''How are you feeling?'' Merlin asked while Arthur wrapped his hands with bandage, preparing himself for his armor.

''I'm frustrated, Merlin!'' he yelled and Merlin jerked slightly. Arthur looked at him before sighing.

''I'm sorry, I'm just... frustrated,'' he sighed again and felt how exhausted he was.

''Your father will come around, he always does after you two fight,'' Marlin tried to cheer Arthur up and Arthur gave away a nod in hope to close the discussion. He hadn't told Merlin about what the fight was about, only that it had happened.

''So, have you talked with Elena since last night?'' Merlin continued.

''Merlin, what did I say about asking about her? I already told you we were forced to dance to ease the tension between the kingdoms,'' Arthur lied as his tone sharpened again. Merlin observed him for a while before nodding.

''Yes, you are right, I'm sorry. I will be quiet now,'' he said with a low tone and silence followed. With another sigh, Arthur turned towards Merlin.

''Okay, I'm ready,'' he said and lifted his arms, signaling to Merlin that he could begin. Merlin nodded before starting to place each peace of Arthur's armor on his body.

They made their way down the stairs and walked out to the backyard where the tournament was about to take place. They walked up to Lancelot that was glancing over the arena.

''Ready to beat up some men?'' he said as he noticed Arthur approach him.

''Very,'' Arthur replied. The grandstand started to fill with people and when everyone seemed to have taken their seats, the trumpets started to play. The knights walked out on the field and were now standing in front of the four kings, the two queens, and the princess that sat in the booth in front of them. Uther rose from his seat and the trumpets silenced.

''Welcome everyone!'' he exclaimed and cheers filled the arena. Arthur could not help but glance over at Elena, she was looking at his father. He couldn't stop thinking about her, and he didn't know what to do about it. He just heard his father's words from last night ringing in his head.

''Today we will watch the best men from all around the kingdoms show their skills and courage, may the best man win!'' Uther concluded and the cheering continued as the two first men began the tournament's first fight. Man after man was eliminated as the board was updated to show how they climbed after each victory. Arthur had eliminated three men without much effort, and he spotted that Lancelot was not far behind him. His fellow royal counterpart William seemed to have been eliminated but Sebastian was still on the board, almost at the top. If he maintained that track record he would make it to the final.

Lancelot was eliminated after a while and Arthur now looked at the board. Sebastian was at the final and the winner of the ongoing match would face Arthur. The winner of Arthur's match would be in the final, going against Sebastian for the championship.

Arthur glanced over at Elena again and noticed that the princess seemed to have started to enjoy the duels as she was watching the ongoing match tensely. The crowd gasped and Arthur now turned his attention to the two men that were fighting. Not until now he noticed that Henry was fighting with a man as big as him. Henry was skilled, but his opponent was filled with rage and Arthur could tell that he attacked to hurt, not to win. Henry eventually managed to bring the man to the ground and placed his sword on top of the man's chest as the bell rang to announce his victory. Elena released a big exhale as she placed one hand over her heart and the crowd started to cheer. Henry threw a fist up to cheer with them and started to make his way out of the field.

''Watch out!'' Elena screamed as she rose from her seat before the crowd had the chance to react. Henry was barley able to turn around before he was tackled by the man he just had won over. The man managed to knock him to the ground before he raise his sword and showed his intention of driving it through Henry's chest.

''No! Please!'' Elena had somehow managed to enter the field and was now standing about two meter away from them. Arthur was quick to enter the field and grabbed Elena's wrist before he pulled her roughly to his side, placing her behind him to make sure she was safe. She yelped in the movement.

''My daughter! Protect my daughter!'' Anthony yelled in panic as he rose from his seat while Uther in rage gave order to his men to stop the madness. Sebastian had taken Arthur's side and Lancelot stood across from them, trying to surround the man in the middle. Henry saw his chance as the man was distracted by everything that happened around him and managed to hook legs with the man, making him fall.

''Take her!'' Arthur yelled as he pushed Elena towards Sebastian who caught her and led her out of the field. Arthur was quick to Henry's side and made sure to grab the man's sword in the process, disarming him. The man yelled in frustration as he understood he was defeated.

Arthur led the man down the hallway into the crown room that now was filled with people. Uther had postponed the tournament and was filled with rage as he awaited his son.

''State your name!,'' Uther yelled as the man now stood in the middle of the room.

''Robin, son of Olof, sire'' the man replied.

''You have brought shame and dishonor to your family by trying to kill another knight like that! You are not worthy of the noble title. By the power of my authority I will removing that title from you,'' Uther hissed and to his surprise, the man started to chuckling.

''They were right you know, the republicans. You are only driven by power and rage,'' the man smirked and Uther locked eyes with James, Anthony and David as whispering started to spread around the room.

''Take him away! He's a traitor!'' Uther yelled to make sure he maintained the dominance and the guards pushed the man forward to get him moving. The door closed behind them and James now turned his head towards Uther.

''A knight... they managed to recruit a knight. They are more dangerous than we thought, Uther,'' he said and Arthur watched as his father lowered his gaze, thinking. Everyone expect the kings were dismissed from the room and Arthur now made his way down the hallway, heading towards his room. He entered his room and a big exhale escaped between his lips before he started to take his armor off, throwing most of it on the table beside him.

''Hi,'' her voice was heard say and he turned to look at her.

''I didn't mean to startle you,'' Elena said.

''You didn't,'' Arthur replied and returned to his armor.

''I wanted to thank you for saving Henry,'' she continued and he just gave away a nod. She observed him for a while. It seemed like he couldn't manage to open the stripe on his left arm as he growled to himself.

''Would you like some help with that?'' she asked and took a step forward.

''I don't need your help! You were foolish to put yourself in danger like that!'' he yelled and she flinched to him raising his voice at her. He noticed and started to take deep breaths to calm himself, this rage was starting to concern him.

''I'm sorry, I didn't mean to do that,'' he sighed and turned his face away from her. He could not control himself around her and it frightened him.

''Henry has protected me since I was born, I owe that man my life. I did not mean for you to get involved,'' she said and he dared to look back at her, they just looked at each other for a while.

''I'm just concerned about you being safe, that's all,'' he said as silence followed.

''And why is that?'' she dared to ask, still looking at him. He thought carefully about what to reply before he chose to speak again.

''Because it's my duty to protect the monarchy,'' he said as silence once again filled the room. He felt how his heart dropped with those words.

''Yes, of course,'' she eventually managed to reply and gave away a nod. She started to move from her spot and made it clear she intended to leave the room.

''Well, thank you again,'' she said and cleared her throat as she now made her way out.

''Would you imply I would want you unharmed by any other reason?'' he pushed out and she stopped her walking before turning towards him, meeting his eyes once again.

''That would be considered rather improper, don't you think?'' she said with a soft voice and he gave away a slow nod, not breaking the eye contact.

''It would,'' he replied as their eyes continued the conversation.
