Remnant, this future-fantasy world with airships, gadgets, high-tech weaponry, and a form of natural energy called Dust. All of it exists side by side. Not to mention one other thing: danger. The Grimm, Faunus extremists, criminals, you name it! But outside of Remnant's orbit, lies a spaceship as long as eighteen kilometers hidden within the shattered moon of the planet. It is where Vekk-Torr planned his next move on the destruction of this world. From his control room, he watched as his plan continued to play out under his watch. This phase of his plan is to infect an individual with a virus he made and place it where an unlucky individual would get infected, and head towards Haven Academy. Where the individual will infect the students. Which will brainwash them into serving him. So far, he has found patient zero, a farm boy named Oscar Pine, and he has almost arrived at the said academy.

"Good. The farm boy has arrived in Haven. Soon, all of its guardians will follow my orders." He cackled.

But as he continued to watch the events in Mistral, he received a call from one of his communications officers.

"Sir, your generals await to see you." She informed

"Excellent. Send them in." He responded.

The door to his control room opened and four robots, all of them similar to each other, entered. Braane-Strom is colored teal and midnight green, and his head is akin to a barrel cactus. But makes him levitate off the ground, so his dwarf-like body doesn't make him fall over. Rock-Skar, who is colored neon blue, silver, and indigo. He takes the form of a humanoid glam metal band member. Ram-Busch, who is colored white and red, whose form is a head of a ram with gold horns and a body of a man. And Shrapp-Null, who is colored International orange, black, and purple, whose form is akin to a roller derby skater with inline skates, and is outfitted with grenades at the hips and has explosive-themed spiky pigtails, gauntlets, arm pads, and kneepads. Braane-Strom, Rock-Skar, and Shrapp-Null's faces are screens, similar to Vekk-Torr's.

"Welcome aboard, my generals." He said as he summoned a table and chairs, each for his four generals and himself.

Ram-Busch groaned as he began to speak. Then all five of them sat down in their respective chairs.

"Glad you four could arrive on time." He recalled as he began showing his battle plan. "This is Remnant. A world-"

"Yeah, yeah. A world with airships, gadgets, high-tech weaponry, and a form of natural energy called Dust. Come on, I know all of this. You have destroyed worlds like these dozens of times." Shrapp-Null interrupted.

The rest of the group paused and looked at her in utter silence.

"What? It's all too predictable. Much like the readers who keep reading this." She continued.

The group groaned as she nagged on.

"May I continue?" Vekk-Torr asked the hot-headed, fourth-wall-breaking robot skater.

"Fine" She sighed.

"Legends. Stories scattered through time. Mankind has grown quite fond of recounting the exploits of heroes and villains, forgetting so easily that we are remnants, byproducts, of a forgotten past. Man, born from dust, was strong, wise, and resourceful, but he was born into an unforgiving world. Inevitable darkness — creatures of destruction — the creatures of Grimm - set their sights on man and all of his creations. These forces clashed, and it seemed the darkness was intent on returning man's brief existence to the void. However, even the smallest spark of hope is enough to ignite change, and in time, man's passion, resourcefulness, and ingenuity led them to the tools that would help even the odds. This power was appropriately named "Dust". Nature's wrath in hand, man lit their way through the darkness, and in the shadow's absence came strength, civilization, and most importantly, life." He reported.

"Wow, what a story. Sounds derivative of what Salem said." Shrapp-Null jeered as he finished telling the group about Remnant.

The rest of the group looked at her in utter silence again.

"Anyways, you have been chosen to guard all four of this planet's kingdoms. By doing so, you will stop anyone who interferes with the whole ordeal we have. To make sure this planet is ready to be destroyed." He declared as she showed the group a hologram of the planet and its kingdoms.

"So basically, what paint color we have determines what kingdom we get. If that's the case, I get Vacuo." Shrapp-Null said.

"Aw, man. I don't want Meragerine." Rock-Skar complained.

"Then how about Mistral?" Vekk-Torr asked.

"Mistral, huh? Heck yeah! Maybe I can put up a show in its cities." Rock-Skar replied.

"Atlas? I'll take it." Ram-Busch said.

"Then it's settled. We will see you as we have subdued the guardian problem." Braane-Strom addressed.

"Excellent. Soon, much like Salem before her, Remnant will fall to my hand." He said as his generals left for the four kingdoms they were assigned to.

He then deconstructs the table and chairs and heads to the front of the ship, where he began to cackle as they rocketed to the planet itself. But then, his communications officer chimed in.

"Sir, the Huntsmen and Huntresses you have concealed just arrived on your ship." She said.

"Excellent. They will make excellent additions to my collection." He informed.

Elsewhere, it was a pleasant afternoon in the city of Vale. The sun was shining in the west without a cloud in the sky, birds were singing, and the streets were livid with people. Amongst the crowd were Tari and Theo, who had just arrived on Remnant.

"Wow, there are so many people here! It's like Silica City!" Theo exclaimed.

"I agree. It does feel like Silica City." Tari agreed.

The two chuckled at each other, implying they agreed on something. But as they continued walking, they were interrupted by a friendly human-like robot.

"Salutations!" The robot said.

"Whoa! You scared us!" Tari addressed the stranger.

"My apologies." The robot noted.

The duo then walked around the mysterious figure.

"Do those two know where they are going?" She asked herself.

Our heroes then went shopping for all their needs, including clothes, weapons, and of course, Dust. In a clothing store, the duo tried on numerous outfits, criticizing each other as well. Tari's outfit consisted to be a hooded jacket akin to her own over a gradient blue to a white t-shirt, khaki cargo pants, white socks, and robin's egg blue boots. Theo's was a yellow button-up shirt with green stripes on the left an undershirt underneath and a shark tooth necklace. He also sports black athletic shorts and blue sandals. In a weapons store, Tari obtained a longsword that doubles as a whip, while Theo stuck with his coconut. And finally, at From Dust Till Dawn, Tari managed to get some Air Dust for her new weapon. Once the two managed to leave with their purchases, the two continued to walk in the city until they reach a restaurant.

"Now what?" Theo asked Tari as they sat down at a table.

Tari activated her Meta Runner Vision to show what they should do next.

"It looks like everything, Now, we head towards Beacon Academy." She responded.

"Salutations! … again." The figure from before cheered. "Wait. Did you just say Beacon Academy?"

"Yeah, we are just about to go there!" Theo divulged to the stranger.

"Theo!" Tari hissed.

"I hate to inform you two. But something fishy is happening there." She informed the two.

Tari and Theo chuckled at the response she gave.

"You're lying," Tari responded.

The stranger jumped onto the table and then pointed at Tari.

"You think this is funny? I'm serious. Someone or something is making the students and faculty their mindless soldiers." She stated.

The jump on the table accidentally activated Tari's Meta Runner Vision, making her analyze who she was.

"Whoa there, no need to be rude Penny," Tari interjected.

The group paused on what Tari said.

"How did you know my name?" Penny questioned the Meta Runner.

"Well, I am not from here. I come from a place called Silica City." Tari responded.

"Silica City? You must be new here. What about this little guy?" Penny questioned Theo.

"I'm with her." He replied.

Penny raised her right eyebrow in amazement at the two strangers.

"Fascinating," Penny remarked. "Perhaps I should help you on your way there."

The three then headed towards the docks, where a ship heading towards beacon made a stop. But as the three are about to enter, they were met by General Ironwood.

"Penny, what seems to be the problem?" He asked.

"Nothing sir. These two were about to be on their way to Beacon." She replied.

Ironwood looked around her to see Tari and Theo as the two waved back at the general. He then stroked his chin and paused.

"They are huntsmen, right?" He questioned the robot.

"Correct, sir," Tari interjected.

"Well," He smirked. "Welcome aboard."

Ironwood granted them access to come aboard and as they boarded, they were headed to their location: Beacon Academy. In a few minutes, the airship landed at the academy. Once the doors opened, Tari and Theo ran towards the academy grounds. Penny and Ironwood came to a pause and watched as the two sprinted.

"Oh my gods, they just ran in," Ironwood said.

"I can see that. They are about to stir the Lancer's nest." Penny noted.

As the two were about to reach the academy's doors, they opened by themselves, unbeknownst to the heroes.

"Looks like they're waiting for us. The last one there is a rotten… tomato!" Theo hinted.

"I agree, but watch out for the jetpack," Tari responded.

The two rushed into the main hallway, expecting to see friendly faces in the academy. But what they got was utter silence. No students, no teachers, no chatter. But there is someone at the top of the stairs leading to Ozpin's office. As the two stopped at the stairs, they looked up at the figure at the top of the staircase.

"Professor Ozpin?" Tari questioned the figure.

"You must be confused. Beacon, like all the other schools, is under new management." The figure stated as he turned around.

He walked towards the two as they stepped back.

"Cardin Winchester? Leader of team CRDL?" Tari asked.

"Yep." He responded.

"Tari," Theo warned her friend by tugging on her pants. "We gotta go."

"Theo…" Tari whispered.

"I said we gotta go!" He pleaded.

Theo ran for the door and Tari continued to make eye contact with Cardin.

"Wait, your eyes. They're not as normal as they are." Tari noted by seeing the blue-violet eyes in Cardin.

"I know, it's mandatory for our new boss," Cardin replied.

Tari then sprinted from Cardin. But as the two begin to catch up, the doors of the academy have rapidly begun closing. As they ran for their lives, Cardin caught up by simpling walking, carrying his weapon, The Executioner. But then, the doors closed and the two were already trapped. As Cardin placed his weapon on his left shoulder, Tari and Theo began to get scared.

"Any last words?" He said.

"RUN!" Tari yelled as the two jumped out of the way of Cardin's swing. Tari ran to the right and Theo ran to the left. Cardin, now infuriated, called his teammates in his Scroll.

"Team, they're on the loose. Catch them!" He ordered.

On the left side of the school, Theo ran as fast as he could from anyone trying to catch him. But as he entered a lecture hall, he saw somewhere that could hide from his pursuers.

"Crackerjack!" Theo yelled.

"Hey, Foxy boy! We got one!" Yelled Russel Thrush, one of Cardin's teammates.

Theo panicked about how he could escape. Luckily, he found something he can squeeze into. The air vent. By using his excellent parkour skills, Theo managed to grasp onto the vent and enter the duct. But he was too late, and Russel managed to return with backup.

"Right there, in that vent," Russel informed his companion.

"Roger that." Fox Alistair of Team CFVY responded.

Fox then fired a shot from his weapon, Sharp Retribution, at the vent. This shot would knock Theo into the vent shaft.

"Oops," Fox said.

Theo managed to crawl and hurdle through the vents until he could reach the back of the school. Tari, on the other hand, had enough prowess, unlike her friend. When she came across Dove Bronzewing and Sky Lark, she used her jetpack to hurdle other the two brainwashed huntsmen. She then blew a raspberry at the two, which ticked them off.

"Run, run, as fast as you can, slapnuts!" Tari taunted.

Just as she managed to lose the two, Yatsuhashi Daichi appeared by barging through the doors leading to the back of the academy. He sprinted at the Meta Runner attempting to chokeslam her. Tari, using her Meta Runner Vision, found a way against her larger adversary. She began to slide on the floor, and by doing so, tripped her adversary so he was sent flying. By the time Dove and Sky caught up, Yatsuhashi was about to run into them. The three of them crashed through a window and fell to the ground. Outside of the smashed window, the three unconscious huntsmen groaned in pain.

"Now what?" Sky questioned his fellow brainwashed huntsmen.

At the back of the school, Tari heard a rumbling in the vents.

"Theo!" She screamed.

She pulled out her sword and sliced open the shaft above her, it then bent, and out of it came Theo. She then catches him and then he leaped off her arms and onto the floor. The two ran towards Beacon Cliff, and for better means, the Emerald Forest. Once they reached one of the launch pads, Theo jumped onto Tari's jetpack and with a stomp of her right foot, she activated the launch pad that sent them both flying.

"Okay, now phase two. A landing strategy." Tari said.

"Yeah, but let's celebrate we escaped those psychopaths." Theo cheered, unbeknownst to the figure about to approach them. "Crackerjaaaaaaa-oh shi-"

The two were hit from behind by the figure's handbag and were rocketed toward the grounds of the forest. The hit made a crater five yards wide and one and a half feet deep, where both our heroes lay knocked out.

"Next time, check our six," Tari suggested as she got up.

"Good point," Theo agreed as he regained conscience.

As they emerge from the crater, Tari heard the sound of trees igniting into flames and collapsing and the approaching figure that struck them before emerged from the smoke and shadows. Who revealed herself to be Coco Adel, leader of Team CFVY.

"You two aren't going anywhere. Vekk-Torr demands your presence." She declared.

She converts Gianduja into its machine gun form and walked forward to the duo.

"Why are you trying to kill us, is this some sort of game?" Theo questioned Coco.

"Why yes, small fry. The most dangerous game." She answered.

Coco began to spray and pray all over the forest as Tari and Theo ran from the leader of Team CFVY's crossfire. By activating her jetpack, Tari rocketed past kilometers of trees until they reach the forest's temple. But the further they were away from Coco, the stronger the blaze became. At the said temple, Tari and Theo manage to catch their breaths after being hunted not only by seven huntsmen and huntresses but also by a planetwide problem.

"Guess Penny was right, something IS fishy with them. They were trying to kill us." Theo bellowed in fear.

"Not to mention all seven of them share the same eye color and the lack of professors," Tari replied.

"Speaking of them, where are they?" He inquired.

"I don't know…" Tari responded.

As the blaze got near the temple, the heroes headed toward the inside of the temple. However, it somehow activated a mechanism that wasn't supposed to be there. A forcefield protected them from the ongoing fire but also started to levitate. As it emerged to be spherical, the mechanism lifted the bottom of the temple and rocketed into the stratosphere.

"Tari, I don't like the looks of this!" Theo yelled.

"Me too," Tari replied as she looked up, signaling they were getting higher and higher in the atmosphere.

The mechanism then headed toward the shattered moon and exited the ionosphere. Tari and Theo can only look in amazement as they see Remnant from space, but also in fear as they saw the ship on the moon. In his control room, Vekk-Torr saw the contraption heading toward his ship.

"Hm, didn't see that coming." He said.

As the mechanism headed to the ship's cargo bay, the duo looked in fear of the pitch-black, ultraviolet-lighted ship.

"I got a bad feeling about this," Tari informed her friend.
