Chapter 228: Christopher Katchem

After getting a quick snack and drink, the Technodrome faculty continue the meeting with the last topic. Hisashi then explains that the rules will be very strict but understanding and fair, causing everyone to listen as he goes over the rules and guidelines. The students need to take seven subjects while staying on campus. The subjects are math, reading, language arts, enrichment, (which includes gym, art, and theater) history, science, and finally, careers (which is every department in the school focusing on their department goals). In between language arts and enrichment, everyone will go to the cafeteria for lunch Any student who took and pass 10 subjects in a total will obtain scholarships and become special students. The evaluation method consists of theoretical and practical exams, being evaluated by notes ranging from A+ as the highest, to D- as the lowest. Just like U.A. Academy and Heights Alliance Academy, courses will begin after Labor Day in September and ends on June 18th while having four quarters and four seasonal breaks. Students must get up 7:00 am to take bath, brush their teeth, put on their new school uniform, and have breakfast in the dorm lobby so they can get to their homerooms before 8:00. When classes end at 2:40 pm, students will have the option to either go to clubs (which will end 6:00 pm) or do whatever they like on campus. However, they must be in bed by 10:00 pm. Expectations of students will be high, and they will be watched 24/7 by the staff to make sure they are doing what they are expected to do. After everyone (especially the Peanut Gallery) gives Hisashi a look, he finishes the meeting with the rules that the students must follow, which are: no fighting, only do experiments in the lab, do not leave campus without permission, do not steal, do not eat during classes or exams, refrain from doing anything that will tarnish your famous family name, and finally, do not go into an off-limits area on campus. After wrapping it up with how many exams the students will take and how they will play out, everyone cheers and set off to prepare for the first day of school.

The next day, somewhere near Izu and his mother's old home, in Tatooine avenue, a boy named Christopher Katchem woke up to brush his teeth before quickly rushing downstair to have breakfast because he just got his quirk yesterday, which gives him enough confidence to have an opportunity to become just like his idol Kouna Midoriya. Christopher is fifteen years old, and he was just a quirkless boy throughout his whole life. When Chris was four years old, he's been hearing about Kouna's determination to be just like her twin brother Hisashi despite her incompetence in everything she does. Chris then admired Kouna even more after watching her on tv at the Harmony Island Sport Festival when she finally beat Hisashi during the third round. Despite his everyday training and workout at the gym, he couldn't get extremely strong just like Kouna herself. After Kouna and Hisashi went off to Braveworks Academy, Chris has been studying about being a pro hero just like Hisashi before trying to save people in his area. However, he almost got himself killed and got scolded by everyone before getting grounded for two months. After his parents free him from being grounded, Chris became depressed because he believed that he will never be like Kouna Midoriya (also known as Once-ler).

Yesterday, after watching the grand opening of the prestigious school line multiple times, Chris went out for a walk until he discovered a trail of green liquid that led him to area filled with toxic waste. Suddenly a bee scared Chris and made him fell into the toxic waste, which caused him to quickly get out and made a group of cars float into the air until he noticed them. Chris then smiled and quickly went home to tell his parents that he wants to enroll into Technodrome Academy, causing them to become amaze and praise him for being confident before reminding him that he's quirkless. After Christopher revealed his newfound quirk to his parents, he began training until it's time to go to bed. The next day, after eating breakfast, Christopher took his bike to get to Technodrome Academy to participate in the entrance exam. just as Chris reach the academy entrance, he became nervous and tries to walk but tripped on himself. Fortunately, a Texas girl ran to him and uses her lasso quirk to catch him much to his amazement.
