He couldn't sleep all night. They went to bed super late and made love half of the night, so he could blame it on that. He could also blame it on the amount of alcohol he consumed throughout the previous day, or on the adrenaline the events had sent through his body. But he knows for a fact that it's actually none of that. Just like he knows it's simply because he is so goddamn happy. And that makes him giddy and restless, in the best possible way.

She said yes. And not only to his proposal, but also to being his wife, both in the matter of mere hours. He can't help but grin widely at the thought of this, at how the original plans for last night took a whole unplanned course.

Taking a sip from his coffee, he can hardly believe that he really got this lucky. And while he's standing there on the balcony, he tries to let it all sink in, to process the endless love he feels for that woman, how happy she made him every single day ever since they got together, scratch that - ever since they met, and how that happiness was increased tenfold by her agreeing to marry him right on the spot.

Donna's night wasn't exactly long either, but at least she was able to find some sleep after all, the level of excitement the day had brought, leaving her as nearly as exhausted as happy. Opening her eyes now, she's feeling a little disoriented in the unfamiliar surroundings at first.

But then, it slowly dawns on her, and the memories of everything that happened in the last 24 hours reach her consciousness. The wedding of Louis and Sheila which got cut short by Sheila going into labor all of a sudden, Harvey's completely unexpected proposal, their impromptu wedding and the room in one of New York City's best hotels they booked last minute, the balcony of their grand suite on the top floor overlooking Central Park.

She can't believe she is his wife now, and he is her husband. The words alone let the butterflies flutter wildly in her stomach once again. She huffs a laugh, not yet able to fully process that this really happened to her. After Harvey had finally come to his senses a good 6 months ago, she didn't think she could get any happier. But oh, how wrong she was. Him putting a ring on her finger, taking her completely off guard, took her happiness to a whole different level. The thought makes her grin like a fool once more.

The only thing dampening her mood a little is the fact that he's not lying next to her, the cold sheets on his side of the bed implying that he's been gone for a while. Searching the room with her eyes, her attention gets caught by the billowing curtain now covering the large window front opposite the bed. She only vaguely remembers the stunning view they were greeted with last night after she dragged him over the threshold to their suite with a newfound eagerness. The urge to make love as husband and wife for the very first time quickly became overwhelming after the ceremony, and they left the party shortly after, unable to focus their attention on anything but each other.

The smile on her face grows at the memories and she sits up to stretch her limbs before making her way to find the man whose presence she's already missing so desperately again. Opening the huge sliding door a little further, she finds him outside, leaning against the railing, seeming lost in the view over his favorite city.

"Morning husband," she whispers hoarsely, sending a shiver down his spine.

He turns around, throwing her a huge smile, his eyes sparkling as they meet hers.

"Morning wife," he returns earnestly, wrapping her linen covered frame tightly in his strong arms, placing a kiss on her temple, breathing her in. Donna wraps his body in the sheets as well and buries her face against his chest.

"Any regrets?" Harvey asks after a while.

"Regrets?" she pulls back lightly to get a better look of him. "Harvey, you made me your wife. That makes me the happiest person in the entire universe."

"Good," he breathes, his heart sinking at her words, and he hugs her closer. "I was just worried that it might have all been a little too much."

"You surprising me like that took a while for me to process, but this doesn't mean it wasn't the very best thing that's ever happened to me. Everything was perfect, Harvey." Her thumb brushes gently along his jawline. "Don't tell me you have any regrets?" she quirks a brow at him.

Harvey huffs, reaching for her hand before he says: "Only that I didn't ask you sooner." Eying the ring that looks as if it was made for her hand and her hand only, he places a kiss on it.

"You still like it?" he asks tentatively.

"I love it, Harvey. It's perfect." She wraps her other hand around his neck to pull him in, melting to the feeling of his soft lips on hers. He deepens the kiss momentarily, softly stroking her tongue with his own.

When they part, Donna has a playful look on her face. "Where'd you get that coffee from anyway?" she asks, pointing to the mug he placed on the rail.

"Oh, I ordered room service. There's a cart full of breakfast inside," he reveals to her surprise, gently pulling her arm to drag her back into their room.

"It has strawberries," Donna squeals with excitement as soon as she eyes the tray the hotel staff left at the entrance area of their suite.

"I may have bribed the chef," he gives her his signature grin. "Technically, strawberry season is officially over in New York." He starts pushing the cart ahead of him "I hope you don't mind having breakfast in bed?"

"I really don't," Donna retorts as they reach the king size bed. She can't think of anything better than them spending the whole day in it.

But Harvey falters. "Looks like they forgot to add the whipped cream I specifically ordered as well," he points out, a touch of disappointment in his voice.

"The strawberries will do," Donna purrs in a low voice as she takes one from the bowl. Biting down, she looks at him seductively, letting the sheet she wrapped herself in fall to the floor.

Harvey's body reacts to the sight of his naked wife before his mind has a chance to catch up, his erection already starting to grow as he pushes her onto the mattress, crawling over her.

Stealing the other half of the fruit from her hand, he covers her nipples in the sweet juice, bending down to lick it off immediately.

Donna watches anxiously, her breath already fastening as he reaches for another strawberry. The fire of carnal desire burns in his eyes as his gaze is glued to hers while he bites off a piece, then moves the fruit over her belly and thighs, following the sticky trail with his lips and tongue.

Memories of their very first night together, many many years ago, flood Donna's senses, making her whole body shiver and tingle with emotions. Harvey sends her a sweet yet devilish smirk, confirming that he's having the same thoughts.

Her hips jut forward when her clit suddenly makes contact with the cold texture of the strawberry she didn't see coming, but she can't deny she loves the sensation of Harvey coating her folds in the juice.

He soon devotes himself to her with his mouth, carefully sucking every last droplet from her inner thighs and outer folds until he finally, finally glides his tongue through her slit, circling the tight bundle of nerves that silently calls for his attention. The taste of strawberries mixed with her own, unique taste is as intoxicating as he remembers from all those years ago, and he doesn't let go until her legs start to quiver around his head when she comes, panting his name over and over again.
