The next day, Luna had dressed up in her U.A. school uniform and ready to head back to the Height Alliance. She saw the news with Izuku, Aizawa, Tarot Chariot, and Recovery Girl.
"Dr. James Daku was arrested for the abduction and confinement of a young girl." The newscaster reported.
"Kai Chisaki, the young head of the formerly prominent yakuza group, was arrested for the abduction and confinement of a young girl." The newscaster added. "As police transport him, however, they were attacked by the League of Villains. During the incident, the Sand Hero, Snatch, who was assisting the escort, was killed."
Izuku and Luna stared at the TV screen with horror faces.
"There were also members of law enforcement who were injured. This attack on a villain in custody is an unprecedented failure. Officials have also confirmed..." The newscaster continued.
"This is the only thing they've reported on since yesterday." Recovery Girl said.
Izuku watched the news with guilt, which attracted Aizawa's attention.
"It isn't something you should feel responsible for." Aizawa said. "Please try not to blame yourself."
"Yeah, okay." Izuku said with a sad frown.
"Good news is, most everyone's headed back to class." Aizawa informed. "The doctors wanna monitor Togata a little bit longer, but Recovery Girl was able to completely heal the rest of the students involved in the raid, including one other student that was involved in the rescue mission to rescue that child Nico. They're gathering their things now."
"I'll stick around a little while longer and heal a few more patients since while I'm here." Recovery Girl said as she got up on her feet from her seat.
"I'll stay too. I want to be here for Eri whenever she wakes up." Izuku said.
"I'm afraid she's still too dangerous for that." Aizawa denied. "Right now, we need to trust that the doctors will help her."
"Yeah, I get that, but I was hoping I could…" Izuku said with a disappointed look on his face.
"She'll be fine." Aizawa assured.
"Hey, what about Nico?" Luna asked Tarot Chariot. "I wanna see her too before I leave."
"Just like Eri, he's too dangerous for now." Tarot Chariot explained. "Not only he'll be fine, but the Shatrix will be too in case you're wondering about them."
"Okay, then. I wanna see Togata before I leave though. I'll be right back. Please watch my stuff!" Izuku said.
"Yeah, me too." Luna said.
Izuku and Luna placed their backpacks and costume suitcases on the waiting seats before leaving to check on Mirio.
"Hold on. We're leaving soon." Aizawa said.
Izuku and Luna reached Mirio's hospital room.
"Are you in there? It's us, Midoriya and Luna." Izuku spoke.
As Izuku and Luna entered the room, they watched Mirio exercising on his bed.
"Heya, my main man!" Mirio greeted happily as he was spinning his legs with cheerful energy. "Oh, hello to you too, Luna!"
Izuku and Luna stared at Mirio's exercise in deep confusion.
Huh? Luna thought with a confuse eyebrow. For a guy who witness his master's death, he's surprisingly optimistic.
"You two must be heading back to campus, huh?" Mirio asked. "I hear I'm the only one who's gotta stay in the hospital. I don't get it. Like, come on, look how much energy I have. It's kinda lame, am I right?"
"Are you okay?" Izuku asked as he and Luna approached Mirio,
"Yeah, I know, I know." Mirio replied. "I lost my permeation. And my mentor just passed away. I should be full of mopes, right, not smiling so much. But that's the thing." He sat back up and crossed his legs. "Sir loved to laugh. I know he was super strict with you, but I got to see a different side of him, that always tried to find the humor in things. So, you see, I refuse to sit around crying. Because I gotta focus on becoming a fine hero one day. Know what I mean? Plus, if I've got a gloomy face on, it might make little Eri feel sad."
Izuku looked at Mirio with a sad look on his face. Luna took notice and started remembering what Nighteye told him when he challenged the UA student, telling him that All Might should've chose Mirio to inherit One For All instead of Izuku.
"You are amazing. You protected Eri the whole time. Even after your Quirk was taken away." Izuku said as he lowered his head down to stare at the floor. "But I couldn't do that. You kept that scared little girl safe all on your own, but I had to have help from her and Mr. Aizawa. If you had been the successor instead of me, then…Nighteye would be alive. And maybe All Might's future would be different." He lifted his head back up. "Togata! If I told you that there was some way, I could give you my Quirk, then, would you...?"
"Midoriya…" Luna said softly.
"Nah, I wouldn't want it." Mirio refused. "If that were really possible, and you could just hand your ability over to me, I would be causing you a bunch of trouble, wouldn't I? Not cool. I wouldn't want you to end up being bummed out. Right? I don't know why you talk like you did something wrong. You did a good job. You're a hero, Deku!"
Izuku closed his eyes with uncertainty as Luna comforted him.
"And besides, yesterday Eraser told me about Eri and how her power works." Mirio explained. "Later, as she gets older and trains, she may be able to use her Quirk properly. Then I'll try asking her if she can rewind me to when I still had Permeation."
"So, Mr. Aizawa believes Eri's Quirk is the key on getting your power back?" Luna asked with a surprise face.
"It's a possibility." Mirio replied. He then clenched his fist boldly. "Even if that doesn't work, I'm not gonna give up looking for ways to return to normal! I'll probably have to take some time off from classes at UA until my Quirk comes back. But don't worry about me, I'm gonna be just fine! After all, I have to believe Sir's prediction will come true." He teasingly knocked Midoriya's head with his fist. "So, do me a favor. Let's both keep smiling."
Mirio's bold words managed to brighten Izuku's spirit.
"Okay." Izuku responded with a smile.
"I promise I won't give up on UA. Because I'm the hero who'll save a million people." Mirio promised.
"Good." Luna said as she placed her hand on Izuku's shoulder with a smile. "We'll be waiting for you once you return."
Unknown to the three students, All Might and Tarot Chariot were listening quietly to their conservation outside of the door in the hallway.
Kirishima and Diana were about to exit through the automatic doors until they spotted Izuku and Luna standing outside.
"Midoriya! Luna!" Kirishima greeted. "Did you get all healed up?"
"Yeah. I'm all good now. Thank you." Izuku replied.
"So, how are you healing up, Diana?" Luna asked Diana.
"Recovery Girl managed to heal me since her violet aura was having a bit of trouble." Diana responded with a grin.
"Izuku Midoriya and Eijiro Kirishima?"
"Luna Yagi and Diana Asaka?"
Izuku, Luna, Diana, and Kirishima turned their heads to see one of the four police officers saluting at them.
"I'm sorry to bother you four right after your discharge." The police officer informed. "But we'd like you to come down to the station with us. We have some questions for you about the incidents."
"Yes, sir." Kirishima said.
"Anything you need." Izuku nodded.
"Sure." Luna and Diana said.
With that, the four UA students walked into the police cars to head to the police station, making their return to the dorms delay even further.
Meanwhile, Shoto, Aisha, and Katsuki carried on their provisional license training course as usual.
"It's time, Bakugo." Shoto said.
"Shut up. I'm coming." Katsuki snapped.
"We can't be late getting to the training course." Shoto reminded.
"I know." Katsuki said with irritation in his voice. "And don't walk in front of me!"
"My head can't take much more of this bullshit." Aisha muttered.
Izuku, Luna, Diana, and Kirishima arrived in front of the Heights Alliance. Due to their time answering the police's question involving the Shie Hassaikai raid and Carina's goals, they didn't get the chance to head back to the dorm before the sun had gone down. They then took a few steps further towards the door.
"Deku! Kirishima! Luna! Diana!"
Kirishima, Diana, Luna, and Izuku turned around to see Uraraka and Tsuyu walking towards them.
"Uraraka! Tsu!" Kirishima greeted.
"Oh, wow, are you two girls just getting back to the dorms now, too?" Izuku asked.
"Yup!" Uraraka answered.
"There were a lot of last-minute forms to fill out at Ryukyu's office." Tsuyu stated.
"We did that, too." Kirishima said as he rubbed his hand at the back of his head.
Kirishima, Izuku, Luna, Diana, Uraraka, and Tsuyu then directed their heads to the Height Alliance building.
"You know what's weird?" Diana asked. "It feels like we haven't been back here in a long time."
"You got that right." Luna concurred.
"Well? Let's go." Kirishima said.
Izuku, Luna, Kirishima, Diana, Uraraka, and Tsuyu headed to the entrance doors as they stepped into the lounge room, where all of their classmates were sitting in silence until Mineta noticed their presence and began approached them.
"Oh, there you guys are!" Mineta said as he and the rest of Class 1-A approached them. "It's about time you showed up!"
"All of us were worried about you." Yaoyorozu said.
"Yeah, we saw the news." Kaminari said.
"It looked terrifying!" Mina exclaimed.
"Is anyone hurt?" Sero asked.
"What troublemakers." Mineta added.
"Tell us anything!" Aoyama cried.
"I made this for you." Sato said as he held a plate of homemade cake in his hands. "It's a double chocolate cake."
"First Kamino and now the yakuza." Kaminari exclaimed at Izuku and Kirishima. "You guys are always getting into such dangerous situations. Do you know how much that scares us?"
"Yeah, we're so sorry." Izuku apologized.
"I'm just glad they're okay." Sero said to Jiro.
"I mean, I dunno. Are they? How can we be sure?" Jiro questioned.
"We also saw the news about you two getting involved with Carina." Selene said.
"It must've taken a lot of gut and power to defeat that monster." Aisha grinned.
"Trust me. You don't know the half of it." Luna grinned back.
"Ochaco! Tsu! Thank goodness you're both okay!" Hagakure cried as she hugged Tsuyu and Uraraka tighly.
"That's a little tight." Uraraka said.
"Ribbit." Tsuyu said.
The sound of her vibrating phone caught Aisha's attention, making her reach into her pocket and taking out her phone to stare at the caller ID.
"Sorry, it's my dad." Aisha said. "I'd better take this."
Aisha walked away to the kitchen.
"Enough of this." Iida spoke up. "I know everyone was worried, but calm down! We all saw news coverage. Our classmates have been through an ordeal. If you want to help, you should console them quietly and let them rest their bodies and their minds. Because I'm sure today wasn't just taxing just physically, but mentally as well!"
"Hey, um, Iida. Thanks for that." Izuku said with a reassuring smile. "But really. This is okay."
"Then…If I may. Do you have any idea how worried I was for all of you?! It was awful! What if you'd never returned?!" Iida yelled as he shook Izuku back and forth frantically.
"Take your own advice and chill out!" Sero advised.
"I'll go make some lavender tea." Yaoyorozu said. She ran herself into the kitchen. "One moment. It's sure to ease your minds."
"At least have a little bit of your cake." Sato said as he began shoving his homemade cake into Izuku's mouth.
"Hey, Sato, chill." Diana said. "Don't force him to eat the whole thing. And besides, I want some too."
"Ugh, why the heck didn't you tell us what was going on, man?" Sero asked Kirishima as he paid no attention to his friend's spiky hair strand poking his eye. "We were totally blindsided by this."
"Sorry." Kirishima apologized. "We were sworn to secrecy."
"Hey, so…I'm glad you're okay too." Mina said as she was holding Koda's pet bunny.
"Yeah. Getting there anyway." Kirishima assured.
"Right. Got it." Mina said.
"Oh, what a cutie." Uraraka said with a smile as she approached Mina.
"Oh, it's Koda's bunny." Mina said. "Do you guys wanna hold it for a little while?"
"Ribbit." Tsuyu said.
"Ooh, me next!" Hagakure said.
"Adorable!" Uraraka said.
Katsuki sat alone on the couch while directing his calm face to Luna until Kaminari started to approach him.
"Yo, Kacchan. What're you over here sulking for?" Kaminari teased. "Admit it, you're out here cause you were worried, am I right? Aw, let those feelings out, why don't ya?" He then whispered close to Katsuki's ear. "Especially if those feelings involve Luna."
Katsuki slightly jolted with deep red cheeks, but he immediately shook it off.
"Time for bed." Katsuki said.
Katsuki got up on his feet that made Kaminari fell on the couch and then began walking away.
"What? Seriously? But it's so early." Kaminari said.
"Unlike the rest of you nerds, I've got stuff to do." Katsuki said.
As Katsuki stomped his way into his dorm room, Shoto came back from outside and Aisha walked into the main room with their phones out in their hands.
"Hey, you guys." Shoto informed. "I'm glad you're all back and everyone's safe, but I gotta get to bed."
"Yeah, same here." Aisha said.
"Huh? Since when am I surrounded by geezers?" Kaminari whined.
"I understand Bakugo, but Todoroki and Aisha want to leave the party this early, too?" Tsuyu said, handing the bunny to Koda's hands.
"They've got their provisional license training course tomorrow." Jiro stated. "But still, it is pretty early."
Later that night, Katsuki was wide awake on his bed staring at the ceiling as Shoto stared at his phone with irritation while Aisha stared at her phone with a smile on her face. Since they have already started their remedial courses, they are determined to work hard to receive their licenses, so they can keep up with their classmates.
Luna instantly turned off all the lights inside her room and threw herself on top of her bed before staring at the ceiling while falling deep in thought. Diana sat on her bed and pulled her knees close to her chest as her holograms comforted her. From meeting Nico to the conference room to fight and defeat Carina to Nighteye's death at the hospital was all for Luna to take in since Diana was knocked in mid-battle and healed up at the hospital.
Luna closed her eyes peacefully and drifted off to a peaceful sleep.
The next day, Shoto, Aisha, and Katsuki began walking their way out of the Height Alliance for another provisional license training course.
"Walk behind me, dammit!" Katsuki barked irritatedly.
"Poor Mr. Aizawa." Shoto said to Aisha. "I feel bad making him train us after everything he just went through."
"I'm not gonna make small talk with you and your girlfriend, Icy Hot." Katsuki snarled.
"You know, you should…" Aisha said with narrow eyes.
Shoto, Aisha, and Katsuki halted when their teachers All Might and Present Mic were already waiting for them.
"You're late! Ya bad boys and girl!" Present Mic said.
"Present Mic. All Might. Why're you here?" Shoto asked.
"We'll be taking you to training today." All Might replied.
"Eraser's gonna be playing hookee thanks to all the yakuza chart-toppers who were taken down yesterday." Present Mic explained as he began poking his finger at the irritating Katsuki's forehead repeatedly.
"Oh, is he injured worse than we thought?" Shoto asked.
"Nah. Apparently, they needed his power to help with the girl they rescued." Present Mic responded. "Don't worry, I'm all over this. Consider me your new bodyguard!"
"Oh, joy." Aisha said sarcastically.
"We're taking extra precautions due to the League's activity." All Might added.
All Might looked down with a hard stare on his face, which caught Aisha's attention as she knows that something's troubling him.
"Right. Let's go." All Might said. "Yesterday was an easy classroom lecture for you, but I hear today's training will be far tougher."
Present Mic then placed his arm around Katsuki's left shoulder, which only irritated the UA student even more.
"Let's get this party stared, so you can get your licenses already, mah brothers and sister!" Present Mic said.
Katsuki growled in annoyance.
"We don't wanna be late." All Might reminded. "Come on. Climb in."
All Might and Present Mic walked forward towards the bus as Shoto, Aisha, and Katsuki followed them from behind.
Honestly, I wasn't expecting All Might to join us for our next training course. Aisha thought.
After a while, the UA students and their teachers had arrived to their destination.
"We'll be watching you from the stands." All Might said to his students.
"Do your best! Yeah!" Present Mic cheered.
All Might, Present Mic, Vongergeist, and Amazonite walked through the hallway.
"Oh. If it isn't the former number one hero."
All Might, Present Mic, Vongergeist, and Amazonite unexpectedly encountered a furious looking Endeavor, who was looking down at them from the top of the stairs.
"Thanks for babysitting Shoto. You're so useful." Endeavor commented wryly.
"Endeavor." All Might murmured.
"This is perfect." Endeavor continued. "I've been wanting to sit down and have a chat with you man-to-man for a while."
Amazonite and Vondergeist glared mildly at Endeavor's arrival while Present Mic noticed the awkward tension between All Might and Endeavor.
"I'm gonna go find some coffee. Deuces!" Present Mic exclaimed.
With that, Present Mic escaped the awkward tension in a hurry.
Meanwhile, three UA students headed to the supplementary classroom.
Aisha recalled her father telling her good news that he and his wife are having some free time to come watch her training tomorrow. But he also told her that her older half-sister Ophelia is coming over to visit from her trip to France.
It's been a long time since the last time I saw Ophelia. Aisha thought. But too bad she won't be here to watch me during this course. Let's just hope I won't have to run into that whirlwind moron again.
"Oh!"
Aisha snapped out of her thought and looked up to see Inasa and Celia walking towards her, Shoto, and Katsuki.
"Hey! It's UA!" Inasa greeted with a wave.
Spoke too soon. Aisha groaned.
"Ooh! Who's this smoldery-looking two-toned boy?"
Shoto, Aisha, and Katsuki moved their eyes directly at a female Shiketsu student. She has a curvaceous figure with straight fawn-colored hair that reaches just below her shoulders, large dark brown eyes, and plump, glossy lips. She was wearing her Shiketsu uniform.
"You're, like, super hot." The female Shiketsu student smiled. "I'm crazy psyched to train with a total babe like you."
"Camie." Inasa said.
"Hey, Yoarashi." Camie greeted as she walked up to Shoto with her phone out in her hand. "Do you know him or something? Seriously, can I like have your number?"
"Uh, sure." Shoto replied.
"Camie, your social skills are top-notch!" Inasa exclaimed. "I'm so impressed!"
"You must be Luna's friend. I'm Celia. Nice to meet you." Celia greeted.
"Yeah, you too." Aisha greeted back.
"Hey, baldy. This girl didn't train with us before, did she?" Katsuki asked Inasa.
"Correct! She wasn't here." Inasa responded. He took off his hat to reveal his hair. "Oh, and I'm not bald, see!"
"Camie, this is beneath you!" Shishikura scolded. He stood next to Inasa completely out of nowhere. "As a Shiketsu student, you mustn't fraternize with such failures."
"Hold on! You failed the first test we took, loser!" Katsuki reminded.
"I received permission to observe, so I'm here to judge you!" Shishikura chided.
"Stupid Meat, you're dead!" Katsuki barked.
"The name's Seiji Shishikura!" Shishikura rebuked.
"Wait, you're Endeavor's son." Camie said to Shoto. She then turned to Aisha. "And you're Vondergeist and Amazonite's daughter. You're hero royalty on top of being a snack? That's so totally amazing!"
"Look at that! She's just so bold." Inasa beamed.
"Get away from them!" Shishikura demanded.
Okay, this is gonna be fun. Aisha and Celia remarked cynically.
Enjoy and review.
