Roci, The Pirate Hunter, and The Rubber Idiot-A One Piece Story

Sixteen years ago, an old woman named Magdalena used the power of the Stork-Stork Fruit to create twin children using the DNA of Donquixote Rosinante and Bell-mere.

The twin children of the two former Marines grew up on different seas and lived different lives.

This story is about the older twin, Felix Rocinante, and how a fateful encounter with two unique individuals changed the course of his life forever.

Chapter 1: SOS

"Roci! Roci!"

Donquixote Felix Rocinante tore his gaze away from his mother's grave to see his mischievous older sister walking towards him.

"Arlong finally let you out of your cage?" He scoffed.

"More or less," Nami replied, sitting beside Felix. "I'm setting sail again to get more beris."

"Do you have to?"

"Yes. I need to get 100 million beris to buy this village back from Arlong. I'm almost there, Roci. I just need to do this one last heist and we have it!"

"Arlong is not going to leave Cocoyashi." Felix argued. "Even if you come up with the money tomorrow, he's gonna find a way to keep you., Nami."

"He gave me his word!" Nami exclaimed. "He says that he doesn't go back on his word."

"Still, I don't trust him. Why don't you ask Genzo or Takashi for help?"

"I'm not going to put them, you, Nojiko or anybody else in danger. This is a fight I have to deal with."

"But you don't have to deal with this by yourself. Mom wouldn't want you struggle like this."

Nami pursed her lips as she shifted her gaze to Bell-mere's grave. "She sacrificed herself to save us. I can't let that go unrepaid."

"There has to be a better way than this, Nami."

Nami turned back to her little brother and ruffled his moppy strawberry blonde hair. "Your hair's getting longer, Roci." She smiled sadly. "You're trying to be like your sensei?"

"Nah, I just hadn't had time to cut it. I take it you're not just here to tell me that you're leaving."

Nami smiled as she handed Felix a medium sized box. "Happy 16th birthday, Felix Rocinante." She cheered.

Felix's reddish brown eyes grew wide as he took the box from his sister. He ripped open the wrapping and got a papercut in the process (Felix is Corazon's son after all, he's clumsy as the day is long). Nami shook her head in amusement.

"Such a klutz-ball." She laughed.

"Shut up." Felix muttered. He opened the box and took out a purple iron fan. It was almost similar to the one Takashi has hanging in the dojo; the only difference was that this one had gray swirls. Felix looked at the fan in awe.

"Nami, where'd you get this?" He asked.

"I stole it off some ship in the South Blue."

"Seriously?" Felix deadpanned.

"What? They were gonna sell it anyways." Nami reasoned. "I'd figured that you would put it to better use. Nojiko told me that you're excelling under Takashi's tutelage."

"Thanks. Oh, I almost forgot."

Felix took out a small box from his pants pocket and attempted to give it to Nami but the box slipped from his hand and hit his sister in the head.

"OW!" Nami exclaimed.

"Sorry, Nami." Felix apologized.

"Good thing it wasn't a rock." Nami picked up the small box and opened it. When she did, her eyes watered up. "Roci, is this what I think it is?"

Felix nodded. "That's Mom's hairclip. The one Dad gave her when they first started dating."

"I thought Bell-mere lost this clip years ago. How did you find it?"

"Well, I was cleaning out Mom's room last week and I found this under her bed. It was a little scratched up, so I took it to Doc to have it restored."

"Roci, I can't accept this." Nami objected. "Bell-mere wasn't my real mother."

"You and Nojiko are just as much Bell-mere's daughters as I am her son." Felix declared. "You lived with her longer than I have. She didn't even know I existed until I was three. Whatever the case, if Mom was still alive and she found the hairclip, she would've given it to you."

Nami threw her arms around Felix, hugging him tight.

"Thanks, little bro." She cried.

"Happy 18th birthday, big sis." Felix smiled.

They stayed in their embrace for two minutes before reluctantly pulling away.

"I better go. I want to get a head start before it gets dark."

"Be careful out there, Nami."

The orange-haired teen stood up and walked to the docks. I'm always careful, Roci." She smirked.

After Nami left, Felix said goodbye to his mother and walked back to the village. He almost reached the dojo when his path was blocked by one of Arlong's pirate crew: Dama.

"What are you doing out this time of night, clumsy boy?" The fishman sneered. "We have a curfew, you know?"

"Which starts at 10:00. It's 6:00 pm." Felix pointed out. "What do you want, Dama?"

"Are you headed to the dojo?"

"Yeah, what's it to you?"

"I was hoping I could pop in for a visit. Tonight was stressful and I'm in need of your services."

"The dojo is closed, Dama. Come back tomorrow."

Felix started to walk away when Dama grabbed his arm.

"Did it sound like I was asking, little boy?" He growled. "Don't make me teach you the same lesson I taught you eight years ago. Remember how you got that cute little scar on your face?"

Dama pointed to a scar on Felix's right cheek. The young boy flinched at the touch.

"I don't need you to remind me of the worst day of my life." Felix said in a low voice.

"Then satisfy me tonight then."

"I will never entertain you or Arlong even if the dojo is open for business!" Felix spat, yanking his arm from Dama's grasp. "So, come back tomorrow and get the hell out of my face or I'll kill you with my bare hands!"

"Insolent Little Brat!" Dama roared. He raised his hand to strike Felix but was held back by eight arms.

"Dama, leave him alone!" Hatchi, the octopus fishman intervened. "We're not supposed to hurt him!"

"Arlong is not supposed to hurt this brat. His mother didn't say anything about us. We're fair game!" Dama argued.

"I'm not going to let you put your hands on Roci, now leave him alone!"

"Why are you being so nice to human filth, Hatchi?!"

"Is everything all right here?"

Dama, Felix and Hatchi turned to see Takashi, the resident Geisha (or Taikomochi) walking up to the group. He was wearing casual pants and a loose-fitting beige tunic. His black hair was tied in a ponytail and his face was still youthful but showed signs of aging. Takashi also had a scar on his right eye from where Arlong slashed him eight years ago. Even though it didn't render him blind, Takashi had to wear corrective eyeglasses for the rest of his life.

"Everything is fine, Mr. Takashi." Hatchi said, bowing respectfully. "Dama is having a bad day and wanted to go to the dojo."

"I wanted the boy to satisfy me," Dama complained. "He refused."

"It's well within Roci's right to refuse services, Dama." Takashi explained. "Besides, I do not provide the services you usually ask for. And even if I did, Roci is too young for that."

"No, I'm not!" Felix objected.

"If I say you're too young, you're too young. Now shut it!" Takashi gritted. After Felix promptly shut his mouth, Takashi turned back to the two Fishmen. "Nevertheless, I closed the dojo early to commemorate a special anniversary, so you'll have to come tomorrow morning at 9 AM. Sounds good?"

"Of course, Mr. Takashi!" Hatchi smiled. "We'll come back tomorrow, right Dama?"

Dama rolled his eyes and sighed. "Fine, then. This stupid conversation killed my buzz anyway. This isn't over, little boy." Dama stormed off, muttering curses on his way to Arlong Park.

"I'm sorry again, Mr. Takashi." Hatchi apologized.

"Ah, don't worry about it Hatchi." Takashi waved it off. "Dama is a hotheaded pervert, it's not your fault. You want some tea or something?"

"No thanks, I have night watch anyway. But I'll come back tomorrow with some Takoyaki for you."

"You're a Fishman after my own heart, Hatchi." Takashi smiled.

"Oh, nuu- I almost forgot!" Hatchi pulled out a box from his bag and gave it to Felix. "I heard today was your birthday, Roci. So, I made some special Takoyaki with plum sauce."

Felix couldn't help but smile. He hated Arlong and his crew with a passion. Not only did they take over his beloved village but they were also responsible for his mother, Bell-mere's death. But Hatchi was nothing like Arlong or any of his crew. He was kind, sweet, albeit a little dim. Out of all the members of the Fishman Pirates, Hatchi was the only one Felix truly liked.

"Thanks, Hatchi." Felix thanked, taking the box. "I haven't eaten since this morning so, this is nice. And thanks for protecting me from Dama. I know it may get you into trouble with Arlong."

"It's no big deal." Hatchi shrugged. "I never liked how Dama treats you anyway. Well, I'd better get going. Good night, fellas. Enjoy the Takoyaki!"

Felix waved at Hatchi as he walked back to Arlong Park. He then felt Takashi take the box of snacks from his hand. "Hey, those are mine!" He whined.

"And you'll get them once we get inside." Takashi said.

"What, you're afraid that I'm gonna drop them?" Felix scoffed. "I'm not that clumsy, Sensei Kashi."

Two seconds later, Felix tripped on his feet and fell flat on his face (just LIKE his daddy). Takashi held back his laughter.

"Whatever you say, kid." He snickered.

Takashi poured some tea while Felix was eating his Takoyaki in silence. The taikomochi noticed his protégé being uncharacteristically quiet and ruffled his hair.

"You need a haircut." He observed.

"Is that the only thing people are noticing these days?" Felix scoffed.

"Someone said something about your hair?"

"Yeah, Nami."

"Oh, when did you see her?"

"This afternoon while I was visiting Mom's grave. She gave me my birthday present and told me that she was going back out to sea."

"Well, that's good. At least you got to see her."

Felix was still looking despondent and it concerned Takashi even more.

"You okay, Roci? If you're worried about Dama harassing you again, I can ask Hatchi to tell him to stop messing with you."

"It's not that. I'm worried about Nami."

"Oh. Your sister is a tough girl, Roci. She can handle herself. Besides, she's really close to getting 100 million beris."

"We both know that Arlong is never gonna let Nami go." Felix argued. "I don't care if he 'prides himself as a man who keeps his word,' we're not gonna be out of his clutches unless we do something."

"So, you're gonna fight Arlong yourself?" Takashi countered. "You can't win against fishmen. Genzo's scars, my scars and your mother's grave are not proof enough for you?"

"I know we can't win against them, Sensei. But if I can just go out to find someone who can…"

"No."

"Sensei."

"You know the consequences of leaving Cocoyashi Village without Arlong's permission. You want Nami's hard work to be for nothing? You want Nojiko to lose another family member?"

"I'll be careful. I've mastered the Calm-Calm fruit ability, I can leave this island undetected."

"'Mastered' is a strong word." Takashi remarked. "You've gotten better at using your father's Devil Fruit power but you're still kinda clumsy with it."

"And that's your only objection?"

"That and I don't want you killed. Now you are not leaving Cocoyashi, end of discussion."

Felix rolled his eyes and sighed. "Fine, whatever."

Takashi rubbed Felix's back soothingly. "We'll find a way to get out of this mess, Roci." He assured softly. "Even if it takes us another eight years to do it."

"That's the problem, Takashi. I don't wanna wait another eight years. I'm going to bed, don't really feel like celebrating my birthday this year. Did you take your eyedrops?"

"Not yet."

"I'll go get them." Felix stood up and left the main room to go to the bathroom to get Takashi's medicine. Takashi got up and collected the dishes from the table when he heard a knock at the door.

"We're closed." He shouted.

Open the door, Takashi. It's us.

Takashi smirked at the demanding voice as he opened the door to let Genzo and Nojiko inside.

"What are you guys doing here?" He asked. "Not that I'm complaining."

"We just came to drop off Roci's birthday presents." Nojiko replied.

"Yeah, where is our clumsy birthday boy?" Genzo asked.

Two seconds later, a loud crash from the bathroom startled everyone. Takashi shook his head in amusement. "You're good there, kid?" He called out.

"I'm okay!" Felix yelled back. "I just tripped on the shelf….and knocked down your figurines."

"Did you break any of them?"

"….Nooooo."

Takashi sighed in exasperation. "He broke at least two of them."

"Is Roci okay?" Nojiko asked.

"Yeah, he's still sad about Nami." Takashi replied.

"Is he still sprouting that nonsense about leaving the island to get help?" Genzo asked.

"Genzo!" Nojiko admonished.

"It's not really nonsense, Genzo." Takashi reasoned. "Now, teaching him the Thousand Crane Technique, that's nonsense."

"Either way, Roci should get the notion of leaving Cocoyashi out of his head."

"And why's that, Genzo?" Felix asked, walking up to the trio. "You think I'm not cut out for it?"

"You know why, Roci." Genzo replied. "I'm not going over this again. This is for your own good."

"You know what I wish that everyone would stop telling me what's good for me or what's best for me!" Felix snapped. "Like I'm not mature enough to make my own decisions."

"None of us think that Roci." Nojiko assured.

"We know that you can take care of yourself." Takashi added.

"Then why won't you let me sail out to get help?! Fishmen may be stronger but they're not invincible. I'll find someone who can beat them."

"And what would happen if you'd found someone who might be strong enough to defeat Arlong and his crew?" Genzo countered. "The same thing that happens every time a Navy ship or outsiders come to visit: Arlong destroys their ships, eliminating them on the spot. And that small beacon of hope we have of ever being free is gone. That's our lot in life, Roci. You have to accept it."

"Just because you can accept this fate, doesn't mean I can." Felix gritted. "My sister is out there stealing this money to buy our freedom that Arlong will never give! I refuse to sit around and do nothing! I'm going to get help, one way or another. "

"You will do no such thing! Your mother entrusted me to take care of you and your sisters before she died and as long as I'm alive, you will stay in this village!"

"YOU DON'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO, YOU'RE NOT MY FATHER!"

"Felix Rocinante!" Takashi scolded.

Felix's reddish brown eyes grew wide and exhaled deeply. He saw the shocked, anguished look on Genzo's face and it broke his heart. Takashi saw the pained look in Felix's eyes and pulled him into a comforting embrace. The young boy didn't do anything but let his sensei hold him.

"I didn't…" Felix shuddered, tears streaming down his eyes. "I didn't mean it…"

"Shh, I know, kid. I know." Takashi shushed. "It's okay. Why don't you get some sleep, yeah? It's been a long day."

Felix nodded sadly as he broke his embrace with Takashi. "Here's your eyedrops." He said, handing Takashi his medicine.

"Can you take your brother to his room, please, while I talk to Genzo?" Takashi asked Nojiko.

The 20-year-old woman nodded as she gently took Felix by the hand and led him to his room. Once Takashi confirmed that Nojiko and Felix retreated to Felix's room, he came over to Genzo and wrapped his arms around him. Genzo basically melted in Takashi's embrace, crying softly.

"You know Roci didn't mean what he said, Genzy." Takashi whispered.

"I know, it's just…I feel like a failure." Genzo wept.

"You're doing the best you can with Bell-mere's kids. But they're grown now. You have to let them go eventually."

"Roci is still a minor. I got time."

"Roci is also stubborn like his mother. That's the only thing he inherited from her besides her looks."

Genzo pulled himself away from Takashi's arms. "I just don't want Roci to get hurt. He's Bell-mere's miracle child if anything were to happen to him…"

Takashi shushed Genzo and gently wiped his tears. "Don't let your mind go there, Genzo, you'll drive yourself crazy." He admonished. " Besides, we know how special Roci is, we can't keep him cooped up in Cocoyashi forever."

"But we can try."

Takashi chuckled as he placed a soft kiss on Genzo's lips. "Do you want to stay over tonight at the dojo?"

"No, I don't want to upset Roci anymore than he already is." Genzo objected. "Can you come over to my place tonight?"

"To the Police Office?" Takashi smirked. "Ooh, scandalous. Have I been naughty?"

"Please don't make this awkward, Kashi."

Takashi laughed and kissed Genzo again. "I'll let Roci know and pack some overnight clothes. I'll see you later, okay?"

"Don't be late or I'll charge you by the hour." Genzo teased.

"Please, you can't afford me honey." Takashi teased back.

Meanwhile, Nojiko was in Felix's bathroom, filling a glass with water. Her younger brother had just calmed down from crying and she wanted to make sure that he was properly hydrated. She came over to Felix and sat on the side of his bed.

"Here, drink this." She told him. "You don't want to get dehydrated."

Felix sat up on his bed, took the glass from Nojiko and took a slow sip. "I didn't mean it, Nojiko." He rasped. "I didn't mean to say that to Genzo."

"I know you didn't, Roci." Nojiko reassured softly. "And Genzo knows you didn't mean it either. We're just trying to look out for you."

"Just because I'm a Devil Fruit Child doesn't mean I'm fragile. You don't think I haven't thought of the consequences and repercussions? That I don't know the risks of leaving Cocoyashi Village? I've thought about this since I was 12."

"I know you thought about this, but you gotta understand where Genzo is coming from. He watched Bell-mere grow up, watched her die and basically raised us. He didn't have to do that, you know."

"I know that. And I also know that Genzo wouldn't leave Cocoyashi Village even if there was a slim chance of help." Felix took another sip of water before giving the glass back to Nojiko. "There's a Navy base on the next island, I can go there."

"What if Arlong finds out?" Nojiko asked. "He'll kill you."

"Not if I leave before dawn."

Nojiko was about to retort when she was interrupted by a knock on the door. "Hey, can I come in?" Takashi's voice echoed.

"Yeah, sure." Felix replied.

Takashi entered the room and came over to the siblings, sitting beside Felix on the bed. "Feeling better, kid?" He asked.

"Yeah, I guess." Felix shrugged. "Where's Genzo?"

"He went home, didn't wanna upset you. I'm going to spend the night over there, I just wanted to let you know."

"Thanks. Make sure you use protection."

Takashi gawked. "Excuse you?! Since when did I become the horny teenager and you the responsible adult?!"

"Sensei…" Felix warned, giving the older man a look.

"I'll pack some condoms in my bag." Takashi muttered.

"Thank you."

"I really don't want to hear about Genzo and Takashi's love life right now." Nojiko grimaced. "I'm going back to the house. I need your help with harvesting some tangerines tomorrow morning, Roci. Can you come bright and early?"

"Yeah, might as well get up at the ass crack of dawn for something." Felix replied.

Nojiko laughed. "I promise you it'll be worth it." She reassured, kissing Felix's forehead. "Get some rest, I'll see you tomorrow."

"I'll walk you home, Nojiko." Takashi offered. To Felix, he said: "It's gonna be okay, Roci. Don't worry so much."

"Thanks, Sensei Takashi." Felix nodded.

Takashi and Nojiko smiled at Felix before leaving his room. After grabbing his go bag, the Tessenjutsu master walked Nojiko to her house before going to Genzo's. The two walked in silence for a while before Takashi broke it.

"Didn't you harvest the tangerines last week?" He asked Nojiko.

"No, I don't think so." Nojiko objected.

"Yes, you did. I specifically remember because both me, Roci and Genzo helped you out. You're going to help your brother leave Cocoyashi Village, aren't you?" When Nojiko didn't respond, Takashi sighed. "Nojiko, are you crazy?"

"Look, I know this is a bad idea, but Roci is not going to give up on this no matter how hard we try to stop him." Nojiko reasoned.

"And you think that providing him with a boat is gonna help? What if he gets caught or worse?"

"I've thought about this for a while, Takashi. Roci is not a typical teenager, he has special abilities. I really believe he can save this village. He'll find someone who can take on Arlong."

"What if he doesn't?"

"We'll cross that bridge when we get there, but I believe in Roci. He'll find someone to defeat Arlong. And I know you believe in him too, Takashi."

"Why do you say that?"

"Because you would've ratted me out to Genzo by now."

Takashi blushed furiously. "That…my relationship with Genzo has nothing to do with it. I just don't want to get implicated in this. So, as far as I'm concerned, I didn't hear anything, nor do I know anything."

Nojiko smiled and wrapped her arms around Takashi's waist. "Aw, you're such a softie, Kashi."

"Yeah, yeah, yeah." Takashi grumbled. (He was low-key smiling though)

The next morning, Felix was trudging his way to Bell-mere's house when he was stopped by Nojiko.

"Aww, you came to pick me up for work?" He greeted sleepily. "You're such a caring big sister."

"Very funny, Roci." Nojiko deadpanned, tossing Felix a knapsack. "Let's go before Arlong's morning crew get here."

"Morning crew? Wait, where are we going?"

"To the docks."

Felix stood there frozen in shock as Nojiko sprinted to the nearby dock.

"Hurry up!" She called out.

"Uh…yeah." Felix replied as he ran to follow his sister.

Once they got to the docks, Nojiko led Felix to a small boat.

"Take this boat, no one will notice it's missing. I packed some rations for a two-week trip. Try to come back within that time; if not, try being at least two days late. I can probably make up an excuse."

"Hold up, what's going on Nojiko?" Felix demanded. "I thought I was supposed to help you with the harvest."

"It was a lie to get Arlong off your back." Nojiko explained. "I'm helping you leave Cocoyashi so you can get some help."

"Does Genzo know about this?"

"No, but Takashi does. He wanted me to give this to you."

Nojiko handed Felix a purple and gold iron fan-the same one that hung on the wall at the dojo. He looked at his sister, tears welling up in his eyes.

"Why are you doing this? You could get in trouble."

"I know. But I also know what Bell-mere always said about you and Norah: that you two were born in this world to do great things. You're special, Felix Rocinante. Not only because you're a Devil Fruit Child, but because you have extraordinary abilities. It won't do you any good for us to keep you here."

"You really believe that I can find someone who'll help us?"

Nojiko smiled. "I know you can."

Felix pulled Nojiko into an embrace, resting his head on the crook of her neck. The older girl chuckled softly as she ran her hands through Felix's hair.

"Please be careful." Nojiko whispered.

"I'm always careful." Felix replied.

"Says the boy who can't go ten minutes without falling on his face."

Felix broke his embrace and looked at Nojiko in mock offense. "Give me some credit, Noji. I can go ten minutes without falling." Felix grabbed his knapsack and proceeded to head to the boat. Then he tripped on a rock, tumbled down and fell in the water. Nojiko laughed hysterically at the comedic sight before her. A few seconds later, Felix emerged from the water, soaked. He hoisted himself on the boat but not before giving his sister a death glare.

"It's not funny." He frowned.

"Yeah, it is." Nojiko laughed. "It's a good thing you can swim."

Felix shook his head and untied the boat from the dock. He then grabbed the oars and proceeded to sail away.

"I'll come back as soon as I can." He promised. "Apologize to Genzo for me."

Nojiko simply smiled and waved as she watched Felix sail away from Cocoyashi Village. "Please be safe, Felix." She whispered, tears falling down her eyes.

Felix Rocinante had been out at sea for almost two weeks now, but he had no luck in finding someone strong enough to take on Arlong. He sailed through each island and port in the East Blue but no one was bold enough to face a pirate crew full of fishmen. Felix was about to give up when a kind old blacksmith gave him a sliver of hope. (Emphasis on the sliver)

"If you're looking for someone to best Arlong, then you should seek the Pirate Hunter."

"The Pirate Hunter?" Felix repeated. "You mean Roronoa Zoro?" The man nodded. "Why should I look for him?"

"Because he's an infamous bounty hunter. I thought that'd be obvious."

"Well yeah, but that guy's a walking demon. There are stories about him."

The old man simply chuckled. "I'd say a demon is the perfect person to take on a fishman."

"Okay, so where do I find him?"

"Don't really know. Next island, I think?"

(And that's why it was a sliver and not a beacon.)

"Gee, thanks for your help, old man." Felix said, rolling his eyes.

While sailing to the next island, Felix came across large ship with a duck as a sail.

"The Miss Love Duck? What're the Alvida Pirates doing here?"

Felix was so distracted by the large ship, that he didn't see the random barrel floating in the middle of the ocean and crashed his boat into it. Felix didn't even realize what was happening until he felt water filling up the boat.

"Aw, damn it!" He cursed, grabbing his fans and knapsack. "Why is a barrel in the middle of the ocean anyway?" Then curiosity got the better of Felix. "Hmm, I wonder if there's food in there. I'm running low on rations, this could be my lifesaver."

But before Felix could grab the barrel and examine it, two members of Alvida's crew descended from the ship and grabbed the barrel. He went underwater before the men could see him.

"Geez, this barrel is heavy!" One crewmember lamented.

"Hey, that might be a good thing." The other crew member said. "More booze!"

The two men laughed as they hoisted the barrel up the ship. Felix waited until the pirates left before emerging to the surface.

"It's a good thing I'm not weakened by the sea. If my rations weren't low, I would leave that barrel with them but I won't make it to the next island on an empty stomach." Felix put his fans in his kimono jacket and his knapsack over his shoulder. "Now, what word do I use to create a bubble around myself? Oh, that's right.-Felix lightly tapped his chest- "Calm."

A grey bubble formed around Felix and he swam up to Alvida's ship, climbing the anchor rope to the top. When he got to the deck, he saw Alvida, an enormously large woman, harassing a terrified chubby kid with pink hair and round purple glasses.

"Chore Boy!" Alvida yelled. "Why are you slacking on the job?!"

"I-I'm not slacking off, Miss Alvida." The boy apologized. "I'm just scraping the fungus off the mast. I'm doing my work, honest!"

"Well, get this barrel down to the pantry! We're gonna have some fine booze tonight after we raid that cruise ship!"

Felix looked to his left and sure enough, there was a cruise ship headed in the direction of the Miss Love Duck.

"Koby!"

Alvida's outburst snapped Felix's attention back to the repulsive woman and her utterly frightened chore boy.

"Who's the most beautiful woman in all of the East Blue?"

"Y-you are, Miss Alvida!" Koby stuttered.

"And don't you forget it!" Alvida shouted, kicking the poor boy in the butt with her mace club. Koby scurried away to the mess hall, rubbing his sore bottom in the process. Felix merely shook his head.

"It's a damn shame." He lamented. "Poor kid is just letting the East Blue's fattest wench walk all over him. I don't have time to speculate right now. I need to get that barrel and get off this ship."

Felix made his way downstairs to the mess hall and saw the chore boy rolling a barrel into the pantry. The same barrel he was looking for.

"Gotcha." Felix turned off his power and walked up to the chore boy known as Koby. "Yo, Chore Boy. I got a bone to pick with you. That barrel belongs to me."

Koby was so startled by Felix's presence, he dropped the barrel and it rolled away…right into Felix's direction. The Tessenjutsu apprentice tried to jump over the barrel but he lost his footing and fell flat on his face. Koby gasped and ran over to Felix's side.

"Oops, sorry!" He apologized. "Are you alright, Mister?"

Felix rubbed his head and looked at Koby like he was crazy. "Mister? I am 16-years-old , little boy!"

"No way, you're 16? We're the same age!"

"Stop lying."

"No, honest." Koby said. "My birthday is May 13th."

"Aw, come on! You're older than me?!" Felix groaned. "You look like a 9-year-old."

"Yeah…I come from a line of late bloomers. Anyway, my name is Koby."

"Um…Roci, nice to meet you. Love to stay and chat but I need to take this barrel, find another boat and find someone named Roronoa Zoro."

Felix started to leave the pantry when Koby stopped him. "Roronoa Zoro?!" He exclaimed. "Why do you want to find the Pirate Hunter?"

"Because the Pirate Hunter is going to help me liberate my village."

Before Koby could reply, the door to the pantry swung open.

"Hey! What's going on here?!"

Felix and Koby shrieked as they turned to see three members of the Alvida Pirates storming up to them.

"Hey guys!" Felix chuckled nervously. "What's up?"

"Who the hell are you?!" The first pirate demanded.

"What are you doing on Miss Alvida's ship?!" The second pirate added.

"Oh, I'm just here to visit your chore boy, he's a really good friend of mine." Felix explained.

The pirates looked at each other in confusion. "You know our chore boy?" The third pirate asked.

"Yeah!" Felix replied. "We go way back, don't we Cody?"

"Koby." The chore boy whispered.

"Koby!" Felix repeated. "Yeah, it's been three years since we last saw each other."

"You know this twink, Koby?" The second pirate demanded.

"Excuse you?!" Felix gawked, offended.

"Of course, I do!" Koby interjected. "We grew up in the same village and did everything together. Right, Riley?"

"Roci." Felix corrected. "But yeah, he's right. We did everything together."

"I don't care if you two knew each other or not, Miss Alvida doesn't take kindly to stowaways. You of all people should know that Koby." The first pirate sneered. "You're coming with us."

The three pirates cornered the two boys. Koby cowered behind Felix as the strawberry blonde boy began to pull out his tessen fans to fight. Suddenly, the barrel in front of them broke open and a young, raven-haired boy with a straw hat popped out. Everyone screamed in shock.

"YEAH! I SLEPT SOOOOOO GREAT!" The straw hat boy shouted jovially.

Felix looked at the new visitor in shock. "What in the actual hell?!"

The straw hat boy looked around and smiled: "Hey, does anyone know where to get some food around here? I'm hungry. Shishishsihsi."
