It's been a year since the Mountain King's attack, an entire year. Right now Kaisa was down in the chamber of the committee of 3, who were having an important conversation. Not a bad one, but a good one, about a good idea.

Kaisa: Well, I think that's a great idea.

Abigail: Of course, Hilda deserves it for everything she's done for us, the trolls, the city, and the witches of the tower.

Kaisa: Alright then. I'll be sure to do my part.

Kaisa bowed her head in respect for the committee and turned around, walking towards the exit of the chamber and back upstairs to the library. After walking for a while, through the secret rooms, Kaisa reached the library and walked towards her desk, closing the door to the secret room behind her. Kaisa reached her desk and picked up the phone, dialing the numbers for a friend. After few moments, Frida picked up the phone.

Frida: Hello?

Kaisa: Frida! It's me.

Frida: Hi, Kaisa. What's up?

Kaisa: Well, listen, I've spoken with the committee of 3 and we've decided to throw Hilda a surprise birthday party for all her good deeds.

Frida: Really? Hilda will love that!

Kaisa: Yes. But it's supposed be secretive. So I need you and David to do a favor.

Frida: Go on.

Kaisa: Our plan is to have at the Witches' Tower in 3 months. But we need Hilda to stay out of there so we can get the party ready. So I need you and David to stall Hilda and keep her out of the library.

Frida: Right. Got it. And I'll tell David everything.

Kaisa: Great! Thanks Frida.

David and Frida were walking along the sidewalk and are reaching the library, hoping to work for today on Hilda's secret party. But unknown to them, Hilda has been following them in secret. She picked behind

Hilda has noticed things have not been going normal with her friends. They've been spending time and haven't been talking to her as much as usual. One time at school during lunch, Hilda sat down with them but they just scooted down the seats. It almost felt like they were becoming a bit distant from her, and the worst part is that it has been going on for the past week, making Hilda worried and concerned. But now Hilda is gonna find out what the deal is today. Approaching the library, the trio walked up the steps to the library and saw Kaisa at the top, leaning against the stone column next to the doors, which Hilda felt was weird. But then the unexpected happened, when Hilda was about enter inside the library, Kaisa immediately got in front of her and looked at her.

Kaisa: Hilda. You can't go in.

Hilda: What?

Kaisa: You heard me.

Hilda: What do you mean I can't come in?!

Frida: Is something wrong?

Frida and David looked both behind them and faced Kaisa and Hilda.

Hilda: Guys! Kaisa is not letting me inside.

Frida: Do we know you?

Immediately Hilda's eyes widen in surprise and shock. This was new. They were talking to her, but now they were acting like they don't even exist? How could they? Even after everything they done together?

Hilda: Wait? What? Guys?

Frida: Do we know you? Have we met?

Hilda: Of course! It's me! Hilda! Don't you remember?

Hilda was becoming worried and was completely confused on what was going on. What something wrong?

David: Well, whoever you are, you probably don't belong here.

Hilda: What?! Of course I do! I'm Hilda! Your friend! Remember?

Frida: We don't remember hanging out with you?

Hilda: What? David? Come on!

David: I'm not coming on. We have no idea who you are.

Hilda: Guys! Please! If what your doing is joke then you must stop! Please!

Frida: How would we be joking you if we don't know who you are?

Hilda: But you do know me! It's me Hilda! Remember?

David: We don't remember you, and never knew you! Not buzz off! You don't belong here!

Hilda: Wha?

At this point, Hilda's mind was swirling with thoughts in panic and deep worry of this situation. Hilda just turned to Kaisa who was folding her arms and giving Hilda a stern look.

Kaisa: Now, if your finished here then you can leave.

Hilda just gasped in pain from that comment. What's going on? Were her good friends turning on her or something? But why? Wasn't because they didn't want her around anymore...Hilda's shrunk like, before she just looked down and slammed her eyes shut, clenching her fists as she felt her anger rise fast.

Hilda: Ya know, if you don't want me around then you can just say it.

David: Wait. What?

Hilda: You know what?! SCREW YOU! SCREW ALL OF YOU! I DON'T NEED YOU! IN FACT! WITHOUT ME! YOU WOULD ALL HAVE STILL BEEN PATHETIC LOSER!!! I HOPE ALL OF YOU BURN AS HELL YOU DISGUSTING FREAKS!

And that was it. Hilda stood there with her hands clenching into fists and was staring at them with so much anger and pain, with her face red as a tomato and her eyes were flooding with tears. David, Frida, and Kaisa's eyes widen in shock and hurt from Hilda's hurtful words. Hilda noticed from their reactions they seemed very hurt by her words, like they were recognizing her or not. But Hilda did not care, if they didn't wanna be around her then fine. Hilda then immediately turned around before any of them could say a thing and stormed down the steps like a furious person, leaving them behind like they deserve.

Kaisa, David, and Frida just stood there with feelings of shock, horror, betrayal, and sadness as they watched their friend reach the bottom of the steps and run off before she cry. Frida was thinking in her mind that she knew Hilda would become this angry, and just felt herself tearing up in regret. David was just overthinking about if this whole friendship with Hilda would work, or not because of what just happened. Kaisa was just thinking about what happened too. She was thinking how awful it was for her to kick her out of the library, like a tyrant, but she didn't have a choice. Kaisa had to uphold the surprise. Maybe when things go back to normal when they surprise Hilda with the party.

Johanna was at her drawing desk and was trying to finish her latest project on work. Just then she heard the door swung and slam loudly as the echo bounced through the house. Johanna immediately spun around and saw Hilda coming into the apartment and stormed into the hallway, stopping for a moment and leaning against the wall, looking at the floor. Johanna looked at her daughter and saw puffy red eyes on her face as a sign she's been crying.

Johanna: Hilda? What's the matter?

Hilda: N-Nothing's wrong.

Johanna was about to ask another question when she watched Hilda just walk away from and ignoring her question. Johanna watched as Hilda walked to her room and closed the door not as loud as before, making Johanna have mixed feelings about it. This was like when Hilda didn't speak truthfully about her adventures and that's what triggered Johanna's concerns. Johanna then remembered Hilda was heading to the library today, so maybe that was the perfect place to start calling.

Meanwhile in Hilda's room, she was burying her face into her pillow and she cried, then took deep breaths to regain her composure. Hilda then let out a deep sigh she weeped her with her sleeve. After a few seconds Hilda sat on her bed and just faced down to the carpet, processing what happened and what's next. Hilda was thinking over and thought about what she said...it was wrong. Seeing the sadness, horror, shock, and betrayal on her friends' faces made Hilda's remorse and guilt rise. She didn't mean it, and was just mad. But seeing the betrayal in their eyes, maybe it was all just a big misunderstanding. Maybe they were pulling off a prank of some sort. But regardless, maybe they deserve an explanation, and an apology, starting with Frida.

Hilda hopped off her bed and grabbed her bag, packing it with things and supplies, just in case. Next was to get out of the house. Tontu was in nowhere space, so that option was out. But Twig and Johanna being in the living room, and Alfur in his clock house, maybe out the window and down the fire escape we're good enough. Hilda then walked to the window, unlocked the window, and slid it open. But before she could step onto the fire escape, Hilda heard her door open and out came the voice of the last person Hilda wanted to see yet.

Johanna: Hilda?!

Hilda immediately froze in her tracks from that familiar voice behind her. Turning her head back, Hilda saw her mother standing at the door with her arms folded and giving her a mad face. Hilda sheepishly closed the window and stepped onto the carpet, walking to her mum with her hands behind her back.

Hilda: Mum, I know what your thinking and I-

Johanna: If you know what I'm thinking, then you'll understand why your in big trouble!!

Hilda: Wait! Mum, let explain-

Johanna: There's nothing to explain! I know what you've done!

Hilda: You mean sneaking out?

Johanna: Not that! I just called the library, and Kaisa said you said horrible things to her, and your friends!

Hilda: I said it because-

Johanna: Doesn't matter?! For whatever reason it was, it was still the same thing! You still said what said!

Hilda: But mum, I-

Johanna: But nothing Hilda! But nothing!!

Hilda: Mum...

Johanna: Shut up! You're grounded for an entire month!

Hilda just looked up at her mother and didn't say anything else, feeling powerless as her mother was looking down at her with disappointment and rage. Hilda just turned to look at the floor, feeling somewhat shame for her actions, but no, her mother wasn't letting her explain things. Hilda just clenched her fists and took a deep breath, ready to challenge her.

Hilda: Of course you'd do that.

Johanna: Excuse me?

Hilda: You heard me!! Of course you'd ground me without letting me explain first!

Johanna: Hilda-

Hilda: SHUT UP! YOU PATHETIC HOUSEWIFE! THIS IS WAY DADDY LEFT YOU! ALL YOU DO IS BLAME EVERYONE ELSE FOR YOUR MISERABLE MISTAKES! LIKE WHEN I WENT TO CAULDRON ISLAND! ALL I WANTED WAS TO HELP THE LIMBWORM BUT NO! YOU HAD TO GROUND ME FOR IT AND WHEN I WENT BACK IN TIME AND SAW MY SELF DIE TWICE TO A TIME WORM! YOU DID NOTHING! AND FINALLY WHEN I TRIED TO GO TO FRIDA'S HOUSE TO HELP HER WITH A SPELL SINCE SHE A WITCH YOU JUST SENT ME TO MY ROOM ALL BECAUSE YOU WANTED TO PLAY A STUPID BORAD GAME AND YOU WANT TO EAT A DUMB PIE LIKE THE LITTLE FAT PIG YOU ARE! I HATE YOU!!!!

But before Johanna could say anything in response, Hilda's eyes turned dark blue and she, without thinking, took out her anger on Johanna. Hilda raised her fist and strike her mother as hard as she could, right in the gut. Hilda hitted her so hard that she heard bones crack inside her mother. When it was done, Johanna felt to her knees and felt herself gasping for air as she felt the wind knocked out of her. Then Johanna laid on her side on the floor and gripped the carpet, coughing and gasping for air. But the 4th cough, Johanna felt some liquid come out of her mouth. Touching her lips, Johanna saw it was blood, from the punch to the gut and her bones snap. Johanna just looked up at her daughter and made a horrified face from her actions.

Hilda just looked down at her mother with her fists clenching and her face red as a tomato, filled with anger. Hilda then became pale, making a white face of horror and shock from what she just done. Hilda just lowered her hand and slammed her eyes shut as tears flooded them. But no, she's started this and there's no going back. Hilda's face went from sadness to anger, and she walked over to her mother, grabbing her by the hair and pulled her along as she walked to the door. Johanna wanted plea to stop, but nothing because she had trouble breathing. Hilda yanked her mother by her hair with all her might and shoved her out the door of her bedroom with all her might, making Johanna crash into the wall.

Hilda then rushed towards the shelf above her task and took off the clock house of Alfur. She didn't care if Alfur was inside. Hilda then threw the clock at with all her might put the door and smashing it on the wall above Johanna. The clock shattered into pieces and Alfur fell out, landing on the floor next to Johanna with a horrified face. But before Johanna and Alfur could do a thing, Hilda just slammed the door as hard as she could and locked it, closing them off and not knowing when she'll open it again.
