Stefan stood there looking dumbstruck as she put her bookmark in her book, I examined her, Bella.
Up close, Bella Swan was not as unattractive as I initially thought, she was fairly attractive, I guess.
Her hair and eyes looked black against her pale skin, and her top was nice a light blue color, but it looked 3 sizes too big and made her legs look skinnier.
Her sneakers looked worn out on their last leg, and she was in dire need of a comb.
Bella had an uncomfortable look on her face, she patted a spot just above her ear, and I could see the stitches, I turned to Stefan, who turned to her.
Was he that stunned by her looks?
'Stefan,' I repeated, 'are you okay?'
Stefan looked up at me, then back at Bella, I, too, had to look at her, again.
I wanted to see what was it about her that always had his attention, even when he was with me.
Alaric cleared his throat. 'Kinda busy, here, Isobel.'
She rolled her eyes as the sun's rays hit her hair, it looked red now.
'It's Isabella.' she groaned.
She teetered out the door, and Damon all but shoved her out of the door.
'He's her uncle.'
'Who?'
'Her uncle, the boy from the photo, is her uncle. I knew there was a connection.'
'What?'
'What photo?'
'Stefan, what are you saying?'
'Your lives are practically identical, I even pointed. it out.'
I touched Stefan's shoulders. 'Stefan?'
'Bella's uncle, he was their friend.'
'What?'
'Did you get your book?' asked Jeremy at lunch.
'Yeah, but not without complication.'
'What do you mean?'
'First, I practically had to beg to get him to let me get it, and two, he was in there with your sister and the Salvatore brothers.'
'What was going on there?'
'They told me it was a parent-teacher conference-'
'With Elena there?'
'She was the witness.'
'To what?'
I shrugged. 'Stefan went to space when saw the photo.'
'I thought he saw these.'
'We didn't get a chance to see them before I threw my drink at him.'
'They all seem to hate Uncle John.'
'So does Gran.'
'I noticed.'
'She told me that the girl in the photo had a child.'
Jeremy looked me in the eye. 'Seriously, Bella, this woman, she might be-'
'I saw her last night.'
'Bella.'
'Jeremy. I'm not ready talk about that.'
He sighed. 'Saw who?'
'Bella!' called Elena's voice.
I mentally frowned and my stomach churned, I didn't want to talk to her.
'I'm not feeling well.'
'Bella,' Elena said as she, the Salvatores, and the Saltman drew near me, 'hello.'
What did she want?
What did they all what?
I felt the room turn its attention to me as the quartet gathered around, Elena in front, Stefan and the Saltman on the both sides of the table, and Damon to my back.
I began to feel apprehensive and trapped.
'I have to go.'
'Sit down,' damon insisted, 'we wanna talk to you.'
'What's wrong?' Jeremy looked between them and me.
'We just want to talk to Bella.' the saltman.
'My chest feels tight.' I heard my voice say.
'Could you give us a minute, Jer?'
'No. Don't leave me Jeremy.'
It felt like I was being strangled, I could hardly breathe.
'Bella, are you ok?' asked a muffled voice.
It sounded like Jeremy, but couldn't be sure, my heart was beating so loud...
'Bella?'
I don't know who that was...
Why was I so sweaty?
I heard the word faking, I think.
Maybe, I don't know. I'm not even sure if this is real.
My mouth was so dry, and I felt dizzy.
'I don't feel...'
I heard screaming as I fell out of my chair.
