I don't own Loonatics Unleashed

Enjoy!

Rev had gotten into a fight with Michelle the day that she didn't show up at the coffeeshop. Sure, she may have had her reasons, but it was rude that they had to wait only for her to be a no show. Rev had felt very embarrassed by that and when he had met with Michelle, it was as if everything that he had bottled up was unleashed towards her. He hadn't meant to yell at her, but he had just been very angry that when he had finished his speech he had seen a crestfallen look upon her features and he had stormed away from her. So much for keeping in contact with an employee to use as a reference.

It had been days since he had last heard from her and there wasn't a single phone call. If he was being true to himself, he didn't expect a phone call at all. Not after the way he had spoken with her. He just didn't want to ruin his newly formed friendship with Tech. He didn't care if the guy was a coyote and that he had a wolf for a friend. The only thing that needed change was Michelle's attitude and the fact that she needed to grow up from that mindset that she had. He hoped that neither Tech nor Quinn felt offended by Michelle's refusal to show up. He couldn't believe that he was taking this situation so seriously, as if he was the one that was at fault.

One of things that he was grateful for was the amount of work that he was able to put in. Sending out deliveries was keeping his mind busy from even thinking about what happened days ago. However, now as he was waiting for the cook to finish the meal so he could deliver it, those thoughts came back into his mind. Just-be-positive he thought to himself. How much positive could he be? There was going to be a moment where he just wouldn't have any of that positivity left.

"Order's up," the cook said to Rev, "you know the rules, Rev otherwise I take it out of your pay."

Rev perked up at that challenge and gave the man a crisp salute. "Don't-you-worry-Cookie," he smiled as he grabbed the bag with the order and activated his rocket blades. "Don't-fail-me-now!" he said as he zipped out of the restaurant and into the streets of Acmetropolis.

He passed by a train, down the street, and over some cement that some construction workers had worked so hard to finish. "Sorry!" he apologized to the workers, but he couldn't stop and help them now. He needed some cash! He made his way up the stairs to where the customer was waiting for his food. The moment Rev got to the top of the stairs, he was out of breath but was determined to hold the bag of food in front of the customers. "Quick-Wrap-Sandwich Shack.-We-deliver-in-thirty-minutes-or-you-eat—"

"For free," the customer smirked as he looked at his watch and then at Rev. "My watch says one minute past twelve. You're late."

A lot of customers had pulled this with Rev. It was amazing how many people wanted to eat free food. But what about him? Didn't he deserve to get paid for the deliveries that he did? Putting on a bright smile on his break, Rev said, "oh-your-watch-must-be-fast-because—"

"Better hurry up next time," the customer said as he took the bag of food out of Rev's hands and proceeded to walk into the building.

Rev was dismayed. This was the third delivery that he had accomplished today and in all three of them, he had been late. He didn't know whether it was because of his speed, for he thought that it was just fine, or the fact that the fight with Michelle was bothering him so much. "But…I won't get paid," he said to the customer, as if he was going to be kind enough to pay Rev for the money that he had just lost.

As he was about to head back to the shack, he stopped and looked up when he noticed a trail of fire falling into the city. What was that?! his thoughts screamed in his mind as the fireball made contact with the city. A wave of heat was thrown into his direction along with a potent shockwave, causing him to make contact with the wall of the building.

A light groan escaped from his beak as he slowly opened his eyes and looked to see the bright light consuming the whole city. He could hear people yelling in fear, as if the world was about to end. Rev couldn't remember hearing anything on the news about a potential meteor hitting the city. But the shockwave that it had caused, would be detrimental to the buildings as well as human life.

Life.

Oh my God Rev thought but remained as if he was glued to the ground. My parents and Rip. Please let them be okay were his last thoughts when he felt his eyes close and the dark consuming him.
