At the League of Villains hideout, Shigaraki and Kurogiri were watching a summer broadcast on All Might. The news broadcast was reporting on how All Might went from being number one hero to U.A. High School teacher. Before the reported could clarify All Might's work and his great achievements, Kurogiri immediately turned off the TV and looked at Shigaraki.
I've figured it out. Tomura thought with a smile. Why the Hero Killer pisses me off so much. And why those UA brats drive me crazy. It's because of All Might. And that stupid plan, as though he doesn't have a care in the world. Smiling thoughtlessly. As if there's no one he can't save. Like he's undefeatable.
Tomura then exited out of the hideout. Kurogiri looked down at the playing card that showed an image of Izuku Midoriya.
"Izuku Midoriya." Kurogiri said to himself. "Quirkless until middle school, when he suddenly manifested a power. After enrolling at UA High, he distinguished himself by finishing in the top twelve at their world-famous sports festival. Then, during the Hosu incident, he and his friends fought the Hero Killer: Stain…and won. Afterward, the Hero Killer chose to spare the child's life. Izuku Midoriya was acknowledged by Stain, the man seeking true heroes, as worthy. He judged Tomura Shigaraki quite differently."
Kurogiri then looked down at another playing cards that showed an image of Luna Yagi.
"And Luna Yagi." Kurogiri added. "After enrolling at UA High, she suddenly unleashed that unknown power within her and became one of top twelve at the U.A. sports festival. She and her friends also won their battle against Comet during the Hosu incident. I have a feeling that Tomura Shigaraki might have develop some sort of attraction to this girl."
Tomura kept walking through the darken alleyway under the sunny sky.
Just picture it. A world without the Symbol of Peace. Tomura thought sinisterly. I'll show society just how fragile their sense of safety is.
In her house, Luna was practicing martial art moves in her bedroom. Now that her intense first semester at UA is over, she and her classmates are out for summer vacation in preparation. But she's aware that she doesn't have time to relax. She wants to prepare herself for the upcoming training camp in the woods by continuing her independent training on her Divine Trinity Quirk.
Luna took a deep breath and stared at the family photo that showed her parents and her childhood self.
Mom…Dad… Luna thought. She looked at the mirror to stare at the pink triquetra mark appearing on her forehead. There are still times when I can't believe it that I'm getting close on mastering my Quirk into the next level. I just hope I've made you guys proud of my progress.
Suddenly, the sound of the doorbell snapped Luna out of her thought. The triquetra mark faded away from her forehead. She exited out of her room and opened the front door to confront Selene, Diana, and Aisha.
"Diana? Aisha? Selene?" Luna said. "What's going on?"
"We're heading to the pool." Diana replied. "We thought you wanna join us."
"The pool?" Luna repeated in confusion.
"Yeah, something to refresh ourselves before the summer training camp." Aisha said.
"So, we can train and have fun together." Selene added.
"Okay, I'm down." Luna said with a smile.
In U.A. High, the girls walked in through the main gate and arrived inside their locker rooms. They exited the locker rooms and then strolled down the hallway towards the pool in their blue school-issued swimsuits.
"So, remind me again why the school grant permission for us to use the pool?" Luna asked.
"Beats me." Aisha replied with a shrug. "I got a text for Jiro and she invited me to join the rest of the girls to the school's pool until 5pm. She then sends me another text that said something about the boys are using the pool for endurance training."
"Well, after you girls left early, Mina and Hagakure invite me to join in about the conservation about vacations since Class 1-A isn't allowed to go anyway, so they have other plans in mind." Selene said.
[Flashback]
After the finals was over, all female Class 1-A students gathered together around near Yaoyorozu's desk.
"Wait, so we're not supposed to take any long trips over summer vacation?" Uraraka said.
"Yeah, apparently that's what the school said." Jiro replied as she crossed her arms over her chest.
"How unfortunate." Yaoyorozu said with a sad frown. "I was supposed to spend several weeks touring Venice with my parents."
"I know how you feel." Selene said with a gloomy sigh. "My mother and I were planning on going to Jamaica as our vacation spot this summer."
"What are your lives?!" Uraraka cried with wide eyes.
"Aw, and I just brought like bajillion new swimsuits." Mina whined.
"Well, turns out, that's what happens when your class is attacked by the League of Villains." Jiro said.
"But I wanna do something!" Mina complained. "I don't wanna spend my whole summer bored! That's so dumb!"
"I've got it! Why don't we hang out at the school pool over summer vacation, huh?" Hagakure suggested.
"Good idea." Tsuyu agreed. "I bet we can talk to the teachers into letting us use it if we ask them nicely."
"Plus, it'll be free, so we'll save money." Uraraka pointed out.
"That's way better than being cooped up in my room." Mina said.
"Leave it to me." Yaoyorozu beamed as she stood up from her seat. "I'll start working on a formal proposal right away."
Mineta's ears began to perk up at Yaoyorozu's statement. But he wasn't aware that Selene was looking over at him with narrow eyes. There's no telling what Mineta will be planning some dirty scheme on getting to see the girls in their swimsuits when he overheard the girls' conversation.
Selene let out a devious smile as she has an idea to ruin Mineta's perverted chance.
[Flashback Ends]
"So, you three could thank that idiot for that school swimsuit idea." Selene said.
"Hey, as long as we get pumped for the training camp, I'm good." Diana grinned.
As the girls finally arrived at the pool, their male classmates noticed them approaching out of the doorway. Only Shoto was staring at Aisha with a surprise look on his face.
"Hello, ladies." Iida greeted.
"Hi, Iida." Selene greeted back.
"Hey, Diana!" Mina called out with an enthusiastic smile. She and the rest of the girls were floating in the pool. "We're about to play volleyball! You girls wanna join us?"
"Sure!" Diana smiled. "I'm in!"
Diana ran forward and jumped in the pool. Aisha, Luna, and Selene followed Diana as they hopped into the pool.
As the girls started playing a few rounds of volleyball in the pool, Iida began leading the boys into intense endurance training. After a few minutes of time, Iida decided for the boys to take a break from their endurance training.
"Alright, let's take a fifteen-minute breather! I brought these for everyone! So, please drink up!" Iida announced.
As Iida went over to fetch his small blue cooler, Luna was sitting on the edge of the pool with her feet dangling into the water. She stared at the water in her own little world as she paid no attention to Selene, Diana, and Aisha swimming towards her.
"Hey, Luna."
Luna snapped out of her spacey stare and looked up to see Selene, Diana, and Aisha pushing themselves up to sit on the pool edge of either side of their best friend.
"Are you okay?" Aisha asked in a worry tone.
"Yeah, I'm fine." Luna replied with a sheepish smile. "Just lost in the thought, that's all."
"Hey, Selene!" Iida shouted. He stood in front of his small cooler. "You girls thirsty over there? Hydration is important, you know!"
"Yes, please!" Selene smiled.
"What flavor do you prefer?" Iida asked.
"Doesn't matter!" Selene said.
Iida thrusted his hand around in the cooler for a second and then pulled out four random flavors in his hands. Aisha raised her hand and engulfed the cold drink cans with green psychokinetic aura before levitating the cans in her hands and her friends' hands with grateful smiles. Aisha, Selene, Luna, and Diana popped up the tab and enjoyed the ice-cold drink in delight.
"You know what's strange?" Selene asked.
"What?" Luna said.
"That the four of us continue to grow strong as great friends." Selene responded. "Despite all those crazy times we have in UA, it somehow kept us stronger."
"Well, it was our dream to attend U.A." Luna said with an optimistic smile. "But when I unleashed my Divine Trinity and went out of control, I thought I was literally done for good."
"But you didn't give up." Diana added. "Especially during the final exam, mostly. Even though we did our best from the entrance exam all the way to the finals, you were so hella awesome."
Luna smiled confidently for her friend's comment. She recalled previous memories of how strong she has become during the entire semester.
In the Entrance Exam, Luna have proven herself to reveal the true qualities of a hero by saving Diana from one of these colossal robots in a single blow with the power of her Divine Trinity that impressed the judges enough to grant her seventy-seven points. In the Quirk Apprehension Test, Luna was able to pass all eight physical tests without using her Divine Trinity Quirk to gauge her potential, but she got the second highest score in the ball throw. During the Battle Trial, Luna and Aisha were victorious as heroes against their friends Selene and Diana, who played as the villains that were told to guard the missile from them. During the Sports Festival, Luna and Izuku finished the obstacle race in first place and moved on to the main fight for the champion title. But despite the fact that she lost the match against Aisha, Luna was able to help her friend express her emotions again even though she wants to win with everything she got. In the Rescue Training Race, Luna showcased her new abilities by using Dazzling Trinity and ending up winning the race. And finally, in the First Term Final Exam, Luna passed the exam when she was paired up with Izuku and Katsuki to fight against their teacher and her father All Might.
Despite all odds, Luna won't stop herself from continuing her dreams of becoming a hero just like her parents.
"You better!"
Diana, Luna, Selene, and Aisha turned their heads at the familiar voice as they saw Kirishima and Katsuki abruptly arriving in the pool. They immediately stood up on their feet and walked their way to the boys.
"The next time I beat you, I want you to be at your strongest, you damn nerd!" Katsuki yelled threateningly.
Izuku jumped immediately with terror as Katsuki came marching up to him.
"Kacchan!" Izuku yelped in fear.
"Hey, I got your message. Sorry, I'm late." Kirishima smiled, sticking his arm out to block Katsuki from stomping towards Izuku on sight. "Took a while to convince Bakugo to come out."
That's not very surprising. Izuku and Luna thought.
"So, Deku. You wanna settle who's the best between us right now, huh?" Katsuki asked darkly as he started to release small explosions from his hands.
"No. That's not it." Izuku replied quickly as he lifted his hands up defensively.
"Actually, you know what? We could make this training a contest." Iida mused.
Izuku and Luna looked straight at Iida with surprise faces.
"Hey, everyone! I propose that we see which one of the boys can swim 50 meters the fastest! A friendly race!" Iida announced to his male classmates.
"Yeah!" Kaminari smirked in the shade.
"That sounds fun!" Sero grinned.
"Let's do it!" Sato smiled.
"Iida." Yaoyorozu called as she and her female classmates gathered together out of the pool. "Why don't you let us help you out with this?"
"Yes, please." Iida said.
"And Quirks. Can we use them?" Ojiro asked.
"We're at school, so there shouldn't be a problem with that. However, you cannot cause damage to your classmates or the building." Iida answered.
Katsuki let out a dangerous smirk on his face before walking up to Izuku.
"I'm gonna annihilate you, Deku." Katsuki said to Izuku. He turned his head over to Shoto, who was sitting against the wall. "And you too, Icy Hot! You bastard!"
Shoto looked at Katsuki with a composed yet challenging look on his face.
Then, Katsuki looked back at Luna.
"And Luna." Katsuki said in a calm tone. "You better be cheering me on. And only me."
Luna's cheeks flustered, but she let out a bright smile.
"Don't worry, I will. All the way." Luna said with a nod.
Either I'm hearing things or is Bakugo acting calm and nonthreatening towards Luna? Selene pondered curiously.
"Are they really taking this seriously?" Aisha said with a sigh.
"Boys will be boys." Diana said as she rolled her eyes.
In this informal swimming competition, the Class A boys decided to race each other in three groups and the winners of each round will race for the first place.
The first-round competitors are Mineta, Fumikage, Koda, Katsuki, and Kaminari. They readied themselves for the race as Yaoyorozu stood at the end of the pool with a whistle in her hand.
"All right, now, everyone on your marks!" Yaoyorozu said. "Get set!"
As Yaoyorozu blew the whistle, everyone jumped into the pool and started swimming as fast as they can. But Katsuki had an alternative method. He began emitting explosions with his hands positioning in his opposing direction and propelling himself forward through the air. That generated enough speed for Katsuki to blast himself across over the surface of the pool and reach the other end without even swimming, which allowed him to win the race.
"How was that, you sidekicks?" Katsuki yelled arrogantly.
"What do you think you're doing?" Sero protested as he and Kirishima climbed out of the water.
"You didn't even touch the water!" Kirishima objected.
"It's called freestyle swimming!" Katsuki retorted.
Katsuki then caught Luna giving him a cheering smile and a thumb-up, making his cheeks blush on his face.
The second-round competitors are Sero, Aoyama, Shoto, Sato, and Kirishima.
"Everyone on your marks! Get set!" Yaoyorozu said.
As soon Yaoyorozu blew the whistle, everyone used their respective Quirks to reach the other side of the pool without touching the water at all. Sero was firing long lengths of tape to reach the other side of the pool. Aoyama fired a powerful blue sparkly laser beam from his navel to win the race, but his Quirk started hurting his stomach that made him deviate and collide with Sero, causing them to fall into the pool together.
But then, Shoto froze the water underneath his feet and glided smoothly over to the other side to win the race without problems.
"You're supposed to be swimming!" Kaminari and Mineta protested in unison.
The third-round competitors are Iida, Izuku, Ojiro, and Shoji.
"Last group on your marks. Get set!" Yaoyorozu said.
At the sound of Yaoyorozu's whistle, everyone dove into the pool water. Iida was sliding across the pool lane rope to get ahead of others with his Engine Quirk. But Izuku quickly noticed his friend's strategy and started activating his One For All: Full Cowl to swim faster. Iida noticed Izuku approaching him with fast speed, making him boost his Quirk to go faster. When they approached the finish line, Izuku managed to win the race by a few centimeters.
That made everyone pleasantly surprised for Izuku's impressive speed.
Meanwhile, All Might and Tarot Chariot arrived at the police station as they were discussing the League of Villains' recent movements with Detective Tsukauchi.
"UA High School was attacked by the League of Villains during a rescue training session." Tsukauchi spoke. "It would come to be referred to as the USJ incident. Then there were the attacks by the Hero Killer Stain and the League of Villains in Hosu City, in what became known as the Hosu Incident. And just a few days ago, Tomura Shigaraki, thought to be the leader of the League of Villains, cornered Izuku Midoriya and Luna Yagi, two students in the Hero Course at UA High. As far as we can tell, the League of Villains hasn't made a move since."
"That's true. But I'm sure they're hiding in the shadows, waiting to strike again." All Might said.
"Likely, yes. The police are currently working alongside heroes to gather as much information about the group as possible." Tsukauchi explained. He then watched All Might pumping himself into his muscle form. "When we do find out where they've been hiding, we'll need you and your wife, All Might."
"We won't disappoint you, Tsukauchi." All Might said with dangerous glint in his eyes.
"If those villains think they can threaten our student and our daughter, they got another thing coming." Tarot Chariot said as she produced a pink energy card in between her index and middle fingers. "I've been working on a new move that will sure give them a full-blown knockout."
"God, I love your badass side, babe." All Might said with a thumb-up.
"I know." Tarot Chariot said with a flirtatious wink.
Meanwhile, the winners of the previous rounds are preparing for the final race.
"It's time for the final race." Iida said. He looked at Shoto, Katsuki, and Izuku. "Bakugo. Todoroki. Midoriya. As the winners of each heat, you'll fight for first place. Understand?"
"Got it." Izuku said.
"Yes." Shoto said.
Katsuki's gaze turned over to Shoto threateningly.
"Listen up, Scarface." Katsuki said to Shoto with narrow eyes. "Don't you dare hold back like you did at the Sports Festival. Bring everything you've got!"
"I will." Shoto said with a bold tone in his voice.
"You too. Fight to win." Katsuki said to Izuku.
"Yeah, I will. I promise." Izuku said.
The final round competitors are Shoto, Izuku, and Katsuki. They took their positions at the ledge of the pool with determined faces as their classmates were ready to watch the fated match in anticipation.
"Then, the 50-meter freestyle final race will know begin!" Iida shouted.
All male and female Class 1-A students started cheering for whether one of the boys to win victoriously.
"Now, on your marks." Iida said. "Get set!"
As Iida blew the whistle, the three boys sprang forward and suddenly fell straight into the water.
"What happened?" Kaminari asked.
"Why aren't they using their Quirks?" Sero wondered.
"It's 5pm."
Everyone turned their heads to see Aizawa walking up towards them with red glowing eyes and floating up hair.
"Your authorized pool time is officially over." Aizawa said. "Hurry up and go home."
"Come on. Just one second." Kaminari protested.
"We were finally getting to the good part." Sero objected.
"Are you questioning me?" Aizawa asked with an intimidating stare.
"Not at all, Mr. Aizawa!" Class 1-A students said quickly.
Diana, Selene, and Aisha began walking home together.
"Dammit!" Diana complained. "Mr. Aizawa had to stop the race. I was betting 1158 yens on Midoriya."
"Yeah, we know." Aisha said. "No need to get dramatic about it."
"Besides, we need to be focus on the upcoming training camp." Selene pointed out.
"I know." Diana said with a sigh. She formed a wide, thrilling smile across her face. "But watching the race made me feel pump with excitement. Doesn't matter what we face at the training camp, we will give everything we got to prove ourselves and the world as future heroes. It's only a matter of time until our time comes."
Selene and Aisha looked at Diana with smiles as they could already sense a surge of excitement rushing through Diana's body once again.
Later that night, Luna and All Might strolled together at the Dagoba Municipal Beach Park. They also caught Izuku looking over at the beach.
"Young Midoriya?" All Might said.
"Hey, Midoriya!" Luna greeted.
Izuku turned around to watch All Might and Luna waving at him.
"All Might! Luna! What are you two doing here?" Izuku asked.
"We could ask you the same." All Might said as he and Luna walked up to Izuku.
"I am here…Because this is where my journey began." Izuku replied.
All Might and Luna smiled at Izuku before looking at the beach and the night sky.
"Young Midoriya, Luna, the summer training camp training will be tough." All Might reminded. "Try your hardest."
"We will." Izuku and Luna promised.
During the night, Tomura sat on a stool inside the bar hideout and called someone on his phone.
"There's something I'd like you to prepare for me." Tomura said with a deadly smile. "That's right. We're about to start playing a brand-new game."
Enjoy and review.
