A.N. Hello, it is I, BoomslangSnipe! My cousin, ThunderDunce, is unfortunately unable to continue his many stories, posted or otherwise. He has had an… unfortunate discovery that shall not be discussed. I must say, though, he is simply brilliant with his work, keeping it original and spicy!

Now, these chapters will be rewritten, going more in-depth about the location, and more rather unimportant details because descriptions mean everything to me!

Now, without further ado, please enjoy "Enter The Ring!"

'Any sailor worth their salt fears the Whirlpool above all else. It's an unpredictable force of nature. It is unpredictable, unchanging, unrelenting, and if it has you in its grasps…

'Pray lord, Arceus shows you mercy because the Whirlpool will not. Whirlpools don't believe in any God.'

'Motherhood was not all it was made out to be,' Kushina dully thinks, watching her son drool onto the pillow they had brung onboard the plane. Dressed in a white, long-sleeve shirt and blue jeans, Kushina had long, straight, blood-red hair that hangs down to her back. The Uzumaki Clan symbols sit on her shoulders, a red swirling circle defined by black lines. Her purple eyes twitched as drool began to leak out of her son's mouth.

As a teacher, Kushina believed in tough love. That discipline would solve any problem.

That was until Naruto, her blond son, came into her life.

As a teacher, Naruto was Kushina's worst nightmare. He was a prankster who didn't care about the consequences. He was always rude to everyone. And the fact she loathed the most? He hated learning!

She sighed as the drool landed on the head of her son's newly gifted Riolu from his aunt, Cynthia. She couldn't really be too upset really. She was… like this when she was younger as well.

The Riolu is a small, blue, canine Pokémon. It has a black torso and legs, a blue tail, and a yellow collar. Unlike regular Pokèmon, however, what would be blue on Riolu's body was instead a lemon yellow. This meant that the Riolu was a shiny, a rare one in four thousand sixty nine chance encounters. Kushina felt a shiver go down her back when she thought about how many eggs Cynthia hatched to find this riolu.

It has rounded bumps on the backs of its forepaws. It has a black "mask" and red eyes. It stands on its toes instead of its entire foot. It is sensitive to a special type of energy called Aura; however, it does not have the ability to fully use these powers, although it can still emanate these waves to communicate and sense them, albeit only in ripples. It has developed two black appendages that hang down from its head, which rise when Riolu reads or manipulates aura.

The other Pokèmon, a Chimchar gifted from Professor Hiruzen, watched the both of them grab onto her son's head, drool dribbling out onto her son as well.

Chimchar is primarily a bipedal Pokémon. Its fur is primarily a shade of orange, although its face, outer ears, underbelly, hands, and feet are light yellow. Its ears are large in comparison to its head and have red insides. It also has red markings around its eyes, as well as two pointed teeth in its upper jaw, a swirl-like symbol on its chest, and five fingers on its hands with three toes on its feet.

It has a swirly crest of hair on its head. Its rear has a small, round, red patch that is usually obscured by flames produced by burning gas in its stomach.

She reached out to rub her son's shoulder. She was to see land, and she was sure he didn't want to miss it.

"Wake up, Naruto. Were almost there. I see land coming up," Kushina muttered to the sleeping boy.

A tan hand grabbed her own, a tired groan escaping his lip. He slowly blinked his eyes open, purple eyes the same shade as her own drowsily staring at nothing. The boy began to stretch, revealing an orange shirt, a far larger Clan Symbol emblazoned on it.

Still holding onto the boy's head, the Chimchar groggily clambered onto the boy's shoulder, wiping away the sleep from its eyes.

The Riolu merely opened one eye, wiping away the drool, before repositioning himself, and going back to sleep.

"Hello, everyone, this is your pilot speaking, we are about to arrive in Paldea." This made her son instantly sit up and look out the window, startling both Chimchar and Riolu, causing them to fall.

She shook her head, closing her eyes while holding a small smile when Naruto's Pokèmon simply tried to look out the small window as well. Her son's Pokèmon were the same way as well! It was almost impressive how similar they acted! If the other two weren't Pokèmon, she could have sworn they were triplets!

The mother snorted when the Pokèmon tried to push Naruto out of the way to see out the window. Forget what she said about them being triplets. They were practically one entity!

"Woah, mom, look out the window! There's large, pink birds!" Naruto said excitedly. "They look like they have Knots around their necks! I wonder what that does? Does it work like a Golurk's bandages? I can't wait to battle one!"

Kushina deadpanned at her son's words. "I would see this bird," Kushina muttered, "if you weren't blocking the view…"

"Whatcha say, mom? / Char? / Lu?" All three asked at once, all three heads turning at as well. Kushina sweatdropped at the reaction, entirely unsurprised.

Rolled her eyes in mirth, the single mother rubbed his son's head, elistenting an embarrassed squawk. "Nothing, sweetie. Just keep soaking in the view while you can," Kushina softly retorts. "We've only got fifteen minutes left."

~

"Oh, sweet Ground, how I've missed you!" Naruto cried, trying to hug the ground. "I will never leave you again for so long!" People around the two stared in shock at the mother-son duo, whispers traveling through the crowd. Not that Kushina cared.

Done with her son's antics, Kushina simply picked her son up the back of his shirt. "Okay, that's enough of that. Let's get going. We have a house to see!" She said happily, thankful his Pokèmon were in their Pokèballs.

"Wait, just a sec -"

Naruto began to sweat at the look in his mother's eyes. "You want to run that by me again, bucko?" She challenged, cracking her fingers with her thumb.

Shrinking in on himself, he shook his no. "Good, cause we need to get going," Kushina said and began to walk around. She was searching for the principal of their new school.

~

The school principal could only blink of surprise and a little shock as he saw the newest student get man-handled by his mother and his likely to be the newest teacher.

Principal Clavell with the newly instated principal in Naranja Academy. He was rather old for his station, as seen by his white hair. But he made up for that by doing his best to understand the youth of this generation.

Clavell wears glasses and an orange blazer, a belt of Premier Balls going around his waist. He stood tall as he awaited his newest student and teacher.

"Ah, Naruto and Kushina Uzumaki, over here!" He called out, drawing the attention of the two.

The principal slightly recoiled his neck at the speed they ran to him. 'I swear, did they just use Agility or something?' He thought belatedly.

"Allow me to introduce myself. I am Principal Clavell of the Naranja Academy. It's very nice to meet you both," Clavell said formally.

"You're a stick in the mud, huh?" Naruto mumbled.

Slamming her fist into her son's head, Kushina said, "Hi, I'm the kick-ass Kushina Uzumaki, and this is my son, Naruto." Clavell pursed his lips. It disturbed him greatly that the mother before him said that as if she hadn't just delivered a haymaker to her son's skull, thoroughly knocking him out.

"Uh… will he be okay?" The Principal asked uncertainty, a bead of sweat rolling down the back of his head. Maybe he shouldn't hire this lady.

"Oh, he's taken worse. I only deal out punishment that serves the crime. He's done this more than just a few times," Kushina said, still as if nothing happened. This was really starting to get to Clavell. Just how does she treat kids?

Picking Naruto up, Kushina whispered, "Don't ruin this for us, Naruto. This is one of the only places that could accept us, especially after that stunt you pulled!"

Snickering to himself, Naruto looked at his mother in defiance, unwilling to meet her goals. "Make me," Naruto challenged.

Kushina sat her son down roughly, Naruto simply huffing and walking forward angrily.

"I trust that you won't do this to any other student other than your son?" Clavell asked hurriedly as they both walked after Naruto. He needed to be sure. He didn't want any potentially dangerous people working for him.

"Oh yeah, they're just kids. My son here, on the other hand, is a complete idiot that can't keep his mouth shut, even if Arceus himself asked him too!" She said in her usual way as Clavell had seen, yelling the last part so Naruto could hear.

"Yeah, well, who's fault is that, huh?!" Naruto yelled back.

The Principal sighed in relief. He had heard all about the Uzumaki's… eccentric ways. They weren't a well-known clan, unlike the Uchiha of Unova, the Senju of Hoenn, or the Hyuuga of Sinnoh, but they were called the most terrifying foe because of their namesake, the Whirlpool.

"Well… let's get going then. We have a lot to see here," Clavell said politely, walking faster to catch up with Naruto. Kushina sighed and sped up her walking as well, grimacing when her son gave her the cold shoulder.

They walked a rather dark hall towards the light, the wind and the sounds of various things ringing their ears.

"Naruto, may I take the lead?" Clavell asked politely. "I don't get to do this often, but-"

"Yeah, yeah, sure, do what you need," Naruto answered dismissively, picking at his nose.

This earned him a gibs from his mother, both of them entering into a staring contest.

"Well, since this is your first here," Principal Clavell called. They both looked away from each and walked toward him, eyes widening at the scene, staged like it was from a movie.

The wind ruffled the Principal's hair, making it slightly waver. Leaves dance behind him, smiling Hoppip, a pudgy, pink creature with simple yellow eyes and smile, two spiky, grass-like propellers rotating on their head, floating with them. The sunlight made Clavell's figure a silhouette, hand held out to both sides in a grandiose gesture, like a hero showing the people the light.

"Welcome to the Paldea region, a region full of mystery, exploration, and, of course, Pokèmon," the Principal said proudly.

"Paldea is filled with hundreds of Pokèmon, in the sea, land, and sky. Hundreds of new Pokèmon, unlike ever seen before," Clavell said grandly, throwing one of his Pokèball, revealing an odd mouse that Naruto knew was not a Pikachu.

"Hey, old man, what's this Pokèmon?" Naruto asked the Principal.

Another skull-rattling Punch was delivered to his skull and the Principal could only furrow his brow at the nickname. Clavell was surprised when the boy withstood the punch instead of faceplanting like the last time. He snorted when Naruto fell on his rear, thinking about how well he adapted compared to the first blow.

"Pardon? / Pawmi?" The principal and Pokèmon asked in unison, Clavell shaking out of his awe.

"You'll have to forgive my idiot son. He likes coming up with informal nicknames," Kushina apologized.

The Principal's eyes softened. "Is that so? Well, if that helps him adjust to Paldea, I'll allow it as long as it isn't completely insulting." Both Kushina and Naruto blinked at his statement, Naruto still on the floor. "Ah, while we are a school and a place to learn, many students really only have our school as a home within our region. The comfort of the students is our top priority, right up there with their education. Keep up, now," Clavell said, beginning to walk again.

"The comfort of students and teachers are mandatory so our students can learn the best they can," Clavell said, waving back to a waving student.

"Now, each student and teacher will get their own room within the academy, which they are not required to use. The rooms, however, be checked to make sure that you aren't hiding anything dangerous, and / or to clean."

Naruto rubbed his hands together, a plan formulating in his head. "I can work with that," he whispered to himself.

Clavell narrowed his eyes on the boy. "It does appear though that we don't have enough rooms for all of our students. Knowing that you two have bought a house here, I'm sorry to have to ask you to live there until there is more space for you to move in."

"Aww man!" Naruto moaned. "Bunch of pranks, right down the drain!"

The three began to walk down the road, Naruto seeing the many food, clothes, and Pokèmon related shops sprinkled around, mixed in with top housing.

"Paldea is filled with adventure and mystery," Clavell said, swiftly dodging some running and laughing children. "There are secrets in every nook and cranny," He continued, gesturing to some passing Fletchlings, small, Grey birds with redheads.

"But to get to all the exploration, you need to learn to be independent and knowledgeable. This world, as safe as it might seem, paths are carved for a reason. Yet, we wish for you to carve your own path to victory, whatever that may be."

'Maybe one day I'll see dad again!' Naruto thought to himself. 'Yeah! And I'll show him how strong I've gotten! He'll be so proud!'

"It could be the Champion Title, To be able to see everything this region has to offer, or to simply help a friend," Clavell chattered on, still walking forward, stepping into the shadows of an archway.

"All we wish for those who come to learn at this academy is to be able to forge one's own path," The Principal said with conviction. He walked up the steps in the archway, approaching the blinding light, as he stopped to look at Naruto. "I don't know what that will be for you, Naruto, but I hope you learn in due time."

Clavell looked away, and stepped into light, walking along. Naruto smiled, running up the stairs and entering the light.

His eyes widened when he saw the Plaza in front of him. The buildings surrounded the Plaza, four archways allowing entrance to it. The roofs were a neon yellow, many Fletchings and various colored parrot-like Pokèmon fighting each other over space on said roof.

In the Plaza itself, hundreds of voices, people, and Pokèmon capture his hearing and sight. Skiploom, Fletchinder, Lechonk, Parichurisu, the list could go on and on!

The floor of the Plaza was a magnificent tapestry of a pokèmon, various shapes and colors catching his eye!

There was simply no other way to describe it. Paldea was gorgeous!

Kushina narrowed her eyes at a disappearing figure exiting the Plaza from the eastern exit. 'No, it can't be…' she thought in panic. 'Yeah, it can't be. They couldn't find us that quick. Yeah, it's just my paranoia…'

She grimaced at the thought. 'Shinobi rule 25; if something feels wrong, then the mission has gone wrong.'

"Okay, thanks Principal Clavell!" Kushina said quickly, grabbing Naruto's wrist. "Alright, Naruto, we need to buy some new clothes. Ours are a bit too warm for this weather."

Naruto yelped, trying to get out of his mother's grasp. "No! Wait, shouldn't we-"

~

Staring into nothing, a drop dead tired Naruto shambles along the path laid out in front of him, Mind whirling with the day's events.

"That… was a lot." Naruto murmured, looking far more tired, struggling to keep up with his mother. He was carrying the bags with the clothes and food that they had bought, his mother calling it training. Like hell it was!

Kushina nodded lost in thought, walking down the road to the lighthouse, various pokèmon jumping away from her.

'Damn it!' She thought, frustration written on her face. 'Why do they always know?! How do they keep figuring it out?! I know we're not trying to remain secret, but why do they always find us so quickly?!'

Kushina sighed for the second time today. She needed to get away from those thoughts, and go back to Naruto's training.

A bit of a hike to the school, but it would be good for Naruto. He's been needing to train his stamina more. Well, it wasn't like he already had a ton, but it wouldn't hurt to increase it.

Hearing a small cry of surprise, Kushina turned her head to see a Squakabilly, if she was right, and a yellow one at that.

She was told that the yellow Squakabilly were fairly aggressive by Principal Clavell. Sighing, she grabbed a pokèball at her side and threw it. It is going to be a long summer if the yellow ones keep coming around.

A large silhouette covered the suddenly frightened bird, as it could only shake in fear, eyes popping out of his skull.

(A.N. Think Enel when he learns Luffy counters his Devil Fruit [One Piece])

"Well, now we wait," Kushina mutters, swiping the explosion of Squakabilly feathers out of her face. "Oh, I hope you start soon, School. For my own and my son's sake."

A.N. I hope you've enjoyed this chapter. It's not too different, not that it's supposed to be.

Do leave your well wishes for my cuz, ThunderDunce. I can't tell you what's happened, all you need to know is that he's not taking it well.

To leave on a lighter note, I hope you'll enjoy my writing! It's a bit stupendous and muddy at times, but I hope you are as proud of it as I am! For I am an attention seeker, plain and simple!

Thank you for reading, hug your mother, and have a good one.
