Hagrid deserves Azkaban. The Spiders only behaved for Agragog ,without him they turned on the students and killed several during the Last Battle. The Dragon was like bringing a cobra to a daycare and letting it loose. He bred terrible monsters together and they were a threat to the students... He deserved Azkaban. He was worthless and incompetent and a danger to all.
Severus Snape hated Cassius Campbell and Longbottom more than he had Harry Potter. That they were successfully standing up to him, severing his power and forcing even Albus to toe the line was... he hated it, he hated feeling helpless. The cheers of the others disgusted him, he did not deserve anything but extreme respect. He would get back at them, he had no idea how but he would.
But not yet, as he knew any slip up could put him in Azkaban... no, his revenge must be swift, silent and perfectly cast.
He would have his revenge, and the boys would suffer...

Albus hated conflict, but he knew full well that it was inevitable. He had been covering up countless complaints against Severus for his entire tenure as professor, however Neville Longbottom and Cassius Campbell's particular brand of rage was something he had never seen before. They went public with their complaints, cutting him off at the knees, neither trusting him or his people. They went to Augusta who was a potent witch with powerful connections and an even stronger mind. He stood no chance altering her memories, even with the Death Wand.
No, the best he could do was to pick up the pieces and make the best out of the situation...
Whatever that looked like for this day.
"Bee in your bonnet, Headmaster?" The Sorting Hat popped up, looking at him with mischief.
"All it well, Allistair.
"Oh, but is it? You have been pacing for a good twenty minutes. What ails you?"
Albus sighed. "I have no idea how to handle this issue with the Longbottoms, Mr. Campbell and Severus."
"Have you ever considered that maybe Severus is the issue, this would be nearly the four hundredth complaint against him and his lack of professionalism."
Albus cringed, hating that reminder. "I, he is needed for the greater good."
"Funny how it's only you that gets to determine that."

A few weeks later
Neville twisted his wand, jabbing it at Cassius, who deflected the tickling curse with a lightning fast Protego. Again and again this went on for over twenty minutes, until their magical reserves were low and they had to stop to rest. Neither won, but too equal to reach that point, their spells too weak to really do much. Still, they both felt they that they got a great workout in.
Soon enough they left the room, planning to revisit a few more spells the next day.
Cassius made it to his dorm, and fell fast asleep. Only to wake up around one, panic his chest. Rushing to follow it, the magnetic pull in his soul, he found him way out of the dorm and toward McGongagall's study on the First Floor.
She was dragging Neville, who looked utterly enraged, and that awful Filch was was dragging Hermione and Harry toward each other.
Cassius all but grew five feet taller in rage as he heard the Professor say. ""I think I've got a good idea of what's been going on," said Professor McGonagall. "It doesn't take a genius to work it out. You fed Draco Malfoy some cock-and-bull story about a dragon, trying to get him out of bed and into trouble. I've already caught him. I suppose you think it's funny that Longbottom here heard the story and believed it, too?"
Neville saw Cassius, and yanked his arm so hard away from McGonagall that she flew forward. He shoved her into the wall. "Touch me again and I will have you put in Akzaban you useless harpy. Funny how you never show this level of concern when actual assaults are happening!" She growled but before she could speak, Neville put a wand to his temple and extracted a memory. "This is from right after Cassius and I separated. I could easily take the memory from Harry and Hermione. We all know Hagrid is dumb enough to bring a Dragon onto campus."
Cassius nodded, though he barely knew Hagrid, but the raw rumors he had heard...
Neville was on a mission though. "Have you even considered doing an investigation, or doing your freaking job?" McGongagall gaped. "No, I doubt you did, you were likely just going to take a crap ton of points, detention and shaming us publically since you are that incompetent. I will be speaking to my Gran and she will be showing you the memories." he turned to The awful Scottish Professor with so much hate she actually stepped back. " If you so much as think about laying your hands on anyone, ever, it will be the last time you have hands. You have no right to even think of touching us."
There was a long silence, and Harry oddly said. "Hagrid is not dumb."
Neville stared at Harry. "Did he bring a dragon or not?" There was magic laced in his tone, not enough to force out angswers, but it was intimidating.
Harry, shivering, could not help but say. "Well, yes, but-"
"Is Ron's hand wound not from a dragon bite?"
"Yes but-"
"Is Hagrid's hut not made of wood? Are there not literal children here?" Harry just glared. "Than Harry, Hagrid is a moron and so are you for helping him. He is the one that deserves punishment. He will get it, or I will be sharing my memories with the Board of Govenors and or worse, the Ministry. Hagrid deserves Azkaban for his endangering others."
Even Filch was gaping, and Cassius felt pride. He pulled back, into the shadows and walked back to his dorm, undetected by all but Neville... filled with so much pride it hurt.
He would have to congratulate Neville later.

Chapter end, tell me what you think in the reviews.
This was fun, powerful and interesting. Why do we never see the students protect themselves from the awful teachers at Hogwarts.
Love, your Ninja Overlord,
Mika.
