I don't own Loonatics Unleashed

Enjoy!

Tech E. Coyote had expected for there to be a mission in the incoming days. A week had passed since the six of them were given their suits but there had been no need for them. A part of him wished that he could slip away and finish that senior thesis but there would be no point in it anymore. The only way that he knew he could continue and finish his senior thesis was to just design what he wanted without any pompous professor giving him any recommendations or barging into his work. Now he had his own personal laboratory, fully funded by Zadavia, and he could do whatever he wanted. Of course, there were some limitations to that. If he accidentally blew up the place, then Zadavia wouldn't be too happy about that.

He tried to think what he could do to help his team, other than using his powers. During the past couple of days, his training had been passable but not up to par. He was not the only one who was struggling. Even the others tried to figure out how to use their powers. Tech was just glad to be away from the slight chaos and into his personal laboratory. He sketched out a design and then brightened when he figured out that the team needed some form of transportation to get from one place to the next. However, it shouldn't just be limited to one thing. Why not create a piece of technology that was adaptable to land, air, and the water?

Tech E. Coyote your ancestors would be proud he praised himself as he began to get to work on the pieces.

From the outside of the laboratory, Rev Runner was passing by when he heard metal crashing against metal. He peeked inside and blinked when he observed how quickly Tech was able to build what looked like highly advanced motorcycles. "Whoa," the roadrunner said, catching the coyote's attention.

"Oh," Tech said as he got up from the ground and walked over to the roadrunner. "I didn't see you there Rev. What do you think?" he asked as he waved his hand over to the motorcycle. "I call it the Zoomatrix."

Rev sped towards the motorcycle and ran his hand over the pristine metal. "It's-amazing," Rev commented as he looked up at the coyote. "So-this-is-like-a-motorcycle?"

"It's much more than that," Tech said as he pressed onto a button that he had installed on the side of the motorcycle. The motorcycle then shapeshifted into a flying contraption and then into one where it would go in the water.

"Wow!" Rev exclaimed when he saw the shapeshifting taking place. "This-is-the-most-brilliant-design-ever.-Going-from-land-to-water-to-the-air.-But-haha-I-don't-think-it's-too-necessary-for-me-to-take-it-up-in-the-air.-I-just-found-out-that-I-am-able-to-fly.-Can-you-believe-it?-My-ancestors-have-not-been-able-to-fly-for-such-long-distances-but-I-am-able-to!-Although,-I-don't-think-that-not-being-able-to-fly-is-a-bad-thing-but-it-does-have-its-benefits.-I-wonder-of-other-types-of-flightless-birds-have-been-able-to-develop-the-ability-to-fly."

Tech made a mental note to prepare some contraptions that would make this bird stop talking for what seemed like a minute and a half. "As intriguing as that sounds," Tech spoke up before Rev went into another monologue about birds, "I have not specialized in genetic evolution. I'm more of an inventor."

"Maybe-you-can-teach-me-a-thing-or-two-about-your-inventions," Rev suggested. "I'm-more-of-an-inventor-myself.-Remember-those-rocket-blades-that-I-built?"

"The ones that needed a little tweaking?" Tech said, "yeah I remember. You practically crashed into me after those gave up."

Rev embarrassingly chuckled at that. "Yeah-they-needed-a-little-bit-of-work.-It's-a-good-think-Pa-wasn't-around-to-see-that-or-he'd-be-really-really-really-really-really-really-really-really-really-really-really-really-disappointed."

Tech took a deep breath and smiled cordially at the roadrunner. "Glad that didn't happen. Now," he said as he held up his wrench in the air, "I really, really need to get back at making four more of these. I hope you don't mind."

"Oh-not-at-all!" Rev shook his head with a smile upon his beak, "if-you-ever-need-anything-anything-at-all-or-even-if-its-the-littlest-thing-I'll-be-over-by-the-lounge-area."

The moment that Rev zipped away, Tech felt his ears falling at peace. It wasn't that he didn't like him, but he talked far too much where it deviated Tech's concentration. He closed the door to his lab and gave it a quick lock just until he was finished with his work.

Rev headed over to the lounge area. "Hi-friends!" he greeted Ace and Lexi that were by the kitchenette and Slam that was sitting at the couch and watching a wrestling match on television. "Going-back-to-your-glory-days-there-Twisted-Spinner?" Rev smiled at the Tasmainan devil.

Slam nodded his head at the roadrunner followed by a smile. Finally, a place where there was no judgement.

"What-are-you-guys-up-to?" Rev asked as zipped over to Ace and Lexi.

"Nothin' much," Ace answered Rev, "we were just discussing about our training. We've mostly been training individually and I was suggesting to Lexi if we had a little bit of a friendly showdown with one another. You know, put our skills to good use in case we have to fight an enemy anytime soon."

Lexi leaned back against the wall with her arms folded across her chest. "I'm on board with it. I've been trying to bring back that brain blast but I'm having a hard time doing it."

"When was the last time you did it?" Ace asked her.

"I was at home when I discovered me powers," Lexi said, "my super hearing picked up a noise in my room and I saw this…ugh huge tick on my wall." She shivered at the memory of it.

Ace and Rev looked at her when she said that. "Hopefully Acmetropolis doesn't have a bug problem. How big was it?" Ace asked her.

"Like about this big," Lexi indicated as she held her hands away from each other to indicate the size of the bug.

"Jeesh-that's-a-huge-one," Rev said. "Hopefully-there-isn't-anymore-of-those."

"Yeah, hopefully," Lexi agreed. She couldn't help but feel that the tick being in her room that day was for a reason. It just seemed like a random event that the day she got her powers, an insect the size of remote control appeared in her room.

"Anyway, enough talking about bugs. Has anyone seen Duck?" Ace asked Rev and Lexi, "I was hoping to meet with him so all of us could train."

Lexi looked down at her wrist for the time. "It's the afternoon," she said, "I thought I saw him leave at around nine this morning."

"He's been disappearing off at that time ever the team has been formed," Ace said. "I may just have to have a word with our little duck friend." He felt that he could reach out to Zadavia about this, but maybe it was better to take matters in his own hands first before going to his superior.
