyoka barely moved her gaze to where the question came from and saw the look on her classmate's face. "You'd think that someone from such a prestigious family would understand the concept of a shell game but I guess not," commented Kyoka before returning her focus back to finishing her cover.

Momo did her best to remain in control and answered back as calmly as she could. "I do understand the concept but what you're doing isn't going to help. You wasted time by doing that when you could've helped me set up proper defenses! Stop doing that and help me with setting up these stun charges!"

"Excuse me Princess but I'm not one of your servants to order around like that!"

"Stop calling me that!" snapped Momo angrily at the purple haired girl.

"Oh, I'm sorry your highness. Would you prefer to be called an exhibitionist instead because of what you're wearing?" countered Kyoka with an insinuating tone.

"How dare you! This costume helps me with my quirk like I explained back in the locker room!"

"Oh yeah, of course. Your quirk." Kyoka nodded with an obvious fake look of understanding. "You need to expose yourself in order to create items from your body. It's not like you can use your stomach, arms, legs or back to create stuff even though you said you can create items from anywhere on your body. I guess you have to have your tits hanging out for everyone to see. But is that considered prim and proper for someone from the great and noble Yaoyorozu family?"

Momo turned crimson from her words and her hands clenched into fists but she countered back with her own scathing words. "Of course you would say things like that because you're just a jealous nobody who's better off being a canvas for leftover food with her flat as a board body!"

Kyoka shook with her face reddening from embarrassment but swiftly retorted. "At least I'll know that if someone likes me, they'll like me for me! Unlike you, they'll only like you for your status or your body! I bet that's why he didn't tell you his name because he could tell that you're nothing but an entitled, arrogant, naïve, selfish and spoiled brat that has nothing to offer but oversized boobs!"

Pure rage formed on both girls' faces and they wanted nothing more than to continue their fight from the locker room and tear into each other. And they were about to do so when they suddenly heard All Might's voice through their communicators that the trial had started.

Momo set up the last couple stun charges before pulling out a remote from her left arm and pressed the button on it. All of the stun charges that were set around the door and windows turned on.

Kyoka returned her attention to the third cover and quickly finished. She then crouched down in front of the middle cover and extended her ear lobes towards the ground. Inserting the ends into the ground, she concentrated on hearing any sounds or vibrations from their opponents.

"What are you doing?" asked Momo after a short while.

"Shut up! I'm trying to listen for them," hissed Kyoka as she leaned in closer to the ground. Momo's anger grew but remained quiet. About thirty seconds later, Kyoka's eyes widened before she stood up and her ear lobes retracted back. "They're moving fast and it seems like they know where we are somehow cause they're making a beeline straight for us."

"What? How could they know where we are so soon?" asked Momo skeptically. "Are you sure you're not confusing other sounds for them?"

Kyoka glared at her and growled out her answer. "There's no way! I don't like you at all but I won't jeopardize my grade just to spite you, so stop second guessing me! They'll be here soo-"

The door to their room was suddenly flung open that caught their attention and the stun charges around the frame went off. Multiple electrified cartridges were shot around the door entrance but it was all for naught since no one was there.

"So much for you stun charges Princess! I hope you weren't relying on just that!" shot Kyoka as she readied herself for a fight.

"Of course not and stop calling me that you irritating, second rate tomboy!" snapped Momo as she pulled out a metal combat staff from her exposed cleavage.

"Surrender villains!"

Both Kyoka and Momo looked around wildly for the source of the voice since they saw no one. Unknown to them both, a disconnected mouth along with a single eyeball was floating high above them and constantly moving. Setsuna had sent them in after using her detached hand to open the door.

"Show yourselves heroes! Or are you scared?" questioned Kyoka in a taunting tone while looking around. She tried to pinpoint the source of the voice but it seemed like it was coming from everywhere.

"Nope!" What seemed like body parts covered in purple scale like attire flew into the room at incredible speeds. They were flying around while doing hit and run tactics against the two girls. Setsuna was overwhelming them with her detached body parts.

"You think you can beat me with this cheap trick?!" shouted Momo in frustration after smacking away one of them with her metal staff.

"Maybe. But this time, I'm just the distraction!"

"Wha-"

Kyoka barely spoke part of that word while turning around in time to receive a large fist straight to her chest. She was sent flying through the room and crashed against the wall hard with her eyes bulging out. Falling onto the floor, she coughed out spit and then dry heaved a little. Fuckin hell! Did I just get hit by a truck?! She groaned in pain while disoriented and struggled to get back up but then collapsed back down onto the floor.

Itsuka had used Setsuna's distraction to sprint into the room and headed straight towards her closest foe. Seeing her initial target neutralized for the moment, Itsuka turned around in time to catch the metal staff in her left hand with ease. Momo's eyes widened in surprise over that. "I'm disappointed," commented the red head. Pulling on the staff, she used her superior strength and brought the black haired girl closer to her before knocking her back with an enlarged fist straight to her torso.

"Ack!" Momo spit out some saliva from the hit as she was practically thrown from the hit. She landed hard on her side against the floor but got back up onto her feet as quickly as she could. Standing upright, she took several quick breaths to try and get some air back into her lungs.

"Wow, this is going easier than I thought."

"Focus!" snapped Itsuka as she went towards her target who had a multi colored glow appear over her stomach. "Capture your villain while I handle this one!" commanded Itsuka as Momo brought out a metallic shield from her stomach and held it up in front of her.

"Yea, yea, don't get your panties twisted," replied Setsuna, bringing her body parts back to her and reattached them all. Landing on her feet, she calmly made her way to the still downed purple haired girl. "Man, I hate to say it, but the girl scout was right. This is disappointing." Setsuna dramatically sighed before she leisurely made her way towards the downed purple haired girl while her partner Itsuka hammered away against the black haired girl's shield.

Kyoka heard everything that was said and slowly raised her gaze towards the one moving towards her. A sharp toothed grin formed on the advancing girl while holding up the thick capture tape in her right hand. Looking to the side, Kyoka found her reluctant partner cornered and unable to do much herself.

Her head hung as she took in a labored breath. They're beating us…and they're not even going all out for it. Even if that bitch and me were on the same page, it wouldn't have made a difference. They're too good. They got us completely by surprise and overwhelmed us. But I can't just give up…

While Kyoka was trying to recover and do something, Momo was struggling while doing her best to stay standing against her opponent's relentless assault. How is she so strong?! She could feel each strike from the red head's enlarged fists even as it landed against the shield she was holding in front of her. I need to do something! Idea after idea went through her mind but she couldn't pick one out, hesitating and second guessing each one. I need time! I need space! "Aaargh!" Summoning some of her strength, Momo pushed against her attacker with the shield.

The red head was forced back several steps and Momo stood up straight. "Not bad hero, but not good enough!" taunted Momo, hoping that her assailant would converse with her for a bit so she could think up of a counter attack.

That didn't go according to plan however because once Itsuka got her balance back, she immediately went back on the offensive. "I should be saying that to you!" retorted Itsuka.

Damn it! Momo wasn't even able to start thinking of anything because she had to defend herself again with the shield. She was soon sent back to her knees while trying to survive the onslaught. She's not giving me any breathing room! What am I supposed to do?! Momo was struggling because she was doubting herself and unable to commit to any of her ideas. But then something else happened that caught her and everyone else off guard…

Kyoka was still trying to overcome the pain from the monstrous hit she sustained. Summoning whatever strength she had left, she tried to lift herself up onto her hands and feet again. But her arms trembled violently and gave way again, bringing her back down onto the floor. Turning her gaze, she saw the sharp toothed grin still on the green haired girl's face as she got closer. She then looked at her partner being taken down to her knees while barely surviving against the red head's assault.

Even though she absolutely despised her, she didn't think that the number one student in her class would be taken down so easily and that shocked her. We're gonna lose... Kyoka allowed her head to fall as shame filled her. It's not like we were facing someone like Todoroki who could freeze an entire building at once but we couldn't even last a minute against these two in a straight up fight! How can I survive against villains?!

Raising her gaze back towards her opponent who was within arms' reach of her now, she saw the grin on the girl's face and it made her angry since she remembered others looking down on her. Especially a certain well off woman who she hates. No! I won't just give up! Extending her ear lobes, she sent them to connect to the speakers that were installed onto her boots.

Setsuna was still grinning away as she neared the downed girl while thinking many things. One of which was how she could get at least one of the two to fess up over why they were arguing. Ah, fuck it, direct approach it is! She was about to ask her soon to be captured opponent when she noticed what the purple haired girl was trying to do. Her grin disappeared at once while a serious look took over instead as she extended her hand quicker towards her. "Oh no, you don't! We already…"

But it was too late. Sudden sound waves were blasted out from Kyoka's leg speakers that filled the room with its extremely loud noise.

"AAAAAAAAHH!" screamed the three girls. They fell to the floor and covered their ears the best they could with their hands.

What the hell?! Where did this come from?! Itsuka was moments away from completely demolishing her opponent's shield when she was hit by the sound waves. It was pain unlike nothing else she experienced and it rocked her. Gritting her teeth, Itsuka focused on her quirk and enlarged her hands so she can completely cover up her ears like earmuffs. She was able to block out the loud sound better and she struggled to her feet. She started moving towards the purple haired girl with slow steps since the sound waves were also hindering her movements.

Momo was also affected by the sound waves and dropped to the floor while covering her ears. Barely able to open her eyes while dealing with the pain, she noticed the red head getting up and making her way to her unwanted partner. Even though she had issues with her teammate, Momo still didn't want to lose and knew she had only one chance to do something. I have to do something! I can't let this opportunity pass! She tried making some noise canceling earmuffs so she could go after the red head but she couldn't concentrate enough to do so because of the sound waves and her inability to stick with a decision.

Setsuna was at first wriggling on the floor due to the loud sounds until she happened to open her eyes and catch her partner going after the purple haired girl. Composing herself the best she could, she concentrated and detached her ears before sending them flying out of the room through the open doors so the loud sounds wouldn't bother her. She got up and made to go after the black haired girl but wasn't able to move that well either thanks to the sound waves.

Kyoka saw the red head coming after her and the green haired girl going for her partner. She was astonished that they were able to get up. She tried to increase the speed of the waves or even the volume of the sound but she couldn't. Her own body was way past its limits and she was breathing heavily. No, I can't lose! I can't lose...or else I'm… Lost in her thoughts, Kyoka didn't realize it until it was too late.

Itsuka had reached her and without any hesitation, landed a heavy kick against her speaker boots. Her kick destroyed them but also caused damage to its wearer's legs. Kyoka screamed out loud in pain from the hit. "I'm sorry but you left me no choice," said Itsuka, wrapping the capture tape around Kyoka's leg.

"JIROU HAS BEEN CAPTURED!" shot All Might's voice and a second later his voice was heard again. "YAOYOROZU HAS BEEN CAPTURED! HEROES WIN!"

Itsuka turned around at those words and saw Setsuna giving her a small smile with the capture tape wrapped around the black haired girl's arm who was sporting a sullen look at her defeat. "Phew, that was close," said the green haired girl as her ears flew back into the room and reattached to her.

"Yeah," agreed Itsuka, before turning back to the purple haired girl who was holding her legs and gritting her teeth. Feeling guilty over it, Itsuka bent down to help her. "Shit, I'm sorry. Let me help you up."

Unable to say anything due to both the pain from her legs and her humiliation at losing, Kyoka remained silent until she was helped up onto her feet by the red head. "Thanks…" she muttered with obvious pain in her tone of voice.

"You're welcome and again, I'm sorry." Itsuka wrapped an arm around her body while placing the purple haired girl's arm around her own neck. "My name's Itsuka Kendo by the way."

She glanced at Itsuka before looking down at her feet. "…Kyoka Jirou."

Nodding, Itsuka helped her down the room with Setsuna joining them to help. "Damn, you one feisty piece girl," commented the green haired girl as she copied her best friend in helping out on the opposite side. "You almost took us out in one shot. Not bad. The name's Setsuna Tokage."

Glancing at her, Kyoka saw a genuine smile on her face this time and she couldn't help it. She smiled a little herself through the pain. "Kyoka Jirou and…thanks."

"Haha, no problem girl! C'mon, let's head back and get you all fixed up! And then you gotta tell me how you got your second wind!"

As the three girls headed out the room while talking, the fourth girl that was there watched them leave in silence. Momo was stunned over what just happened and what she was feeling. They were about to lose and then her so called partner had flipped the tables all of a sudden. If only she was able to make proper earmuffs, then she could've capitalized on that.

But she couldn't and not only that, but her opponents were able to overcome the sound waves. She couldn't do that either and that made her feel like a failure. And what's worse was that her opponents showed respect towards Kyoka by helping her up and practically carrying her out of the room. They didn't even bother looking in her direction.

Her eyes became slightly watery but she refused to shed tears. I won't be ignored! And I did the best I could! I should be respected as well! Why am I always the one who suffers thanks to someone else?! I won't allow it! Making up her mind and her expression turning hard, she took a few determined steps after the girls who left her behind to give them a piece of her mind.

But then a floating eyeball and a disconnected mouth suddenly appeared in front of her through the door and she let out a yelp of surprise. "Haha, sorry girl! Didn't mean to scare ya! It's me, Setsuna Tokage!" Momo was staring at the floating body pieces while breathing heavily with one hand over her heart. "We were wondering what happened to ya. You good or do you need help too?" she asked.

Momo was surprised over the words but composed herself quickly. She took in another breath and stood up straight. "No, I don't require assistance. Thank you for your concern."

"Alrighty then. See ya back at the observation tower!" Setsuna's mouth grinned at her while her floating eyeball blinked as if to wink before they flew away back to their owner.

Well…that was unexpected. Momo huffed out some air upwards against her large strand of hair. It moved up a bit before falling back down in front of her face. Perhaps…I might be over thinking some things… Momo was lost in thought while making her way back to the others.

When all four of the girls were back inside the observation room, they were praised by their peers while also given several comments on what they noticed they could improve on. Itsuka and Setsuna were thanking their classmates for their compliments with the latter boasting loudly. Kyoka was assisted to a seat so she could sit down by the other girls of class 1A and Kyoka felt many different things from that. Momo felt a little better due to her peers giving her some compliments and was surprised when the girls from her class did so as well. Those feelings were quickly extinguished however when she looked towards Shoto and he gave her a judging look as if disappointed in her performance.

That was noticed by several but before anyone else could say or do anything, All Might entered the room. They all quieted down when he started speaking. "Well done. You were all impressive." The girls felt great being praised by the Symbol of Peace and were unable to keep themselves from smiling. "But, there is room for improvement and I must say that I'm disappointed in a few things that you've all done," remarked All Might with a serious tone.

The girls' smiles disappeared but kept their gazes on him. "Yaoyorozu and Jirou…" started All Might as he turned to face them. "…you two should've cooperated more instead of doing things on your own and talking about unnecessary things when you should've been focusing on the lesson. I don't know what happened but you two will be discuss things civilly later or I will have Midnight get involved."

Both girls reddened from embarrassment, remembering that All Might had heard their argument. But they were glad he didn't go into detail in front of everyone. They nodded and voiced that they would do as he said but didn't look at one another.

All Might wasn't done yet and he continued. "Good. But both of you lost your focus the moment you were blindsided. Yaoyorozu, you could've armed your partner with your quirk but you didn't. And Jirou, you put your partner in harm's way with your quirk. That is unacceptable for both of you. Even villains support one another when in a group otherwise they'll fail." Both Yaoyorozu and Jirou hung their heads in shame before voicing their understanding in quiet tones.

All Might then turned towards the other girls. "Tokage and Kendo…you two did well in the beginning with your reconnaissance using Tokage's quirk to look through the windows and overwhelming your opponents with your strategies." Both girls felt great at his praise and high fived one another. "But, you also made mistakes." Their happiness deflated quickly as they waited to hear their criticism. "Tokage, since the start of the match, you were too relaxed and overconfident. You should've neutralized your opponent the second you could've but instead you took your sweet time showboating and that allowed her enough time to do something." Setsuna lowered her head and her shoulders sagged while remaining silent after she got her personal review.

"And Kendo…" All Might didn't continue for a moment, making everyone wonder what he was going to say and Itsuka was starting to become nervous over what she did wrong. "I actually don't have much criticism for you. You played your part to the letter while taking the lesson seriously. You overcame and adapted to the situation even when the tables turned against your team. The only thing I can say for now is that you should be more aware of your surroundings and what your teammates are doing so you can keep them on track."

Itsuka let out a sigh of relief before glancing at Setsuna with a look that was half amused and half annoyed. "Easier said than done, Sensei, if dealing with this one."

"Hey!" shouted Setsuna with an obvious fake pout on her face.

All Might chuckled along with many others. "Anyways, good job all of you and work on what I mentioned. By the way, Jirou, do you need to see Recovery Girl?" asked All Might while turning to her.

Kyoka shook her head. "My legs sting some but I think I'll be okay. If anything changes, I'll let you know."

"Are you sure?" asked the Symbol of Peace and the purple haired girl nodded. "Alright then. You let me know the second something changes. Now, C teams are up!"

XXXXXXXXXX C TEAMS' TRIAL XXXXXXXXXX

Villains – Mina Ashido & Katsuki Bakugo

Heroes – Neito Monoma & Togaru Kamakiri

"Now's our chance to show that asshole which class is better," remarked Neito while keeping his gaze on the building.

Togaru was inspecting the blades he had pop out from his wrists. "I can't wait to show that idiot how stupid he is for crossing me." Lowering his hands, he looked at his partner after remembering something. "Hey, won't your time limits be up by the time we start? I don't want dead weight slowing me down."

Neito glanced at him with a smug grin. "Don't worry, I got that covered." Putting his hand into his coat's pocket, he took it back out and held it open so what was in his head was viewable. There were three pieces of differently colored hairs.

Togaru smirked. "Alright then. Which ones?"

"I'll tell you since we're on the same team and you should know," started Neito before putting the hairs back in his pocket. "Solid Air, Twin Impact and Scales."

"Not bad. But you should've gotten that metal quirk from that Tetsu guy," said Togaru after a moment.

Neito let out a sigh. "I tried, but he said his quirk would've made my unfair quirk even more unbalanced. Said something stupid about it not being manly and all that."

"What an idiot," commented Togaru. "There's no fairness in the real world. You have to take and use every advantage you can get."

"True." Neito stretched his neck. "Alright. We're about to start. Remember the plan?"

Togaru scoffed as his blades retracted back into his body. "You just hold up your end of the deal and I'll take care of the loudmouth." Neito didn't say anything but nodded in response. Soon enough, they heard All Might telling them the trial started and they took off.

Some minutes before All Might announced the start of the trial, Katsuki and Mina were inside the room with the bomb and things were not going well. Even with watching two trials already, the two of them just couldn't get on the same page. Well, one of them was trying but the other was being stubborn and wanted to do everything by himself. Mina was frustrated over her partner's attitude and egotistical behavior. And Katsuki was annoyed over the pink skinned girl's incessant blabbering and trying to tell him what to do.

Crossing her arms, Mina narrowed her eyes onto the blonde. "Excuse me, I'm talking to you!"

"I don't care, now shut up Raccoon Eyes!" snapped Katsuki without even looking at her.

Her mouth fell open at his insult and was stunned silent for a few seconds before responding back. "My name's Mina Ashido! And I would've let you call me Mina but since you're being such a jerk, you can only call me Ashido-san!"

Katsuki didn't reply back. Instead he moved closer to the room door and stopped when he was within arm's reach of it. Can't this shit start already?! I really need to let off some steam before I fuckin lose it! He crossed his arms and glared at the door with such intensity that one would've thought that he had been insulted by it.

"Wow, the silent treatment? What are you, five?" asked Mina but again she wasn't answered. But she did hear a low growl coming from him. A smirk formed on her face. "Oh, I'm sorry. Am I getting on your nerves?" She could see him start shaking from his anger and her smirk grew. "Well good, because you should know better than to ignore a beautiful girl who's trying to work with you! Keep up with that shitty attitude and no one will ever like you!"

Katsuki growled again before he started shouting back without even looking at her. "Do you ever shut up, you raccoon eyed, attention seeking extra?!"

Mina became angered over his words and crossed her arms over her chest. "Wow, Toru was right. You really are an asshole."

Katsuki snapped his gaze back to her while a feral expression formed on his face. "The fuck you call me?!" he asked her.

"You heard me," replied Mina while glaring at him without fear.

"Fuck off Raccoon Eyes," growled Katsuki before facing forward again. He started shaking from his anger but controlled himself. "Listen well you extra because I'm only gonna say this once; I'm here to become the next number one hero. Everything else is unimportant and just stepping stones for me. Now quit being so fuckin annoying! Get ready to do your job and protect the bomb while I go destroy those 1B rejects!" ordered Katsuki.

"You're not the boss of me! And I didn't agree to that plan!" retorted Mina.

"BATTLE TRIAL STARTS NOW!"

Both of them heard All Might and Katsuki reached for the door. "Well too bad! Protect the bomb! And I swear if we lose because of you, I'll blow you the fuck up!" Without waiting for a reply, he practically shot out of the room.

Mina was left in the room with a stunned expression on her face over everything until she snapped out of it. "Wow, what an egotistical prick! How the hell does Kiri like hanging around him?" Shaking her head, Mina let out a sigh before looking at the bomb. "Well, I guess I have no choice but to follow what that asshole said to do for now. But I swear I'm gonna get him back for this…"

Neito and Togaru were walking quietly down a hallway together while keeping their eyes open. They had already checked through the first floor and went up to the second. Both of them couldn't wait until they crossed paths with the other team. Or more specifically, the yellow haired bombardier was the one they wanted to fight against. And it was all thanks to a rather intense argument that involved harsh words and insults traded between the three of them when they were in the locker room getting changed. If it wasn't for their classmates getting involved, they probably would've had their fight right there. But the way it turned out, both Neito and Togaru believed that this way would be better. They could go all out against their shared hated opponent and they wouldn't get in trouble for it.

Rounding a corner, Neito took a couple steps before he signaled for his partner to stop as he did so. "Hey, do you hear that?" he asked in a whisper.

Togaru strained to hear what he was talking about. He was about to tell him off for imagining things when he heard it too. "Yeah. Sounds like the small pops that dumbass makes. They're getting louder. But why does it sound like it's coming from…" His eyes widening, he whirled around as he started shouting. "He's coming from behind! Hurry up and…"

Togaru wasn't able to finish speaking because a large explosion shot through the hallway and was practically on top of them in a split second. Barely able to react, Togaru covered his face within his crossed arms while blades formed as additional protection and braced himself. The explosion consumed him and he felt the burn for a second before it suddenly vanished. What the… Peeking through his arms, he saw a semi clear wall of air in front of him that was protecting him.

"Sorry for the late activation," stated Neito as he stood beside his teammate who turned his gaze to look at him. "I mixed up the hairs and it took me a couple tries to get it right."

"Better late than never," commented Togaru as he stood up straight.

"Yeah, but it won't hold up so let's move it," stated Neito and his teammate agreed with both of them running down the hallway.

Several seconds later, the wall of air shattered from the might of the explosion but it died down after traveling a few more feet. Katsuki snarled at seeing the hallway empty. Those fuckin chicken shits! All that shit talking in the locker rooms and they don't have the balls to back it up! Igniting small explosions in his hands, Katsuki used them to fly through the hallway to go after the other team. He could hear them running and he increased his pace. "You can't run from me, you cowards!" bellowed Katsuki.

Tightly rounding a corner through the air, he saw the other team already going up the stairs at the end. "Get back here and fight, you useless shit stains!" Gaining on them, Katsuki was barely twenty feet away when he started getting ready to launch another explosion right at them.

But then Neito turned around abruptly the moment they reached the halfway point and shot hundreds of scales from his arms down towards Katsuki. "Eat this!"

Katsuki didn't falter at all and continued with his original plan. He fired another explosion from his right hand. It swallowed up the incoming scales and turned them to ash. That shocked Neito, freezing him in place a second too long and he was struck by the explosion.

"Aahh!" Neito was sent flying up the stairs and collided against the wall before falling down onto the floor. He shakily stood back up and raised his head in time to receive a right hook against his cheek. "Ack!" Spit flew from his mouth and he stumbled to the side a bit. Stabilizing himself, he quickly reacted and made another wall of air in front of him in time to stop a follow up punch before running up the rest of the stairs.

"Fuckin coward! What happened to all that shit talking huh?! Fight me!" shouted Katsuki angrily. Using another explosion, he destroyed the air wall and followed after him. He quickly caught up to him and fired another explosion. But that one too was stopped by another air wall and when he caught sight of his target's expression, he growled loudly.

Neito had a smug look on his face. "What happened, tough guy? Are your measly explosions not strong enough to take down some walls of solidified air?" taunted the 1B student before setting up two more air walls in front of him.

Katsuki snarled in response and raised both of his palms towards the air walls. He was about to fire one of his largest explosions when his instincts screamed out at him. He ducked in time to dodge an incoming swing from behind. Throwing a straight back kick, he hit Togaru square in the chest that made him take several steps back. "I was wondering where you were hiding," stated Katsuki.

"I wasn't hiding dipshit. Just waiting for my chance to strike," retorted Togaru.

Katsuki scoffed. "Yeah, like a little bitch instead of facing me head on."

"I'll show you who's a bitch!" snapped Togaru as he quickly moved forward and began his assault with his bladed wrists.

Katsuki dodged the first few strikes before backpedaling and took up a fighting stance. "You're faster than you look bug boy!"

"Is that best insult you got? I'm disappointed!" retorted Togaru with his wrist blades lengthening.

"Then why you angry, you ugly fuck?!"

"Surprising words coming from someone with a face not even their mom can love!"

"Look who's talking! You can't even pay a hooker to screw you!"

"Fuck you!"

"Fuck you!"

Katsuki and Togaru snarled at one another before continuing their fight. Insulting each other while attempting to hit the other with their strikes, the two became lost in their battle. Their fight continued with both landing hits on the other. And yet their anger was keeping them from withdrawing. Katsuki had several cuts on him while Togaru had some burns on his body with several of his blades blackened from the explosions.

They kept going and were oblivious to the dumbfounded look on Neito. The blonde had used his teammate's ambush to continue on and find the bomb. When he did, he came back to double team their opponent before heading back. But what he saw made him become still from shock. What the hell?! We don't have time for this! We have to win!

It was at that moment when both combatants landed a hit against the other at the same time and Neito capitalized on that. Finally! Using his third quirk he copied, he landed a remote second strike against the blonde bombardier that sent him reeling. That allowed Togaru to deliver a roundhouse kick against his side that Neito also used Twin Impact on. Katsuki was sent straight into the wall and he fell onto the floor.

"Let's go! I know where the bomb is!"

"Alright!" Togaru followed after Neito as the two headed towards the last room on the next floor with the later leaving air walls randomly.

Katsuki rose up onto his hands and knees before shaking his head to clear his mind. A moment later, his brain processed what happened and he became filled with rage. Those fuckin bastards! Standing up, Katsuki let loose explosions behind him as he flew after them. He collided into an air wall and fell down. Realizing what they were doing, he snarled loudly and his anger went through the roof. They think they got the better of me?! I'll show them! I'll show everyone that no one messes with me! Letting out a roar of rage, he let off some explosions and followed after them through another path…

During the entire time that the trial had started, Mina did what she could do while guarding the bomb. She made a makeshift wall around it that covered a little more than half of it using whatever she could find in the room. After that, she sprayed some acid around it in a wide berth like a moat around a castle.

Once finished, she admired her handiwork and placed her hands onto her hips. Not bad, if I do say so myself! That acid should make them think twice if they get here. Good thing I used one of the weaker ones otherwise the floor would've melted.

Nodding to herself, Mina turned around and faced the door while waiting. After some time, she raised her arms and wrapped them over her head before she started walking closer to the door. I wonder what's going on... Lowering her right hand, she pressed her communicator's button that was in her ear. "Bakugo, what's yo-"

She was both prevented from continuing and caught off guard when the door was suddenly broken down and both Neito and Togaru rushed in. "Get her!" ordered Togaru.

"I know damn it!" replied Neito.

Shit! Mina recovered in time to dodge a volley of scales that Neito fired at her by throwing herself to the side. She rolled on the ground before landing onto her feet. Letting out acid from her feet, she began moving faster while skating over the floor thanks to her acid. "I'm not that easy, boys!" called out Mina while evading more scales and at the same time, prevented the other one from reaching the bomb by throwing a glob of acid at him.

Great, she's just like Tokage! Thought both Neito and Togaru from her remark while trying to dodge her acid.

"What the hell?!" yelped Togaru as he evaded most of the acid but a little fell onto his back. "That shit stings!" He moved behind a pillar to get some cover when another glob of acid was thrown at him. "The hell you doing?! Take her down already!"

"I'm trying! But she moves too fast!" replied Neito.

"Moron! Use the air walls!"

"Oh, shit, right!"

Air walls? That can't be good! I need to stop them now! "I don't think so! Give up heroes! You'll never-ACK!" Mina collided head first into an air wall that appeared all of a sudden right in front of her that Neito put up. Dropping to the floor in a daze, her head was spinning and her vision was blurry.

"Hurry up and capture her before loudmouth gets here!" ordered Neito as he moved to the bomb. "I don't know how long those air walls will last!"

"I know, damn it! Hurry up with your shit!" replied Togaru as he took out his capture tape.

While still in a daze and trying to get her bearings back, Mina knew she had to get back up and stop them or her team would lose. She barely got to her feet when something crashed through the room window that caught her and the other two's attention.

A snarling spiky blonde haired bombardier was glaring at his opposition with rage. "You fuckin bastards! You think some shitty ass air walls will stop me?!" yelled Katsuki. He raised his hands and had his palms face them with multiple small pops going off.

Togaru and Neito were sporting shocked expressions with wide eyes at his arrival. Only when they saw the miniature explosions going off in his hands did they snap out of it.

But by then, it was too late. Katsuki let loose two massive explosions that raced towards his targets and rocked the room. Both Neito and Togaru were blasted from their feet and sent colliding into the room wall that caused indentations in the wall. Falling onto the floor, both of them groaned in pain. They struggled to get back up but had a hard time doing so.

Katsuki was about to finish them off when All Might's voice was heard. "TIME'S UP! VILLAIN TEAM WINS!"

Hearing that, Katsuki fumed. He didn't want to win by a technicality but by his own strength. Glaring at the two who struggled to their feet, he turned away from them and made his way out of the room. "You punks got lucky this round. Next time, I'm gonna completely wreck your shit." He stopped by the door and turned to look at the pink haired girl who was getting back up onto her feet. She too was thrown off her feet from the blowback from his blasts but luckily for her she wasn't injured. "Not bad Raccoon Eyes. You were able to hold them off until I got here. You're not completely useless."

"Be careful with your blasts damn it! And my name's Mina Ashido! Not Raccoon Eyes! And that's Ashido-san to you!" said Mina, repeating herself from earlier. "And if you think your lame compliments are enough to make me even remotely like you, then think again asshole!"

"Like I give a shit who the fuck you like," scoffed Katsuki before his eyes narrowed. "And watch how you talk to me. Girl or not, I'll blow you up if you keep pissing me off," he added as he continued out of the room.

Mina, Neito and Togaru could only glare at Katsuki's retreating back while two of them thought the same thing; this ain't over!

When they all made it back to the observation tower, just like with the previous teams, their classmates gathered around them. Statements consisting of praise, suggestions, advice and even some questions were directed to the four. Katsuki ate up all the praise and acted as if there was no chance in hell that he'd lose. Mina was at first annoyed over his behavior but when her friends started complimenting her, she decided to move on from it. Neito and Togaru were keeping quiet while keeping their sight on the one who had beaten them.

And just like before, they all quieted down when All Might entered the room and he stood in front of the four. "Good job all of you. I have some points I'd like to make." Turning his gaze towards Neito and Togaru, he spoke to them first. "The plan that you two made before the start was well thought out. Trying to overcome your opponent with hit and run tactics. Ambushing him when he least expects it. Setting up annoyances to slow him down. Helping each other out while also looking for the bomb when you had the chances. Those were all good plans and good teamwork shown."

Togaru and Neito couldn't help but feel a little better over his words. "However, you dropped the ball on several occasions." Both of them felt their elation vanishing as they continued to listen to his words. "Monoma, there were a few times where you didn't react quickly enough and you also mixed up what you wanted to do. I advise you to focus on those issues."

Neito nodded with a stoic expression. "Yes, Sensei."

"Kamakiri…" started All Might as he faced him fully now. "You dragged out the battle more than you should've and didn't capitalize when you had the upper hand. Also, you could've taken advantage when your opponent was taken down. Why didn't you capture Bakugo when you had the opportunity?" he asked.

"I…I didn't think about that. I was just thinking about winning the fight," admitted Togaru with a pained look on his face.

"I see. Remember that there are more ways to win and save the day than just fighting," reminded All Might and he was given a nod in return.

Turning to the other team, All Might started speaking to them. "You two won with the time limit being reached. But you probably would've won in the end anyways with the way things we're going." Both teams had different reactions hearing that but he kept going. "But, you had your own issues and if you worked together then you would've had a better chance."

All Might looked into Katsuki's eyes before he spoke. "Bakugo, you refused help from your teammate and underestimated your opponents a few times that forced you to take drastic measures and you were disrespectful. What were the reasons behind those actions?" he asked.

Katsuki scowled before answering some of his questions. "Because I'm aiming for the number one spot and the best hero doesn't need help! I don't need help! I can do everything on my own!"

Everyone there had mixed reactions from his words with some even making comments about it but they were ignored by Katsuki. All Might didn't say anything at first while keeping his gaze on the bombardier. He noticed how he didn't answer one of his questions and mentally noted that. A moment later, he spoke. "No one can do anything and everything on their own."

"You can!" snapped Katsuki with some of his peers agreeing with that since they believed that.

All Might shook his head. "Can I save someone who's pushed off a building's roof in Tokyo while rescuing a drowning child in the lake at the same time?" Katsuki and the rest of the first years went silent as they understood him. "There will be times when you'll need help. And you mustn't think of yourself weak or useless if you do receive help. No one is perfect. Not you, not me, not anyone. Also, you need to communicate better with your peers and show them some respect."

All Might waited a few seconds to see if he'll get a response but when he got none, he figured leaving things on that point was good enough. Facing the last of the four, he had his signature smile form on his face. "I don't have much to say about you Ashido-san. You did well today. You tried to be cooperative with your partner. When left on your own, you didn't sit by idly. You created defensive structures to the best of your ability. And you didn't give up when you were outnumbered and adapted to the situation the best you could. The only things I can say is to work on being aware of your surroundings and don't be afraid to be a little more assertive in team ups."

Mina positively glowed from her assessment that was filled with more positives than negatives. She started jumping up and down while cheering for herself. "Yea, I'm the best! Sorry boys, but I'm just too hot to handle! Hehehe! Alien Queen wins again!"

Most everyone became amused at Mina's behavior with some even chuckling. Eijiro smiled at seeing his childhood friend so happy. Setsuna grinned as she thought that she might have found a kindred spirit with Yui and Itsuka glancing at each other with slight worry. And Mina's group of friends giggled at seeing her so.

All Might chuckled a little over her display before signaling them to all calm down. "Alright, alright, time for the next trials. D teams are up!"

XXXXXXXXXX D TEAMS' TRIAL XXXXXXXXXX

Villains – Eijiro Kirishima & Ochaco Uraraka

Heroes – Kosei Tsuburaba & Juzo Honenuki

"Wow, I don't feel any weight at all!"

"Thanks, but it wasn't even that heavy to begin with."

"Still, this is pretty useful. We're almost to the middle floor too."

"Yeah. I hope the doors we left open with stuff messed around will stall them."

"Me too. Good idea by the way."

"Thanks."

"No problem. And I think this is the last room."

"I'll get the door."

Ochaco and Eijiro moved into the room they selected to place the bomb in. After finding the bomb, they quickly brainstormed and came up with a plan. Having decided to move the bomb to the middle floor, they made their way to it while continuing with their ideas. One of which was leaving behind open doors with some stuff messed with to make their opponents think they might be hiding inside. Once inside and Ochaco negated her quirk on the bomb, Eijiro set it down in the far corner. Looking around, they found some random items in the room along with some furniture.

Getting an idea, Ochaco walked towards some wooden chairs and placed her hands on them. Her quirk activated and the chairs started to float. Holding onto them, she went back to her partner who was giving her a curious look. "Here, take one," stated Ochaco.

"Ah…what am I gonna do with a chair?" asked Eijiro.

Letting out a sigh, Ochaco pushed the chair onto him while speaking. "It's not affected by gravity but it still has mass. We can use them as makeshift weapons without worrying about getting tired from their weight."

Eijiro's eyes widened in understanding before looking at the chair and taking the one offered to him. "That's actually a great idea! Wow, you're so manly!"

Ochaco had a confused look on her face. "But I'm a girl." He started chuckling and her expression changed to slight annoyance. "Why are you laughing?"

Eijiro shook his head. "Sorry, I meant it as a compliment like you're cool. And I was chuckling because Mina would say that to me too whenever I said that to her."

"Ah, okay." Silence for a second between the two until Ochaco happened to just blurt out something without thinking. "You two seem pretty close."

Eijiro reddened slightly but it went unnoticed. "Well…we practically grew up together so yea…"

"That's what Mina said too," said Ochaco offhandedly.

"Really?" asked Eijiro.

"Yeah. She's very chatty and open about her feelings and want she wants."

"Yeah, that sounds like Mina. Has she reached your listening limit yet?" he asked with a chuckle.

Ochaco smiled and shook her head. "Nope. But, once she's on a role, it's hard to get her to stop. Especially when she's talking about love, relationships, what people she 'ships' together, her hero, her dancing, her…"

"Wait, hold up. Her hero?" interrupted Eijiro curiously.

Ochaco was confused for a second before her eyes widened. She hurried to cover up her mistake. "Oh, that. Um, it's nothing really. Just you know, girl talk and all that." She started heading for the door. "Anyway, we should focus on the trial."

Eijiro knew there was something because of her reaction and a few thoughts went through his head. Did Mina say something about what happened to us with those villains? We're supposed to stay quiet on that…and I didn't know that Mina had a 'hero'…wait, is it about that guy? The one with the green hair who saved us? An unknown feeling filled him and he wondered what that was.

But he quickly shook it off and refocused on the task at hand when his teammate reached the door and asked if he was alright. "I'm good and you're right Uraraka-san. Let's focus and show what we can do." He saw her nod at him and left the room. He followed after her a second later. I'm sure it's nothing. Just Mina being Mina again. Right now, I need to focus!

Leaving the room, the moment Eijiro caught up with Ochaco, a voice was heard in their ears. "BATTLE TRIAL STARTS NOW!" All Might's voice made the two jump a bit in their spots. Chuckling for a second at first, they both became serious before nodding at one another.

Making their way down the hall, they stopped at the staircase. "Remember the plan?" asked Ochaco.

"Yeah! Go on the offensive and trick them as to where the bomb is! Let's do this!" replied Eijiro with excitement as he charged forward and Ochaco followed after him.

Kosei Tsuburaba and Juzo Honenuki were on edge as they went through the building separately. After All Might let them know the trial started, they entered the building with their guards up at the same time. However, Juzo went on ahead to scout things out while using his quirk to swim through the floor. He did quick checks through all the rooms while Kosei followed from behind while doing more thorough checks in case his partner missed something. They kept communicating with each other about their progress while keeping an eye out for their opponents. They didn't know what quirks their opponents had. And after witnessing their class fail twice already, they didn't want to add another tally mark to that by losing themselves.

But their patience was wearing thin due to checking all the rooms with doors left open and things messed with. "This is taking forever!" hissed Kosei after clearing another room. He reached up to his ear and pressed the button on his communicator. "Hey, Juzo, any luck?" he asked.

"Nothing yet. I just got to the second floor."

Kosei let out a sigh at his partner's reply before responding. "At this rate, we'll lose. We need to pick up the pace."

"Hey, don't tell me what to do. And we'll be fine as long as we stick to the plan," advised Juzo.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever. Just be careful so they don't ambush you or something," said Kosei.

Juzo scoffed as he quickly checked another room before heading to the next one on the second floor. "I doubt they can catch me when I'm swimming through the ground. The only one who would've been an issue for me was probably that Todoroki guy with his ice." Peering inside the room, Juzo found nothing and let out a grumble. "Nothing again. Great," said Juzo to himself.

Turning around he was about to leave the room when he started hearing footsteps. Staying in the room he was in, Juzo spoke to his partner in a whisper while hiding behind the door. "Hey, are you still on the first floor?"

"Yeah, why?" asked Kosei.

"Okay. I think I hear them both."

"Both? Why would they both be here? What about protecting the bomb? Unless…"

"Unless it's on the top floor and they want to stall us until time runs out."

"Not a bad plan. Too bad it won't work. I'm gonna try to ambush them so get up here quick."

"Roger."

Juzo finished speaking and went completely silent. He listened to the footsteps getting closer and louder and waited for his chance to strike. That's it, keep coming closer. He knelt down and placed both his hands on the floor near the doorway as the footsteps drew nearer. Just a little more. A little more. Right…there! Activating his quirk right when the footsteps sounded next to the door, Juzo had the floor soften and turn mud like to trap the other team.

"What the hell?!"

"What's happening?!"

"Shit, they got the drop on us!"

"Do something!"

"I can't! I'm stuck!"

"Me too!"

Juzo grinned at hearing them shout in panic. Thinking they should be stuck well enough, he stopped using his quirk and headed out of the room quickly while gloating. "You lose villains! You never stood…" Juzo went quiet as he stopped abruptly over what he saw. The villain team from class 1A was not trapped as he believed. Instead, both of them were standing on top of chairs that were sunk into the floor halfway through. "What the…"

"That wasn't manly!" shouted Eijiro as he jumped from his chair towards Juzo.

Juzo dodged the lunge at the last second as he replied back. "What the hell are you talking about?!"

"A hero shouldn't use sneak attacks! It's unmanly!" replied Eijiro as he quickly took up a fighting stance after missing.

"There's nothing unmanly about using whatever you can to subdue villains!" countered back Juzo as he faced Eijiro.

"Gotcha!" shouted Ochaco as she jumped from her chair towards Juzo with her hands in front of her.

Juzo cursed himself for completely forgetting about the girl. He didn't have enough time to activate his quirk and drop into the floor. But luckily for him, he didn't need to. Because at the last second, his attacker collided into an air wall and dropped to the floor.

"Ow! What was that?" asked Ochaco as she nursed her head.

"That would be my air walls!" informed Kosei behind Eijiro, who spun around to face the new arrival. "You should surrender villains! You can't win!"

"Not until the fat lady sings!" stated Eijiro as he jumped at Kosei. Throwing a right hook at him, his punch was intercepted by a wall of air. "This won't hold for long!" shouted Eijiro as he started punching the air wall continuously. It broke but then another was put up quickly.

"Kirishima! Look out!" shouted Ochaco but her warning was too late.

Juzo activated his quirk again and before Eijiro knew what was happening, he was starting to sink into the ground.

"Shit!" Struggling to get free, Eijiro wasn't able to. If anything, it acted like it was quick sand because they more he moved around, the faster he seemed to sink into the ground. Before he knew it, he was chest deep into the floor and unable to move. "Damn it!"

"KIRISHIMA HAS BEEN CAPTURED!" All Might's announcement let them all know that he was out of the game now.

"Damn it!" repeated Eijiro in frustration.

"That takes care of one," stated Juzo, standing up. Turning around, he looked at the brunette who wasn't able to do anything because of the air wall that was still in front of her. "You're all alone now."

Kosei dismissed the air wall and moved closer to his teammate and the brunette. "Yeah, you should give up. I don't wanna hurt that pretty face of yours," he said with a cocky smile.

Ochaco frowned at that. Normally, she probably would've blushed a little or become shy if someone she liked or respected said something like that to her. But she never did like it coming from arrogant people or those she didn't like. She learned how to pick up on bad vibes thanks to all the construction workers she grew up around due to her family's business. "If a pretty face is all you care about, then go find a doll! And just because I'm alone, doesn't mean I lost!" snapped Ochaco, backing away while trying to come up with a plan.

"Wow, pretty and feisty. I like that," commented Kosei with his smile turning into a smirk.

"Ah dude, wanna focus on the match instead of hitting on my teammate?" asked Eijiro.

Kosei shrugged. "Can't blame a guy for trying, you know?"

"Well, I'm not here to get into a relationship! Especially with someone like you!" growled Ochaco.

"Well, if you won't go out with me or surrender, then I'll just have to take you down!" Kosei jumped towards her while using his quirk.

Ochaco bumped into something with her back and she instantly realized it was another one of those air walls. Keeping her gaze on the one advancing, she readied herself to fight back. Sidestepping his lunging attack, she reached forward to touch him to make him float with her quirk. She was an inch away from him when she felt herself sink into the floor. "No!" Ochaco looked down to see her feet going into the floor. Activating her quirk on herself to make herself weightless, she hoped it would allow her to get free. But unfortunately it didn't do much good and she kept sinking until she was unable to move.

"URARAKA HAS BEEN CAPTURED! HEROES WIN!"

"And that's that," remarked Kosei with his smirk still on his face.

Juzo gave a rather creepy toothed grin due to having no lips. "We win."

"Yeah, you guys won. Now, you wanna get us out of here?" asked Eijiro.

"Oh right. I gotcha," replied Juzo. He used his quirk again to set them free before they all headed back.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

When the four of them were back inside the observation room, most of the class 1A girls with the exception of Yaoyorozu went up to Ochaco. They saw she was irritated and after a few questions, they found out it wasn't just because she lost overwhelmingly but also because of one of her opponents annoying her during the match and on the way back. Eijiro had gotten the guy to back off finally after telling him about his close friend being very good with acid and doesn't like pushy guys.

Mina smiled and glanced at Kirishima. Her smile turned into a frown though when she saw the resident loudmouth of their class berating him for his embarrassing loss. And her childhood friend was just taking it without arguing back. What the hell Kiri? Letting out a sigh, she refocused on Ochaco.

Neito, Togaru and a few others were congratulating their classmates for their crushing victory with Kosei and Juzo soaking it up. Puffing up their chest with pride, they started boasting about their abilities. Some of their classmates just rolled their eyes or gave them annoyed looks since they believed that their attitude wasn't going to help with interclass relationships.

After sharing some comments, suggestions, questions and several other things, they all went silent when All Might entered the room. Moving towards them, All Might started speaking. "Not bad 'D' teams. The four of you did well in certain parts but there is definitely room for improvement in a lot of areas."

He stopped in front of Ochaco and Eijiro. "Your quick decision making and cooperative nature were good and allowed you to quickly come up with plans. Bomb location and distractions were also good. You also quickly adjusted to the ambush." They both smiled over the praise. "But you would've been more effective if you two were more versatile and quicker to react to your adversaries." Their smiles vanished as All Might fully faced the red head. "Kirishima, you have great defenses and your agility isn't lacking, so be more than just a charging wall. You need to learn to multitask and stay aware of everyone in the battle while figuring out which task or opponent to handle first. And don't go after a new opponent as soon as they appear unless absolutely necessary."

"Yes Sensei," replied Eijiro as he hung his head.

All Might turned to face Ochaco. "Uraraka, your initial idea of using chairs as makeshift weapons with your quirk was good. But you could've used it on more than just the two items correct?" She nodded while explaining her weight limit and how if she uses too much, she'll vomit. "I understand but still, remember to use your quirk to the fullest. With more things to use, you have more options to help you get out of a tough situation. Also, you need to be more aware of your surroundings. And, do not rely on just your quirk." She tilted her head at that. "I know my statements may contradict each other. But what I mean is use your quirk to the fullest, but don't just rely on it. You tried to make the opposite team float but other than that, you had no other ideas. Correct?" Ochaco gave a sheepish look before nodding. "That's what I mean. Learn to be more versatile and be more creative. You should learn a martial art that would benefit you and compliment your quirk usage."

"Will do Sensei!" responded Ochaco with conviction in her tone.

All Might smiled before turning to Juzo and Kosei. "Tsuburaba and Honenuki, both of you did really well. You cooperated and came up with a plan together quickly. Your constant communication throughout the exercise was good and that sort of thing helps with team missions. Your quirk usage was also great and you worked together to overcome the other team." Both Juzo and Kosei grinned at that. "My advice would be to continue to hone your abilities but also, to tone down the unnecessary chatter." He turned to face Kosei fully at this point who gave a curious look. "And Tsuburaba, keep your focus and remember to respect everyone you encounter. Doesn't matter who. Understand?"

Kosei looked away to the side with slight shame and nodded. "Yes Sensei."

All Might looked at the four again and smiled. "A phone call is here! A phone call is here!" Suddenly getting a call on his cell phone, All Might wondered who it was as he took it out. The students all had varying reactions but they were all some sort of amusement over his ring tone. Looking at his phone, All Might had a curious expression form on his face. Why is he calling me? Picking it up, he placed the phone against his ear. "Hel-"

"All Might," interrupted the voice. "You sold me out didn't you?"

Gulping over the furious tone of voice, All Might replied back. "Now, now, Aizawa, I didn't mean…"

"Don't care. Because of you, I had my precious sleep interrupted by a rather vindictive dominatrix. And I don't take kindly to that. I'm gonna…"

*Click* All Might ended the call, not wanting to deal with the angered and sleep depraved underground hero at the moment. Seeing the looks on his students' faces, he gave them a small smile. "Nothing to worry about. Let's get back to…"

"A phone call is here! A phone call is here!"

Letting out a sigh, All Might picked up the phone. Before he could even say anything, he was cut off. "You think you can just hang up on me and everything's gonna be alright? Well, be prepared. Next time I see you, I'm gonna strangle you with my scarf until you…"

*Click* All Might ended the call again. Immediately, his phone rang again and he silenced the call and then completely silenced his phone afterwards. I'm in trouble. But I'll deal with that later. Putting his phone away, he faced his students who were giving him concerned looks. "Nothing to worry about!"

"You sure Sensei?" asked Kyoka, with everyone turning to look at her. "I'm sorry but I couldn't help but overhear what was said. What did you do?"

Her question made everyone turn back towards All Might who chuckled weakly. "Nothing important and nothing for you to get involved with. Everything's all right. Or should I say, everything's all might!" He laughed boisterously in an obvious attempt to move things along.

His students groaned at his lame joke. Kyoka shook her head with a disapproving gaze on her face. "He's so dead," she whispered. Her friends that consisted of most of the class 1A girls and some new friends they made from class 1B heard her.

"What, why?" asked Toru for them all.

"He did something that pissed off Aizawa."

Her answer made her fellow class 1A girls shiver while her new friends from class 1B gave them confused looks while thinking who could possibly go up against the number one hero…
