Natsuki had entered her office in a rush because she had gotten a call from her mother about the weekend's business party. Knowing her mother, she would have taken it upon herself about her choice of attire. Meaning she'll want Natsuki to wear an elegant evening dress with matching heels and appropriate jewelry. Unlike her cousin's mother, Saeko can be just as scary and forthcoming in getting what she wants. And on top of that she'll probably call up some fashion consultants. She tried to distract herself and was about to call her cousin to see how she was faring at her job, until with her keen ears, she turned to the door and the sounds of approaching boots were about to make their way in.

Oh please…please be anyone but her. Please, please, please…

"Natsuki Kuga!" A busty orange haired young woman had bursted into the office as she swung the office doors wide open.

I just can't win. The bluenette thought.

"Mai." Natsuki replied as she held her cup of coffee in her right hand while pretending to type away on her laptop with her left. "Good morning. What brings you here?" she asked the orange hair woman while not expecting her to be there.

"Oh you know why I'm here, Natsuki. Your mother just called me because you never called her back about the conversation you were having with her. And I have to admit, that was really rude of you to hang up on Saeko. She's your mother Natsuki, not some random crank caller."

"After having her blow up my phone all week, I couldn't tell the difference. And I know why she sent you here Mai and I'm telling you…the answer is no."

"Come on Natsuki! I bet you'll look great!"

"No."

"Okay. I guess it can't be helped. And honestly, I'm just amazed that Saeko didn't call Shizuru about this…"

"Ara, and who said she didn't" A very elegant yet southern voice had been heard.

Natsuki knew that voice anywhere. It brought a shivering chill down her spine but also a calming sensation. Which was one of the reasons that made the bluenette fall for her in the first place. Among other things.

"S-Shizuru. When did you get here?" Natsuki stammered her words with a look of shock. Shizuru looked over at the orange-haired woman and greeted her with a nod and vice-versa.

"Oh my Na-su-ki-! I've been here this whole time. You were just too paranoid and distracted to notice me. Have you been avoiding me too, my Natsuki?" She asked and covered her face when she was on the verge of breaking down.

Natsuki started to feel bad, she never liked when girls cry, especially when she was usually the cause of it. But when Shizuru would cry, she would start to panic. So she bolted off her seat and ran to her Kyoto-ben and placed her hands on her shoulders.

"Don't cry Shizuru please. I swear I wasn't avoiding you. I…I was just trying to keep up with the new clients that are coming through."

Shizuru Fujino, heiress to the world renowned Fujino Fashion Industry.

She was smart, beautiful, elegant and distinguished; with a large number of men and women who wanted love from such a beautiful woman. But unfortunately this gorgeous woman had already set her eyes on who she wanted.

"I know Natsuki. I was just joking." she giggled. Mai couldn't help but laugh out loud because she knew that Shizuru was playing the bluenette and didn't want to ruin the joke.

"Sometimes I don't like you guys." Natsuki mumbled.

"I was given the honor to do the job. Not only am I an employee of this company. I'm also your best friend. And Shizuru is here as well. She may be your partner in this company but she's also your partner in life."

Natsuki glanced over at Shizuru and couldn't help but smile. Not many knew about the bluenettes' relationship with the Fujino heiress. It was true that both families decided to merge their company's together but without the obligations to marriage. Apparently there was no need to take it too far when both heiressess were strong, smart and independent women that can take on more than what was given. Basically the only ones that knew were a chosen few, like Mon, Mai, Nao and Mikoto. But for Shizuru, it was her two best friends Haruka and Yukino. She wanted to keep the list short and to not advertise her private affairs.

Natsuki sighed again. "Mai, I am aware of my status. I just don't understand why I can't just wear what I want."

"Let us compromise a little. Instead of using your usual attire; How about I design an outfit that would be to your liking. And with the help of Ms. Tokiha. It'll be beautiful but also sophisticated. Comfortable but stylish. Heartbreaking, but also charming. What do you say my Natsuki, may we do this for you?"

Shizuru was wearing her infamous seductive smile. The kind that would always make the bluenette's knees feel like jelly and her heart would skip several beats.

"Okay I give. Yes Shizuru, you may make my outfit. I don't see the point in arguing anymore." She laid her head on the desk and mumbled to herself.

I swear. It's like I'm bound to be surrounded by women that happen to be high maintenance.

"Thank you Natsuki. I'll let you get back to work." Mai left and went to go plan some ideas.

While finally alone, Shizuru walked up from behind the bluenette and hugged her. Natsuki took hold of her arms and held them in place.

"Ara, when is Natsuki planning on telling her mother about us?" She whispered.

"Shizuru, now is not the time. I just want to concentrate on my work."

Shizuru removed herself from the embrace and walked in front of the desk facing Natsuki. "Ara, if I didn't know better, I would say that Natsuki cares more for this company than me."

"That's not true Shizuru and you know it. There's just so many things happening right now. Not only do we have potential clients showing up today, a board meeting starting in an hour, an employee with a promotion which she greatly deserves. I just got a text from Tsuna last night. It seems she and her boss got into a little spat."

Shizuru leaned forward on the desk and took hold of Natsuki's hands.

"That's why I'm here for love. You don't have to do everything on your own. I will deal with the client's while you handle the meeting. Then I'll announce the promotion while you help Mon with her problem. If she texted you so late last night then it must've been serious."

Shizuru had a soft spot for Mon. In fact, she was the first to ever find out about them. And it was the time Shizuru decided to spend quality time with Natsuki at Kuga mansion.

Flashback…

Both women were just about to go into the bluenettes room. It was obvious what they were going to do. They have been dating in secret for almost six months. It had happened way before they found out that their families were merging the company's together and was surprised at first but was able to recover from their state of shock. Anyways, they both sat on the bed and started making out. The kiss had started passionately and then it got a little bit intense, which they both were not complaining about. Certain clothing was coming off one by one, hands were roaming all over and kisses were planted in certain places. Natsuki laid Shizuru down and placed light butterfly kisses on her neck, cheeks, forehead, nose and lips. Shizuru let out several moans and Natsuki enjoyed hearing them and wanted to hear more from her lover as she ventured downward, but not before getting permission.

"Shizuru, is it okay if I…" Natsuki couldn't finish her sentence and could feel herself turning red from embarrassment.

"Yes my Natsuki, please make me yours." Shizuru said.

Natsuki could hear the lust in her lover's tone and proceeded to continue on her journey South. She continued to leave a trail of light kisses from her neck to her stomach. Shizuru's abdomen was so soft and smooth that she used her fingertips to do a feather light touch, which made the chestnut-hair shiver with delight and moan sensually. Natsuki took off Shizuru's skirt. She came up to the chestnut-haired woman and kissed her lips again and made it to her neck while Shizuru stretched upwards, giving Natsuki more access to her creamy neck.

She's already so wet. Natsuki thought.

Not wanting to keep her waiting, she grabbed the string of Shizuru's panties and pulled them down her legs. Not all the way, she left them dangling on her ankles. Hungrily, she dived in and began licking along her thighs and towards her entrance.

Natsuki heard her lover gasp and her hand clutched the bluenettes hair, pushing her closer, wanting more. Natsuki wanted more too. So she stuck her tongue inside of her. Playing with her while giving exactly what she wanted, the young Rebel rubbed and teased her clit, causing her body to heave rapidly with increased speed. Shizuru's legs rested on Natsuki's shoulders and started to lock around her head. She could still feel her panties over her ankles rub against the bluenettes back. Jolts of sensation were running throughout both bodies.

Just when things were starting to heat up and Shizuru was reaching her peak, the unexpected happened.

"Hey Natsu, did you see my laptop…"

Natsuki bolted upward with such speed so she could shield Shizuru from being exposed. "Tsuna!"

Mon had barged into Natsuki's room without a care in the world. What she had seen was something that will never leave her mind for years to come. Her lips had curled up into a mischievous smirk while staring at the couple with curiosity. She noticed that Shizuru was covering her face to hide her embarrassment and Natsuki was grabbing the blankets so she would cover her up.

"Seriously Tsuna! Ever heard of knocking!?"

"Me? Ever heard of locking? Honestly Natsu, you should start locking your doors if you're planning on having company over. You know there are a lot of rude people out there that will just walk in whenever they please." Mon said without knowing that she had done just that. She looked around and saw that her laptop was sitting on her cousin's desk. "You're lucky that it was me and not your mom, or my mom. Or worse, Nao." Both cousins shivered at the thought. "Okay I have it. Sorry again for not knocking. I'll let you get back to it." Mon was about to close the door but until she bid her farewells. "It's a pleasure seeing you, Shizuru Fujino!" She didn't wait for a response and left.

Flashback ends.

"Well, I guess we can do that."

Natsuki looked at her watch and gathered her thoughts and things and was about to head over to the board meeting but she turned to her partner as she stood in front of her. She leaned forward and gave Shizuru a morning kiss, just as she always has done since they started working together.

Thanks Shizuru." She whispered lovingly as she pressed their foreheads together.

"Anytime my Natsuki." She whispered back. And then they both left the office hand and hand until they had to go their separate ways in different directions, promising to meet for lunch.

Back to Diversity. Mon had been working away on her laptop with her headphones. She needed to listen to music on a high volume to drown out the negative thoughts that were forming in her mind, but no matter how loud the beats were going she still could hear the annoying voice that plagued her all night and wasn't able to get an ounce of sleep.

So the reason you took care of me was to get my approval.

She shook her head to make that last phrase from last night disappear. Mon had never had words bring her down before, but what Lady Boss had said was something she was not used to hearing. She never would have helped her boss out of pity. It was just something that anyone would have done. It's called being human. An act of kindness is something that everyone should be able to give. Whether they deserve it or not. She didn't want to have any more distractions while working on the project. She stared into her screen and was making minor adjustments on the VR demo, there were certain areas that needed to be worked on, especially the timing of the music that sometimes wouldn't match the timing of the image. Each part of the game had to be spot on whenever the music would hit its mark. Mon had not stopped working since she arrived at the company, she never got her morning coffee but settled for a Rockstar energy drink which had more caffeine in it then coffee. So she was on her second can and got through the first half of the demo but felt like something was missing but she couldn't figure out what.

The trio was observing their new coworker and noticed that something was wrong. Chen was about to go and make a comment but Yha had stopped her and flicked her forehead for being annoying.

"Something must've happened. I mean look at her…she looks like she hasn't slept at all last night." Yha said. "She even has black circles around her eyes."

"Do you think it's because Lady Boss didn't approve the Content ideas?" Chen asked.

"If that were the case, then Lady Boss might be on her way to kick Mon out." Noi said.

"Ahh man. We just had a welcoming party. Do we need a farewell party too?" Chen had added. All three didn't know how to approach Mon. So they decided to let her continue her work.

Mon took another gulp of her Rockstar and placed it down. The music for the images were falling into place. But the hard part was trying to adjust the image at the timing whenever two characters would collide with each other. So before she had to make a final finish, she needed to talk to the VR team once more so that she could be done with the demo. She removed her headphones, leaned back on her chair to stretch herself out and rubbed her eyes to adjust her sight. Just when she looked towards the crowd that had gathered outside, she spotted Sir Kirk, she noticed that he was holding a few bags that looked like goodies. Everyone was thrilled to know that they were getting small gifts from Sir Kirk. They really do appreciate his kindness and his sweet generosity. But for some reason Mon could see through all that. She still wasn't one to be around men, especially men from high ranking families. So, she placed her headphones back on, leaving one side open so that she could hear and continued her work.

"Sir Kirk, did you buy all these for us?" Noi asked with dreamy eyes.

He chuckled a little and answered. "Ah no. It was Sam that arranged all this."

The room became quiet. Everyone was so surprised that their Lady Boss even bothered to buy them small snacks and drinks.

"Ah please everyone, enjoy them. If not…you all know what will happen." Kirk leaned in and whispered his reasoning, but loud enough for Mon to hear.

Hmm, go ahead man. Freak them out badly so that everyone is scared of her even more. Surprise, surprise. Mon thought and shook her head.

Without a second thought, everyone dove into the bags and grabbed what they wanted. They were all excited about what was given to them, until Lady Boss burst out from her office.

"Did the snacks get delivered?" she asked but in a commanding tone. The office once again went silent. "I know that all of you have been working hard, so please consider this a reward."

The entire office had scattered to their stations and went back to work.

"I swear, her smile gives me the chills." Chen whispered on the side lines. So she took a few treats to her team and was about to leave until Yha stopped her. "What?" She whispered. Yha pointed to Lady Boss.

She picked up an individual bag and walked in the direction she was going. Which was to Mon's station.

Mon had been so focused on the screen that she failed to notice that someone was holding something in her sight. She never moved her face from the screen, her eyes were the only thing that moved. Mon observed the bag and then the occupant in front of her. Both women were giving off emotionless expressions. The brunette looked at the bag again and spoke.

"No thank you." It was all she said and went back to facing the screen.

A few people had heard what Mon had said and weren't expecting that kind of response. Lady Boss once again didn't show it, but she felt the hint of rejection.

"Are you saying you won't take what I have offered?"

"I'm saying I'm not interested in anything you offer." She stated while focusing on her laptop screen.

"Ahh Mon, why did you say that?" Noi asked.

Sam was raging. She was feeling all eyes on her and not exactly in a good way. She can also sense the feeling of her embarrassment building up and she needs to leave. Now.

"Fine. I'll take it to my office."

"Fine by me." She responded again. But this time she rose from her chair, grabbed her laptop. "Excuse me. I have a project to work on."

She announced while making eye contact with her boss. She strutted down to the VR room. Chen didn't know what to say but she was part of that group, so she grabbed her things and snacks and bolted in the same direction Mon was heading.

"Sam…?" Kirk came into the office.

Sam wasn't in the mood to deal with the man. He noticed her looking at the bag that was turned down, so he swooped in and gave her a boba tea. She took it without question but still remained quiet to her thoughts. Kirk wanted to lighten the mood and decided to make a joke.

"You know, that Mon is something else." He leaned on the table. "I mean, for her to turn down a gift from the Great Sam Hon. I've never seen that done before. Ha! I wonder if she's afraid of Death." He started to laugh out loud, but was silenced by a pastry to the mouth. He groaned as he furrowed his eyebrows.

"If you have nothing to say, don't open your mouth." Sam said. She continued to sip her drink.

Kirk thought about what to say next but he had to make sure he chose his words carefully.

"All joking aside. What did you do to make Mon so upset?" He announced. "Were you trying to make up for something?"

Sam thought back to last night

So the reason you took care of me was to get my approval.

If that's what you think. Then I shouldn't give a damn about you.

She came back from her thoughts and shook away the horrible feeling of doubt. Or maybe worse, guilt. Something that she never felt before until now.

"My opinion on her work was harsh."

"You know, I've noticed that you seem more interested in Mon more than others."

She rolled her eyes. "I already told you. I'm not going to repeat myself. Plus, Mon is very good at this. She keeps shooting me random ideas and content, especially sticking to her own ideas."

Kirk nodded in agreement. "You're right about that." He paused when moving close to Sam. "But I can't shake the feeling that she may be still mad at you over something else.

Sam sighs. She was never in this kind of situation. It was always easier for her to just brush off the problem and everyone would go back to normal. Emotional complications were never her strong suit. But this time, she was met with an opponent that wouldn't stand for it. Someone who was not afraid of her ways or how to approach the raven beauty with such confidence and stamina. Someone who can unconsciously voice out her opinion and is not afraid of the consequences.

Why is it with her…it's different?

"So, what do I do?" She asked Kirk.

"I'll be on my way in fifteen minutes. I still need to stop by and see mom." Mon said while talking into her earpiece. The person on the other line had asked out of concern and Mon just grinned. "No, it's nothing bad. It's just a large folder she sent me and now I'm sending it back. In person."

"Was it a list of potential partners?" A voice shouted from the background.

Mon stopped in her step and felt her face heating and now she has become a little irritated.

"Listen here, you blood sucking bedbug! I am not interested in having any potential partners. At least not anytime soon. And by the way, keep this up and you'll be attending the party this weekend, alone!"

"Oh I love when you talk dirty to me…do it again."

"Nao, knock it off, you're just making her more upset. Tsuna, we get it. Just make sure to call us when you're close."

"I will." Mon groaned and rolled her eyes out of annoyance.

"Mon!?"

Mon turned the corner and spotted Sir Kirk and Lady Sam heading in her direction. She looked confused but also not interested, especially since the Boss Lady wasn't showing any eye contact.

"Tsuna? Are you there? Who are you talking to? Natsuki asked.

"It's my bosses. They're coming towards me." she whispered.

"Ohh! So the hot boss is coming to fire you? Good! More for me." Nao shouted once more. Mon could hear something like a struggle on the other line but stopped when they heard Kirk speak.

"Are you on your way out?" Kirk asked. She nodded and turned her attention to the raven beauty. She wasn't exactly sure why they were talking to her, but she noticed that he was trying to get Sam to speak. It took a while but she finally spoke.

"I'm hungry."

"Huh?"

"I want to eat." Sam stated. Kirk shook his head and Mon looked a little confused. She wanted the man to explain what Sam was trying to say. But apparently he had no words. "It's late. And I'm hungry."

"Okay." Mon said, still feeling confused. "Well, enjoy your meal." She was about to walk away, until Kirk moved in front of her so she wouldn't leave.

"Ah, Mon, wait!" Kirk shouted in a panic once he placed his hands on her. Mon didn't like that. So she slapped his hands away and forced an icy glare at him like she wanted to turn him to stone.

"No disrespect Sir Kirk, but I don't like when people touch me. Especially men, I hardly know."

Mon was very upset. Kirk backed away a few feet and surrendered his movement. She could hear both Nao and Natsuki laughing in the earpiece and was picturing how the man they hadn't met looked. Afraid? Nervous? Petrified? Surprised? You name it, you might be right. Sam on the other hand was speechless. She had never seen Kirk so scared.

She's very sensitive. But why? Sam thought.

"I'm sorry Mon. I didn't mean to. But," Kirk paused and looked over to Sam and tried to urge her to help him. He wanted her to talk to her and make things right.

Sam was against it at first but he was able to get to her. So she walked over in her authoritative way. "Aren't you gonna eat?" She said, Kirk sighed and rolled his head.

Huh? The brunette thought and her companions in the other line said it out loud. Mon had forgotten that she was on the phone with them and decided to end the call.

"Hey Tsuna, what's going on?"

"I'll call you back." Mon said while staring at Sam and disconnected the call on her bluetooth. "Who are you talking to?" She asked while turning her head from side to side.

Let's see if she'll take the bait… Mon thought.

"There's no one else around. So who else could I be talking to?"

And there it is. Mon smirked.

From what Mon had learned, was that Sam would always answer a question with a question. That way she wouldn't let people know she was nervous or flustered.

Mon chuckled at this moment and tried to keep her cool, but once again the raven beauty wasn't making it easy. She knew that Sam wanted to talk to her but Mon was finding it amusing to see her boss struggle in her speech and tried to make sense of what she wanted to say.

"Okay. I don't have time for any of your cryptic words. I'm already late for something. So if you both excuse me, I have to go."

"Argh! Okay Mon, wait. Sam wants to invite you to have dinner with us." Kirk finally said.

She looked at Sam, again feeling confused. "Why?" She raised an eyebrow.

"To congratulate you on the approval." He mentioned.

"I'll wait in the car." Sam walked over to her vehicle leaving them behind.

Kirk laughed nervously. "It's just her way to try and make up with you."

"Oh! Well she's doing a terrible job at it." She said sarcastically. "She approved the Content idea?"

Kirk smiled and nodded his head. "She feels bad for saying mean things to you. She's not really good with words. Or emotions."

Could've fooled me. She thought.

Mon looked over to the raven beauty and noticed that she was reading something on her phone. Kirk followed her gaze and noticed that the brunette was staring at Sam.

"Look Mon, you obviously have other plans and I apologize for the late invite, but can you please do this favor for me?"

Mon still wasn't sure how she felt about Kirk. She never tried to get to know him or talk casually with him because she wasn't interested. But in the short time she has known him she was slowly accepting him, but she will still have her guard up and won't trust him for anything. Until then, she was hungry and had to call her dinner dates and say that she will have to cancel.

They finally arrived at the restaurant, Kirk and Sam had parked the car and saw Mon rolling up on her bike. It was the first time they had seen Mon riding her motorcycle, it wasn't exactly the kind of transport that they imagined her to drive. Once she dismounted her bike she gave the valet her keys and asked for them to be careful with her. The valet was a little confused that Mon had mentioned her bike as a she but then again, sometimes even men would pronounce their transports as a she. She removed her helmet and ran her fingers through her hair just to put it in place. Mon had noticed that Kirk and Sam were staring but with different reactions. She looked behind her confused.

"What are you both staring at?" Mon asked.

"Ah nothing Mon. Shall we go in." Kirk suggested.

"I still don't get why you didn't just ride with us." Sam said.

"I explained my reasoning. Was it not good enough for you?" Mon shot back with annoyance. Sam remained silent and walked into the restaurant.

Kirk sighed and tried to reason with Mon about Sam's attitude. "Please don't stress Mon. I know that being near Sam can be stressful. She does the same to me."

Understatement of the century. Mon thought and tried to not to roll her eyes out of respect for Kirk.

They walked in the restaurant and were escorted to a table of their choice. Mon had ordered for them and was hoping that it was to their liking. The waitress had arrived with their order and Mon thanked her for the service and gestured to the other two to enjoy their food. Sam wasn't sure about the food but it looked very elegant, but she didn't care at the moment because she was very hungry. Mon had noticed that the raven beauty reached for the variety of spices and started to add a ridiculous amount of spicy chili powder on her food.

"That's a lot of spice you added, Boss Lady."

"Why? Can't I eat spicy food?" she asked authoritatively.

"I just didn't expect you would add more to the dish. Which was already spicy on its own." Mon was being courteous and felt a little concern.

"I agree. I can already feel your stomach burning."

Sam ignored their voices and enjoyed the flavor of the food to sink in. Which must've been delightful because she was moaning with satisfaction. Mon had been stealing glances at the raven beauty a few times and couldn't help but grin.

"What's so funny?" She finally voiced out.

Mon shook her head. "Nothing." Sam was about to add more spice to Mon's dish but she stopped her. "No. It's already seasoned, I just have to add one thing to it." Just when she was about to grab what she wanted. Sam intercepted and did her the pleasure.

"You didn't have to. I was about to do it myself."

Sam just applied the lemon juice on Mon's dish and finished it off by licking her fingers clean of the juice. All three decided to eat their food in silence until Kirk came up with a curious question.

"Hey Mon." She answered with a hmm. "Why is this place called Samayoeru tamashī? {Wandering Spirit}"

"It's an interesting story. But I wouldn't wanna bother you with it." She said as she placed a piece of meat in her mouth.

"And why not?" Sam asked, feeling curious.

"Cause I don't wanna freak you out. You don't look like the type to handle certain stories." Mon couldn't help herself.

Especially scary ones. She thought while holding back a giggle.

Kirk could feel the aura between them and knew that they were about to get into an argument over something small so he broke the tension. "Ah Mon, please just explain to us the history behind the name. Please." Kirk was pleading. He didn't want this dinner to finish badly and have everyone go home unhappy, so Mon felt a little sympathy for the man and continued her explanation.

"Well, my mom told me the story about the Cholera Outbreak in the past. Apparently it was illegal to cremate dead bodies in the city area. So people with deceased family members had to bring their bodies to the temples around this area."

Sam and Kirk had been captured by the moral of the story while paying close attention to what Mon had to say. "They say that the wandering spirits pass through a gate called Torii once their bodies have been cremated. They usually come and go as they please now, but apparently they have only one rule…" Sam choked on her food. "Are you all good?"

Sam cleared her throat and tried to brush off her fright. She's starting to lose it. Mon thought.

"So, what was the rule?" Kirk asked, but also feeling anxious.

"The rule was…no possession. It breaks cosmic balance and it lets people know that actual wandering spirits are all around us." Mon waved her fingers in the air while doing an eerie ghost moaning.

Sam started to fidget. She glanced around without making it too obvious that she was searching for a lost soul lingering around her table. Mon and Kirk could tell that she was bothered and wanted to go a little farther with some humming and eerie sounds from Kirk.

"Argh! What the hell!?" Sam shouted.

Mon and Kirk couldn't help it. They bursted into laughter and caught the attention from the other patriots that thought they were crazy.

"I told you, you weren't able to handle it."

"I forgot to tell you Mon, Sam's afraid of ghosts."

Sam coughed as she was drinking her water.

"Ha! Really? That's very hard to believe." She said sarcastically.

The ghosts should be the ones afraid of her. Mon thought to herself.

Dinner had come to an end and they headed off to the parking lot. Mon retrieved her keys from the valet and mounted her bike. She was about to leave until she heard Kirk calling her. He looked a little nervous about what he was about to say to her.

"Ah, it is not my idea and I was 100% against it. But…Sam thinks that we should see you home." Kirk said. Feeling a little uncomfortable about the situation.

"Why?" She glanced at the raven beauty who averted her eyes away and looked back at Kirk. "It's not like I live far from here."

"Let's just say she's…worried."

Mon really didn't want her bosses to know where she lived let alone wanted them to follow her home. But even if she disagreed Sam would make Kirk follow her. So she finally made it home with the yellow car pulling up close behind her. She got off the bike as they got out of the car. Sam observed her surroundings and looked over the neighborhood and noticed that it looks rather simple but quiet.

"This is where you live?" Kirk asked.

"Yeah. My mom thought that having a place of my own would teach me some independence."

Kirk was impressed in the area. Even the house was a charming fact because it matched Mon's character. Sam posed near her car not bothering to acknowledge or interact with the conversation until she managed to pop an unexpected question.

"Does your house have ghosts?"

That caught them off guard and just exchanged glances. Mon shook her head to him and he gave away an apologetic smile.

"Because if there is…I wouldn't wanna come back." She said so bluntly without thinking. Kirk sighed again and wasn't sure what was wrong with his counterpart but he was about to speak until he heard Mon.

Mon giggled. "Well no one's forcing you to stay, Boss Lady. But be careful what you say. You wouldn't want to offend the wandering neighbors. Especially the one floating right behind you." She smirked.

Sam turned around like a twister. She gasped so loud that her voice was caught in her throat. It was like she had turned even paler than she was before. The raven beauty had turned left to right and found nothing behind her.

"Haha made you look!" Mon laughed.

And Kirk couldn't help himself and join her. Sam gave her best intimidating glare which frightened Kirk but never phased Mon. It was like she was unaffected.

"Well I had a great time. I'm not really used to hanging out with my bosses. Let alone you, Sir Kirk." Mon said. She shook his hand and bid them goodnight. "Boss Lady," Sam looked over at her. "Night." Simple as that and she walked through her gate and shut it closed.

Outside Sam became furious, "Seriously? That's all she had to say to me?" Sam wasn't exactly expecting a full on appreciation, but something similar to it would've been alright. Kirk covered his mouth to hide a small chuckle that was forcing its way out but was able to regain his composure.

"Well, in her defense, you weren't exactly hospitable during the whole dinner."

"I was being generous, not to mention a little civilized."

"Sam. You said you wanted to do this to apologize for what you did. Or said. But apparently she doesn't see it that way. You really need to make up with her, or this project will not succeed."

Sam sighed. She rubbed the side of her head because an oncoming migraine was approaching and she didn't feel like dealing with another headache. "Let's go." she demanded. Just as they were about to enter the car, they both looked back and saw a very attractive woman smiling affectionately and Mon had buried herself in the embrace of the woman as if she hadn't seen her for a long time. Which made the raven beauty very unsatisfied.

"Wow! Is Mon a lesbian? I seriously didn't see that coming. Haha. I guess that woman is her girlfriend maybe? She's got good taste. Don't you think Sam?"

"Let's go, now." She demanded once again and Kirk drove home.
