"Until he left me for his other friends." Macaque replied, now looking gloomy.
Bei Da was shocked at the news, but at the same time she felt bad for Macaque. He didn't deserve that at all. So she decided to attempt to cheer him up.
"Well, Monkey King is missing out!" She exclaimed.
Macaque tilted his head in confusion as he stared at Bei Da.
"You're a pretty cool person to hang out with!" Bei Da said with a smile.
"Oh! Uh...thanks bean, I guess you're also pretty cool too." Macaque replied, he was still getting used to compliments.
There was a moment of comfortable silence until Macaque spoke.
"Anyways kiddo, we should probably get back to training." he said.
"Okay!"
The black furred monkey had started to rummage through the ruins of the dojo to pull out a punching bag. Once he had set up the punching bag, he started showing Bei Da some fighting techniques. He started off by giving the punching bag a jab and then a roundhouse kick.
After a showcase of beginner moves, Macaque let Bei Da attempt to attack the punching bag. She started with a cross and then a lead hook. She continued attacking the punching bag until she accidentally punched herself in the face and fell down.
"OH SHIT! BEAN, YOU OKAY?" Macaque yelled out in a panic.
He ran over to the fallen child that was lying on the ground.
"Me fine." Bei Da slurred out.
The monkey picked the girl up and started to check her face for any bruises. He noticed two scars on both of her cheeks, but they looked...healed? How did he not notice this before?
He also noticed a little red bruise on her left cheek where the punch had landed. Macaque would talk to Bei Da about the two healed scars on her face, but nonetheless she only had a little bruise. The monkey sighed in relief.
"You only got a bruise on your left cheek, but don't worry it's fine. I'll take care of it." Macaque said. "I also noticed that you have two scars on your face. Do you wanna tell me how you got those?"
"Wha..? OH! You're talking about my LBD scars! I got one when she was fighting the monkey king and the other one was when she was talking to...uh..dang it! What was his name?" Bei Da replied.
"What did he look like?" Macaque asked.
"He had spikey hair and a bandanna. Oh! He also wore an orange jacket!" she answered.
"I think I know who you're talking about," he replied. "His name is MK."
"Right, MK! Yeah, I got the other scar when she was talking to MK. It hurt a lot." Bei Da replied, now looking gloomy after the last part.
Macaque decided that it would be best to end training for today.
"Okay kiddo, I think that's enough for today."
Bei Da nodded in agreement and sat down against a destroyed wall while Macaque started rummaging through the ruins of the dojo again. He found a couple of things like a mattress, hairbrush, and another punching bag. The monkey was also able to find a first aid kit.
He went back to where Bei Da was sitting and placed the items that he found. He looked at the sky and noticed that the sun was about to set. It was probably going to be cold that night so he decided to get some firewood.
"Bean, I'm going to go get some firewood. Do you wanna come with?" He asked, but was only met with the sound of gentle snoring.
He realized that Bei Da was sleeping, so he picked her up and placed her on the mattress. He took his scarf off and placed it on her like a blanket like usual. He quickly got up and summoned a shadow clone to watch over Bei Da while he looked for firewood. He went into the partially destroyed forest.
The once beautiful forest was now destroyed due to LBD's ice. There were fallen trees and the scent of decaying animals filled the forest. This had to be a get and go mission. Macaque found some sticks and while walking back to the dojo he had to use his teleportation because of the deadfall that was in his way.
He went back to the dojo and saw that Bei Da was still sleeping. He got rid of his shadow clone and started to set up the campfire. Once he had the fire going, he grabbed the first aid kit and went over to where Bei Da was sleeping. He put Bei Da's head on his lap and started to treat the bruise. He grabbed the instant ice pack from the first aid kit and put on the bruise. Bei Da started to shiver a bit. Macaque knew that this was going to take awhile...
Meanwhile with Sandy!
Sandy had offered MK to come over to his boat to talk, but MK declined it because he wanted a little bit of time to himself. So Sandy was in his living room drinking some Chamomile tea, thinking about the recent events that occurred lately.
"Mo, do you think I did the right thing?" He asked.
Mo meowed back and laid on Sandy's lap.
"Heh, silly Mo..." Sandy said, knowing that Mo can't respond back.
'What if I did the wrong thing? What if Macaque was taking care of this "Bean" girl and I only made things worse for them?' He thought to himself.
He started to get tired, so he finished his tea and gently got Mo off of his lap. Sandy went into his room and laid down on his bed. He tried going to sleep, but was having trouble. He just couldn't get over the fact that he might have made things worse for the black furred monkey and the girl. A few hours later, Sandy was able to drift off to sleep.
"I YELLED AT MONKEY KING'S FACE!"
