WARNING: TORTURE AND MURDER
Chapter Nineteen
Growing up, I was fine with living in Phoenix.
I was accustomed to the hum and drum of the desert filled city, to the clear but beautiful blue skylines.
I didn't expect anything too different when it came to Florida, there would be the same amount of heat that would be overwhelming. The sunny weather and beaches. There would be palm trees and sand that would always be in your crevices no matter how many times you tried to clean it off of you. You would be sunburnt if you didn't take care of your skin.
It was nightfall when the private jet the Volturi owned landed, and I got off of the plane with Jane and Alec behind me. They were wearing special prescription glasses, and the backstory was they had weak eyes that were sensitive to everything.
I myself was wearing sunglasses because it matched my aesthetic and no one who didn't want a death wish would come up to me to take off my sunglasses. We were all clustered together, close, and I had a duffle bag of clothes we would change into after we would commit the murders.
We had an old associate of ours leave their car for us at the airport and I climbed into the driver's seat while the twins got into the backseat together. People had looked at the twins with both disgusted but interested looks when they saw the twins were leaning into each other and touching each other more like lovers instead of siblings. I shot everyone around me looks that let them know they should try to come forward and make a comment about it, even if one couldn't see the look behind the sunglasses they would sure as hell feel it.
Checking the address, I was given to where Phil and Renee lived, I drove us in the direction of the said dream home of my mom and stepdad. I knew it would be frilly, I had seen pictures online of the house. Yellow paneling, white trims, flower boxes that had flowers in them that wouldn't grow (she'd blame it on the weather when in actuality it would be her fault). There would be the big, shady tree that would be in the front yard. The entrance to the private beach would be a mile away from them to the north, facing the house. There would be the cute carport that had decorations on the walls and beams, all of them nautical to keep up with the theme.
It didn't take too long for us to arrive in the gated community of Renee and Phil's neighborhood.
There were automatic gates that swung open and closed for those who had community passes or knew the password from the owners and renters, and we had managed to go through the gate door without having to give any information to the said keypad. We were riding on the back tail of a car but with my quick reflexes there would be no need for us to worry about me suddenly moving forward and hitting it, because it was nighttime.
Driving past the beachy houses, I rolled my eyes at the high-priced houses. I didn't know how Renee could afford to live here with Phil. Phil was a minor league baseball player and she was an elementary school teacher. Maybe Phil was a trust fund baby, and he was finally using the money since he had someone to spend the money with.
Arriving at the house, I wasn't surprised at all when it looked exactly as I imagined it would.
Alec and Jane scoffed behind me, neither of them seeming as though they were interested in the house their grandparents owned. They lived in a fucking castle, they were a prince and princess, and this beach house was a little hut compared to everything in their lives. It was just a reminder that this would be a mere memory in the future, nothing remarkable.
Getting out of the car door I closed the door quietly, making sure one couldn't even see the door open and close. Jane and Alec did the same exact thing as I did, and together we moved forward out of the motion detection lights. No one would know that we were here, we weren't letting our feet press against the grass hard enough that we would leave footprints. We didn't have any human DNA so there would be no way they could connect us to the murders.
Climbing up the side of the house to the attic, I opened the window and slipped in. Jane and Alec went with me, and we left the window cracked open. Downstairs we could hear the sound of bodies moving around on bedsheets. Just hints towards them sleeping but not being able to get comfortable enough to sleep. Something I would never have to deal with ever again.
Alec and Jane trailed after me, my little bats, and I wanted to go ahead and get started so I would get home back to Aro, Morticia, and Apep. There was no difference in breathing, but the delicious smell of blood that was pumping through them.
Entering the bedroom, I noted how everything was in gaudy tropical colors.
It was like one of those beach tourist shops had thrown up here. There were too many positive colors in this bedroom, it was an eyesore. It had so many different clashing patterns that were all based around the beach, and nothing made sense. Renee had never been that great with decorating and this right here proved how much she screwed things up with interior designing.
"Renee, I'm home. I brought the grandchildren with me."
Renee froze as she lay in that bed, her eyes popping open so she could look forward at the wall the bed was facing. Phil was still sleeping, but that shouldn't be surprising since he had always been a deep sleeper. It was kind of impressive she even heard me speak, my voice was so low I was almost certain that she wouldn't hear it.
"I don't know who you are but get out of my house. I don't have grandchildren. I don't even have a daughter," Renee slowly stated, keeping her voice calm and controlled. She also seemed as though she had expected something like this to happen.
"That's no way to treat your daughter, Renee. I traveled all the way across the ocean in order to see you again. I could have brought my newborn twins with me, but I promised these twins of mine that they would have the opportunity to meet you and Grandpa Phil."
Renee went to open her mouth only for me to appear in front of her. I placed my hand onto her mouth and clamped my fingers down. Her eyes widened and she couldn't even move her mouth enough to let out screams. I brought my other hand down and ran my long fingernails around her eyes, which made her shake some from the motion.
"You know, you have always had the ugliest shade of blue eyes. Your eye shape is all weird, and your eyes always are watery. It's a shame, really. I'm glad that I didn't inherit them, I would rather have had Charlie's eyes than yours," I remarked, noting in the corner of my eye Jane and Alec were heading to the other side of the bed where Phil had been sleeping.
I moved my hand over her nose too and made sure she passed out before I scooped her up. I motioned for Alec to use his Gift and he did so without hesitation. Jane pouted but she knew it would be best if she did not use her Gift for the time being because we didn't need to alert the neighbors around us. We needed to focus on killing Renee and Phil.
Carrying Renee, I went out of the room and downstairs, surprised when I saw that the house had a basement since they were mostly built into houses in the north. I went down the stairs without any issues, knowing that I wouldn't have to worry about having to do certain things differently because someone could look through their windows.
I gently laid Renee down onto the concrete ground, knowing if I just carelessly dropped her, she would instantly die.
That would have been a stupid, careless mistake on my part.
A missed opportunity, but thankfully I was too bloodthirsty and focused to not make the mistake. I had earned this, and I would make sure I would continue to earn every little blood conquest I wished for. This was the one that counted the most, the only one that made being a vampire even more delicious than the obvious sex I would have with Aro.
Once Phil had been basically thrown down hard enough for me to hear some of his bones break on impact, Alec took away his Gift from Phil and the man straightened up immediately. He looked at Alec and Jane first, confusion appearing upon his features at what he was seeing. He turned his head towards Renee, and quickly crawled over to where she was, checking her vitals and making sure she was still alive. Basically, doing all the husbandly duties he was supposed to do.
"Hello, Grandpa."
The minor league baseball player snapped his head up, confusion evident on his face. His eyes went back towards the twins before he turned his attention away from them and to me. His eyes widened when he saw me and he jumped up, ready to go after me only for Jane to step forward and shoot him with pain. He gasped and fell down onto the ground, his head tilting backwards and his mouth falling open, screaming in anguish.
I raised my hand up, silently, to tell Jane she could stop.
Jane nodded her head and let go of her Gift, which in return made sweat come dripping down the bald man's face.
He was breathing in hard, flinching from the soreness that came across his body.
He shot an angry glare at me, before speaking again, "I-I should have k-known it would be you. You psycho bitch! I knew you were a demon. Sold your soul to the Devil, didn't you? That is if there even was a soul for you to offer him."
"The Devil had my soul the moment I had reached puberty, and I could offer him much. I was rewarded greatly, after tricking some goody-two-shoe vampire family that only drank animals into accepting me. I had to play by their rules, be the dutiful girlfriend of their prodigal son…got broken up by him months later. Met my darling Alec and Jane while murdering a homeless man in Port Angeles. Fast forward some months, and I have given birth to my own set of twins, Morticia and Apep…."
I glanced around me, noting that there were some tools that were around me.
There was a workstation that was in the corner of the basement and without hesitation pulled some items off of the shelf above the workstation. Coming back over, I offered some of the weapons to Jane and Alec but the both of them shook their heads.
Groaning came from Renee. She was finally waking up.
She slowly sat upright, dragging her body with her, and rubbed her head. She let her eyes flicker over to Phil and went to hug him only for her to let out a high screech as her head tilted back and her eyes rolled to the back of her head. She clawed at the ground around her. She moved around as she was being possessed by a demon.
"Jane…leave your grandmother alone. I believe you and your brother will have plenty of fun with Grandpa Phil. Don't be greedy, you need to share," I merely stated, as a wayward comment. It was to be taken seriously though; they could tell from the tone of my voice that it was actually a serious thing for me to say.
The twins nodded their heads, and I motioned for them to continue forward to their step grandpa.
They gave me warm smiles; happy they were able to participate as I had promised them.
I dismissed the screaming that came from Phil next to me as they started the process of torturing him before eventually killing him ruthlessly, he wasn't who I was focused on. My attention was on the bitch that had given birth to me.
The first thing I did was grab the nails and the hammer that were gathered together in a pile next to me. I placed a nail upon the top of one of her hands and began to nail her hand into the concrete below. I picked up another nail and went to her other hand, where I nailed it to the concrete below. I did the same thing with each finger that was twitching. Every single one of them crunched as a nail went through their knuckle bones.
Tears were flowing down her cheekbones, and she sobbed as she looked at me.
There was so much anger that was across her face, and her eyes couldn't help but look over to where Phil was. I really couldn't care less what the twins were doing, for all I knew they were skinning the man alive. I just wanted him dead; it didn't have to be exaggerated or dragged on. She was staring at him with an intensity, as though she thought she could heal him with her own eyes.
"Alright, let's see here. We have some trimmers for yard work. Sprucing up the bushes. Except, you never have had a good green thumb, have you, Renee? I'm certain that you've had your trust fund husband pay some gardeners," I remarked before I took her head and turned her to make her look at me. She tried to spit at me, but her mouth was cotton dry.
Opening her mouth, she stayed still as I began to yank out her teeth.
Each tooth that came out landed in a plink on the concrete next to me.
It made me laugh some inwardly, as though I was a twisted demoness that feasted on pulled teeth. A horror twist to the tooth fairy more like it. Then again, I had always been someone who was more into Grimm stories than the stupid fluffy Disney ones.
Eventually, every single tooth of hers had been pulled and the teeth were covered in spit and blood. A disgusting mixture but nothing for me to bat my eyelashes at. It was just a background color, like paint that had splotched onto the ground.
Finally, I put one of my hands over her right eye.
Renee began to shake her head, as though she wanted to let me know she had enough for all of this.
She just wanted me to kill her.
I grabbed her by the sides of her head and pressed in enough for her to stop shaking, realizing that if she didn't continue letting me torture her, she would have her head completely crushed inwards due to my vampiric strength.
I stroked the side of her cheek and bent down to kiss her on the cheek. She stiffened once more, as though she expected me to bite into her skin and yank out a piece of her face.
I wasn't interested in doing that, though I wouldn't have been surprised if my diabolical older twins did some cannibalism towards Phil. They enjoyed feasting on people like they were a five-star meal. They always left people picked off like vultures.
I scooped out each of her eyes, blood oozing out of her eye holes.
Her retinas were still attached to her eyes, but I yanked them out. I tucked them into a small baggie I had in my duffle bag and closed it up. I would make sure to put her eyes into formalin. I would keep them forever, a little memento for this moment.
Renee twitched and I put my hands on either side of her throat and snapped her neck.
She had her head tilt to the side, limp.
I stood up and gave one last look at the corpse of my mother before I turned and looked over at Phil. I wasn't surprised when I saw that he was indeed skinned alive, there was only muscle that was left. It made me happy and extremely proud of my eldest twins.
We changed into new clothes after taking showers upstairs, all the while glad that I had satisfied my greatest joy.
I had wanted to kill Renee so long that it was still kind of surprising I had just killed my own mother. I had imagined doing it so many ways, all of it more intense than before. It made me feel so much better, freer than I had ever thought I could be.
Arriving back to the castle I entered through the part of the castle that was only meant for the vampires and not for the humans. I went up the winding stairs to the tower and was welcomed with Athenodora loving her niece and nephew.
Her face was so happy, she was a lot more relaxed, she might have never cared to have children of her own, but she was glad that the twins had survived the childbirth and pregnancy.
Now she could be with her niece and nephew, though she had always loved Jane and Alec.
It was different when she had Morticia and Apep though, for they came from both me and Aro.
They hadn't been bitten and came into the family that way.
"It's done."
Athenodora turned and looked at me, her face beaming even more when she saw the content on my face. She nodded her head. She didn't say anything, just motioned for me to come over and play with my youngest children.
I went over to them and scooped up both of my children, kissing them on their heads, knowing Jane and Alec were celebrating in their own way.
It was best to let them be with themselves, enraptured with each other.
Sometimes it would take a whole day for them to leave their bedroom, but as long as they were happy then it didn't matter to me how they celebrated with each other.
I had started to rock the children to sleep when Aro came into the tower parlor.
His gaze softened when he saw the children going to sleep. He came over to us and kissed each of us on the forehead before motioning for me to put them into their cribs that were in our bedroom.
Once I sat them into their cribs, I trailed after Aro and went down the different corridors and staircases. We stopped and went down to where the gazebo was outside, the wind was perfect, and the weather wasn't too hot nor too cold. There was a round dining table that was sitting in the middle of the gazebo, wisteria was climbing the columns and made it look even more whimsical.
There were two chairs that were pushed to the table, they were white wrought iron that were detailed with flowers and vines. Aro pulled the chair back for me that was meant for me, and I sat down. He pulled the chair back in its original spot for me.
"My darling girl, I wanted to spend some quality time with you. Apep and Morticia needed to get some naps in. It also gives me the opportunity to ask you something important…"
Aro reached into the pocket of his trousers and pulled out a ring box, and my heart fell down into my stomach. I couldn't believe this would happen, but I knew it would eventually come to this. I didn't expect this to happen so fast, but it made sense. There was nothing that was an obstacle anymore, I would be able to marry him.
He opened the black velvet box, and I gasped as my hands went up to cover my mouth.
I couldn't believe what I was seeing.
It was so beautiful, a gothic person's dream engagement ring. I knew it would look perfect on my matrimony finger, signaling that this was serious between Aro and I.
It wasn't just something that we were trying out, I wasn't just some consort of his that would provide him with children when he asked for one.
The ring had a blood moon stone in the middle with a rose cut black diamond on the sides.
The middle band of three bans had two crescent moons that were nestled against the blood stone.
The top ring was black stones that were stacked up into a triangle as was an opposite triangle at the bottom of the ring. The bands were silver.
"Isabella Marie Swan, my demoness, my goddess, will you do me the great honor of marrying me?" Aro probed me, his crimson eyes showing patience.
He could wait how long it would take me to give him an answer, but I couldn't help but already give him one.
I grabbed the table and threw it off to the side, flinching some when it crashed against the railing of the gazebo and made some of it become debris. I climbed onto his lap and grabbed the side of his face before giving him a lude kiss, one that when I pulled my lips away from him there was spit that was between us in a string.
"Yes, I will marry you."
Aro smiled widely, his angelic features becoming even more beautiful when he saw the reaction, he had received from me. He placed the ring onto my ring before he scooped me up in his arms since I was still on his lap and spun us around. I laughed carefree, for once I felt like a normal bride that was experiencing the bliss of being engaged.
Caius and Athenodora were more than thrilled at me officially becoming a part of the family, through marriage. I was already part of their family when I had become a vampire but now, I could take my place as a queen and the wife of Aro. I wasn't just a consort that had given him children, and he would decide he would get tired of me one day so he would get rid of me.
Jane and Alec beamed and hugged the both of us, content with what had happened.
Not only did they get to have their mother and father engaged to be married but they also got to go on the bonding trip with me. I kissed them on their cheeks and hugged them hard enough that they had to tap on my arm to have me let them go (I had to remember that I was almost two months old when it came to my vampirism and the first year would be the toughest for me).
I didn't tell any of the guards of the engagement, but I did create invitation cards with Aro in order for us to send them off to the covens that were on good terms with us. I was tempted to send one to the Cullens but knew the last thing I wanted to see was both Edward and the seven-member golden eyed family that shunned their true sides.
As Apep and Morticia began to talk to all of us vocally and could walk like toddlers instead of crawling like infants I never felt more normal than before. My vampirism had cured me of my mental illness, but I also got to torture/murder Renee. I was engaged to be married. Things were good, and in six months' time I would get married to Aro.
AUTHOR'S NOTE: I hope you enjoyed this chapter as much I was writing it.
I have gotten to watching T.V. while writing, things I've watched before. Mostly horror movies. Horror is my favorite movie genre.
as always: Twilight doesn't belong to me.
