I don't own Loonatics Unleashed
Enjoy!
Wresting seemed to have been one of the best decisions that Slam Tasmania had ever made for himself. Before pursuing a career in this field of entertainment, he had such a difficulty trying to find the right occupation for himself. It seemed that no one wanted to hire anyone that looked like a 'devil' as they would put it. However, Slam was not a malicious being. He may have seemed to be heavy built but had a kind heart. It was a shame that not a lot of people saw that and only judged through what they saw. It had taken a lot of inner strength from him to not give up in trying to find something for himself.
There just had to be something. That was until he came upon a local wrestling club and decided to go ahead and join. The moment that he joined, no matter how laid back he seemed, he could feel the judgement that was silently passed between the other members about his size and appearance. He may have shown that he didn't care about their words, but deep down, even a creature like him wanted to feel accepted. When tryouts were conducted by the head of the club, he could still see the shock in their eyes of how they reacted when he showed the amount of strength that he had. He had picked up the heaviest of the lifting barbells, sent a punching bag flying into the wall, and even managed to support all his weight whilst standing on the tips of his two fingers. When it came to the actual wrestling portion of the club, he had shown off all his determination when he competed against one of the members. His opponent had practically thrown himself towards the Tasmanian devil and in just a quick five seconds, Slam had him pinned against the ground.
All these small competitions that Slam partook in had caught the eye of one of the managers who, at the time, was looking for new talent and enough to make him lots of money. Upon seeing Slam, he knew that this was a different form of talent that he was looking for and someone that would bring lots of cash.
"I'm gonna make you huge, bug guy," he had said to the Tasmanian devil.
He knew that he was already huge in size, but perhaps he could be more. The thought of being on national television as a wrestler was a very tempting offer and he would be missing out on a great opportunity if he didn't take it. He accepted it and after going through so much training, he was able to go against his opponents on live television. There were matches where he would win them and some that he would lose. His losses weren't considered to be heavy, considering that he still had a career, but his manager would be extremely cruel mostly to the fact that he wouldn't get paid. Slam didn't do it for the money. He did it because he liked to wrestle!
"Unbelievable," the manager had said. "Another loss? You know how much I am suffering because of you!"
He couldn't believe how dramatic a person could be. Maybe Slam did not understand much about what his manager did but he couldn't believe how greedy one person was. In the end, all the money that Slam made, his manager got sixty-five percent of the earnings. That wasn't fair and he didn't know whether it was legal either. However, Slam didn't say anything. He was on national television and hearing the spectators cheers him by his stage name, Twisted Spinner, made him feel that he had finally found his place where he was finally loved by others. Would they still love him when he was out of this wrestling façade? That was something that he was going to let time figure out, but for now, he was willing to enjoy the moment and make the most out of it. There was only one thing that he had in control that even his manager didn't know of.
He was in control of his own destiny and he knew that there was going to be a day where he would make a difference…it was only a matter of time.
A/N: I will admit, writing about Slam was a bit of a challenge but he is quite the interesting character. There will be two more OCs introduced but those will be in later chapters to come. Thank you for your reviews!
