Chapter 27: Beautiful Trauma.

Two days later, Jean is sleeping peacefully and dreaming that she's on board the Thousand Sunny and eating with the Strawhat pirates. She playfully stabs Luffy's hand with her fork to keep him from stealing some of her food when everything suddenly freezes and then begins to change. Jean now finds herself standing in the living room of her and Lucifer's house. She looks around and spots Lucifer standing ten feet away from her. He looks depressed and his wings are being held low to the ground. Jean becomes worried about her ugear and asks him, "Luci, are you okay?"

He shifts his weight from one foot to the other, "Do you still love me?"

Jean looks at him confused, "Of course, I do. Why would you think that I've stopped loving you?"

His wings relax a little and he looks relieved, "Because this is very similar to what happened with my dad. I angered him so he stopped loving me and kicked me out of my home."

Jean's eyes soften and she walks up to stand in front of him then cups his face with her hands. She strokes his cheeks with her thumbs, "That's absolutely ridiculous. I may get mad at you sometimes, but I will never stop loving you. And I'm sure that God still loves you too. I mean...my dad and I fought all of the time and there were even times when we physically exchanged blows, but I knew that no matter what happened between us, my father still loved me. Besides, put yourself in your dad's shoes for a moment," Jean removes her right hand from Lucifer's face and places it on her swollen belly. "If one of our children were to defy you and go against your wishes you would be angry with them, maybe even punish them, but you wouldn't stop loving them, would you?"

Lucifer nuzzles his face against Jean's left hand while placing one of his own hands over her hand on top of her belly. He wraps his sparkly, hot pink wings around her encasing her in a soft, feathery cocoon. "Of course not."

Jean smiles at Lucifer and gently begins to run her fingers through his feathers. He hums in pleasure as her fingers move to groom his sensitive tertiary feathers. His icy blue eyes meet her emerald green orbs, "Does this mean that I am forgiven?"

"No."

Lucifer sighs, "Then what do I have to do for you to forgive me?"

Jean huffs, "What you did to Bobby was cruel and heartless so I'm not going to forgive you very easily." Jean thinks for a moment while ignoring Lucifer's pout. An idea comes to her and she tells her husband, "I will forgive you if you do something nice for Bobby."

Lucifer looks at Jean in disbelief, "Are you serious? You want me to do something nice? For a hairless ape?"

Jean tugs gently on some of his less sensitive feathers. "Yes. And until you do, you're not allowed around me when I'm not asleep." Lucifer's pout intensifies and Jean raises an eyebrow at him. "It could've been worse, Luci. I could have said that I'd only forgive you if Bobby forgives you...And we both know that isn't gonna happen."

"Fine. What do you want me to do?"

"I'm sure you'll think of something. Now," Jean says, signalling a change in subject. "Let's talk about baby names." This lifts Lucifer's mood immediately. "If we have twin girls I was thinking either Pamela Ivy and Mary Harley or Ororo Jada and Selena Kyle."

Lucifer snorts, "Ororo? Isn't that a brand of cookie?"

"No, that's Oreo. Ororo is Storm's real name from X-Men. I got Jada from my favorite actress, Jada Pinkette Smith. And Selena Kyle is Catwoman's real name."

"We are not naming any of our kids after comic book characters," Lucifer tells Jean, rolling his eyes.

"We'll see." Jean claps her hands together, "Now if we have boys I was thinking either Fred and George, Dracule and Toshinori, or John Dean and Robert Samuel."

"First of all: there's no way that we're naming our sons after your father or brothers. Second: you actually want to name one of our sons a name that literally means 'son of the Devil?'" Lastly: I told you that we're not naming any of our children after comic books characters."

"I'll have you know that none of those names came from comic books. I got Fred and George from the Harry Potter books. While Dracule and Toshinori are from different anime." Lucifer rolls his eyes, "If we have one boy and one girl maybe Helel Jordan for the boy and Yvaine Aurora for the girl."

"Helel..." Lucifer's feathers puff up with pride, "I do like the idea of naming our son after me. Yvaine means 'the evening star' and Aurora means 'dawn'." He smiles at his etam, "I like both of those names. Although, I feel like you're tricking me with the name Helel Jordan."

Jean gives Lucifer her best innocent look, "Who me? Trying to trick my handsome hubby? Nah." Lucifer chuckles in amusement then kisses her passionately on the lips.

A week passes by and Jean is starting to get cabin fever from being stuck inside of Bobby's house. The older hunter won't let her go anywhere; not even to the grocery store whenever she's having food cravings. Instead Castiel, Ellen, Jo, or Sheriff Jody Mills bring her whatever it is that she's craving; within reason, of course. They absolutely refuse to bring her chalk or anything else non-edible that she may be craving. Bobby has even had to hide the coffee grounds because he caught her eating some of it.

One day, Dean and Sam stop by Bobby's to check on Jean and to see if Bobby has any leads on a hunt for them. Jean walks down the stairs and into Bobby's study. She's wearing the maternity shirt that Dean got her for Christmas; the one with a picture of a watermelon over her belly and the words 'Don't Eat Watermelon Seeds.' Bobby is telling the boys about a vengeful spirit case in Utah when Jean interrupts. "Hey, guys!" The three men turn to look at her, "Look what I can do!" She lifts her shirt to reveal her swollen belly. Jean has drawn two eyes and a nose above her belly button which acts as the face's mouth. She then begins to whistle The Andy Griffith Show theme while sucking in and then puffing out her stomach, making it look like the face on her stomach is whistling.

Once she's done, Bobby facepalms, Sam is looking at her in concern, and Dean is chuckling. "You two, take your idjit sister with you before she loses what's left of her sanity."

"All right!" Jean cheers, covering her belly with her shirt. "Road trip! Let me go get my travel bag!" She then hobbles off to her temporary room to pack. Being almost twenty-one weeks pregnant with twins, Jean is having trouble getting up and down stairs now. Once she makes it to the top of the stairs she quickly; or as quickly as a woman in her condition can; packs a duffel bag with everything that she will need. She then walks to the upstairs bathroom to wash the body paint off of her stomach before heading back downstairs to the study with her bag. "So, where are we going?"

Dean turns to Jean with a permanent marker in his hand while Sam stands up from the couch and takes her bag from her. "Rutherford, Utah for a simple salt and burn. But before we go, I have to draw the warding sigil on your arm to make sure Lucifer doesn't show up without an invitation."

Jean lifts the left sleeve of her shirt and Dean begins to draw the Enochian symbol on her arm. "This only keeps Luci away physically, you know. He can still visit me in my dreams."

Bobby grumpily says, "There's nothing we can do about that...unfortunately."

Thirty minutes later, the Winchester siblings say their goodbyes to Bobby and walk outside to the Impala. Jean is walking ahead of her brothers, eager to finally be going somewhere. Dean suddenly laughs loudly causing Jean to stop and turn around to face him. "What's so funny?" she asks him.

"The way you walk. You waddle like a penguin now."

Jean turns back around and starts walking again. "You'll never catch me, Batman! Wah, wah, wah, wah." Dean and Sam both laugh at their sister's antics.

They're on the road for the next seven hours, stopping frequently so that Jean can pee or for her to buy snacks. At eight p.m. they finally stop for the night at a cheap motel about thirty minutes outside of Rutherford. As soon as Dean opens the door to their motel room Jean makes her way quickly to the bathroom while Sam and Dean bring their stuff in.

For the next few hours, Sam does research on his computer while Jean and Dean watch episodes of One Piece on her own laptop. "Go get 'em Luffy!" Jean cheers while bouncing slightly on the bed that she's sharing with Dean. The babies are kicking and squirming at their mother's excitement.

Dean chuckles at his twin's behavior while Sam looks over at her in concern. "Are you sure you should be getting so excited in your condition, Jeanie?"

The red headed woman scoffs, "It's fine, Sammy." She pops a mini powdered doughnut into her mouth. One of the babies suddenly presses against Jean's bladder, "Uh-oh. Gotta pee." She pauses the episode, "I'll be back," she tells her twin imitating Arnorld Schwarzenegger. She struggles to stand up from the bed and after several attempts she manages to do so with help from Dean. She walks across the room to the bathroom, leaving her last two doughnuts unguarded. When she comes out of the bathroom her doughnuts are gone and there's white powder around Dean's mouth. Jean is extremely pissed off, "Dean! Did you eat my doughnuts?!"

Dean's eyes widen slightly at just how angry Jean is. "Uh, no, of course not."

Jean glares at him, "Then what's that white stuff all over your face?"

"Cocaine."

Jean's anger instantly vanishes and she bursts out laughing. She walks over to Dean and hugs him tightly. "I love you. Don't ever change, Dean-o." She then walks over to where Sam is sitting on his own bed and gives him a hug as well. "I love you too, Sammy." Sam hugs her back while exchanging a look with Dean over their sister's shoulder. Dean just shrugs a little at Jean's rapidly changing mood swings.

Finally, at midnight, the three siblings leave the motel to go to the local cemetery. As the two brothers dig up the grave of Scarlet Temple, Jean sits on a nearby tombstone singing "Diggin' Up Bones" by Randy Travis. They finish at three in the morning then return to their motel room. Sam carries Jean inside because she fell asleep in the Impala an hour ago. He gently places her down on the bed closest to the door before going into the bathroom to take a shower. After he's done, he flops down on his own bed and instantly falls asleep. Dean then takes a shower himself, and when he's done he turns out the lights then lays down on the bed next to his twin. The slight movement of the bed causes Jean to stir and cuddle up to her twin brother.

An hour later, a noise from inside their motel room wakes Dean up. Laying on his stomach, he slowly moves his hand under his pillow going for his Colt M1911A1 that he keeps there. But when he discovers that it's missing, his eyes snap open. An unknown man's voice says, "Looking for this?" Dean slightly lifts himself up and looks over his shoulder to see a man wearing a black ski mask holding his Colt. There's a click as the magazine is removed from Dean's gun and a thud when it hits the floor.

Dean lifts his head up some more only to be greeted by the sight of a shotgun being pointed at him. Dean immediately rolls over on top of Jean in order to shield her body with his own. He then looks over to the right to check on Sam. Sam is sitting up on his bed and there's a second man in a black ski mask pointing another shotgun at him. Jean wakes up, groans, and sleepily mumbles, "What's goin' on? Get off me, Dean." She tries to shove her twin off of her, but he refuses to budge. "Damn it, Dean! I said get..." she abruptly stops speaking when she manages to get a peek over Dean's shoulder.

Dean covers more of Jean's body with his own to hide her from the two strangers. "Morning," Dean greets the room.

"Shut up," the man pointing his shotgun at Dean says. This man is wearing blue jeans, brown work boots, and a green flannel shirt with a jean jacket over it. The other man is dressed similarly, but with a tan flannel shirt and a brown coat. "Hands where I can see them. Both of you."

Both of the twins slowly raise their hands. Dean tilts his head to the side, recognizing the man's voice. "Wait a minute," Dean says, slowly sitting up but making sure that his body is still protecting Jean's. "Is that you, Roy? It is, isn't it?" He turns his head to look at the other man, the one pointing a shotgun at Sam. "Which makes you Walt. Heya, Walt."

The two men in the ski masks look at each other before the one in the brown coat, Walt, lifts the bottom of his mask to reveal his face. "Don't matter," Walt says as Roy lifts the bottom of his own mask, revealing his scruffy face.

"Well, is it just me or do you two seem a tad upset?" Dean sasses.

Walt ignores him and turns his attention to the youngest Winchester. "You think you can flip the switch on the Apocalypse and just walk away, Sam?"

Jean lifts her right hand higher and Roy jumps, cocking his shotgun and pointing it at her. "Whoa! Easy there, tiger. I just have an itch on my left arm. There's no need to get trigger happy." Once she sees Roy relax a little, she continues to slowly move her right hand up to her left bicep and starts to rub and scratch at it. While to Roy and Walt it looks like Jean is merely scratching, Dean and Sam know that she's actually trying to break the warding sigil that's keeping Lucifer away.

Sam asks, "Who told you that?"

"We ain't the only hunters after you," Walt tells him then cocks his shotgun, making Sam jump slightly. "See you in the next life."

"Hear me out. I can explain. Okay? Please." Sam says, trying to buy time. Sam and Walt stare at each other for a long moment. "At least let Jean go. She's pregnant." Walt and Roy exchange surprised glances then look over at the female Winchester. Dean reluctantly shifts just enough to show them Jean's protruding belly. "Please, let her go."

Walt looks back at Sam then pulls the trigger of his shotgun. The buckshot hits Sam directly in the chest, killing him instantly and causing his lifeless body to fall backwards onto the bed. "Sammy!" Jean screams.

Dean starts to stand up to go to Sam, but Roy stops him. "Stay the hell down."

Dean and Jean just stare at their little brother's body in shock. Walt tells Roy, "Shoot them."

Roy looks at Walt, clearly uncomfortable with his orders. "Killing Sam was right, but Jean and Dean...Jean's pregnant Walt. We can't shoot her."

"They know who we are and we just snuffed their little brother, you idiot." Dean is getting over his shock and now looks absolutely pissed. "You wanna spend the rest of your life knowing that Dean and Jean Winchester's on your ass? Because I don't. Shoot them."

Dean looks over at Roy, "Go ahead, Roy. Do it." He turns to fully face Roy, "But I'm gonna warn you, when I come back...I'm gonna be pissed." Dean states distracting the two hunters while Jean slowly lowers her right hand down to the bed then under her pillow where she keeps her silver knife. "As for Jean...Not only will you fail to kill her, but the instant you point that gun at her, I guarantee you that you're going to die a very painful death at the hands of her..." Dean makes a face like he's tasted something bad, "husband." Dean and Roy stare each other down and Jean takes advantage of this opportunity to carefully slide the knife out from under her pillow. "Come on! Let's get this show on the road." The two stare each other down once again.

"Come on, already," Walt says, causing Dean to look over at him. Walt then cocks his gun and shoots Dean in the chest. Dean's body falls backwards onto Jean's lap.

Walt then points his shotgun at Jean and cocks it again. Suddenly, the entire building starts to shake violently. "What the hell is that?!" Roy shouts while trying to keep his balance.

"That," Jean says, her irises now glowing crimson. She raises her knife to her left bicep, "Is my husband." Walt manages to steady himself and aims his gun at her again as she slashes the knife across her bicep, cutting through the sleeve of her shirt and her skin, breaking the warding sigil. The building stops shaking as Jean yells, "Lucifer!"

The temperature in the room drastically drops causing the windows to frost over. Walt squeezes the trigger of his shotgun, but the fallen archangel appears in front of his etam, taking the buckshot directly in his chest without even flinching. Lightning and fire flashes throughout the room, exposing the shadows of his six gigantic wings to the two men. Lucifer's eyes are glowing a bright crimson in his rage. "Holy shit!" Roy and Walt shout at the same time. Walt cocks his gun again, but Lucifer reaches out and pulls it out of the man's hands. Roy raises his own shotgun and Lucifer simply lifts his right hand then snaps his fingers causing Roy to violently explode, covering everything in a spray of blood and guts. "What the fuck?!" Walt stumbles backwards away from the pissed off fallen archangel. He draws an iron knife from a sheath on his belt then holds it out in front of him.

Within the blink of an eye, Lucifer closes the distance between him and Walt then grabs Walt's arm that is holding the knife. "You're going to wish that your death was as quick as your friend's before I am through with you." Lucifer snarls at him before ripping the limb away from Walt's body. Walt's screams fill the room as Lucifer slowly rips him apart bit by bit.

While Lucifer is dealing with Walt, Jean is cradling Dean's head and sobbing uncontrollably. She gently moves Dean's body off of her lap before shakily standing up and walking over to Sam's body. She then climbs onto the bed and cradles Sam's head in her lap.

Castiel suddenly appears in the room and quietly moves towards Jean so as not to draw the attention of the pissed off Devil. "Jean."

The female Winchester lifts her head to look at Castiel. "Cass? What are you doing here?" She manages to ask in between sobs.

"Dean prayed to me before he died." Jean lets out a small quiet wail. "He was worried that you wouldn't be able to break the warding sigil in time." He spots her bleeding bicep, "You're hurt. Let me heal you." As Castiel moves closer to Jean, Walt's screaming abruptly ends. A loud angry hiss; like that of a pissed off black mamba; replaces the sound of screaming. Castiel's hot pink wings immediately lower in submission and press against his back in fear. Castiel turns to face Lucifer, who is flaring all six of his sparkly, hot pink wings in anger at the younger angel. In Lucifer's right hand is Walt's heart and he throws it to the side before taking a menacing step towards Castiel. The younger angel quickly vanishes leaving Lucifer and Jean alone in the room with her brother's bodies.

With the threats gone, Lucifer turns his full attention on his still sobbing etam. He approaches her, wrapping his wings around her protectively. He stops at the edge of the bed then reaches out to grasp her left bicep and heal her. "No more using that damn warding sigil. Not only does it keep me from getting to you, but it seems to interfere with the babies' developing grace." Jean just nods her head in agreement, still crying. "Jean, everything will be okay. Sam and Dean will soon be brought back to life." He then starts to purr in order to calm his crying etam down. Jean carefully places Sam's head down on the bed before practically throwing herself at her husband. Lucifer wraps both of his arms around her and pulls her against him. After several minutes, Jean finally starts to calm down; her sobs being reduced to sniffles. He stops purring long enough to tell her, "I need to get you out of here."

Jean shakes her head, "I...I can't leave them."

"Castiel is still nearby. He's waiting for me to leave. He will watch over their bodies." Lucifer pulls away from her slightly to cup her bloody face with his bloody hands. "I'm taking you home and running you a nice warm bath."

Jean sniffles, "Are...are you sure that...Sam will be brought back too?"

"Yes, my love."

"How...how can you be so sure? You don't need Sam as your vessel anymore..."

"Because I know my brother. Michael will want everything the way that dad wanted it."

Jean asks curiously, "And you don't?"

"What can I say? I'm a rebel," he gives her a smirk and winks at her.

Lucifer takes Jean back to their secluded house. They appear in the master bedroom and then he guides her into the master bathroom. Lucifer is purring once again in order to keep Jean calm. He turns on the water to their large bathtub, making sure that the temperature isn't too hot or too cold. While the bathtub is filling up with water Lucifer snaps his fingers to remove the blood from both of their clothes and bodies before he strips Jean of her clothes, gently slapping her hands away when she tries to take her clothes off herself. He turns off the water before helping her into the large bathtub. He starts to gently wash her body with a washcloth and her favorite body wash. After he's done, he helps her out of the tub then dries her body with a fluffy red towel. Jean follows Lucifer out of the bathroom, back into their bedroom, and over to the large black mirror finished wardrobe. She rummages around in the drawers until she decides on a pair of orange panties, navy blue silk sleep pants, and a black nightgown with the words 'I Solemnly Swear That I Am Up to No Good' on the front. Once she's dressed, Lucifer picks her up bridal style, walks over to the bed, then gently places her down. "Jean, you and the babies need to rest."

"I couldn't possibly fall asleep right now," Jean says, sitting up.

"I know. That's why I'm going to put you to sleep. When you wake up, everything will be fine. You'll see."

Jean nods her head, "Luci?" He hums to show that he's listening. "You're officially forgiven."

He places a chaste kiss on her lips, "Goodnight, my love." He then touches her forehead with the index and middle fingers of his right hand causing Jean to instantly fall into a deep and peaceful sleep.

Lucifer then grabs her phone, rolls up her shirt in order to really show off her belly, and takes a picture of her. He puts the phone in the pocket of his jeans before whistling for Ramsey. Lucifer's hellhound is at his side in a matter of seconds and he tells her, "Stay with Jean and protect her. If she wakes up, come get me." Ramsey barks before getting up on the bed and curling up beside her mistress. Lucifer reaches out and scratches the extremely large hellhound behind her black pointed ears. "Good girl." He then disappears from their home.

He reappears in a long hallway in the depths of hell where they keep the most important souls imprisoned. The few demons that are in the hall immediately bow to him and start to suck up to him. However, he ignores them as he makes his way towards a specific door near the end of the hallway. As he is approaching, the female demon, Meg, is about to open the door and begin torturing the soul within, but she stops when she sees him. "My Lord, what a pleasant surprise," she says in a sultry tone of voice. "I was just about to begin...Would you like to watch? Maybe afterward I could..."

"You're not needed here. I'm going to torture him myself today." Meg pouts, but moves to the side to let Lucifer through to the door. "Oh, and Meg?"

Meg smirks sexily at him, "Yes, Father?"

"If you suggest such a thing to me ever again...It will be the last thing you ever do." He then opens the door and walks inside without glancing back at the demon. He slowly closes the door behind him before turning around to face the sole occupant of the cell who is strapped down to a torture rack. "I've heard that not a single demon has gotten you to break yet. Not even Alastair. I have to admit that I am impressed, John." He snaps his fingers and a simple wooden chair appears in front of the rack and he calmly sits down.

John Winchester smirks cockily at Lucifer, "What can I say? I guess none of you demons have what it takes to get the job done. Or the balls."

Lucifer nods, "I agree. Most of them are useless."

John raises an eyebrow, "Aren't you a demon?"

"Me?" Lucifer points at himself, "Ah, of course. I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Lucifer." Lightning flashes through the air, momentarily lighting up the dark cell and revealing the shadows of Lucifer's six gigantic wings.

John stares at him in disbelief, "As in the Devil?"

"The very same." Lucifer stares unblinkingly at John.

"So your minions couldn't cut it and now you're here to torture me yourself?"

Lucifer taps his chin with the index finger of his right hand, "Physically, no. I just came here to have a little chat with you."

John's curiosity peaked, "About what?"

"About your daughter."

John tenses up, "I don't know what you're talking about. I don't have a daughter."

Lucifer chuckles, "You're a horrible liar, John. But I admire the fact that you're trying to protect her." He stands up and removes Jean's phone from his pocket. "Trust me, I know all about Jean, John." He pulls up the picture that he took of Jean moments ago. He walks over to John, "I thought that you would like to see how she's doing."

John looks at Lucifer suspiciously as he turns the phone around for John to see the picture. John is shocked, "My little Red is pregnant?"

"Mm-hmm. With twins."

John suddenly becomes angry, "You stay the fuck away from them!"

Lucifer smirks at him, "Now, John...you wouldn't want to tear your grandchildren's father away from them would you? Tsk, tsk, tsk. And here I thought family was so important to you."

John's face hardens, "You're lying. Jean would never sleep with a monster like you. I raised her better than that."

"Poor choice of words, John. Because from what I learned from Jean and from her memories you barely had a hand in raising her at all. She spent more time with Bobby Singer and Jim Murphy than she did with you."

John clenches his jaw, "I did the best that I could."

Lucifer nods, "I bet that you did. It's just too bad that your best was what others would consider half-assed. But, hey! It works out for me in the end. After all, I get to have your beautiful daughter as my wife and mother of my children." Lucifer can see John struggle to try to get free from the rack. He turns his back to the man, "Jean won't be very happy with me if I were to lay a finger on you, but we both know there are better ways of torturing someone other than physically." Lucifer walks back to his chair and sits down again, "Let's start by talking about how much of a freak between the sheets that your daughter is. Of course, she wasn't always like that. She was pretty innocent about sex before I got my hands on her."
