Chapter 21
Billy growled as he stayed where he was hidden, he had been remarkably lucky he knew, to be able to keep up with Spider-Man. But it seemed the mouthy superhero was in no hurry to get anywhere, simply swinging around the city, not looking for anything in particular but keeping a look around for something it seemed.
'Regardless it's helped me keep track of him and follow him. I swear I will make this freak pay for humiliating me.' He thought angrily.
Despite his anger, he wasn't a fool, he knew he couldn't exactly fight the superhero, he had no intentions of doing so. He was simply trying to find a way to return the favour, hopefully find some embarrassing secret for the superhero and expose it, humiliate the arachnid hero as he had been humiliated. Watching carefully he noted that Spider-Man had made his way around a bend, into an alleyway and picked up his pace. He knew that if Spider-Man had any secrets, he'd pick a place he wouldn't be seen, like an alleyway, it was a distant chance but a chance none the less. So he hurried onwards and rounded the corner, only to find Spider-Man was gone.
"What the…?" He gasped.
He walked down, wondering where Spider-Man could have possibly gone. He soon got his answer when he fell forwards and cried out, he turned to see his legs once more ensnared by webs.
"You-!"
Spider-Man was squatting against the wall, rather casual. "Everything okay, Billy-boy, you seem rather eager to follow me? Is there a problem you need help with?"
Billy froze at that, face going red as he realized he'd been caught and humiliated again, worse, the whole time Spider-Man had known he was following him, he had been played for a fool. Thus he was left to try and work his way free while Spider-Man swung away yet again.

Seated in his office, deep in thought, Norman tried to bring himself to terms with the strange fractured memories and the new sensations running through him.
'Such new strength, I feel, I fell like...could this be, could the formula had worked...perhaps even more than expected.' He thought in amazement. 'Still, for Stromm to have died, such a horrible incident, a freak accident...I don't know…'
He tried to keep himself composed, deciding not to dwell on it and instead to try and get used to this new power he felt running through him. He was distracted from his thoughts however as the door to the office opened and Brenner stepped in.
"Ah Norman, how are you, no longer dealing with those dizzy spells?" He asked calmly.
Norman merely smirked. "You know me, Martin, now, what is this?"
He was eyeing the forms and documents that Brenner had brought with him. He set them down on the desk and explained.
"It seems the formula worked for you. However given that accident that led to Stromm's death, we may need to do a few more tests before we consider it as the solution you were seeking." Brenner paused and then said. "Anyway, we've got some...things to consider, in case there are complications."
Norman quirked an eyebrow and looked down at the forms, reading them. "Martin, do you really think this-?"
"It's just a precaution sir, I think it'll work to all our benefits, should the worst happen." Brenner explained.
Norman sighed but shrugged, he had no reason to refuse he admitted to himself, so he began signing the documents.
Meanwhile, looking over some notes in the lab, Harry took a deep breath and smiled.
'This is a chance, a chance to change Oscorp's direction, to make a real difference. We can fix things, make changes for the better and...then we can forge a real legacy for mom.' He reflected before sighing sadly. 'Dad just doesn't understand, he doesn't realize that all this stuff he was doing was contrary to all that she desired. I'm trying to carry on her legacy, her wishes...Dad thinks he is, but he's wrong. I just need to-'
He was distracted at that moment as he doubled over again, coughing and it took some effort for him to regain control of himself.
'No, not yet, I still, I still have so much to do.' He told himself.
Shuddering he tried to compose himself and continue his work.

Mike grunted as he was shoved against the locker, grimacing.
"Where are you going, frog-face?" Troy snapped. "I'm talking to you."
Mike glowered at Troy, they were at school and he had been accosted by Troy in the corridor. He had tired to ignore him, not wanting to deal with the boy's nonsense that day. But it seemed Troy was not going to just let things go.
"So, what's the rush, off to try and suck some dick."
Mike rolled his eyes. "You're not even remotely funny Troy, it's pathetic, you-"
"Me?" Troy scoffed. "I'm not the one thinking he has a chance at being some superhero's bitch."
"Wh-what?" Mike gasped, eyes wide.
Troy smirked and held something up, something which made Mike's heart sink, it was his journal. The very journal in which he had written about his crush on Spider-Man. He knew right away he was screwed.
End of chapter, hope you enjoyed it, read and review please.
