Miitopian Civil War
Chapter 8: Otherworld Insurrection
Date: Valentine's Day 2023
"I'm back from a little involuntary trip to another universe. Could I get another glass of water?" The bartender at the Travelers' Hub tavern looks at me in shock: "What in the?! You shouldn't be here! Officers and bounty hunters are here! So you were that customer earlier! Get out of here before they see you! I can't offer you much help because my hands are tied. I have to obey those tyrants so they don't shut down this tavern and public execute me. The movement against them in the Travelers' Hub is centered here so it's been difficult to do much of anything. I can't tell you anymore. They're turning our way!" A bunch of men stand up and pull out their guns: "Too late for that. Damn it. If I hadn't left that brown cloak behind. Bastards are going to get it now." "Listen here, patrons of this bar! Don't interfere in state business or we will send you away to Correction Camps!" The tavern goes quiet. "Very good! I'm the commander of these officers. You there! You are wanted alive by our supreme leader! Come quietly and things won't get ugly! You have a lot to answer for, society destroying anarchist!" "I studied Sociology and because of it, I'm not aiming to make the entire social system collapse. I'm working to help replace it and destroy those who are behind its continuation. I'm not going anywhere with Nazi state thugs like you. I don't recognize your control over the Travelers' Hub and I'm no citizen of any Miitopian country anymore. You can't tell me what to do. Let's play. I'll make you hurt." "So you're as uncooperative and dangerous as the files say. Good, we get extra pay for beating a target into submission! Alright men, ready, aim, fire!" Patrons start fleeing as the fight begins. However, I let the bullets just hit me spot on: "Is that all you can do? I would be disappointed but I can't complain. After all, I'm trying to help liberate Miitopia from fascism and live my damn life. Prepare for a beat down."
I let them keep firing at me and look behind me to see resistance members: "Comrades, let me handle them. I can take them by myself." They nod but then, a purple laser beam is shot out by the Nazi commander at me. I dodge as do the others. A rather large hole of destruction begins behind us. As a result, a path of destruction we can clearly see happens. "Oh so you've finally learned from your failures at Galados. This is a problem. However, I will still take you on by myself." I run towards the commander and stab him right through the heart with my sword before anyone can react. He drops dead before me. I pick up the gun he was using: "Hmm. This is interesting and extremely dangerous. We might have to start disintegrating you Nazis with our very own laser weapons soon. Now, do you still want to fight me with your commander dead at my feet? If you surrender right now, I'll allow you to live. But, I will have to turn you into cards for safe measure." I put away the gun I took and watch as only 2 of the 15 Nazi officers surrender. They're clearly a typical police force: cruel, violent, fascist, and so on. Nothing new to me. Those 2 I card. "Now that you see I can do that, do you really really want to keep fighting me? If so, you'll regret it. I promise you. *They keep firing at me* You have chosen violence. Wrong choice for you have also chosen pain. Pain is a powerful tool and sensation. Pain is part of my philosophy. Naturally, that's very bad news for you." I effortlessly cut through their guns and the hands holding them. "Give up now or I might just kill you on the spot. But I want to give you a chance to live as better people. Since there's no one else who wants to fight me, I have the time to give you that chance so listen to me."
They don't listen and their sadistic looks make things that much more clear. Even though my left eye is firmly shut, I still keep fighting as if that weren't the case. After all, when one eye is closed, the other keeps providing the majority of the normal view I have when both eyes are open. Sure, a blind spot is made but it's nothing I can't handle after everything that has happened. "If you won't listen to compassion or reason and have such murderous intentions, you can just die now. I see you're all trained to have 2 guns or more on you at all times and to be able to fire with both hands even if one hand is largely missing and causing lots of blood loss. But it's not good enough to kill me. I don't compliment Nazis. Prepare for your lives to come to a bloody end. Drawing Devastation!" In under 20 seconds, I slice through each and every one of them. None of them survived for long after that. They quickly bled out before dying. With them out of the picture, I turn to the resistance members present: "Your time to rise up isn't now. You will know when it is time. I'll help your cause along by making an example out of these Nazi officers. *pulls out a large paintbrush from ender pouch* This will work. I'd rather not kill but it's kill or be killed in these times. I wish you all the best of luck. I will return disguised in order to further help out with your resistance and to gain intel. Farewell for now." I turn all of the corpses into cards and walk outside. It doesn't take long to find a building covered in Nazi imagery. Perfect for my plan. I revert the carded corpses back into just corpses right in front of the build and paint a message with their blood: "This is what all our oppressors deserve for hurting and using us. They have gone way too far. Fight back. Resist. Kill or be killed. No pain, no gain."
I then walk into an alleyway and link into VRAINS to debut a new variant on my Swiftdrawer outfit featuring inverted colors and a gray cloak. I walk back into the tavern and go to the bar again and speak in a deeper voice than my normal voice: "Hi there. Could I get some bread? That's all I want." It had been some time since I took down Nazis in here. Painting big letters in blood is hard and time consuming after all. "Sure. Coming right up. I have some actually cooking in the back right now. It will be done very soon." They go right to the back and come back with 2 hot steaming loaves of bread on a nice plate: "Here you go. Please enjoy." "Thank you. How much is it? I have plenty of gold to spare. Gold's worthless to me at this point." "Free of charge. On the house. Today has been a very good day." "Thank you so much. It's been so long since I've had freshly baked bread." The bartender nods before going to someone else. I would love to know their name. They have brown skin, midnight blue eyes, long black hair, and a white and green uniform that comes with a purple apron and red shoes. I savor my bread as an excuse to listen in on conversations around me. My left eye is still firmly closed from opening a portal with my power for the very first time but I have really good hearing anyway. Helps that I never spent enough time being exposed to extremely loud sounds over the past 5 years to get any noticeable hearing problems from such. "Hey did you hear about the bodies found outside that recruitment center with a message written in blood above them?" "Oh yeah. It's all people are talking about outside. Whoever did it will have to watch out for the super secret police force the government has." Another conversation: "I heard there are rumors that our liberators from wokeism are building a super army up in Otherworld." "Huh. These radicals must be pushing them incredibly far."
"They are. Did you hear about what happened in Galados? A lot of miis went missing and a factory was blown up not to mention the destruction of nearly the entire combined navy of our liberators." I keep on listening and don't learn anything else new besides the clear mix in public opinion of the little scene I set up. I'm about to start playing the role of a bard singing improvised stuff with subtle meanings hidden in the words when my phone buzzes. I get it out and see a message from Barla. She's asking for help up in Otherworld to stir up a monster uprising. I finish my bread after putting it away again and leave, just happy to enjoy some bread at least. I exit the tavern and slip away into the alleyway before decoupling myself with my Link VRAINS avatar. I teleport to Otherworld immediately after that. Barla is waiting for me: "There you are!" "Why did you ask me to come? Why are we the only ones here?" "No one else with the capacity to think the way you do was available. Dominic's on the day patrol for Skyscraper today for example. And you were the only one besides me not on a combat or patrol mission." "Damn. Well, that shows why there are rumors the Nazis are building an army somewhere up here. They must be pushing really hard today." "At first they weren't pushing against us so hard in battle but now, they're ruthless and relentless. It happened while you were missing from this universe." "I see. Now, let's get this done. I was about to spread revolutionary ideals through subtle messaging in improvised bard style performance when you messaged me. I couldn't find out much at the tavern. But enough talk, we have to get this done. Who came up with this mission anyway?" "Why Sophie of course! It was an almost explosive surprise but I like it! She was sad to hear about the suffering monsters are put through up here. People tried to make this place their home but 2 months after the SDL was defeated, they were forced to flee."
"Okay. That's enough for me. Let's do this." "Glad you're ready! Come with me, I know where most of them happen to be." "Lead the way. I don't know it after all." It takes about 20 minutes of walking but we make it to where most of them are. It looks to be a metal version of a cave that was created by hand. Once we entered we come face to face with some Imp guards. One of them says: "Who the hell are you? Go away, we hate creatures who aren't monsters!" "Listen here Imp, we share a damn common enemy! Let us aside, we want to speak whoever is in charge here!" "We won't grant you entrance into this place! Wait, is that the smell of blood? Where is it coming from?" I pull out my sword from its scabbard: "Right here, I always forget to clean it off after fighting." "I smell the blood of 16 miis and not just any miis, miis who have recently been intoxicated! Who are they?" "Most of them are dead now. They were Nazi officers, one was a commander." "And how can you prove that? Wait, I recognize their blood scents. We fought them off last time they tried to enslave us! Go ahead, speak to our leader! But don't be surprised if the others want to kill you on the spot!" We nod and walk in after the Imps let us pass. Inside, there are thousands of different monsters from throughout all of Miitopia. However, the smell of blood from my sword keeps them from lashing out at us. We come to the center of the place to find a life form that looks so much like Darker Lord Brayden.. They spot us and laugh manically: "Are you little adventurers here to try to kill me? Pacifying my subordinates with mii blood. Impressive. No one has been able to come this far into our cave! You don't look like Nazi officers. Are you just hiding that fact about yourselves?" "Hell no! My explosives were largely responsible for blowing up an entire Nazi run factory in Galados last month!" "Last month? I heard about that from some of the Nazis we captured and ate alive. Taking their faces away wasn't very satisfying."
"Barla, you forgot to mention what else we've done. For example, I killed 14 Nazis today and painted a message in their blood." "Oh yes, we know everything that's going on. Even the faceless sewer rats below the streets of the Travelers' Hub are excellent contacts to extract intel from! So you were behind that? Okay, now I'm truly impressed! And since you two are clearly friends, I can trust both of you. Don't hurt or betray me. I'm not who I used to be." "What the hell do you mean used to be?!" "Your knight friend should know. I remind them of someone their mii counterpart fought against with 9 others. Isn't that right?" "Are you really Darker Lord Brayden?" "I knew you would figure it out! There isn't much time left we can chat, the Nazis will return here to fight again soon. Let me explain how I still exist. Since Nathan was given a new body and Bray was freed from his control, I shouldn't exist, right? That's not how it worked out. Because Nathan was freed of nearly all of his hatred, greed, anger, and malice, something happened. The expelled feelings were kept alive by left over magic from the battle that led to him being a mii again. A leftover Replica Dark Lord got too close to those feelings and was taken over by them. The monster never had any real intelligence or will of their own so it was easy. My consciousness was created at that moment. I transformed the monster's body into what you see now and started seeking out revenge. However, that villain Gorganan wiped me from existence. When Miitopia's timeline was restored, so was I. And then, Gorganan was defeated along with the Shadow. A time ripple from that altered me to starting having more complex thinking patterns. I began to reform. I gathered an army of monsters when the Nazis took over this place. They've put us through a lot of suffering. I was made leader and now we're here talking." "So that's it. That might be how Dark Lord Melvin came back and went to Midgard's Geffen Tower to stir up problems."
And then, a large explosion is heard. "Attention all monsters, get ready to fight with our new comrades in battle! I declare that we'll join the liberation movement! If anyone objects, say so now!" None of the monsters voice any objections and so, the battle quickly begins. To my shock, our enemies aren't fazed by any damage they take. "Damn it! Are these Nazis androids?" "This is not good! We won't be able to defeat them. I know the strength of all of the monsters here. Even with your help, we won't be able to win at this rate. I'll have to reveal a secret of mine: the power the original Darker Lord Brayden had is also within me and greater than ever before now. But still, it won't be enough for us to defeat them. Even if I manipulate this whole Otherworld to our advantage. We need more help." A large fluctuation of energy makes the ground shake a little bit. After it stops, a bunch of individuals are revealed to have come to our aid. Darker Lord Brayden smirks: "Let it be known that our revolution begins now, my fellow monsters! Let the Otherworld Insurrection begin! Fellow monsters from beyond the walls of this cave, rise up and resist in this Otherworld! Together with our new comrades, we will destroy these Nazis! It's time for a new era for monsters to truly begin. Come forth, my servants!" The former villain transforms into Darkest Lord form and starts taking as many faces off of the enemies as possible while his coin monster servants appear. This renders some of our enemies unable to fight. Bray shows up by me and reacts: "Is that Darker Lord Brayden?" "No time for explaining!" "Indeed! I shall worry about that later! We won't go through what happened in Galados again! I cast Ultimate Regeneration, the final definitive name for my technique! For 20 minutes, no one has to hold back in terms of physical strength! The people living safely under our protection have decided to do patrols for us! And there are more comrades coming soon!"
What we didn't know was how hard the battle was still going to be. I charged at one of the Nazis, a child android.. I tried to cut through their arm but nothing happened. Instead, they tried to kill me with the same purple laser from before but coming from their right hand. This poor child has been engineered into a nearly unstoppable killing machine with high defenses and energy reserves. Androids don't get physically exhausted. I'll have to go wild to stand a chance. The laser does puncture me but the damage is instantly healed with the pain taken away as well. I grit my teeth but it turns into a smirk when I realized that Bray's spell caused my left eye to recover. I can use Artist's Eye again. With that in mind, I smirk even harder at what I'm able to do now so long as I can maintain my focus long enough. I'm going to puncture every damn Nazi I can with black metal rods I create. I put my sword away and backflip away from my android opponent. They come to me and try to blast and beat the living hell out of me. However, I don't have to hold back or suffer from my still ongoing affliction at the moment. So I grab them and use my power to create a huge sword right through them. Or at least, that was the plan. However, I couldn't even finish it because the android is much tougher than I expected. Instead, the incomplete big sword falls to the ground. Instead of doing that again, I get annoyed and use all of my strength to throw the android to one side of the cave, creating a big hole in it. "That's it! I'll just push some damn hard onwards with my power! Haaaaa! Let's see what happens when I channel it through my sword!" I pull out my sword and focus with all of my might, allowing myself to get hit by attack after attack as some of the Nazis try to kill me. I don't care how damaged my armor gets. I'm going all in with this. I channel my power through my sword and use it to swing around black metal rods I'm creating at as many Nazi enemies as possible.
When they're all in place or on the ground, I don't really care, I concentrate to manipulate them in order to grow and just keep doing this despite the pain. But even so, most Nazis aren't punctured by them. I am able to kill some but not many through those rods but it's better than nothing. After such a failure, my next step is to just go crazy. For the rest of the 20 minutes, I use all of my special attacks so many times each. I just kept it up and protected a lot of monsters through doing so. It was worth it because some of the androids were disabled through all of our efforts. However, things got a lot harder after time was up because Bray didn't have nearly enough mana to perform it again due to having to keep up on the attack. So when we got more vulnerable, I watched her change from magic to physical in terms of attack style. A more aggressive side of Bray is being shown. This is great but it won't be enough. There are too many enemies to just watch her for long so I prepare for a lot more fight. I cast the Repair spell on my armor with the man's I did manage to regain since the middle of last month. "Damn you Nazis! You're so tough to beat! Bastard tyrants, this is all their responsibility! But it's also our fault! We should have learned about them sooner and did our best to stop them before things could escalate to this point! Just try and kill me, I dare you! I'll give you the entire power of my defense as it is now and see how you like it! Haaaaa!" As a result of this, I take on a ludicrous amount of damage but it was so damn worth it. While I took all the damage, the others could focus on attacking better. I used Artist's Eye one last time to create a small bomb. I threw it as far as I could into the enemy's frontlines, hoping that it would eventually explode. In the meantime, I realize that my armor is starting to crack again. Therefore, I stop moving around and let the enemy come to me. When they do, I perform 150 Extremely Risky Spin Slashes at once to create a fire tornado barrier.
It's a tactic I've used before and it really came in handy for holding them off for a good minute or two. Once the protection is gone, I am wide open but unwilling to give up without one hell of a fight. I change my strategy again. This time, I focus on the power of my fists combined with new metal gloves I had made. They're also standard for our movement now but that doesn't matter right now. What matters is getting out of this battle alive. "Prepare yourselves, bastards! Swords aren't the best against androids like you. Therefore, I will just have to go hands on!" "Arr! Swiftdrawer! Do you need any help!" "Blaster! We all need to help each other! We'd be better off fighting together against all of our enemies!" "You're right! I'll make sure that we end up grouping together is one!" "Good because as brightly lit as this metal cave is, that doesn't change the fact that a lot of us are split off, fighting in pairs or alone against a big chunk of Nazis! Our situation isn't good." "I agree! Let's do this and send these landlubbers to hell!" After a few minutes, we all end up getting together to fight. More of our comrades come out to help too such as the members of various guilds. It's too bad that we're all so busy with problems such as fighting the Nazis that I've barely had any time to spend really any time around the majority of members of the guilds who have chosen our side to fight on. Now that we're all together, we stand a much better chance of surviving this battle and winning it even. However, it will still be extremely difficult. Most of our enemies are boss level monster hard to defeat. It's like dealing with a bunch of Cells from the Dragon Ball multiverse. Not fun but a fact anyway. "Ha! Ha! Get back! Damn you! Just how many of them are there?!" "The monsters and I have been watching the army build up since the defeat of the SDL. They have been creating this army for over 3 years. Appears to be some kind of trump card of theirs. They would have brainwashed me and the monsters if you hadn't come for sure. With us helping this army, you would have definitely lost the war eventually."
"Seriously?! This is a crisis. We'll need everyone we can possibly get to help us!" "This is a nap causation but we can't contact anyone up here. The electromagnetic interference is too strong." "Crap. Well, we'll just have to figure out how to destroy the androids then. In the Dragon Ball multiverse, it often takes huge energy blasts to destroy androids completely. Have you tried hacking into the androids, Dominic? Ha! Ha! Take this and stay away, Nazis!" "I tried but it doesn't work." And with that, I know what I must try. I'm going to try to use my metal gloves combined with my fists to break through an android. If it doesn't work, I'll just keep pushing on until my entire fist is broken. If that isn't enough to break through, I don't know what I'll do. One of the androids that is currently attacking me is only focused on me with energy blasts. But even so, I'm still going to get 'em or bleed out trying. "Someone get those other androids from not targeting me any longer! I have a crazy and reckless idea that might work here." Barla replies while using explosives to move herself forward: "It better be a damn good plan because if it isn't, we won't be any closer to at least retreating with as many comrades as possible! I hate this battle! For once, the enemy has us completely outmatched in nearly every way possible! These androids aren't even talking, they're killing machines operating at maximum efficiency! I know this because I once commanded an entire group of androids for about a week during the fight to free Miitopia from the SDL!" "Thank you. I'll try not to fail." As I start my bout focused on just the android I want to take down, I see Dominic destroy an android while sweating heavily. Okay so we can destroy them. Good. Poor kids though. So many were transformed into these emotionless killing machines. It just isn't fair.
Their will has been taken right out of them. That's one of many things that's been clear to me during this war. Anyway, I ready my metal gloved fists and charge at my enemy even as my armor starts taking concerning damage that is creating cracks all over. It won't be long now before the android can blast right through my body and kill me now. I have to do this fast. My foe didn't expect my charge to happen. I use that as an opportunity to get in really close and clench my right fist as tight as I can. It hurts and I'm probably bleeding now but it's worth the pain. Kill or be killed. No pain, no gain. I use my left hand to catch the right arm of the android which was the main one causing problems for me. "You can't attack me all out now! Take this!" I land my right fist right into the center of the upper chest area of the android I'm facing. At first, nothing happens. Then, I start digging in even as they try to blast me into pieces with their left hand. In response to that, I twisted their right hand to orient facing the left. It doesn't cause anything yet but one mistake and they just might blast their own right hand off. My digging in increases in force and intensity. I hear some cracking and feel inside their insides a bit as I break through the now metalized skin. "That's right! You can't get rid of me by moving away now! I'm too stuck to you! If you go up or down, you will just cause my fist to do even more damage to a wider area!" My muscles are straining so hard from doing this but I refuse to stop. Not yet. Not until I break through to the other side. After that, I'll restrain them completely by stepping on them and then tear their insides apart as best as I can. I'll figure out the rest later on. Right now, I must be focused on just doing this. Soon, I break through to the other side. It hurts like hell and I might have screwed up some muscles and ligaments but I did it. My right fist is in so much pain. It feels sticky. The bleeding must be really bad. I succeeded though. I took my time pulling my arm and fist out before shifting my weight to knock the android to the ground. I decide to sit on them because androids can't die from losing oxygen due to being sat on. Note: sitting down on autistic people to calm them down is a terrible and dangerous idea. It has killed people. With what I did to restrain the android from getting back up done, I spread my legs out to pin their arms to the ground.
My leggings haven't received that much damage so any energy blasts shouldn't be an issue for a couple minutes at most. I then reach back in with my right hand and start ripping whatever I can apart on the inside. Electrical sparks and smoke tell me that I have shut down the android. It seems that these androids are less advanced in operating systems than Dr. Gero's. His androids are complete bio machines. These androids are nearly completely bio machines because the insides have electrical wires that were visible and breakable once anyone could get inside. My actions are a revelation for everyone. With the android disabled, I rejoin the others. We have more morale than even at the start of this battle now. We seriously stand a chance now. This is excellent news. But the battle was still difficult and we began to sustain heavy losses from all of the fighting. Thrashbeak almost died. I saw that as soon as I rejoined the others. "Damn it! It was so hard to break through that android I shut down! If it's that hard with a metal gloved fist of mine, it must be incredibly difficult to breakthrough even just the skin at this point!" "You are right. I have been trying to breakthrough with the mana I have recovered but to no avail. I shall not give up but our circumstances are extremely dire now. We're running out of recovery items." As if the victory with my discovery that we can physically breakthrough the androids were completely worthless, a Nazi says loud enough for all to hear: "Attention, leftist freaks and allies of yours! We're going to show all of you how superior we are with the biggest secret weapon we have! Since we can't have the monsters and have no more need of Otherworld, we're going to destroy all of you!" Not a single one of us can even respond before we see a flash and hear a bomb. All of Otherworld is leveled. The skies of it are broken apart. The cave is gone and the ground is collapsing right underneath us. Most of my comrades are dead. No. Nooooo! As if that weren't enough, the ground finishes collapsing, sending all creatures, dead or alive plummeting. Below me, Skyscraper ends up collapsing again.
I didn't know if there were any survivors because I fell to my death quickly. My vision went black as my body splat onto the ground of the cloud Skyscraper was on until it was once again destroyed. Seconds later, I found myself somehow alive as if that battle never happened. But that illusion was broken by the destroyed Skyscraper before me. We contacted the hidden Galados tribes. They agreed to help us as long as we kept our promise to stop any development from happening on the island again and to restore the nature that was destroyed. The hidden Galados tribes appear alongside the tribe of forest spirits. The leader of the forest spirits speaks to us all: "This fight is far from over and we will aid you. We have used our magics which have been passed down over countless generations to revive everyone who was just killed and heal the survivors. We are several of the Lost Tribes of Miitopia. The fight must continue down here as Otherworld has been completely destroyed." The tribes lead a charge against the remaining Nazis. None were killed by the bomb or fall unlike myself and many others. Damn it. There's still so many enemies to fight off. There's no way I can out this whole battle into just one 7.2k or so story chapter back on Earth. There's just no way. Actually, I already wrote about this in the past. Do I remember anything I wrote? Besides what has come to pass, no. Plot inconvenience or convenience is here depending on which perspective you have. I pull out my sword again and perform as many swings as I can once I've finished charging in with the others. The abilities the tribes possess are astounding and amazing. Advanced tech often comes from capitalist greed. But ancient magic often comes from knowledge and passion. That's one of the huge differences between the two. I just wish there was more I could do but breaking through androids would be too slow of a process if I did it. It would also lead to huge problems because my gear and skills make a huge difference in every battle.
It's only natural when considering that we all make a huge difference in battle even if we don't realize it. Our numbers were further increased by Skyscraper residents who wanted to help us fight. Can't believe that Otherworld is gone just like that. Just gone as if it was never there to begin with. I fight off some androids as best as I can until I realize we can call for more help finally. I try to do that myself but it turns out any help we could have gotten is too busy with problems of equal or greater size than the one we are dealing with at the moment. In battle, every second counts. So slipping away to help in another dimension isn't always the greatest idea. Tomapie, Minecraftia, and Kohnanix are largely free of any huge incidents at the moment. That's one reason why our comrades from there are able to help us out a lot here. After I fail to get anyone to help, I use Artist's Eye for the little bit I still can on my own only to find out something horrifying: "Everyone! There are missiles up in the sky headed all throughout Miitopia! Oh no! This is really bad!" Dominic hears me: "That's not all. I calculated their trajectories! They're headed everywhere we have majority support or control! They are planning on wiping the entire movement out with missiles that are weaker versions of the bomb that killed so many of us when Otherworld was destroyed!" "Indeed! I can feel the energy inside of them with my magic.." "I'm going after one of those damn missiles." "Swiftdrawer!" "I know. But, some of us saw how long it took for me to destroy just one android. I want to do something I can do in less time. It will be fine, Mel. I know what I'm doing." "Okay. I trust you." "We've said that to each other a lot so let's stop doing that unless we really must need to." With that, I teleport up to one of the missiles while another two destroy each other thanks to Dominic hacking into one of them. Bray and some other spell casters make another explode in mid air. I better hurry this up because the one I'm on is nearing it's target: Greenhorne Village.
I go Plus Ultra with Artist's Eye for the second time today. My intention this time is to send the missile to another dimension. And I know just which one to send it to. I put in everything I have to open another portal, going even beyond earlier to do it quickly. Everything hurts in the end but the portal opens right in the path of the missile. I teleport right off of it before I go to another dimension with it. It's new target is Don Thousand's castle in Astral-Barian World since it still exists. I don't know if it will kill any Barians but we'll find out when the time is right. I eat an HP banana right after I return to the others through teleportation. There are no props given to anyone. The battle is too hard to have time for something like praises at the moment. The HP banana undoes my exhaustion and any injuries I have picked up since I was revived after falling to my death from Otherworld when it's ground collapsed below us. We've barely made a dent in the number of Nazi forces left fighting us upon the destruction of Otherworld. I'm surprised we haven't lost anyone yet again. No one has the mana needed to perform another crazy regeneration spell anymore. All we have is what we got on us and each other. That's what we have and it had to be enough to win or retreat. All the missiles missed their targets for a multitude of reasons but that didn't make us feel much better about the situation we're in. Instead, we are forced to keep fighting even though we are only standing a chance in defensive power and speed at this point. Not attack power or even intelligence as no one can come up with better solutions for stopping the androids than what has already been tried. Fortunately for us, the rest of our comrades who are present to Miitopia are able to come to us at last and relieve a lot of the pressure on us somewhat.
But even with their help, we are still in a very tight and painful spot. My armor is on the verge of breaking once again and there's nothing I can do about it. "Damn it. They're just too strong for us put together right now. If I'm going to go down, I'm going to try to bring as many of them down with me as I can! Haaaaaa! Take this! Great Infernal Tornado Slash! Great Infernal Tornado Slash!" "Swiftdrawer! Nooo! You can't survive 2 of those!" "Mel, I've gotten steadily stronger. Maybe I'll get lucky and not die right away, long enough to eat another HP banana to save myself." My attacks are actually enough to destroy a few androids because they're so close together now, making it almost impossible for some to avoid getting caught up in them. My body is a mess again. It hurts so much. I can barely move now at all. But even so, I struggle to get out another HP banana and eat it. It's a slow process but I manage to succeed. My body isn't fully healed from it as there's still a few wounds and some exhaustion but it saved me. That begs the question: how many times am I going to die and nearly die until my true end comes? I won't know till I suffer more, right? Good grief, that sounds so wrong. More importantly, I get sick of swinging my sword and not doing damage to the androids who are now our only foes left at this point when I don't use my riskiest attack. Naturally, I decide to use my riskiest attack over and over again. Carlos figures out what I'm doing: "Adam! Please don't! It won't be fun to see you die again!" "Carlos! It's okay! I know what I'm doing! Besides, you should start showing these androids how awesome the pleasantly plump really are!" "Don't die!" "I'll try my best not to!" "Keep it up!" And with that, I begin the chaos of using it over and over while eating an HP banana between every time I perform the attack. "Great Infernal Tornado Slash!" *eats HP banana* "Great Infernal Tornado Slash!" "Great Infernal Tornado Slash!" *eats HP banana* "Great Infernal Tornado Slash!" "Great Infernal Tornado Slash!" *eats HP banana* "Great Infernal Tornado Slash!" "Great Infernal Tornado Slash!" *eats HP banana* "Great Infernal Tornado Slash!" *eats HP banana*
"That's all I can do right now! I'm spent on the attack and HP bananas!" The result of doing that attack over and over was that I wiped out some more of the androids and caused some others to fall into the ocean where they malfunctioned and exploded as we later found out after the battle was finally over. Meanwhile, some more were sent falling on each other and getting trapped by being thrown into piles together. This made them easy pickings for many attacks at once, obliterating them off the face of Mii World. I hope we can bring back the innocents turned into androids and give them new bodies to live in. What has happened to them is just not right. Madeline was surprisingly calm for the entire battle until an android almost kills her, sparking her rage and unlocking the berserk power inside her once again: "YOU SHOULD HAVE NEVER DONE THAT! I CAN USE THE SAME REGENERATION SPELL AS BRAY AND NOW YOU'RE GOING TI BE DESTROYED! ULTIMATE REGENERATION!" And now, the tide of battle is ours again. I didn't know her Super Berserk mode came with extra mana. Huh. The more you know. At this point, our foes should be very afraid of a "Psychotic Swiftdrawer". Very. As for right now, that just isn't happening. Instead, I'm going to go crazy again. This time, I just focus on my riskiest attack without doing 500 of it all at once again. That was a huge mistake that cost me my life a while back. I will never do that again until I up my physical strength high enough to handle something like that. When will this damn battle end? It feels like there's no end no matter how many androids we're now able to destroy a few of them every so often. Being virtually unkillable for 20 minutes again clearly won't be enough. I could try to learn another ninjitsu move with my power but after the first time I tried, I don't have high hopes and we can't gamble on things I'm not even sure if I'm able to succeed at or not. To be continued.
Outro: And there you have it! I planned this one out too but it still diverged greatly from the plan and that's okay! I'm just glad it's done! I hope you liked reading this! It sure is the least dialogue heavy thing I have made in some time. Or so I believe. I'm not actually sure. No matter. I got to drop some hints of some stuff that's to come in the future for my stories. This was medium difficulty to write. Bringing Darker Lord Brayden back and into my stories like this was probably way better than how I was going to bring him back originally. I set precedent for that in one of the A Collection Of Other Adventures chapters so it wasn't too far fetched to write something like that. And now I don't have anything else to say. See ya. Bye bye now.
