Arc 1: Out of Shadows

*Disclaimer: I don't own any characters or anything Marvel-related, all I own are my OCs.

November 2009 - New York City

It was finally later in the day and Cedric was finally finished with his work day and was able to return back home. The day was long. Extremely long. This secret was starting to eat away at him. He knew it would keep his aunt safe but he telling her was the right thing to do. After all, he is her son. She deserves to know about her kid. If he told her there would be nothing he could do in his power to stop her from looking for her child, she would be doing what any mother would do and that was protect her kid. Even if that kid may be a monster.

Cedric walked through the door of his aunt's penthouse with a small grin on his face. He was happy to finally happy to be home and be able to relax and unwind. He sat his bag down by the door and discarded his jacket, hanging it on the coat rack before he started to make his way to the kitchen. He walked into the kitchen and walked towards the fridge, pulling the door open to grab a bottle of water.

He unscrew the lid and raised it up to his lips but paused momentarily as the picture of his cousin once again caught his attention. It seemed like it was just staring at him, gnawing at him as if Jason were physically in the room. Cedric sat his bottle down on the counter and walked towards the picture. Once he reached over to the place where the picture stood, he found himself reaching out as if he were reaching out his hand to grab his cousin from the evils that surrounded his mind.

He felt like it was his fault. He felt he was the reason Jason was the way he was. If only he had saved him all those years ago, Jason could still be with them and still be the Jason Cedric remembered.

Cedric lifted up the picture frame, gazing longly at the last innocent picture of his cousin before he became that thing that he was. Cedric seemingly lost track of his surroundings as the front door peeled itself open as he heard a voice echo through the once-empty home.

"Cedric, sweetheart, I'm home," his aunt called, making him snap his head to her direction but in doing so, he lost his grip on the picture and dropped it, causing the glass on the frame to break apart into pieces. He snapped his neck, looking down at the broken glass that lay beneath him. He stared at it with a look of disappointment masking his face. It's almost as if the glass represents the broken place that Jason was in mentally and emotionally.

He kept staring as he heard a set of footsteps run into the kitchen.

"Cedric, you okay?" he heard his aunt say, making him look up and turn his head to see Mikayla and his aunt standing there. Cedric tried to say something but suddenly felt as if his mouth was as dry as the sahara desert. He struggled to find the words to come out of his mouth as she and he both set their gaze upon the broken frame.

"I'm sorry I broke your frame," he said as he finally found a set of words to come out of his mouth. She could hear it in his voice, it almost seemed as if he were broken in a way.

"It's okay baby, it's just a picture frame," she said in a reassuring tone as she walked towards him and put a hand on his shoulder.

"Cedric, are you okay?" Mikayla said with clear worry in her voice. Cedric frowned up as he ran a hand over his mug.

"I'm not really feeling well, Aunt Nessa, I'm just gonna lie down. Is that okay?"

"Yeah baby it's fine, let me know if you need anything," she said as she watched him quickly scurry away with a bothered look on his face. Both she and Mikalya looked on with clear worry in their eyes.

This was unlike Cedric, it was clear that Jason was starting to bother him.

Hours Later

Cedric stood inside his bedroom with his back to the door. He was looking out of the window at the city. He tried to lie down and maybe try to sleep it off but he couldn't. Every time he closed his eyes, he saw Jason or at least he thought he did. Whatever that thing that was, that's what he saw. And he didn't know if that was Jason or someone or something else at least.

Cedric was so distracted that he didn't hear the knock on his door and he damn sure didn't hear Mikayla make her entrance inside the bedroom.

"You okay?" she said as she stood in the doorway, watching as lightly jumped in shock.

"Yeah, I'm alright," he said chuckling at his reaction as he ran a hand over his face as he turned to face her direction. He watched as she seemingly tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and walked towards him.

"What happened back in the kitchen?" she asked as she stood in front of him, looking up at the figure that stood tall in front of her.

"Nothing, I just wasn't feeling well. But I'm feeling better," he lied.

"Oh, that's good, you had me worried for a second."

"I did."

"Yeah, you did. Look I know we've only known each other for a short period of time, but I've grown to care about you in ways that I haven't really cared for anyone in a while. I guess what I'm saying is-"

"I like you too, Mikayla," he said as she smiled and leaned in to wrap her arms around his neck giving him a tight hug as he wrapped his arms around her giving her a light squeeze. The two would stand there wrapped around each other in a tight embrace for a little while longer until Vanessa came waltzing into the room.

"Oh, am I interrupting? I can-" she said announcing her presence in the room as Cedric and Mikayla both quickly pulled away from each other, cheeks turning red as a ripe red apple as they looked away in embarrassment.

"It's fine, we weren't doing anything", he said as Mikayla continued to avoid eye contact looking around the room instead of looking at either individual.

"Dinner is on the stove in case either of you are ready, I made Beef Tetrizini. So I hope you guys enjoy," Vanessa said with a smirk on her face before putting her hand on the door handle and gently pulling it close, leaving the two alone once again.

"I'm gonna go. I'll check in with you later?"

"Yeah, that's fine," He said as he reached out letting her hand graze his just before she turned to walk out of the room with him watching as she exited the room. He turned his head and turned looking back out at the city with a frown. His frown intensified as he saw what looked like a surge of electricity going on in the center of Queens.

He turned around and bolted out of the room in a blur, immediately heading for the terrace and headed straight for Queens.

Queens, New York

In the borough of Queens, the same being that electrocuted Paul a few weeks, Jaxson Pederson stood in the middle of 34th Avenue with a malicious smirk on his face as electricity coursed through his eyes while he had bolts of electricity in his hands. He was aiming at cars that were along the side of the road until he heard a loud pop coming from the sky making him look up.

The Blur came from the sky and immediately charged at Jaxson landing a swift kick to the chest, sending Jaxson flying into the side of a car making a small dent.

"Stand down!" Cedric shouted as he floated above the ground looking forward at the electricity based individual.

"Why don't you make me?" Jaxson said standing up to a vertical base, dusting the dust off his shoulder before he formed two bolts of lightning and tossed them at The Blur who simply formed a force field of energy causing the energy bolts to disappate into the shield.

Cedric lowered the shield and watched as Jaxson came flying at him and started to catch him a series of lefts and right that caused Cedric to stumble a bit before he caught Jaxson with a simple shove pushing him away from him.

The Blur came bolting in with a fist glowing with blue energy as he charged toward the electric being. Jaxson was able to react in time enough and create a shield of electricity and raise it up. Cedric struck the shield with his fist causing a blowback of energy sending both men flying. Cedric landed in the center of the street with a man-sized dent as he grunted while Jaxson landed into a car making a small dent.

Cedric stood up with a frown on his face as Jaxson regained his vertical stature.

"You can give up now and I'll take you in without any harm done to you!" Cedric shouted trying to get Jaxson to surrender but Jaxson had other ideas. And let out some lightning bolt towards Cedric. Cedric felt the bolts of lightning collide with his chest making him groan out in pain as he dropped down to a knee.

He slowly raised his head before firing off a blast at Jaxson. Jaxson shifted to the right allowing that blast to hit a bus' wheels causing the front set of wheels on the bus to go up in flames. Cedric looked on with a frown as he saw the driver of the bus struggling for control of the wheel.

"You have two options Blur, you can either capture me or save that bus. But you can only pick one," Jaxson said before he started to give off an evil laugh as Cedric looked as if he was at a stuck point. He couldn't decide on what to do. He wanted to stop Jaxson in his tracks and put him away but he know he needed to save those poeple.

"This isn't over," Cedric said floating above the ground before he bolted towards the bus to save the citizens of New York.

"Oh trust me this isn't," Jaxson said before he disappeared with a bright flash of lightning dissipating into the street lights.

Cedric quickly flew towards the bus and put his hands on the front, putting a dent into the grille as the metal folded like a simple sheet of notebook paper in his hands. He grinded his teeth together as he felt the bus come to a screeching halt. He flew around the bus creating a small whirlwind taking the oxygen out of the small fire causing them to slowly cease to exist.

He walked towards the doors of the bus and ripped them off their hinges before tossing it away as he stepped onto the bus. He looked around the bus giving everyone a quick preliminary glance over with his x-ray vision. Aside from being scared half to death and having extreme fast beating hearts, everyone seemed to be okay.

"Everyone get to safety, if you can get to the nearest hospital just so they can check you out," Cedric said look over at everyone on the bus with concern. He turned his head to bus driver who looked at him panting for his breath.

"You did good today sir," Cedric said complimenting the driver as he patted him on the shoulder. The Blur stepped off the bus and looked around with a frown on his face. He bolted up into the air flying off into night sky lit up by the bright lights of the buildings of New York.

Undisclosed Location

Meanwhile during the battle, in an undisclosed location. The night sky was pitch black lit up by the moon and the stars as it peeked over Fort Valor. A military fort right outside of Little Falls, New York. It just so happened to be one of the most guarded military forts at the moment thanks to the shipment that was coming in tonight. The shipment was holding a weapon, a weapon with the possibility of hurting hundreds and hundreds of lives if put in the hands of the wrong person. There were guards standing all throughout the fort standing armed looking for any danger that would be present.

From afar floating in the air was none other than Sebastian looking at the guards with a frown on his face. He raised a hand pressing on his ear piece.

"Radialem, are you in position?"

"I have told you many times, I hate that name. You couldn't have come up with a better code name," Jason said, standing at the ground level looking at the guards with a pair of binoculars that had X-Ray capabilities.

"I don't give a damn what you like. I'll call you whatever I damn well want, alright?"

"Will you two stop bickering!" Miles exclaimed over the comm line.

"Fine," Jason said as he looked on with a frown.

"Infero take down the defenses. Radialem, you go inside and retrieve what we came after. If anyone gets in your way, kill them!" Miles said coming over the comm link to devise a plan.

"Well, you heard him. Let's do it." Inferno said as his eyes began to glow with flames as he flew towards the base. As he approached the base, he heard several soldiers begin to shout and point their guns up at him.

On the ground, Radialem flipped a switch in his programming making him go invisible before he began running on the path leading to the doors of the fort. Because of his invisibility factor he was able to run and form a blade from his right hand and stab on the guards in the chest. He quickly grabbed his pistol and fired off three rounds hitting his partner in the chest a few times causing him to fall down to the ground as blood began to seep out of his wounds.

In the air, Inferno was looking down at the men who were shooting him with a smirk as the bullets deflected off of his body thanks to the small upgrade provided by the genius billionaire. He closed his eyes before opening them as fire beams began to come from his eyes. He aimed them directly at the men who were shooting at him, killing them instantly. He closed his eyes once more causing the beams to stop before opening them once more to his original chocolate brown eyes.

"That was way too easy." Inferno arrogantly said looking down at the damage he caused as he descended down to the ground level as Radialem turned off his invisibility. Radialem looked down at his forearm causing a holographic map to appear showing the inside of the fort.

"The weapon's just ahead." Radialem said, looking up from his map at his partners.

Inferno turned his head seeing several Humvees and AH-64 Apache Longbow making their way towards the duo.

"Need help?" Radialem asked, looking up seeing the armed forces coming ahead.

"Go retrieve the weapon, I'm gonna have some fun." Inferno said, turning around as he simply opened his palms causing flames to ignite in the palm of his hands.

"Alright, well have fun you sick bastard," Radialem said before he turned around on his heels and ran inside to retrieve what they were after.

Washington, D.C.

And while the time was currently 8:45 PM in New York, it was the same time in Washington, D.C. as Miles currently stood in the bathroom looking at his reflection in the mirror. He had a scowl on his face as he looked at himself. The bathroom was empty meaning he had all to himself. He closed his eyes and exhaled a calm breath before he regained his composure and walked to the door. He pulled it open and as he walked out, he put a smile on his face. An Image was important to a man like Miles. A good image could get the people on his side. A good image could get him a good chance to get into politics whenever he feels that he's seized the business aspect of power and the streets aspect of power.

"Right this way, Mr. Maverick." said a Secret Service member as they guided Miles to the Oval Office. Miles looked at the hallways inside the white house with a smirk on his face. This was the ultimate goal, the ultimate position of power in his mind. Once he conquered the business world and the crime world, then he would move onto the political world and conquer it in only a way a Maverick can. And then, he would become the most powerful man in the world.

"Alright here we are sir." The Secret Service member opened the door and allowed Miles to walk into the office. Miles looked around at the office. It was historic to say the least. Miles' office at his headquarters was definitely bigger than the oval office but it just didn't have that historic feel to it as much as the Oval Office did.

"Ah, Mr. Maverick, welcome." said President Barack Obama, the 44th President of the United States clad in his black suit with a blue tie and a US Flag pin on the right side of his suit jacket.

"The pleasure is all mine, Mr. President."

"Likewise, you know I knew your father. He was a supporter of my campaign for senator many years ago. In fact I remember when he first had the bright idea to create Maverick Industries. He was a brilliant man, a great man and if he were alive today, he would be very, very proud of you." President Obama said as Miles offered a fake smile. Miles hated his father, Michael. Everyone who truly knew him knew that. But outside of his sister and his closest confidants, no one else knew the hate that Miles had for Michael.

"I miss him. Everyday, I strive to make him proud." Miles lied.

"Well, you're doing a great job. You drink?" President Obama said standing up as he went to his table that had a scotch tray on it.

"Yes, Mr. President."

"Rocks?"

"No Rocks." Soon the President walked around to Miles with two glasses of scotch, one with ice and one with no ice.

"Thank you, sir."

"Now let's talk business, I'd like to make you a rich man. Well, in your case, an even richer man."

"Music to my ears." Miles said, raising his glass with a smile before taking a sip.

Inferno floated in the air looking down with a smile at the destruction he caused. Fire. Fire was the only thing that any one could see and it brought a sadistic smile to the face of the fiery menace. There were bodies lying on the ground, some separated. Limbs separated from the body and small pieces of the vehicles destroyed on the ground.

"You sure made a mess," Radialem said walking out with a black metallic briefcase.

"I was having a little fun," Inferno said with a smirk until it faded once he saw the case, "What were we sent here to get?"

Inferno folded his arms as he looked on with a small frown on his face.

"I don't know. It seems like it's only opened by a biometric scan," Radialem said looking at the case, making Inferno look on with a frown.

"Well, let's go. I'm sure they're sending reinforcements. We need to find out why we were sent to get this and what this is?" Inferno said as Radialem nodded. Inferno used his flames to propel himself into the air as Radialem formed his feet into small jet boots and took off flying after his partner, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake.

The Next Day - New York City

A couple of hours had passed and it was now 7:42 AM on a saturday morning in New York City. Jaxson Pederson was still at large running free and rampant on the city. The idea of a super-powered villian running free in the city proved to be a stressful idea that ran throughout the mind of the man who swore that he would protect the world and everyone in it. How could he do that if he let supervillains escape?

He couldn't do it alone. He had to widen his circle of trust.

He stood on the balcony looking out over the city with a cup of coffee in his hands. He was clad in a pair of simple black jeans with a white v-neck sweater. He was so deep in though that he didn't hear the sound of the screen door opening and Mikayla following him out to the balcony with her own cup of coffee.

"Fancy seeing you here," she said making him turn his head to see her standing there putting a small smile on his face as he saw her clad in a pair of sweat pants with a pair of brown suede uggs a white t-shirt and a flannel.

"What are you doing up so early?"

"I couldn't sleep and I smelled the coffee from my bedroom. And I saw you out here so I followed," she said as she walked towards him at the balcony and stood next to him as he looked out over the city.

"I guess we can have that coffee date we never got to have."

"Yeah, that sounds nice," she said flashing him a toothy grin.

And with that the two would continue to converse throughout the morning while the thoughts about the villain free and running rampant on the city had started to escape his mind.

Hours Later - New York City

A couple of hours had passed since Cedric was last on the balcony and he now sat in the same coffee shop that he met Emmett in with Geoff walking into the shop and looked around the shop until his eyes set on his best friend. He pulled out a seat and sat in front of his powered amigo.

"What are we doing here?"

"We need to widen our circle of trust. And actually be a team. I invited Emmett I'm gonna tell him who I am," Cedric said with as Geoff nodded his head.

"I support the decision, What made you make this decision?"

"I just realised that we need him on our side. We just do. I wanted to try to do this alone to keep everyone out of harms way and keep everyone safe but I realised I can't just do this alone. I need someone to have my back and who better than my best friend and a man who has the technological skill of Tony Stark," Cedric said as a small smile snaked its way onto his mug.

"So Team Blur?" Geoff said, making Cedric chuckle as he shook his head. He was still trying to come up witha name other than The Blur, that sounded too mysterious. It gave off ominous tone which was something Cedric was not trying to do.

"Team Blur. Name still pending," Cedric said chuckling. Geoff raised his hand up leaving Cedric to dap him up. Almost instantly Emmett Atkins came bustling in sporting a beanie with a red puffer jackets a white v-neck, distressed blue jeans and a pair of all white Air Force 1s and a backpack on his back. Emmett looked around the room until his eyes set upon the duo of Cedric and Geoff.

"Wnat's up mate? What are we doing here?" Emmett asked as he grabbed a seat from another table and pulled it up to the duo.

"Emmett, I have something to tell you. You know we've been working with The Blur for a little minute but there's something that Geoff and I have withheld from you," Cedric said as he saw the frown that was on Emmett's face.

Geoff motionted for Emmett to come a bit closer and he did looking on with a bewildered look on his face.

"I am The Blur," Cedric whispered into Emmett's ear. There was a slight pause as Geoff, Cedric and Emmett exchanged glances. Cedric and Geoff were trying to see Emmett's reaction. Emmett started to chuckle, making the two look on with confused looks on their mugs.

"I knew already, I'm just surprised it took so long for you tell me," Emmett said between his chuckles as the pair of friends looked on.

"How?"

"It was pretty easy to put the two together. You both have the same physical stature which is something you really need to work on. Perhaps I can come up with something that can help with that. Whenever The Blur is around, Cedric is not around and whenever Cedric is around, The Blur is not around. To the average person, it's probably not really noticeable but to a person with a intellect like mine, it was easy," Emmett said as Geoff and Cedric both took a deep breath.

"Well that makes it easier to ask this next part," Geoff said.

"I want to officially form this as a team. Officially. Me, You and Geoff together. What do you say?"

"I'm down bruv. Under one condition."

Cedric looked on with a frown as he turned his head to glance at Geoff who looked just as confused as he did.

"I want to be called Hotspot," Emmett said making Cedric chuckle as he nodded.

"Fine, we can call you Hotspot."

"Well, then you got yourself a team bruv," Emmett said with a smirk as Cedric and Geoff chuckled as they shook their heads, "Now, we need to come up with a way to find your guy, Spark, I was searching for places with a huge abundance of electricity this morning and I found this."

Emmett pulled out his tablet from his backpack and unlocked it showing a gridded map of the country. There were a few dots on the map all of them catching Cedric's attention.

"The nearest one is the Robert Moses Niagara Power Plant in Lewiston," Emmett said as Cedric smiled.

"I'm so glad you're on our side."

"You should be. I also designed this for you. So we can communicate while you're on the mission," Emmett said reaching into his backpack once again. This time he pulled out some earpieces. Cedric grabbed the earpiece and put it in his ear as Emmett and Geoff did the same.

"Alright, I'm gonna go. I'll redenvous with you guys later," Cedrc said as he quickly stood up to his feet and walked out of the coffee shop leaving Emmett and Geoff behind.

Later - Lewiston, New York

In Lewiston, New York rested New York's biggest Hydroelectric power plant. A place that would allow Jaxson to absorb all the energy he would need to take out The Blur. Jaxson appeared in a flash of lightning inside the facility. Surprisingly the facility was empty which allowed Jaxson to waltz inside with no problems.

He surveyed the area for the machine that housed the energy until his eyes set upon the machine. A big globe glowing with electricity.

"Time for a quick charge!" the man dubbed Spark by The Blur's guy in the chair, Emmett Atkins as he found the machine that housed most of the electric energy produced by the reservoir.

"Not so fast!" The Blur said as he floated in the air looking down at Spark with a frown on his face. Spark looked up at him a frown formed on his mug while his eyes started to glow with electrical energy.

"I figured your dumbass would be here!" Jaxson said as he aimed directly at The Blur only for Cedric to quickly shift out of the way allowing the blast to hit the wall before he bolted away. Spark kept firing off quick blasts as Cedric was able to dodge them all before his eyes set on a lasso in the corner. He quickly grabbed it and tossed it at Spark, somehow managing to tie him up momentarilliy.

Spark looked on with a smirk as he produced a body wave of electricity that traveled through the rope into The Blur's hands forcing him to release the rope as he grunted feeling enough jolts to kill a human just torch his grasp. In a instantce, Spark disappeared like a flash of lightning leaving The Blur standing there looking on with a bewildered frown.

"You can't stop what you can't see Blur!" Cedric heard as he looked on with a frown. In a instance, Spark flashed behind The Blur and fired off a shot that hit him directly in the back sending him crashing into the computer monitor leaving a man-sized dent. The Blur rose up to his feet and watched as Spark fired off a beam directly at him.

The Blur dropped down to a knee as the electricity just kept firing off hitting him directly in the chest. The Blur gritted his teeth together before he rose up and tried to fight the pain. He bolted towards Spark grabbing him as the two wen through the wall crashing through the wall and to the outside of the reservoir.

"We don't have to do this, you can stand down and turn yourself over into custody," The Blur said as he rose up to his feet while Spark did the same.

"Never, not while there is a breath in my body!" Spark said as he flew off another energy blast hitting The Blur directly in the chest sending him flying back to the wall of the dam. The Blur grunted as his back collided with the wall but Spark wasn;t finished and dashed directly towards him, fists glowing with electricity.

Spark hit The Blur with repeated shots to the jaw making The Blur grunt with each and every single blow. Spark pulled his fist back and shouted as he tried to punch The Blur again but Cedric moved his head to the right allowing Spark's fist to collide with the Dam creating a big hole.

Spark watched as the hole led to a crack that shot up through the wall of the dam.

"Uh oh," Spark said as he stumbled back a bit until a gush of water flew out of the dam and hit Spark directly. Spark groaned out in pain as the toxic combo of electricity and water started to mix. The Blur rose up into the air as he looked at the dam. Hs fired off his energy vision start to mend to the cracks in the dam, closing them tightly.

Once he had closed the cracks in the dam, he turned his head to see Spark crawling up on the rocks along the shore. Cedric flew towards him as Spark started to mutter something in a hushed tone.

"The Monarchy will rise!" he muttered repeatedly until he fell out of consciousness. Cedric looked on with a bewildered look wondering what they meant by that. The Monarchy had been pretty quiet the past few weeks which meant they had to be planning something.

He raised his fingers to tap on the earpiece in his ear.

"Geoff, Emmett come in!"

"We hear you loud and clear, big man," Emmett said.

"I think The Monarchy is planning something. We need to be find out what that is and stop them."

"Well, looks like we got a job to do," Emmett spoke.

"As a team," Geoff added in making Cedric smirk.

"Yeah as a team," Cedric spoke as he then turned his head and looked at Spark with a frown.

Hours Later - New York City

Miles had finally returned back to New York City after his recent escapade in Washington, D.C while his team went on to retrieve a weapon that only he himself seemingly needed for some strange reason. And now he was here to meet up with his team and figure out the next steps of his plan. He looked on with a small smile on his face as he walked through his lab. He paused momentarily when he got to a set of doors with 'Ra' initialed on the door. He placed his palm on a pad beside the door causing it to peel open and walk through.

"Once again, you find a way to make me proud," Miles said walking into the lab as he clapped his hands as his gaze set upon the black metallic case on a metallic desk.

"We got your case. Now do you want to tell me what the hell you sent us after?" Jasonsaid looking on with a frown as Miles pulled his phone out from his jacket pocket and pressed a button causing Jason to grunt in pain as he dropped down to a knee.

"You know I thought after the first time your dumbass would learn but it seems like you have a hard time learning your place. I'm the master here! You bow to me! It's not your place to question me!" Miles said almost like a father discipline his child.

Jason reluctantly nodded as Miles pressed the button again causing the pain to stop. Jason looked down at the ground panting for his breath as he clutched his chest while Miles simply walked around him going towards the case.

"Now if you two will excuse me, I have some business to take care of," Miles said grabbing the briefcase and heading for the exit of the room as Sebastian and Jason looked on with a frown.

Miles stood in his own state of the art lab away from everyone as he had finally opened the case revealing a cylinder glowing with red energy with black metallic lids on both sides. Maverick had finally prepared to fix his friend, Adam Pierce. Adam laid on an operating table with cypernetic parts now. He had his left leg replaced with a silver titanium cybernetic. The entire right side of his body was replaced with a silver titanium cybernetic. His face was mostly replaced with the same silver titanium cybernetic. The rest of his body was covered in a black suit with the 8 point star in the center.

"Now my friend, I give you the gift of revenge," Miles said as he placed the cylinder inside of a machine with a tube connected to Adam's body.

"Begin!" Miles ordered as his AI system picked up on the command and the tube began to glow with the red energy as the energy began to go through the tube into Adam's body. The lights began to flicker in the lab making Miles look up at the ceiling before everything went out.

"What happened? Did it work?"

"You tell me," Miles heard making him turn around to see Adam floating up to a vertical base while his eyes were glowing with energy.

"At long last, I have ascended," Adam said clenching fist while Miles looked on with a evil smirk.

A/N: So it's beena little minute since I last posted a chapter for this story and in that time, I know some people though that I abdanonded it. I just wanna let everyone know that I'm still going forward this fic as I still have a lot of plans for this story and I hope that you all stick around to see those plans. And with that being said, I have about 3 more chapters of Arc 1 planned and then we will move onto Arc 2 and in Arc 2 that's when the good stuff happens in my opinion.
