Rosie and Sarah-Alice moved away from Jasper and Eleanor, as they most certainly did not want to climb another tree that day, Rosie wrapping her arms protectively around Sarah-Alice.

"Just me and you then, bodyguard" Eleanor said to Jasper, looking him square in the eye.

"Bring it on, Princess"

The four of them moved towards the entrance of the last obstacle. Rosie and Sarah-Alice were looking at the course, Rosie to see how closely they could watch Jasper and Eleanor.

"I am going first this time." Eleanor announced, attaching her harness to the safety line.

"Means I get to enjoy the view this time." Jasper joked quietly so that only Eleanor, and maybe Rosie could hear, as he attached his harness after her. He raised his voice:

"Princess, I am obligated to give you a safety talk. You have no security out front, so if you don't feel comfortable, I need you to stop. If you can get back to me, get back to me. If you can't shout for Rosie who is covering you from the ground as well as taking care of Sarah-Alice. I also do not want you setting off on an obstacle until I am on the platform with you and the platform in front of you is clear."

Eleanor stopped on the steps, turned around and stared down at Jasper.

"And what if I don't?"

"Then anything like this will be prohibited in future without a full security team?"

Eleanor rolled her eyes, and recommenced the climb up the stairs. Once she reached the top and out onto the platform, she dared herself to look down...

... and was instantly overcome with fear.

Jasper appeared by her side.

"You ok?" he asked her

Eleanor took a deep breath and nodded.

"If I don't look down."

"When you're ready."

Eleanor looked at the first obstacle. It was planks at wood laid at a 45 degree angle to each other, forming a suspended staircase. She lifted her foot to climb the first one, and realised how long it would take her, as each 'step' was knee high. They were also spaced so that she would have to walk down each plank before she would be able to climb up to the next. She could feel the tension in the wires and she knew that Jasper was right behind her.

She made it to the next platform and waited. The next obstacle was to boulder* a cargo net. a net which moved with every movement she made. She was glad Jasper had waited on the platform, as his added weight would have moved it worse than it was, at least, until she managed to cross both her arms and legs and froze, tangled in the net, not knowing what to do.

A quick shout to Jasper, and he joined her at the net. It took Eleanor everything she had not to fall off.

He looped one hand and foot in the net, swinging his other foot around Eleanor. From here, he took her hand and guided it to where it needed to be, then he took hold of the net and verbally told her how to sort her feet out. Once she was untangled from the net, Jasper removed his leading hand and foot, allowing Eleanor to continue on her way, remaining on the net until she made it to the platform.

As he landed on the platform next to her, she burst into laughter.

The people behind Jasper had been the ones behind them throughout, knew it was Eleanor and between them and Rosie, agreed to keep some space. He could see them waiting on the platform behind them, and he tried to move Eleanor on, but she was laughing too much.

Once she had composed herself, she shuffled around the platform and came face to face with a series of three tubes. Each tube became smaller than the last. Eleanor eyed up the last tube, and then at Jasper. It was going to be a tight fit for him.

She glided through the first tube, and when she hit the second, Jasper set off. He also cleared the first tube with ease, and when Eleanor cleared the second and was in the third, he set off through the second. He had enough room to move, but kept bashing his elbows on the sides. when Eleanor hit the platform, Jasper eyed up the opening of the third. He would make it through it, but his arms would need to be out in front of him. Cursing, he put his arms in front of him and slid into the final tube. he found he could move forward if he used his palms to pull and his toes to push, but because of his harness, he kept sticking. He then realised that, going the way he was, he would not be able to get out of the tunnel, so he turned on his back to relieve the bulk of the harness. He then used his feet only to propel him through the tunnel. Once at the end of it, he reached out, grabbed the top of the tunnel and hauled his upper body up, which allowed his legs to drop to the platform. Eleanor was laughing again. Jasper just shook his head.

Eleanor let him get his bearings before she set off on the next obstacle, which simply consisted of two ropes. One to walk across and one to hold.

The two of them made quick work of the obstacle before encountering the next, which was a seated Tarzan swing into a cargo net. Jasper had seen people attempting this, and knew, if you did not catch hold of the net on the first swing, you would be suspended in mid air for a while. Before he let Eleanor go, he wanted to make sure that there was a way to give her additional momentum, and he found it in a trail rope. Which meant that if Eleanor missed the net, he could pull her back up to try again. She looked over the edge of the platform, having got used to the height, and saw Sarah-Alice looking up at her while Rosie was keeping an eye on their surroundings. Eleanor waved at her and looked back at the obstacle. She sat on the swing and jumped, squealing as her trajectory went straight down, before swinging out. As she hit the cargo net, she felt the air escape her lungs and in that moment, her grip on the net failed, and she started falling away from the net.

Jasper, seeing Eleanor lose her grip, was ready and waiting by the pulley. When her momentum stopped, Jasper pulled her up far enough that Eleanor hit the net with less speed than the previous time.

Carefully, so she didn't get tangled again, Eleanor climbed the net to the platform. When she was safely on it, Jasper set off on the swing, catching the net securely the first time and quickly scaling the cargo net.

The last obstacle they faced was a simple plank walkway, which they both crossed with ease, landing on the last platform where the zip line was. Eleanor was stood on the edge of the platform, and having just jumped off a platform, she was slightly shaken and scared to do it again. It did not matter what Jasper said to her, she did not want to jump off.

The staff member manning the final zipline confirmed that it was the only way down, but also confirmed that he was not allowed to push people. Jasper moved so he could see the people who were queuing for them to go. He stepped to the side, tucked his elbows in and thrust his hip out.

*bouldering - for those who do not know is climbing, but instead of gaining height, you transverse a wall horizontally!
