CHAPTER 1 FREEDOM DAY

It was a peaceful day; everyone was having fun, going about their normal routines. It was the return to normalcy, since Dr. Eggman had been defeated and the metal virus neutralized.

In Spiral Hill Village, everyone was preparing the celebration of peace, in honor of the heroes that defeated Eggman, and one of them was particularly excited, "WOOOOO-HOOOO!" Tangle was goofing around, running, swinging and jumping all over the place. She stopped to help hang some decorations, "I better see everyone at the party!" she laughed. She proceeded to jump on top of the roofs, inspecting the horizon, "Now what? I've done everything there is to do. I've helped everyone, and now I'm bored." she shank her head in her hands, doing a sulky face, "I just wish I had something to do!" it seemed like the universe was hearing her, because a pamphlet brought be the wind finished it's journey on her face. Getting caught by surprise, she panicked for a bit, struggling to remove it with her hands, being her tail the one to take it off, she let out a relived breathe, "Hum? What's this? An announcement! If you want to participate in the Three way Freedom Competition, then bring your team of three members and come join in a series of events to see which team manages to be the champion. The prize is 10 million, in the currency chosen be the victorious team! This... Is... So cool!" her pupils shaped into stars, she was about to jump away, when a thought hit her, "How can I participate? Let's see. Hmmm! Whisper is always a possibility, with the help of her whisps I can surely convence her, but that leaves one spot to fill! The others probably know about the competition, so they should have already their teams." she lifted the paper against the sun, "Yup, Tails watermark! This kid must have printed every single one of these pamphlets." she sat on her tail, making her feet float above the roof, she croseed her legs while thinking.

"Jewel would be good, but she isn't much of an adventure type, so even if I managed to get her to join, she would be out of her element, and I didn't want her to feel bad." She thought about it, putting her finger parallel to her mouth, between it and her nose, until she had an idea.

"I know just the right girl to form the team, I'm going to need Jewel's help to assemble them, but even then it's not a guarantee. Hmmmm! I think I might have a little help from some friends of mine!" The lemur jumped off the roof and headed for Jewel's museum, carrying the flyer.

But as she left, another handout was blown onto the roof.
