Sailor Moon was originally created by Naoko Takeuchi, while Golden Hawk was created by me, although his secret identity was created by Jerry and Sharon Logue. This series takes place in a real place, Orange County, California, during the 1980s. While I strive to make this series as accurate as possible, I have made some changes for artistic purposes.

Meet Serena Campbell, a typical all-American girl. Blonde hair, blue eyes, a little on the short side. She's very pretty, even though she sometimes thinks her nose is a little small for her face, and she sometimes wishes she was a couple inches taller. She has family and friends, people who love her, and people she loves. She sort of somewhat had a boyfriend, well, he's a boy, and he's her friend. And now, he's her boyfriend for real. For Serena, Jerry Logue, and Lissa King, it's the first day of their junior year. For Amy Anderson, it's the first day of her sophomore year. For Rae Hinkley, it's her first day in public school, after a lifetime in Catholic schools. And for Mina Nani, it's her first day of her first year of school on the Mainland.

CHAPTER 11: BACK TO SCHOOL

EL DORADO HIGH SCHOOL, PLACENTIA, CALIFORNIA

SEPTEMBER 8, 1986

7:30 AM

"Look at the bright side," Serena Campbell said, as she parked Peggy Sue, her pink 1959 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz convertible, in a spot in the student parking lot, the spot next to where Jerry Logue had parked the Flying Dutchman, his red 1966 Ford Mustang convertible.

"What's the bright side?" Jerry asked.

"After today," Serena said, "we only have one more first day of school left."

"And you know what I'm going to do next year on the first day of school?" Jerry asked.

"What's that?" Lissa King asked, as she joined Serena and Jerry.

"I'm gonna walk onto campus like I own the fucking place," Jerry said.

"Ha ha ha," Lissa said, semi-sarcastically. "Anyways, let's go get our finalized schedules."

"Yeah," Jerry said. "It's bad form to be late the first day of school. Especially when you're an upperclassman, you need to set a good example for freshmen."

"Since when have you been all that concerned about setting a good example for younger kids?" Serena asked.

"Since I became a superhero," Jerry said.

"Just be glad you don't have a zero period class," Serena said.

"Tell me about it," Jerry said. "However, there's only a few zero period classes, and half of them are PE classes, and half of them are for athletes whose sports are out of season."

Jerry, Serena, and Lissa entered the campus, and went to get their final schedules for the semester, where they met up with Rae Hinkley, Mina Nani, Chris Forney, and Molly Baker. They compared schedules, and found that there wasn't any classes the 7 of them had together, although Serena did have at least one class with each of them. Soon, they all went to their first period classes. Serena had trigonometry, Rae, Molly, and Jerry had art, Mina and Lissa had PE, and Chris had physics. Serena had trigonometry, biology, history, English, PE, and Spanish. Jerry had art, PE, history, English, physics, and office aide. Rae had art, history, PE, algebra II, English, and biology. Mina had PE, biology, Spanish, english, history, and art. And Lissa had PE, biology, history, English, algebra II, and French. They also met up with Amy Anderson, who was a sophomore, while everyone else was a junior. Her schedule was art, French, biology, geometry, English, and JV cheer.

"Hey Serena, how was your summer?" Paula Stonewood, a friend of Serena's, said in her first period class.

"Not bad," Serena said. 'I don't know if you heard yet, but Jerry and I are officially dating."

"About time," Paula said.

"Yeah," Serena said. "He and I also spent a good part of the summer at Cavern Records."

"What were you doing there?" Paula asked.

"Making $3.50 an hour," Serena said. "I turned 16 over the summer, and got a perfect score on my driver's test. And the best part, I got a pink Cadillac for my birthday."

That Friday, partway through sixth period, as Jerry was out collecting the attendance sheets for all the classes in session, he made eye contact with Amy. As he did, he subtly pointed at his watch, and mouthed out "meow". Amy knew what he meant by that. "I just got contacted by Bad Luck Charm," Jerry said, projecting his image and voice directly to the minds of Serena Campbell, Amy Anderson, Rae Hinkley, Lissa King, and Mina Nani, and referring to Luna, her codename coming from the fact black cats are considered bad luck. "She said she wants you girls to keep on those pretty pedicured toes of yours, she said Morrigan and Draevyn are possibly rearing their ugly heads as we speak."

"Got it," Serena said.
