Chapter 48

The Ronin

Back in Japan things were… tense, many members of the League of villains were on edge. The Anti Hero Militia has made it clear they weren't the heroes they once dealt with. These guys were dangerous and will kill if need be. As days went by and tensions grew a small skirmish occurred. Of course the Militia didn't want Kiralexia to worry about it as it didn't end in many loses on both sides. Only about a dozen compared to the near 50 the League fought with. Spinner being apart of that group.

Speaking of him after the skirmish the League went dark and hid away. They just lost two vital assets to there war ahead. With Toga and Twice now gone and Dabi out spying on the group that left Japan, things are as I've said tense and… let's just say unpleasant as well. Of course the Militia wasn't much better either, coming out of the shades from so long has left the population a bit antsy. Perhaps this is why they haven't taken a strike at the League yet. Spinner didn't want to think about it to much he just wanted to go on a walk in the park and get his mind off things.

Though one thing did get him more unsettled than the Militia. While of course he was aware of how the Militia operated, in fact it made him feel stupid not going for them over the League, one group out there caught Shigaraki's attention. A third party, neither hero, nor villain, not even Mercenary. They were those machines that this 'Kiralexia' fought with Toga, Dabi and Twice, back when they were doing that in secret. Spinner knew and protested it but didn't want a knife in the back or a burnt arm so kept it to himself. But what Toga told him shocked him. Those machines these 'Eternals' he read the books on them, and watched the films. Nearly undying robots that served a now dead kingdom, nowadays they survive around the world but not here in the east. Not anymore…

At least that was the idea of what happened. But the story Toga told him confirmed what he had dreams and thoughts on. These Eternals of Japan were still alive, or at least there old production centers had survivors. Yet THAT wasn't what he was unsettled by, it was Shigaraki getting information on what looked like the group of Eternals around a mountain area but… they grew in numbers and even looked more pristine. Someone or something out there fixed them. Though remembering the movies did give him knowledge that they could repair themselves but… he doubted they could do that safely in the areas they were in. that was League territory in essence and THAT was what made him worried. Why were they there, and who repaired them?

Hell this wasn't the only sighting some others were seen and they seemed more, newer? Odd, but nothing to think to much on. If things go right the League won't have to deal with these Eternals at all. That wasn't what made him anxious it was, whose side would they be on? He didn't dare think about it and just continued his walk till he heard something. The voice of Kiralexia, he looked up and saw a big TV screen broadcasting his thoughts.

This had been going on for a while now and quite frankly he felt disdain to it. Though found the 'Rasputin' one entertaining but also a bit brutish. He stopped and went up to get a closer look and saw they were on sails again. He wasn't paying it much mind and many around simply glanced or were watching on other devices, or simply just ignored it. Regardless he never felt it was needed but at least it made for some interesting things to look at. Seeing this man talking to Toga and the heroes of UA was entertaining. As he watched he looked to his right side and saw someone that, seemed out of place.

They wore a bamboo hat that looked more metallic than bamboo on there head. They wore a VERY traditional looking Kimono, with the exact same color scheme and impression of a Ronin. Underneath the Kimono was what looked like more traditional clothing and even baggy pants that glinted a bit. Normally that wouldn't be to bad just a bit odd but, there side arm made him a bit surprised to say the least. A Katana, two of them, one larger the other smaller with there hand, that he swore glinted like metal in the sunlight, resting on the larger ones hilt. there face was covered in a darkness thanks to the hat but also what looked like a scarf pulled over there mouth. Yet there eyes pierced through glowing and Spinner knew they were upset looking at the TV. Spinner didn't know how long he was looking as the person spoke up and turned to them.

"It is rude to stare young one." they spoke with a masculine voice, with a smoothness to it.

"Oh sorry it's just, your clothes are very. Odd."

"Traditions must be kept."

"Sure but… you look like a Ronin and none have existed in years."

"You know your history unlike the rest of these foolish youngsters."

"Of course I found it interesting but now you have peaked my interest. What do you know of, the Eternal Shogun?" Spinner asked without thinking and the man full turned his upper body and stared at him with a tinge of shock in there eyes.

"What do YOU know of him?"

"He was a great reformer and leader who helped us out in dark times but died two hundred years ago. At least, supposedly." Spinner answered a bit embarrassed.

The man then looked to his weapons and chuckled slightly. He looked towards the park then and sighed almost as if he was lost in thought. He then cocked his head towards Spinner and gave his own remark.

"Perhaps he isn't dead yet. A man of his strength with the army he commanded, wouldn't keel over so easily."

"Who are you?"

"The better question is what young one." The man said with Spinner immediately figuring it out.

"You're an Eternal."

"Fast learner I like that."

"What do you want?"

"At first nothing just to be left alone, but now, perhaps… a deal." The man said with an indication of a smile on there face creeping up.

Spinner was taken aback. A deal with the Eternals? Seemed sketchy what could they give in return hell was this genuine or just a false positive? Besides how could he trusts the words of one who wouldn't give there name before. The man could see his reaction and gave a silent snicker.

"I can tell you find this hard to believe."

"Of course, I don't know you and besides. LAST time we lost a member when we tried striking a deal."

"Oh worry not I won't do such things, lacks practicality. At least for the moment."

"That doesn't make me feel better."

"Then believe this, if I or my people wished you harm why have we not striked yet?"

"Better to stay hidden then fight needless wars?" Spinner answered with the man nodding and accepting defeat.

"True true, BUT, I think it would be better to make a deal for now. So come on what's your answer, Spinner?" The man asked with Spinner looking at the man's hand extended slightly towards him. Spinner gulped before asking one last time for his name.

"Heheheheh, My name is Urein so… care to take me to Shigaraki?" Urein asked his hand now extended out more and eyes glowing brighter.

Spinner looked and sighed. Fuck it better to at least try then do nothing. However unlike Twice he would be safer about it. After shaking Urein's hand he pulled out his phone and showed the location where Shigaraki was at for the moment.

"Meet us there, bring a small group of guard, and keep your weapons holstered. we'll meet you tonight but don't expect us to be at ease. We WILL strike if you think you can take us down."

"Wonderful, expect me later tonight. By then HE, would've found the next member and we'll be ready to meet." Urein said with Spinner going back the way he came leaving Urein there by himself again.

When he was out of sight Urein's eyes darkened again and he looked around to make sure none could see or hear him. When he was sure of it he put to fingers against something near his ear and heard a click.

"Did you get all of that sir."

"Of course but… Urein?"

"What it's a good name."

"Take this seriously officer. Keep civil during this meeting, we need to ensure they remain docile afterall."

"No shit wouldn't want handjob prick to take us down now would we?"

"Follow there directions and we'll give you some guards to bring. Lights guidance."

"His fury persistent. we'll talk later." Urein said putting his fingers off the device he talked into and began moving away.

As he moved he looked up at the screen with Kiralexia's visions. False one… snake in metal bindings. He heard of who was next and knew them personally. In days to come… the Militia no all will bow to them again. But first, the deal of successors must be made. For now, we must see how the journey of all friends goes.
