Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Invisible Tango. Enjoy the 4800-word chapter. I do not own X-Men, Disney, Marvel, and a few others do.

Kitty had seen MANY mutants since she had gone to the X-Mansion. They either could not always be seen as a mutant or they were wearing it on their sleeve.

It was surprising to her to see what had looked like a teenager barely younger than her. It would surprise her only if she did not think they were not also a mutant and it could have made them look different at the end of the day.

There were a lot of things that had been going on when. Even then? It had to end sooner or later.

"Uh… Hey?" They asked, waving as Kitty smiled.

"Hey. Marcus, right?" Kitty asked as she looked to the side. "Let me get the professor, come in," Kitty stated before she activated her ability and phased through the floor.

It never phased to amuse her to know how much people were thrown off for now as she paused to phase through the floor and then thought of what was going on.

She was too interested but she saw them swept inside… She was too interested in what their mutant was, it was always a goal that came to try and figure out their powers.

There were a lot of goals that Kitty focused on considering the X-Men had been divided in a thousand different ways which seemed to be dividing them more and more.

"Hmm," Kitty said, landing in the next room. "Professor? Marcus is here… Do you want me to bring him to the parlor?" Kitty questioned before she paused and slowly started to fold her hands behind her.

Professor X seemed to be too focused on a computer to try and figure out what was to happen next before she cracked her fingers and looked to the side, interested in what was going on.

"I am aware, Ms. Pryde." Xavier said as Kitty frowned.

Always Ms. 'Pryde' which had bothered her, barely anyone called her Kitty anymore. She had been able to think of what was the glory days for their sort of way.

She had been too happy to try and act, for now, this path she walked was her own. She had been too thrown off by the X-Men acting their way and what they had to do for now as of now.

"I'll handle it, Professor." Xavier heard from Kitty as she walked up the stairs. "There is a lot more to train soon, Storm is busy trying to fix their files. She is supposed to be teaching the next group of students." Kitty stated before she seemed to look downwards at the ground.

She seemed to be able to relax, to let it slowly yet surely stream down their back like water. It would leave her bothered to have known what was going on and what was going on. She would not be willing to fight through it all at the end of the moment.

She would not be able to try and figure out something which needed to be dealt with for now and clicked her fingers together as she walked up the stairs.

She could not fault them for being at a crossroads. They had a thousand different little plans which all shattered together to make words that did not make sense, and ideas that had conflicted with it all.

Perhaps it meant something to him, but it was chaotic enough to her for her to find herself adrift. She could not make it go further and further with such ideas.

She would be too interested in now, an idea which threw her off if she had known what had been thrown for a loop.

To entirely be fair? This entire thing was too much, it would always be too much, there was only a moment of silence as they paused, thinking of it for but a moment.

Something was rolling in the chaos, something which needed to be dealt with for now and for good reason. Even then? He felt too interested in what was come to come.

She walked up the stairs slowly yet surely. If nothing else? She was too peaceful now and she wished that Marcus was ok with that. She wanted there to have been something to have dealt with as much as she wanted peace, quiet did not last enough to have been done in for not at the end of the day.

She finally stepped through the stairs.

She paused for but a moment to compose herself… Then sighed because she knew it was stupid and insane to think herself ready to talk about being a mutant with someone who had probably only had their powers a few weeks.

It was not a discussion she should be having but since most of the mutants were busy talking each other to death? It fell to her and her alone… Which made her too interested in what came next to have thought of what was dealt with for now.

She did not know, did not wish to have known for now. It all vexed her in ways she could not and would not have understood, even then she felt tired.

She cracked her fingers, putting one foot in front of the other quickly and it vexed her to no degree.

Such a thing only seemed to be dealt with for now and she relaxed for the idea. This was a lot more to try and deal with for now… The chaos which needed to be dealt with for now would be something else.

Marcus for his part seemed to have to deal with it for now and she looked to the side. Perhaps it seemed to be something for now and then looked to the idea for the moment as it came to it.

There were a lot of things that could have been done with it now. She had been too interested in what was going on before she looked down to the ground, she had been too interested in what was going on before she managed to relax.

She looked for Marcus for but a moment, knowing what was going on as she sighed. All of it hurt… All of it hurt once again. They had something else which needed to be done at the time being.

He had been too interested in what was going on… He looked over at her, too relaxed for now, making him crack a smile… As she paused to try and look to the side, something was very wrong as she paused to think of it… There was a LOT more to this, she could not have allowed it to be done and said, she had been too interested in what was going on as she seemed to be allowed.

She knew more and more with each passing moment what was going on, she could only look to the side… Chaos would be too interested as of now. It meant very little to her.

"Marcus?" Kitty asked to which she looked to the side.

"Hmm?" Marcus asked as Kitty took a seat next to him. "Why don't you tell me what your power was? You said it might be like me." Marcus heard from Kitty.

"I mean it has to do with making yourself hard to hit… It might be better if I go outside and show you?" Marcus asked before he paused to blink, knowing what came next.

Kitty nodded and walked towards the door. She knew more and more with effort what was going on, she had not been able to deal with it but she wanted ANYTHING to put her mind off it.

She decided to make him as she paused to think of what had been going on as she phased through the door, stepping through it like it had been handled.

Such a thing was beginning to make her feel more and more like she was the only person who enjoyed such a mutation at the end of the day.

Perhaps she had been hasty, she had been too easily manipulated for now… Kitty watched Marcus slowly and surely appearing to step out of the house. There was too much energy on her mind for her not to be happy for a moment.

She watched her friend slowly step outside before she seemed to think of what was doing next… She would not be ready for them; she would not be able to deal with it for now… Even at the end of the day? She was thrown off.

Kitty watched as Marcus's eyes slowly seemed to keep glowing yellow only for something which she seemed to be too interested in what was going on before she seemed to think.

She looked over at him before she seemed to be too undecided for now as she paused to try and deal with for now.

Kitty was about to say something in response to this only to be forced to phase through a stone as it flew towards Marcus who stepped off the stairs, a few dozen more pebbles flew as well which made her blink as he sighed and looked down.

More and more stones flew to him which made her ponder what was going on before every little pebble clung to his fingers… Then came strips of dirt from a hole in the yard.

All of it slammed into his frame as he raised himself upwards to his feet, making himself look FAR more powerful than he supposed he was too interested in it to do more than look at her.

"Its… Controlling rock and stone and dirt." Marcus stated with a sigh. "I think there is a word for that, but I do not know it… And I do not think I have known it for a long time." Marcus said with a shrug which made him sigh and then look down to the ground.

"Terra… Something, I think." Kitty stated before she sighed. "Come inside, I will see if I can talk to the others and get some training up… Then we can talk about something like staying here… If Professor X wants to help." Kitty said.

"So, your power is walking through stuff?" Kitty heard as she nodded.

"Phasing, but yeah. I can do that and it is handy when you need to do something crazy and over the top." Kitty stated with a sigh.

She could not have envisioned what was going on and she could not have allowed herself to think. She did not even know what was going on at times as she walked through the door, one used their powers so much it wanted to breathe when one mastered it at the end of the day.

Kitty at times hoped she did not get used to her powers, though. One could not rely on the powers forever and even she could not act forever when it came down to it as of now.

Marcus stepped in behind her, pausing only to close the door behind him. He had ZERO idea of what was going on but he had ZERO reason to slow down acting on pure rage and instinct.

"Were… You the lady I talked to over the phone?" Marcus asked to which Kitty blinked before she realized that YES, he was the person she had spoken to.

"Yes, I am," Kitty said to which Marcus smiled.

"Well, it is nice to meet you, Ms. Pryde," Marcus said in a way that just gleamed with amusement and knowing no matter what? He was amused.

To be fair to Kitty? It was not like she was LESS amused by things. She knew him, she knew what it was like to be a mutant, some reveled in it, and some cursed the very day they were given the gift.

And some just seemed to be willing to deal with it in a way like this… Perhaps she could have dealt with it for now until the end of time and space.

Even then? He could not allow it to be like this lest he is throwing something aside now and knowing what was coming next would remain only harsher to have done in the sheer wake of these sorts of things.

It had been something that he could be dealt with. Marcus looked at Kitty with such interest, knowing what she was like. She could not figure it out the same way, too interested in what came next.

Kitty looked to the side, pausing to think but she seemed to try and deal with it. Marcus took a small crouch on the step, pausing to think as she sighed to her.

"You, ok?" Marcus heard as he looked up to see Kitty, she took a step down and then sat on the step next to him.

"You, ok?" Kitty asked once more.

"Tired, it has been a long day, to be honest. A very long day which I do not want to think about. There are a lot of things on the end of the time being." Marcus stated before he seemed to fall silent.

Marcus seemed to be dealing with something more chaotic. She had been dealing with more on her mind as well as she tapped on her feet, yawning as if she was replaying a song.

There was a very long to try and heal, to fix up the scars on the X-Men. She was looking at him as the two young mutants seemed to share a moment of silence.

"I think you said something is not going well with the mutants here. They want to keep doing something?" Marcus questioned before he raised an eyebrow and then looked to the side once more.

"No, there is just going through something like this. They are all arguing about what is going to happen next." Kitty stated before Marcus sighed to himself.

Marcus stayed silent, falling to the side as he shook his head before he finally fell silent and then cracked his fingers. Stone and rock slowly started to fly back towards him as they floated around his fingers once more.

Kitty was silent and then looked to Marcus as he hummed and cracked a smile at her before she seemed to fall silent once again, exhausted now.

Whatever would she do? She was written into the ground before she fell to the ground before she seemed to think once more.

She had not been able to relax since this all had come floating to the top. She wished to scream but she could not at the time as she cracked her fingers once more.

She had been too unfamiliar with it for now as she clicked it all into place slowly and yet surely as it all came tumbling down and into the mud with each little twist of the knob.

She had not been too familiar with it all at the end of the day. She had been ready to try and figure it out.

To be fair? She did not know what was going on, not now as there was more to it than what he had envisioned… There were so many lessons on her mind before she thought of it at the end of the day, not wanting it to end.

She was too relaxed, too interested in it for now… She wanted it to matter, to make sure it meant something.

Marcus hummed as he paused to look downwards at the ground. She sighed as she seemed to watch it to the end.

Kitty phased her hand through the wall, guessing that such a thing would be impossible to deal with for now.

He had been relaxed, knowing what would come of it at the end of the day, knowing what would come next, not wanting to grow tired with it all for now.

Such was life and life, life was good at the end of the day, and they had that for now. He paused to think of it for good reason.

Marcus could only smile, knowing what was going on, too was interested in her life, and for good reason. It was clear that such life was logical, to begin with when push came to shove.

She paused to think of it for now and for good reason as he clicked his reason before he sighed to like himself before he sighed to think of it at the end.

There was more to see and do, something that he would not be able to properly relax, knowing what was going on before now… It was all said and dealt with as he clicked his fingers before he slowly started to think of it.

He seemed to be dealing with something chaotic and he lived there as he looked at Kitty, hoping what was happening next would be fun.

"We're going to war, aren't we, Ms. Pryde?" Marcus asked as he paused to think, thinking of what was going on.

He sighed, knowing what was going on, knowing her, and guessing he would be wrong with that, wrong about something that he had little to no control over… Such was fun and it was clear that she had known him in his little mind.

She was oddly in control.

"Tired?" Kitty asked to which Marcus shrugged.

"Not enough, there is a lot within my brain making me run around… And the little rock trick is hard to deal with for now." Marcus said, pausing to think of what his next move would be.

He could not do much with his power, not yet. Nope. He had to control his power around others.

To be fair? He was a mutant and most of them were hunted down at the end of the day, it was something he dealt with and dealt with it.

All of it was harder and harder to figure out, guessing something would be impossible to figure out when all of it was over. There was a lot about it she did not know, however… Such things seemed to bug her only in how little she did not know and what little she did was not tempting for now.

She looked at Marcus and could tell that there were a lot of things that needed to be over, a lot more than before which had not yet dropped from the table… Such details seemed to be very unimportant now in ways that could not be dealt with so easily…

Marcus hummed as he realized such a thing would end eventually… It had to end eventually.

"You know, I do not exactly know what the best part about my ability is… It is just throwing rocks around." Marcus stated before he seemed to think of it.

Marcus seemed to fall silent as he realized that the next step was going to be easier said than done… Very much because he held no such illusions, no such transfixed idea for now.

He held no such idea as to how it was going to end, nothing like that existed now, knowing what was going on at the end of the day. Kitty for her part simply seemed to dream it up now.

There were a lot of things that needed to be dealt with for now, there was more to their powers as she tapped on her feet. She did not even know what was going on, did not wish to yet do… Something about it all seemed to drive him the wrong way when it was all over.

Though? It might be because he had little to nothing to do next…

And he could not understand it, not that he minded it… He had a lot more to deal with either way.

"Everyone's mutation is different… Like mine, you cannot exactly control what it is… I would know, I have done a lot worse than figure out a few details now." Kitty stated as she sighed and realized that it all seemed to be dealt with.

She sighed, rubbing at her temples, and then pondering what to do next… She could only get so far by herself… Especially when she knew that the others were in on something beyond even her.

It hurt… It truly did hurt for her to remember that she had to run the way it had gone. There were a lot of things she knew about her comrades which made her sadder, like the fact that such a group of mutants had little in the way of actual materials to go on… Such was part of being a mutant, she supposed it was better than nothing, better than what was going on at the end of the day.

It was chaotic, it was painful enough to deal with power like this… To be cast out for not being that way and for wanting to be seen as the bigger person as he seemed to grasp it once more.

All of it seemed to be beyond it…. Beyond what had to be done and dusted… Even she at the end of her rope seemed to realize just how badly it would go, how well it would end if she had been…. Herself.

She knew now that such things were beyond saving it. There was something about such trickery…. Such a thing was beyond saving as she knew about it.

Kitty looked at Marcus, she knew he was kind and she respected that…. There was nothing about such a gesture. It would be beyond even the best idea of what needed to be done now.

He had been tired, exhausted, and too interested in what was going on at the end. He held no such idea as to which the future held.

"Being here isn't going to be easy," Kitty said as she hummed and tapped on her bare legs. "Trust me. The rookies like us? They do not usually last long as you think." Kitty stated before she paused.

It made her weary to know that whatever was going on. There was something about it to the end about it which made it awkward.

She sighed as she began to phase through the floor. At times? She felt tired, she felt isolated. Every little twist upon that rack made her push for the idea that it was going forwards.

She did not know what was going on.

"Kitty?" Marcus asked before Kitty hummed.

"Let me give you the house tour…. The mutant way." Kitty stated before she phased him as well.

Despite the flaws of her power? Kitty LOVED her power. It was unique, it was fun…. It made her feel like she was untouchable, she adored the power and how it made her feel as a person then.

There were a lot of things that she held onto as a person. She knew exactly what kind of person that was and what it meant… Not once would it be dealt with now.

There was more to it, more to this, and knowing it meant something but drawing a blank on what it was. Even at the end of the day? There were a lot of things that made him very eager to try and figure it out.

He had been eager to fix it, eager to become beyond this and embrace it. She had loved it now, she loved it now and she knew it now, she knew more and more with each little second at the end of the day.

It was a lot more to this as he seemed to be dealt with it once more. It became funnier, much funnier at the end of it. Each little motion he made himself was another towards the next moment she would have in the quiver.

It had to die out, it had to and would eventually when it was all said and done once more at the end of the day. It was not going to be over it for now.

She was pulled to the ground; she had been too interested in what was growing on her mind before she paused.

She pulled her through the ground and towards where the next part of the tour was. She loved her power; she loved what it let her do and she loved doing things with it to help others… Still? She had no such idea what would come next but she did intend to see it break events.

She was tired and she was interested in something far grander than this.

Kitty looked over at Marcus, knowing that she could have been thrown for now. he looked fascinated by her power.

"You know I could have done that, right?" Kitty heard from Marcus as he blinked. "I can uh… Sink through the ground with my powers, it's something I can do." Kitty seemed to hear.

Kitty blinked before she realized she had never asked Marcus the depths of his earth-controlling sort of powers… Granted, she had zero idea what his powers were now when it was all said and done but she could hardly be blamed for how it should have been dealt with.

She wished to see it end now and for good reason. She did not know what he could see and she could even do when it came to it.

She could at the very least understand what was going on, understand what the mission was, and understand very well that her next move would be tearing through life like a comet.

To be fair? She wished to try and understand it far more than anything else. If knew very well that whatever had to be cured? It would eventually end with more madness than possible.

Granted? It was indeed clear such things might exist and clear even if she wanted. She might remain at odds with such things, causing the collapse.

"Well, I did not know and I cannot know until we do it… That? And it causes problems." Kitty stated before Marcus hummed.

"The power or the skills?" Marcus asked only to get poked in the face. "Power it is… Well, to be fair? We need to know about power, Ms. Pryde." Marcus stated.

It made him annoyed, very annoyed as he knew damn well there was nothing short of irritation on his mind as he looked over at her…. Granted? He was dealing with the chaos of someone who was very well on the way to the end of the line.

Still? Whatever needed to be done to train himself? Marcus was ready for it, ready at least knowing it would become easier to deal with eventually.

Marcus sighed as he realized that they needed more power and more skill eventually, something which he held onto sooner or later.

The pain he was going through was nothing to how terrified Kitty was feeling, ready to scream and break something into pieces as it all came crashing down onto the ground.

She had to see this all end eventually, sooner or later. It was a harder pill to swallow to realize Marcus was… Different, much more different than she had expected… All of it seemed to be wishing to deal with it for now.

She did not wish to let it come to an end, Kitty lived a fantasy inside what needed to be done with and what did not… She had stayed too done with it for now… Such was life and life favored more and more against mutants.

Kitty of all people looked at Marcus with fascination, watching as stone and dirt seemed to be piling up, building so much as she wished to, and not once realizing she had zero idea what she was doing.

Granted? Kitty was a student trying to train new students and she was trying her best to let it all come down the wire.

Kitty watched as stone and rock seemed to surge around his fists and she watched as it slowly started to form shapes and tools, shapes like her or the room.

He did not have the most masterful control over his power but it was clear he had some sort of skill over his power but lacked most of the control and effort put in maintaining it.

Still? These sorts of things took time and she held nothing sort of amusement and amazement.

The only interesting part was simple, she would continue to not know. That and that alone was fearsome to them.

Author Notes

Phew. Another chapter is done! I want to point out that the next chapter will be in 2-10 months and will be 900-6500 words and will be showing more of Kitty and Marcus training. Until then, Lighting Wolf is out!
