Hi. Well I think the previous chapter came out pretty good. Thank you for your support. Well Here is the new chapter.
First I have to say that this chapter focuses more on Tsubasa Yura just like I did with Momo. I found some information about her past from the spin-off series called dx. It's interesting but I'm going to add more. Then let's get into the story.

Boosted Gear [ ]
23. Date and The Next Enemy
Something unexpected happened this morning. I got up early and was ready to go to school when I heard the doorbell. I went to the main entrance and saw Tsubaki Shinra standing there. I didn't know why she was visiting me, but I invited her in anyway.
"Tsubaki-senpai, come in," I said. She entered my house silently. "Please, have a seat," I said, leading her to the living room. I let her sit down and then asked, "What brings you here?"
"Issei, I came to..." she started to say, but I interrupted her. "Wait, before that I'll get you something to drink," I said, and walked into the kitchen.
few minutes later, my mother came into the living room with tea and biscuits for Tsubaki. "So you're, Tsubaki," she said. "Nice to meet you. My name is Miki Hyoudou. Thank you for looking after my stupid son at school."
Tsubaki stood up from her seat. "Nice to meet you, Mrs. Hyoudou. My name is Tsubaki Shinra," she said, bowing slightly.
"Senpai, what brings you here?" I asked.
"Issei, I-I..." Tsubaki's words started to stutter. Maybe it was because my mother was there.
Anyway, my mother understood that she wasn't saying what she was going to say, so she quietly got up from there and went back to the kitchen.
"Now you can talk freely," I said, looking at Tsubaki.
"Actually, Issei, I came to thank you and Asia," she said, bowing her head slightly.
"Oh," I said, taken a back. "I accept your thanks, senpai. At the same time, please forgive me for hiding my identity about the Red Dragon Emperor from everyone." I bowed my head and apologized to her.
"It's okay," she said, taking a sip of the tea and biscuits my mother had brought.
After a while, I called Asia downstairs and introduced her to Tsubaki. She also thanked Asia for saving her life.
Anyway, we talked with Tsubaki about information until after the time we usually left home to go to school. To be honest, all three of us had no idea how much time had passed. As soon as we all realized that we were late for school, we started running towards it.
I told Tsubaki to use the teleportation ring, but she refused that idea. It because she said that Asia wasn't demon. So she can't use teleportation ring that belong to sitri clan. Well I don't no if it's true or not. So we decided not to use it.
"That's Issei and Asia, isn't it?" Motohama said, looking out the classroom window.
"I thought he and Asia wouldn't come to school today," Matsuda said. "Yeah, it's them. Wait a minute, thats *Tsubaki-senpai*! What is she doing with Issei?"
"You have a girlfriend, Motohama. Why do you care so much about Issei's personal life?" Aika Kiryuu, who was nearby, joined the conversation.
"It's not like that," Motohama replied. "He's our friend. I would like him to tell us if he finds a girl so we can celebrate with him."
"Technically, your words don't hold much weight since you don't have a single girlfriend yourself," Kiryuu said with a smirk.
"Just keep talking," Motohama said, rolling his eyes.
Half of the school knew that Motohama was the only one of the Perverted Trio who didn't have a girlfriend. To be honest, even though Issei didn't have an official romantic partner yet, Matsuda and Motohama believed that he had a girlfriend and he was hiding it from them.
All three of us entered the school. To be honest, there was a small problem with us arriving late at the gate, but we were able to escape because of Tsubaki, the vice president of the student council. Tsubaki apologized to us again before we parted ways. The reason is that we were both late because of her.
At the same time, I was a little surprised by what Tsubaki said. Sona had allowed Tsubaki to come to my house in the evening. But why did she come to my house in the morning? I don't know if maybe she missed what she came to talk to me about because of me.
In the end, we all separated. While she was going to her classroom, Asia and I came to our second-year classroom. When we both entered the classroom, learning was going on as usual. At the same time, I noticed a difference: all the eyes in the class were turned towards me.
It took me a while to understand why. Fortunately, when I saw Motohama's angry face, I remembered that Asia and I came to school with Tsubaki-senpai. Tsubaki is as popular as Sona and Rias, so that's why they were surprised. Well, in the anime, Issei also faced this kind of situation.
At the same time, Aika Kiryuu kept looking at me. It was a different experience for me. Because after Dohnaseek changed her memory, she didn't pay much attention to me.
But today she was watching me. I couldn't figure out the reason. But would be great, that if I can create a new friendship with her.
The day ended as usual. A few days passed, and Saturday came. Today was the day of my date with Tsubasa. I came out of the house early in the morning. I made sure not to tell Asia about today's trip between me and Tsubasa. What would she think of me if she found out that I was going on dates with several other girls?
I came out of the house and walked a short distance. I looked at the watch on my left hand. The time was 8:50 AM. Tsubasa said she would be here in a few minutes. I waited. Finally, I decided to go to the nearby park and wait for her there. That way, if she was walking towards my house, I could recognize her in advance.
I sat down on a bench in the park and waited. A few minutes later, I saw Tsubasa walking towards me. She was wearing a lighy blue dress, her hair gathered and a headband put it on. To be honest, I could see her feminine appearance more than before.
"Issei!" she said. "I'm so sorry I'm late. I had to help my mom with some errands."
"It's okay," I said. "I'm just glad you're here."
We talked for a few minutes, and then we decided to go for a walk. We walked through the park and she said that she wanted to go to a gaming cafe. But I thought it's a little weird for a girl like her. Well It's least fun to hang out in a cafe.
"Ok Let's go then" Tsubasa takes her lead. She said that she knows more information about gaming cafes that are located in the town.
We were walking down the street when Tsubasa suddenly asked, "So, Issei, what did you think when you found out about the Sacred Gear?"
I was confused by her question. "What?" I asked.
"If only I had Sacred Gear! tell me how it feels to have a sacred gear?" she said.
"I'm sorry, Tsubasa, I don't understand what you're trying to say," I told her honestly.
"I know," she said. "But this isn't a suitable place to talk about those things. you can tell later. Here we are." She pointed to the big arcade on the other side of the road.
Tsubasa and I entered the arcade. As soon as we stepped inside, several of the workers greeted Tsubasa warmly. Apparently, she was a regular at this arcade.
"Issei, come this way," she said, pulling my hand. We walked deeper into the arcade, where I saw that some of our classmates were also there.
We had a lot of fun playing the games. I had never been to an arcade before. Maybe Tsubasa had come here before, but this was my first time. In my previous life, I didn't have the time or money to go to an arcade.
"Issei, what do you think of this place?" Tsubasa asked.
"It's a lot of fun here, but these games are a bit difficult to play," I said.
She smiled a little. "Come, let's try these games over here. They're easier to play."
We spent about an hour at the arcade, playing games and laughing together. When we finally emerged, I was feeling hungry.
"Tsubasa, aren't you hungry?" I asked her.
"Yeah, I'm starving," she said.
"Come on, then. There's a good ramen shop on this side. It'll be a perfect snack before lunch." I invited her to join me, and we walked down a side street to the ramen shop.
The ramen shop was small and cozy, with a few tables and a counter. We sat down at a table and ordered our food. While we waited for our food, we talked about our day. Tsubasa told me about her devil works, Somehow I understood her situation. As a rook she is bearing a difficult position in the peerage.
When our food arrived, we dug in hungrily. The ramen was delicious, and it was perfect.
We both came out of the ramen shop. Tsubasa looked at me expectantly.
"Tsubasa, I want to ask you something," I said.
"Tell me, I will answer if I can," she replied.
"Why did you become a devil?" I asked directly. These questions had been in my mind for a while. I had read all books about dxd, but none of them mentioned their complete origin story related to Sona's peerage. It was only natural that I was curious.
"Hmm, well, I'll tell you," Tsubasa said. "But first, let's go to a place where there are less people. We can't talk about something like this here."
I invited her to the park where I had fought with Raynare. It was a secluded spot where people rarely went. We sat down on a bench, and Tsubasa began to tell me her story.
"I was born a human," she said. "I lived a normal life until I was 16 years old. Then, one day, I was able to see supernatural things like spirits, ghosts and that kind of stuff…"
"Wow, So you can see them?"
"Yes, I was able to see the difference between devils and humans, and one day I enrolled into Kuoh academy"
Tsubasa's voice was filled with excitement as she told me this. I could see she was happy. Tsubasa continued her story.
"Then one day, I saw Sona Sitri and Rias Gremory," she said. "That's the moment I knew they were both devils." Her eyes widened as she remembered that day. I'm sure she had been scared back in the past. She didn't know what to do. But then, she realized that she had to fight. She had to protect herself and others from the devils.
"I was scared," she said. "Why are they in this school? Things like that came to mind. But it didn't take long to understand that I was wrong. I had to fight them."
She decided to learn martial arts. She knew that it wouldn't be easy, but she was determined. She trained hard, and she eventually became very skilled.
"After that, One day I met a stray devil," she said. "So I thought I should try my luck. I tried to beat that thing."
"So you won?" I asked, surprised.
"What? I would have died," she said with a laugh. "I was only able to hold him off for a few minutes." But even though she lost, she was still proud of herself. She had stood up to a devil, and she had survived.
"Then I met Sona when I was running away," she said. "She helped me and invited me to join her peerage. So now I am a rook in her peerage."
I was silent for a moment, taking in everything that Tsubasa had told me. She was strong, courageous, and determined. She had been through so much, but she had never given up.
"I'm glad that I met Sona that day."
We sat in silence for a few more minutes, enjoying the peace of the park. Then, we stood up and started to walk back.
"I'm glad that you told me your story," I said. "It's been an eye-opener."
"Me too," Tsubasa said. "It's good to finally talk about my story then it's your turn"
Huh!?
"My turn? you already know it right?" I asked.
"No I mean the question I asked you before"
"Oh! that one" I silently sat again in the bench. "Ok I will tell you"
The feeling of using a Sacred Gear! To be honest, I have nothing special about it. After all, Boosted Gear is not something I don't know. I unlocked it forcefully.
"To tell you the truth, my body has changed a lot. In the early days, I couldn't even throw a punch because my stamina was wasted a lot when using the Boosted Gear." She was surprised to hear that.
"But now, I can use it for a hours without getting tired. And my strength has increased dramatically. It's like I'm a different person."
I smiled as I thought about how far I had come. I had unlocked the power of the Boosted Gear, and I was determined to use it to protect my friends and family, most importantly to survive in this harsh world.
"I'm so glad I unlocked the Boosted Gear," I said. "It's given me a new lease on life." she made a smile.
"Do you think Issei, will I able to use a Sacred Gear for me?" She asked, a question forming on her face.
"You know, both Sona Kaichou and Rias Buchou are trying to recruit those who have Sacred Gears to the peerages. Even Tsubaki Senpai have a Sacred Gear called mirror alice So, without realizing it, I've developed a interest for Sacred Gears." She told me her honest feelings.
I wasn't going to tell her the truth. The concept of Artificial Sacred Gears hadn't come to this world yet. Ah, I forgot. I had yet to meet Azazel in this world. Perhaps because I chose a different path, I missed the opportunity to meet him. After all, Azazel first contacted him when Issei was Rias' servant.
"I don't think so, Tsubasa. You weren't born with a Sacred Gear," I said, looking at her.
"Yes, already I know that," she said. But in the future, she will receive a Sacred Gear called Twinkle Aegis. It has power to increase her defensive capabilities and attack potential. Well technically it's a gear that turn in to any weapon.
"But don't lose faith, Tsubasa. Perhaps in the future, you will be able to use a Sacred Gear. I promise." I said, smiling at her.
"Do you really think so? Thank you, Issei. Somehow, my mind has calmed down a bit."
After that conversation, we decided to visiy some other places in Kuoh City and end our date. But then I remembered something. According to Tsubasa's story, Sona saved her from a stray devil, so her powers must have been sealed recently.
"Tsubasa," I said, "You said that Sona saved you. Remind me, did she use her powers that day?"
"Yes," she replied. "Why? Is something wrong?"
I grabbed her shoulder and shook her. "Huh? What? What?!" she asked, looking a little scared.
"I want to know why Sona can't use her demonic powers now. Is there something wrong with her?" Her face darkened, and she turned her gaze to the ground. "I-I don't really know about that, Issei," she said, shaking her head.
"Ok, I'm sorry if I hurt you" I started walking again. She shook her head again.
"It's ok, But Issei, I think someone took away her powers," she said quietly.
I was surprised by her answer. "What? Why would anyone do that?"
"I don't know," she said. "But I think it's the only explanation I can think of"
I stopped walking and turned to face her. "What makes you think that?"
"I heard a conversations between her and Tsubaki fukukaichou" she said. "And I know about kaichou. She would never give up on her powers easier"
"I overheard Tsubaki apologizing to Sona-kaichou. I happened to be listening in on their conversation. But according to the conversation between the two, I understood that someone had taken Sona's powers." She looked the ground again. "After a few days, she told us all that her powers were gone, but..."
'I'm sure it's the devil council who sealed Sona's powers'
"Thank you for telling me this. I'm sure I'll figure this out! And I promise you, I will definitely find the reason." I said, holding her hands.
"Issei, are you going to do something crazy again?" she asked.
I let go of her hand and scratched my head. "Well, that's possible. Come on, let's get out of here."
"Where are we going now?" Tsubasa asked.
"I don't know. Do you have an idea?"
She kept her hand on her cheek. "I have a small idea." She grabbed my hand and started running down the street.
"Oi, where are you taking me?" I asked.
She smiled and looked at me with her finger on her lips. "It's a secret."
Time is 1.30 p.m.
Anyway, our date was about to end, but...
"What are we doing here now, Tsubasa?" I asked as we walked through Kuoh Town. To be honest, she had taken me to several places I had never been before. After lunch, she took me to a judo dojo. She paid for a single room for an hour, and the room consisted of several tatami mats and other equipment for practicing judo.
"Our date is about to end, Issei. But before that, I want to spar with you." She removed her purse from her gasps and went to a tatami mat, standing in a fighting stance. "Come on, Issei. Show me your strength," she invited.
"Okay," I forgot that Tsubasa likes strong men who can fight, I turned back. "Most like a practice match right"
"Okay, first let's make a deal. If you win, I'll tell you something you don't know. so deal?" she asked again.
"Ok one condition, We can use that"
"What" Tsubasa turned his head in the direction I pointed. "Kendo swords?" he asked. "We're not fighting with these, are we?" I shook my head.
Tsubasa, stood in a fighting stance, her kendo sword drawn. I stood across from her, my kendo sword drawn.
"Are you ready?" Tsubasa asked.
"Yes," I said.
We charged at each other, our swords clashing in a blur of steel. Tsubasa used her kendo skills to great effect, mixing in judo throws and takedowns to keep me off balance. I was skilled with his kendo sword, but Tsubasa's agility is better.
I was knocked to the ground several times, because her mixed martial art made me weak. well it's not like I'm losing, It's because I wanted to give her some confidence. but I managed to avoid her blows. I was already determined to win.
Tsubasa already saw that issei was not giving up, and she began to respect him for his determination. She also began to tire, and her attacks started to become sloppy.
Suddenly I saw some opening to break her defense, and I took a chance to caught her offguard. I parried Tsubasa's attack and then struck her with a powerful blow to the chest. Tsubasa fell to the ground, and I stood over her, and my sword pointed at her throat.
"Yield?" I asked.
Tsubasa nodded. "I yield."
I started to slowly lowered my sword. "Good fight," I said.
"You too," Tsubasa said.
We two stood there for a moment, catching the breath. Then, Tsubasa stood up and bowed to me.
"You are a worthy opponent," she said.
"Well I'm the red dragon emperor and Thank you," I said while bowing to her.
"Then my promise to you, I will tell something that only I know"
Asia's Arc is officially finished. Sorry. this one got very long compared to the previous arc. Now let's begin the Riser arc. Well, some changes are made. So look forward to it.
