Chapter 6 Starting line

Izuku looks at the beach he and the kids have been cleaning. Finally, after nine long months, Dagobah beach is finally clean. The four teenagers cheer at their success, at long last, the beach is cleaned and with time to spare. Izuku looks at the soon to be heroes proudly. They really have come a long way from when they started.

"Okay, listen up." Izuku begins. "When I first started to clean this beach, I didn't expect so much help. But thanks to all of you we finished ahead of schedule. Now that the beach has been cleaned, I want all of you… To take some time off."

"What!?" Katsuki exclaims.

"Katsuki, you've been training and cleaning this beach for the past nine months. You're more then ready for whatever UA has to throw at you. I'm not saying that you should completely slack off however. All of you need to keep your grades up and stay in fighting shape. The UA Entrance exam is just a month away. If you don't have some R&R then you'll be burned out by the time it rolls around."

"He's right Bakugou." Kirishima said. "You worked harder then any of us."

"Kick up your feet and relax for a bit." Kaminari adds. "You deserve it."

"Oh! I know what we can do! Let's all celebrate!" Mina shouts.

"Don't do anything crazy now. If you get in trouble then you'll lose your chance to enter UA." Izuku lectures.

"Hey…" Kirishima speaks up. "Is this it? Is there nothing left to teach us?" He asked.

"The goal was to get you ready for UA. You have so much more to learn, but that can wait. You'll meet heroes at UA that will teach you much better than myself."

"I don't know dude. You're a pretty good teacher." Kaminari compliments the hero. "If all of the teacher at UA are like you then maybe it won't be that difficult."

"Remember Kaminari. Carelessness can cause mistakes." The electric teen nods.

"I get it…" He sighs.

"All of you, go home and rest. You earned it." Izuku said to the clean up crew. All of them nod, say good bye and make their way home. Izuku looks at the beach and smiles. "Those kids are going to do great things."

V

Arriving at Yagi's penthouse, Izuku hears yelling coming from inside. Acting quickly, he forces the door open, burning air swirling in his hand, at the ready to be launched at the intruder. He sees a tall man with green hair with yellow highlights. He's dressed in a light grey suit with a red tie with white polka dots and yellow rimmed glasses.

"I don't know who you are, but—" Suddenly, Izuku is kicked in the face by Gran Torino.

"Calm down Dekiru, that's Sir Nighteye! All Might's only sidekick."

"Oh… I heard yelling and assumed someone broke in…" Izuku rubs the back of his head.

"So… You're the 'legendary hero' that convinced All Might to give his quirk to someone who's quirkless." Nighteye glares at Izuku.

"I am… So, you're All Might's sidekick?" Nighteye shakes his head.

"Ex-sidekick." He spits out. "We had a falling out over his decisions."

"Decisions?" Nighteye nods, still glaring at the hero.

"He should have chosen a successor after his fight with All for One and retired. Instead, he chose to continue despite his failing health." Izuku sighs.

"He was in a rock in a hard place. If he retired then all of his enemies would have become incentivized to attack him at his weakest. Why would they need to kill All Might when they could just kill Yagi?" He argues.

"He could have lived peacefully, away from the city and never disclose his identity!" This makes Izuku chuckle humorlessly.

"Oh, c'mon you and I both know he wouldn't go for that." Izuku chuckles. The older hero agrees.

"Dekiru's right. Toshi is as stubborn as a bull." Nighteye starts to become more agitated.

"Then what about that quirkless girl he gave One for All to!?" Izuku gives Nighteye a pointed look. Toshinori on the other hand was getting sick of Nighteye's attitude. He was just about to throw Nighteye out when Dekiru came home.

"What's wrong with someone who's quirkless?" He asked. "Yagi was once quirkless."

"One for All should have been given to someone who's already experienced!" The hero argues. "I had someone perfect for One for All and you just gave it to someone who has no experience!" Hearing this from the hero makes Izuku sigh.

"Nighteye. Do you know how quirks even work?" He asked.

"Of course, I do!" Nighteye shouts indignant.

"Really? Then you should know that only one person can have one quirk. I've seen what happens to people who have more then one quirk, it's not pretty."

"One for All doesn't work like All for One." Nighteye rebuttals.

"How can you be so sure? Are you willing to endanger the life of a young student? All for One is able to hold multiple quirks because his body is built for it. A normal person isn't built to hold more then one quirk."

"But if someone is strong enough—" Izuku interrupts Nighteye again.

"This isn't something that can be solved by being strong enough! There's more to this then just transferring a second quirk to someone!" Sorahiko speaks up, tried of listening to the two debate.

"During our time at I-Island, we talked with someone in the field of Quirk biology. He gave us a whole two-hour lecture, just thinking about it is enough to make my head hurt." The old hero groans, he should be the one giving out lectures, not receiving them.

"He was very passionate about his work." All Might comments, recalling the young scientist discussion on quirks. "He told us that it is possible for humans to hold more then one quirk, only after the person has been enhanced." This confuses Nighteye.

"Enhanced?" Gran Torino nods.

"He gave us a run down on what would need to be done. First is the brain. It would need to be able to handle the strain of running two or more quirks. Second is the body. If someone isn't strong enough to handle multiple quirk, their body will tear itself apart. Lastly, it depends on the quirk or quirks the person is receiving and their initial quirk. If the quirks don't work well together then there will be some complications." The old hero explains.

"I see…" Nighteye hums. "And this enhancement process. I take it that this is all theoretical?" All Might nods.

"That's right. No one has tried, there are too many unknowns and too great of a risk." The number one hero answers. "No one is lining up to be a test subject and only mad scientist would perform such unethical experimentation." Hopefully, in the near future, they could have the knowledge to safely perform quirk transplants and if needed, quirk removals.

"She's not even going to a hero school…" The foresight hero scoffs. "She'll never be a symbol for this nation."

"There's more then one path to heroics Mirai." Toshinori responds. "She's getting a crash course in heroics and mastering One for All. Once she's up to speed, she'll be sent here to complete her education."

"She even found a way for her to safely use One for All without breaking her limbs." Gran comments. "Didn't take her too long, the little lady is one smart cookie. There was one time she broke her arm… Well, more like pulverized, but we had someone with a healing quirk on standby. Once she was patched up, she realized that she had to think of herself as a power plant."

"What do you mean like a power plant?" Nighteye repeats.

"She realized that when she activated One for All she transferred all the power into a limb, or "district". What she needed to do is send the power throughout her body. She's even building support items to help regulate her power."

The foresight hero sighs, annoyed at their insistence. He could shout at the heroes until his face turns blue and they'll still insist that All Might's chosen successor is more worthy then his hand picked protégé. One that he personally trained to be worthy of One for All.

"Fine… I'll stop. But this doesn't mean I'll accept her as your successor. Only when she's a part of UA will I even think of sending her an internship." Nighteye makes his way to the door. "Goodbye." He finally leaves the penthouse.

"What's his problem?" Izuku asked out loud.

"That was Sasaki Mirai. His quirk allows him to see the future." All Might answers. "He wanted me to retire after putting an end to All for One. I decided against it and continued to be the symbol of peace… Midoriya… Did I do the right thing?" He asked.

"You make your own choices; you have to deal with the consequences. As for retiring, heroes don't exactly have the luxury. I'm surprised someone like Gran is still a hero. Shouldn't you be retired sir?" Gran grumbles.

"I should be. But like you said Dekiru, heroes don't have the luxury of retirement." The old man sighs. "Anyways, I should get going. Maybe next time when you take me somewhere, take me to a resort." The man grumbles and leaves. All Might makes his way to the kitchen to get a glass of water for his dry throat.

"So, how did the beach cleaning go?" He asked after he drained the glass of water.

"We just finished today. I told them to take the last month off for some rest and relaxation." Izuku answers. "So, how was I-Island?"

"It's amazing. I do hope you get the chance to go there someday." All Might goes into great detail about I-Island and the amazing technology. After talking for an hour, All Might looks at the clock. "Oh! Look at the time, it's dinner time!"

"Leave the cooking to me." Izuku stands up and makes his way into the kitchen. "You just got back from a trip." The two of them enjoy a delicious well-cooked meal. Once dinner is finished, Izuku makes his way to his room to go to sleep, he has a busy day tomorrow.

V

Following Izuku's instructions, the clean up crew takes a well deserved break with small amounts of training. One month has passed and the four of them are at the gates of UA high school.

"You losers ready for this?" Katsuki asked.

"You bet!" Mina cheers.

"Oh yeah! Totally ready!" Denki smirk.

"I was born ready!" Eijiro clenches his fist.

'All of that training really paid off. Thanks to Dekiru, I'm going to be a hero!' Katsuki marches his way towards the UA door, only to trip.

'Or smash my face into the ground.' Instead of hitting his face in the ground, he's floating in the air.

"It would be bad luck if you fell today." A young girl with rosy cheeks said. "Sorry about using my quirk on you." Katsuki adjusts himself and places both feet on the ground. The girl presses her fingers together. "Release." The weightlessness around Katsuki disappears.

"Thanks." Katsuki thanks the young girl.

"Well… I'll see you inside!" She quickly makes her way into UA. Mina makes her way up to Katsuki and nudges him with her elbows.

"She's kind of cute, don't you think?" She asked slyly.

"Shut up dumbass." Katsuki marches his way inside.

"It sucks being the only girl in the group…" Mina laments. The group makes their way inside to take the exam. They've been training for ten long months, they're ready for this.

V

Mina, Denki and Eijiro are NOT ready for this! They knew the written exam was going to be difficult, but not this difficult! They barely had enough time to finish the written exam. Once they were finished, everyone passed their exams to the front where the teacher collected them. Present Mic, the voice hero makes his way up to the podium and explains the practical exam. Their goal is to take out robots, each one is worth a different set of points. One of the exam takers pointed out that there are four robots, not three. Then he points at Katsuki.

"And you! Pay attention, if you're not taking this seriously then leave!"

"Hey dumbass, maybe if you didn't interrupt him he would have explained what that fourth robot is for." Katsuki snarls at the tall teen with blue hair.

"Thanks for reminding me examinee!" Present Mic shows a picture of a giant robot. "That's our zero pointer! It's worth no points. It's POINTLESS to go after it!" The auditorium silently stares at the hero, judgmentally. "Yikes! Tough crowd…" He continues. "Anyways, just use your quirks and rack up as many points as you can. Break a leg out there! PLUS ULTRA!" The hero finishes the assembly with the school motto. The examinees are taken to the locker rooms, to get dressed and ready for the exam.

V

Katsuki watches as the door to the battle arena opens slowly. Once the door is fully open, he'll charge in quirk blazing! The door opens and Katsuki launches himself into the city. He quick finds his first point. It's a one pointer. Acting quickly, he jumps on top of the one pointer.

"DIE!" With a mighty shout and a precise blast to the robot's cranium and ceases to function. Katsuki smirks at the sight of the downed robot. Training with Dekiru really improved not only his body, but his quirk. He charges deeper into the city and begins to rack up points after points.

Everyone who trained with Dekiru and cleaned the beach is having an easy time with the practical exam. Kirishima is tearing apart the robots with ease. His quirk is now stronger and harder then steel! He has no trouble taking out robots. Before he could move on and find more robots, he sees an examinee about get hit from a robot's arm.

"Look out!" The teen jumps between the robot and the examinee. Kirishima takes the blow. The robot's arm crumples and bends. Kirishima counters and punches the robot in his center torso, putting a hole in it. The robot sputters and dies.

"Thanks for the save." The examinee thanks Kirishima. He has wild purple hair and bags under his eyes. "My quirk is not suited for this…" He complains. So far all he's done is help the other examinees who've been hurt or pinned by debris. Suddenly, they hear a cry for help. The two teens rush over and see another examinee, his leg pinned by debris and a two pointer making its way to him.

"I'll hold off the robot! You save that guy!" Not wanting to argue, the teen begins to unbury his leg.

'Man, it's a good thing I followed All Might's advice.' Shinsou thought to himself as he lifts the small broken pieces of concrete. These slabs of debris would have been too heavy if he wasn't strong enough. The brainwashing teen spent the last year getting into shape, and if he couldn't get in the heroic course through the practical exam, then the sports festival would be his best bet, just like All Might said. Shinsou finally finishes unburying the examinee's leg.

"Give to me straight, is it broken?" The examinee asked. Shinsou eyes the leg, he can't tell.

"I'm going to roll up your pant leg." Shinsou slowly rolls it up and reveals a bloody bruise. "Yeah, you're not walking on that." Hearing this causes the teen to curse.

"Great, I guess that's it then…" He said dejectedly.

"Guys! We got a problem!" Kirishima shouts. Another robot shows up, this time it's a three pointer.

"I'm going to get this guy out of here!" Shinsou shouts. He quickly helps the young man up and gets him inside one of the fake buildings for cover. "Stay still. I'm going to see if that guy needs help." Shinsou looks out the door and sees that the teen has already destroyed the robot. Kirishima looks back at Shinsou and waves.

"I'm going to go ahead. If you can't fight the robots, then help the other examinees if they get hurt!" Kirishima runs off.

"Will you be alright if I leave?" Shinsou asked.

"Y-yeah…" The teen nods. Shinsou leaves to find more people to help. The exam is a lost cause for someone like him. But if he can help someone, even in the slightest, then he'll do it.

V

Mina is having the time of her life at the moment. Sliding and slipping pass robots and melting their joints. It's shame that everyone has been separated into different zones. If they were all together then they would really show the UA staff what they could do. She can't help but wonder how the boys are doing?

"Whoa!" She slides under a robot and brings her hands together. She fires a volley of corrosive droplets at the robot. The robot falls to the ground, holes littering its body. "Man! All of that training really paid off!" She cheers. Sadly, she just remembers something.

"Ah crap… I lost count of all of my points…" She sighs. "Well… I'll just keep going and going!" She runs deeper into the city, looking for more robots to melt. As for one electric teen, he's completely surrounded by a whole platoon of robots. He smirks, electricity crackling all around him.

"Guess what morons! You activated my trap card!" He shocks them all indiscriminately and powers them down. Thanks to Dekiru's training, he has better control over his wattage. Before his training if he had used his patented ten million indiscriminate shock then he would be out for the count.

"Did you really just shout that?" Someone said. He turns and looks to see a girl with short dark purple hair. She has long earlobes that look like stereo jack cables. She's dressed in a light purple track suit.

"Oh c'mon! Don't you have something you always wanted to say when fighting villains?" The girl shrugs.

"Yeah. But not ancient memes." The girl said mockingly. "Anyways, I got to rack up more points, later." She leaves.

"Okay Kaminari, focus! You can only do that attack two more times before you scramble your brain. You can do this, just got to find more robots!" Kaminari runs off to find more robots.

V

Inside an observatory, the teachers of UA watch as many of the hero aspirants battle the robots. Some of them employ recon, while others rely on brute force. So far, the leaderboards show that Bakugo and Kirishima are both in first and second place.

Toshinori isn't too surprised by Bakugo's performance, that young man is a natural born fighter. The same goes for Kirishima, he not only displaying his fighting prowess but his heroic heart as well. Ashido and Kaminari are doing excellent as well. The pink girl has amazing control over her quirk and is quite the acrobatic. Lastly, the electric teen is also displaying amazing control over his quirk, a far cry from his scrambling his brains when using his full power once. Sadly, he has finally reached his limits, taking out five three point robots. Luckily the teen he met a year ago is there to safeguard Kaminari. If Hitoshi keeps this up then he'll be the only examinee to get into the hero course solely on rescue points.

"I have to say, these four are doing really well." Midnight comments. "They were a part of that clean up crew of yours right?" She asked All Might.

"Yes." He nods. "But Dekiru did most of the teaching."

"Getting pointers from the legendary hero himself? Man, if the other pros hear about this, they'll be swimming in internship offers." Snipe comments.

"It would explain why they seem so confident, shame about that electric boy though." Midnight said.

"He could only use his quirk once at full power." All Might explains. "Thanks to Midoriya, Kaminari has better control over his quirk and can freely control the amount of electricity." The way he had Kaminari learn how to control his quirk was simple yet ingenious.

"How did he learn?" Thirteen asked.

"He had him power appliances." All Might answers. Sure, he destroyed five toasters, but once he got that down, they moved on and on until Kaminari could power a small kitchen. "He could power a small fridge, a microwave and a toaster all at once for thirty seconds."

"So, he taught him control." Aizawa said, slightly impressed. "But he couldn't do anything about his output."

"Midoriya believes that with enough time and training his wattage will increase." Toshinori answers.

"It seems that young Ashido is doing quite well." Thirteen comments. "She has amazing control over her quirk."

"And she's quite flexible." Midnight adds. "Being able to move like that in a fight will really confuse villains."

"Nezu, do you think its time?" Vlad asked. The rat nods and presses his paw on a large big red button.

V

Katsuki can feel his arms ache. This happens when he overuses his quirk, but he won't let this slow him down. He powers though the pain, he doesn't want to waste a single second. The exam is almost over, he should be looking for more robots to increase his score. Suddenly, there's a loud noise that echoes across the exam site. Everyone watches as one of the buildings open up revealing the dreaded Zero Point robot. The massive robot reels back its fist and punches the ground. The attack destroys the road and kicks up a massive dust cloud. All of the examinees begin to run in a panic, forgetting about the exam. Katsuki realized that this is his chance to hunt down more robots.

"Someone, help me!" A voice shouts. He looks and sees the girl who stopped him from face planting on the concrete. Memories flash of a young messy haired boy about to take a plunge to end his life.

Ochaco Uraraka watches as the teen in front of her explodes towards the zero like a rocket. Katsuki readies himself for one last attack. This was the attack he spent so long working on. He spins like a tornado as he blasts himself towards the zero pointer. He arrives at the face plate of the zero pointer and detonates all of the explosive energy he had collected.

"HOWIZTER IMPACT!" The head of the Zero Pointer explodes. This attack is the most powerful move up Katsuki's sleeve, The Howitzer Impact. This was the special attack he was working on. It's thanks to all of that training under Dekiru that he was able to use such an awesome attack.

'Heh…' Katsuki smirks. 'That was the Zero Pointer… So much for that… Wait…' Adrenaline begins to wear off and reality starts to set in. He starts to fall fast and hard to the ground.

"It's no problem…" Katsuki tries to use his quirk to slow his descent, but all he gets are sparks. "Oh… Shit…" Using his quirk for an extensive amount of time and then using his special move has all but overexerted his quirk. He falls faster and faster to the ground and with no way to stop his fall he's going to become a red smear on the ground.

'All I need is one good blast!' He uses his quirk again, but still only gets small sparks. "Damn it! C'mon!" He was going to die before he could become a hero.

Just as he's about to hit the ground, someone slaps him across the face. He's floating in the air. He looks and sees the girl who helped him at the entrance.

"R-Release…" She said weakly. The robot she used to elevate herself and Katsuki hit the ground. Katsuki slowly stands up and looks at the girl.

"Thanks for the…" The girl retches and begins to puke. "Save…" That has to be one of the worst cases of quirk backlash he's ever seen. Speaking of backlash, Katsuki looks at his hands and sees that their bright red and swollen, he can barely close his fists.

"THE EXAM IS OVER!" Announced Present Mic.

"Good work everyone." A short old lady said as she makes her way to Katsuki. "Oh my! Does this happen often?"

"No." Katsuki answers.

"Must be because you overused your quirk. Here…" Her lips pucker up and she kisses his hand.

'Gross…' Katsuki thought to himself. He watches as the swelling shrinks and the color of his skin returns to normal.

"How are you feeling dearie?" She asked.

"Good… But tired…" He yawns. "Is there anything after this?" He asked. Recovery Girl shakes her head.

"Once your medically clear your free to go." He makes his way out of the testing site.

V

Three days have passed since the test. Katsuki is relaxing in his room, not by choice. His mother found out that he overdid it with his quirk and forced him to stop his training. To say he was bored is an understatement, he needed to do something or he'll go insane.

"KATSUKI! IT'S HERE!" His mother shouts. The teen shots up from his bed and makes his way to the door. He opens the door and takes the letter from his mother and slams the door. "Don't slam the door you brat!" He makes his way to his desk and opens the letter. Inside is a ring shaped device. The device turns on showing a hologram projection of large bipedal mouse.

"Greeting Katsuki Bakugo! I am the principal of UA High school, Nezu. I am here to announce your results from the exam!" The mouse announces. "You scored seventy seven villain points, but that's not all. Due to your actions, you've been rewarded rescue points! These points are rewarded to examinees who save others." Katsuki is shocked at his score.

1st Katsuki Bakugou 77 villain points-60 rescue points.

"Congratulations Bakugou. You are now apart of UA's hero course. Your hero academia begins!" The projection turns off. Katsuki smirks at the results. He can't wait to brag about this to everyone.

"Hell yeah!"

"Katsuki! Did you pass!?" Mitsuki shouts.

"Of course, I did! First place!" A few seconds later, his parents open the door to his room.

"Congratulations Katsuki!" His father smiles. "I knew you could do it!"

"All that training with Izuku really paid off. We should celebrate, I'll call him over for dinner—" Katsuki interrupts his mother.

"He's going to be busy with hero work hag." Katsuki said. "Having him over is nice, but having over one too many times is going to cause trouble."

"He is right Mitsuki." Masaru speaks up. "Don't you remember we were being tailed a few days ago?" Hearing this makes Katsuki explode.

"You were being follow!?" Mitsuki shrugs at her son.

"I managed to lose him. It was just some nosey journalist."

"You sure it wasn't a villain?" Katsuki asked. She nods her head.

"The office told me that someone from the press came over. according to the secretary, he was asking questions about us. They even told us what car he drove." Katsuki's nerves calm down.

"Fine… Whatever," The family goes downstairs to celebrate Katsuki's victory.

V

The next day, Katsuki meets up with the squad to inform them of his success. They also informed him that they all got in as well. He wasn't surprised that Kirishima got in, after all he was in second place. What surprised him was Mina and Denki passing, well barely passing the written exam portion, he thought they would flop. He knew that they would do well in the practical exam after all the training they did.

"Woohoo! We're all going to UA!" Mina cheers.

"Hell yeah! We're on top of the world!" Denki cheers with her.

"Don't get cocky sparky. Just because you got in doesn't mean you'll stay in, especially with your garbage grades." Katsuki chides.

"I know…" Denki's mood deflates.

"Don't even get me started with your quirk. Sure, it's strong but without all the training you did, you would be nothing but a one pump chump." The electric teen becomes irate at Katsuki.

"Don't word it like that!" The teen blushes.

"Don't worry kaminari! My grades aren't much better either." The pink girl snickers. "Anyways, do you guys want to go somewhere and celebrate?" Kirishima shakes his head.

"Nah… I'm going to keep training. I have to make sure I'm in top shape." Katsuki agrees with the black haired teen.

"Same here. We have a few months before UA. We can't slack off just because we passed." Hearing this from Katsuki and Eijiro makes Mina pout.

"God! It's always training with you two! Can't you just relax for a few days!" Mina exclaims, annoyed at the young men. Kirishima chuckles at Mina's pouting.

"Hey, I'm available." Denki smiles. "Maybe we can hang out."

"Nah, that's okay." Katsuki laughs.

"HA! Shot down in just a few seconds. Later losers!" The group splits up, going their separate ways.

V

Months later and now it's spring, the beginning of the first term at UA has finally begun. Katsuki makes his way inside the building and makes his way to class 1-A. He enters the classroom and sees a few familiar faces. Ashido and Kaminari are talking to a teen with spikey red hair. He makes his way to the three and speaks.

"Hey losers, who's the dumbass with the shitty hair?" Hearing this makes the pink girl snicker.

"It's Kirishima!" Mina answers. Katsuki raises one of his eyebrows.

"Huh!?" The now red headed teen nods.

"Yeah man! What do you think?" Eijiro asks.

"You look like a cheap knock of Crimson Riot." Katsuki taunts.

"Hey, c'mon dude! That wasn't necessary!" Kirishima spots a familiar young teen with purple hair. "Dude!" The teen looks back at Kirishima confused. "You made it! It was totally manly that you saved all those people!"

"Do I know you?" Hearing this makes Katsuki and Mina laugh.

"It's me! The guy with the hard skin!" The newly red headed teen answers.

"Oh… I didn't recognize you… The name is Shinso Hitoshi. Nice to meet you."

"Same here! I'm Kirishima Eijiro, that's Ashido, Kaminari and Bakugo!" The purple haired student smiles lightly.

"Nice to meet you." He said to the group. They make their way to their seats and sit down. Bakugo has his feet on top of his desk relaxing, waiting for the teacher to come enter the classroom. That's when the tall blue haired kid enters the classroom and makes a bee line towards him.

"Take your feet off this desk this instant!" The teen scolds.

"Huh!? Why should I? I'm just relaxing."

"It's disrespectful to those who have come before us!" The teen exclaims. Katsuki scoffs at the explanation.

"They probably did the same thing too. Just piss off and leave me alone." A young girl with rosy cheeks enters the room. She spots Katsuki and quickly makes her way over to the teen.

"Its you! The teen with the explosion quirk! It was awesome how you blew up that zero pointer!" The girl pumps her fists up and down, excited. "How's your hands?" She asked.

"Better." Katsuki answers.

"You two know each other?" The tall teen asked.

"Well—" The door opens and reveals a tall man dress in all black.

"Okay, all of you sit down." They do as they were told and make their way to their seats. "It took you eight seconds to all sit down, that's illogical." Uraraka raises her hand. "Before you ask, yes, I'm your homeroom teacher. My name is Aizawa shota." He pulls out a UA gym uniform. "Put these on and meet me out on the field."

V

"A quirk apprehension test?" Izuku repeats what All Might told him. It was after All Might's first day as a teacher at UA. The hero watched all of the students in class 1-A perform the apprehension test. "And he threatened to expel them all if they don't do good enough."

"It was just a ruse, nothing more." All Might said, defending Aizawa's methods. While All Might doesn't agree with the man, he certainly can motivate someone.

"Still… Not all quirks are the same. Some aren't built around fitness and are situational." All Might nods.

"Yes. Young Shinsou had that problem. Luckily, he used his quirk to have the other students to do some of the exercises for him. It's called brainwashing." Hearing this makes Izuku worry about the young man.

"I just hope he would be ostracized by the class." All Might shakes his head.

"They didn't seem to care too much about his quirk." Hearing this relieves Izuku.

"That's good. Mental superpowers have a bad reputation." Izuku's smartphone vibrates. He looks at the notification and sees that it's another request from another top ten pro hero.

"Another request?" All Might asked.

"Yes. This time it comes from the Dragoon hero Ryukyu. One of her sidekicks is recovering from an injury and she needs someone to take her sidekick's place." He explains.

"Do you plan on going?" Izuku nods.

"Yes. It will be a good chance to see how a top hero operates an agency. If I'm going to have one of my own then I need to learn as much as I can." Izuku explains.

"You're quite diligent." All Might comments. "I'm sure Ryukyu would love to work with you."

V

Izuku arrives incognito at Ryukyu's agency. The press is out in force since they heard a rumor about Ryukyu and himself working together. He didn't have this problem with Miruko since she operates differently from a normal hero. He enters the agency and pulls off his hood. Once inside, he's greeted by a young teenager with long light blue hair, dressed in what appears to be her hero costume. It's a skin tight suit that's dark blue and light green with spiral themed arm braces and anklets. Once the girl spots Izuku she makes a bee line towards the hero.

"Hey! Hey! Are you the legendary hero that everyone is talking about?" The girl asked. Izuku nods. "Wow! It's so strange that you came from the past. How did you travel to the future? Was it a time machine?"

"It wasn't a time machine, just a very powerful quirk." Izuku answers. "I'm here to see Ryukyu. She sent in a request because one of her sidekicks is on the bench."

"Oh yeah! Miss Mirror is recovering from a villain attack. That jerk didn't fight fair. He attacked her from behind when her shield was facing forward." She complains.

"That's to be expected when it comes to villains." A new voice said. Izuku looks and see a tall woman with short blond hair and piercing yellow eyes. She's wearing a dark red qipao with yellow claw marks on the bottom. She also has a pair of red knee-high boots and a pair of grey shoulder length sleeves on her arms. Lastly, she has a headband that has four claws covering her face and a pair of black wings behind her head.

"You're Ryukyu? My name is- well I guess you already know who I am." Izuku chuckles.

"That's right. I've heard stories about you Midoriya. I've seen you in action, you live up to your reputation." She offers her hand and Izuku shakes it. "I see you met with Nejire-chan. She just started her third year at UA and is on her way to become a pro hero."

"Will she be joining us on patrol?"

"Yes. It will do her some good to see you in action."

"Not sure how much I can teach her. She seems to be on the fast track to being a great hero." Izuku comments.

"You really think so!?" Nejire asked.

"One way to find out. Let me gear up and we'll go on patrol. Is there a place where I can change?" Izuku asked.

"Right this way." Ryukyu leads Izuku to the locker room. Once changed he follows the dragon hero to her office where four sidekicks and Nejire are waiting She makes her way to her desk and sits down. "Sorry for the wait everyone, time for today's meeting. I'm sure you know that Miss Mirror is out of commission due to an injury. Because of this I requested that Dekiru join us." The sidekicks look at Izuku in awe and wonder.

"How long will she be out of action ma'am?" One of Ryukyu's sidekicks asked.

"Thanks to the help of a healing quirk, a week. She would have been off half a year without said healing quirk." Ryukyu answers. The sidekicks grumble, angry at the villain who harmed one of their own. "I know that all of you are angry and you have a right to be. But you can't let that anger cloud your judgement."

"Is the villain still free?" Izuku asked. The dragon hero nods.

"Yes. He calls himself The Ripper. He's a madman that believes that he's the reincarnation of Jack the Ripper." She explains.

"Jack the Ripper? Wasn't he a killer from England?" Nejire ponders.

"He's pre quirk serial killer that was alive in the late nineteenth century." Izuku answers. "He had taken the lives of five women when he was active. He was never caught."

"He was never caught!?" Nejire is shocked. "How!?"

"Narrow alleyways, overcrowded cities, meticulous planning on Jack's part and forensic science was nonexistent. At the time, London never seen the kind of murderer Jack the Ripper before, this was the city's first instance of a serial killer." Izuku explains.

"And we're dealing with some lunatic that thinks he's the reincarnation of Jack the Ripper." A silver haired sidekick groans, annoyed.

"That's right, but it's not the nineteenth century and we have much more resources to help find him." Ryukyu said. "According to the police reports, he's still in the city. We'll split up and patrol the area where he was last seen. Nejire-chan, go with Dekiru, everyone else is with me. We have a plan to lure out The Ripper, but be wary of potential victims." With her last piece said, the meeting ends.

Once it's evening, the Ryuku agency and Izuku sets out to hunt down The Ripper. In order to lure out the villain, one of the sidekicks' volunteers to be bait. The Ripper is known to target young women so what's better then having one of Ryuku's sidekicks to lure him out. Nejire and Izuku watch from the rooftops so no one spots them and draws attention to the two of them. They spot someone following the sidekick.

"Do you think that's…" Nejire wonders.

"No… That's not him." Izuku answers.

"How can you tell?"

"Body language Nejire-chan. Look at how he's moving and his posture. It looks like the man just got off a hard day of work." He points out. "Even if he's our guy, it would be his off day."

"Off day?" Nejire looks at Izuku with confusion.

"Serial killers aren't homicidal maniacs killing people left and right. If The Ripper is smart then he'll be laying low until the heat cools off." Nejire begins to think.

"So, we might not get The Ripper tonight." She pouts, disappointed.

"Maybe, but there's still a chance he'll show himself tonight. If he doesn't show up tonight, then we'll try again tomorrow with a different tactic." Dekiru said.

"Right!" She looks and sees the sidekick being accosted by a drunk salary man. "Oh! That stupid drunk, he's going to ruin our operation!"

"Now hold on a second…" Izuku points out a man making his way to the salary man and sidekick. He scolds the man and demands he leave. The salary man takes a swing towards the man but he simply sidesteps and trips the drunk.

"Well, that's nice of him." Nejire comments. Dekiru glares at the man who helped the sidekick. The man is offering to walk the sidekick home. She agrees and they walk together.

"Be ready for anything Nejire-chan." Dekiru gets himself ready, adjusting his gloves. "That's could be our guy."

"Really, but he saved her?" Nejire is confused.

"It could be a ploy. We need to follow them." Dekiru announces. "Let's go!" They quickly follow.

"Thank you for helping me." The woman said. "That man just wouldn't take no for an answer. It surprised me, normally people would be turned away since my quirk makes me look like a cyclops." Her savior nods.

"Alcohol tends to do that to people." The man comments. "I'm just glad you're alright. So, you live in the area?" He asked.

"No, I'm making my way to the train station." She answers.

"Oh, I know a shortcut." The man leads her into a dark alleyway. "So, what do you do for a living?"

"I'm an accountant for a support company." She answers.

"I see…"

"What about you? What's your job?" She asked.

"I clean up the streets." He answers.

"A garbage man? You don't look like one."

"I know." The sidekick can feel the edge in his voice. She turns and quickly glares at him. The man has a combat knife in his hands, ready to strike. However, he's frozen in place by some force. "Wh-What!? Why can't I move." The killer is covered in a light purple aura, stopping him in his tracks.

"I lied to you earlier. I'm not some accountant." She rips off the brown wig and lets her wavy dark purple hair free. Located on her scalp are ten thin stalks, each one has a slit eye and all of them are glaring at the villain. "The name is Beholder, the gazing hero." She proudly declares. "Don't try anything, my quirk has stopped you in your tracks!"

"The… Gazing… Hero?"

"I work as a sidekick with Ryukyu. You attacked and wounded Miss Mirror and slain several others. You're under arrest Ripper!" The villain chuckles. "What's so funny villain?"

"Did you forget?" A Razor wire tendril burst out of the palm of his free hand. "I have a quirk too!" The tendril slices her leg. She screams and falls down, breaking her gaze and freeing the Ripper. "Better make this quick!" He prepares to throw the knife into Beholder's single eye. Suddenly, a stream of fire hits the man's hand, burning it and knocking the knife out of his hand.

"Hey, hey!" A voice behind him shouts. He looks behind him and sees a teenage girl floating. "Why are you trying to kill Beholder? She didn't do anything to you!"

"Since he believes he's the reincarnation of Jack the Ripper, I'm sure he tried to emulate his motives." The Ripper begins to sweat when he sees the legendary hero himself walk out of the darkness. "Since Jack targeted women, he decided to target women too. Ripper, surrender at once."

"Shut up!" Razor wires tendrils eject out of his back towards Nejire. Acting quickly, she flies up, dodging the attack. The tendrils change there trajectory and descend on Beholder. Dekiru fires a blast of pressurized hot air to send the villain flying back. Ripper uses the razor wires to catch himself from sliding back any further. He begins to lash out at the two heroes, his razor wires whipping about.

"Stand still and die!" He shouts.

"Dekiru! Nejire!" Beholder shouts. The heroes move out of her line of sight and she activates her quirk, her eyes glow purple, causing the villain to freeze in place including his razor wires. Her quirk, petrification, places multiple people or one person in a stasis field as long as she has her eyes on them. It doesn't work on what she can't see like someone's internal organs or something hidden under the skin. Breaking eye contact with anyone will cause the petrifaction to be undone. Since his razor wires were hidden, she couldn't stop the wires. With all of her eyes focused on Ripper, he now has no means to escape. "Now hit him with everything you got!"

"Nejire wave!" The spiral hero launches a blast of spiral energy at the villain. The attack sends the villain flying back into the streets, his back hits a guard rail and he crumples to the ground.

"Do you think." He begins to slow begins to stand up. "That attack would stop me!" He roars. "I am Jack the Ripper reborn! I will—" Suddenly, something crashes in front of The Ripper. It wasn't something, but someone. Ryukyu glares at the villain, her dragon form terrifying the hardened criminal.

"Ripper." She growls deeply. "You are under arrest for the murder of four women and assault of a pro hero!" Realizing he's been beaten, the Ripper surrenders to the heroes.

Once the villain has been handed back to the police, the heroes return to the agency for debriefing. Beholder wasn't present since she's receiving medical attention for her leg wound. Inside Ryukyu's office, the dragoon hero sits at her desk before her sidekicks, Nejire and Dekiru

"Everyone did an amazing job today." Ryukyu said proudly. "We captured the Ripper and stopped his killing spree. Beholder's wounds have been treated. The laceration wasn't too deep but she'll be off duty until it fully heals. All of you did amazing work. Everyone is dismissed. Dekiru and Nejire-chan can you stay for a minute." All of the sidekicks leave except for the two.

"Is there something you want to discuss?" Dekiru asked.

"How was Nejire-chan Dekiru?" The dragon hero asked. She's had interns and work study students before but none of them were energetic like Nejire. Everyone learns differently and Nejire wasn't like her other interns. Despite her bubbly personality and absent mindedness, she's quick to learn.

"She's on the cusp of becoming a hero." Izuku comments. "There's not much I could teach her." He answers.

"Oh c'mon!" Nejire blushes. "You're just being nice! I almost jumped the gun when that drunk started harassing Beholder."

"Which is why it pays to be patient. You also showed great restraint and control when using your quirk. Attacking Ripper with your quirk when we cornered him would have gotten Beholder caught in the cross fire. I did notice that the speed of your energy blast is a bit slow. Is that normal?" She nods.

"Yep. All of my attacks come out in spirals so there a bit slow." Izuku begins to think. He wonders if there is a way for her attacks to become quick and precise.

"To be honest, I don't really think you need any advice from me." Izuku said. "Ryukyu and UA have done a great job with your training."

"Thank you for that vote of confidence Dekiru." Ryukyu smiles gently. "It means a lot coming from you. The two of you are dismissed." They leave Ryukyu's office. As they walk towards the locker rooms, Nejire begins to speak.

"So, what do you think of Ryukyu?" She asked.

"She's a hard-working hero. It's no wonder she made it in the top ten." He answers.

"I know right! She's just the coolest hero!" Izuku smiles at Nejire's optimism.

"If she keeps it up, she may become the number one hero someday." They go into their separate locker room to change. Once finished, it was time for Dekiru to leave.

"See you later Midoriya!" Nejire waves. "I'll give Beholder your regards." The hero says his good byes and leaves the Ryukyu agency.
