Chapter 9: The Royal Wedding (Part 1)
Love is in the air in the town of BubbleTucky! The moment of truth has come! Finally, Molly Gentilella and Gil Gordon will be united in holy matrimony and the public ceremony was being fussily planned. The day started with a very hectic morning. From very early on, all the relatives, friends and acquaintances got to work to prepare all the necessary logistics for this large-scale celebration. To begin with, the location of the ceremony would be the Royal Castle of BubbleTucky, a place that belonged to the royal family under the command of the current Queen Demanda, who agreed to be a sponsor for the wedding of her friend, the Honorary Princess Molly.
The vast majority of the inhabitants of BubbleTucky were guests of the ceremony and in turn, they helped with the organization of the event. We will focus on one of the rooms of the royal castle, where Demanda allowed the groom to prepare for the ceremony. We can see our hyperactive guppy in his own groom's outfit. His clothing consisted of a white shirt with a dark blue vest and pants. In addition to wearing a dark blue bowtie. He had a white flower on his chest. The typical groom's suit at his wedding. Except this wedding wasn't a normal wedding. The theme was royalty. So Gil's suit had a few variables. He had gold trimmings on his waistcoat, as well as yellow epaulets. Thus giving the impression that Gil was some kind of prince. The boy was being very careful with his appearance, so he was looking closely at his reflection in the mirror.
"Finally, it's today" Gil said to himself while brushing his signature blue hair.
"Arf Arf Arf!" Bubble Doggy barked happily. The police dog had a black bow on its collar.
"I'm glad you're here, my friend ... .Don´t forget your role" Gil told his dog as he stroked its ears. While he was doing that, a couple entered the room.
"My Gil…My son….snif…Finally my son will become a man ... a married man!" She was Gil´s mom.
"Sooner or later this day will come. Congratulations, champ" Gil´s dad added with a smile.
"Mom! Dad! I really feel excited...and nervous at the same time...It's just...it's still hard to believe that I'm actually going to marry Molly. I feel that today will be the best day of my life" Gil expressed his feelings.
"I totally understand you, son. You know? Seeing all this reminds me of when your mother and I got married. I admit that I was about to run away for fear of commitment..." His father commented. That caused both Gil and his mom to look at him confused. They believed that this did nothing to calm Gil's nerves "Ahem…huh….What I want to say is that I know that you don't have that fear. You are a man capable of taking care of her. What I mean by all this is...well…Gil...enjoy your happiness...I know you handle this better than me" He decided to change his words properly.
"Son, I'm proud of you...and I want you to be happy with Molly" Mrs. Gordon smiled at her son.
"Thank you two for working together to raise me, despite your differences. In a way, you loved each other in your own way...by loving me at the same time" Gil expressed.
"And we will continue to love you forever. It doesn't matter if you are a child, youth or adult... You can always count on your mother" His mom said with happy tears. Gil decided to hug her. Mr. Gordon was uncomfortable if he should hug his ex-wife. But Gil looked at him and without saying a word, invited him to join the hug. His father decided to hug his son and his ex-partner. The Gordon family showed their affection in that hug.
"Hmm...I hope I'm not interrupting something important" The Gordon family members broke from their embrace when they heard that voice.
"Oh! Hi, Goby…Come here" Gil called him. Goby appeared with two more friends: Nonny and Urchin. The three gentlemen had their most elegant suits as the groom's wedding companions.
"Hello!" Nonny and Urchin greeted them.
"How are the preparations going?" Gil asked them.
"The decoration is almost finished. The cooks began their work. Guests are confirming their attendance. Quite a few relatives of both families have arrived... And some details that we need your approval" Nonny explained that while reviewing his notes on the papers on his clipboard.
"In addition, you must attend to security issues. They are as strict as you asked" Urchin added.
"Hmmm let´s go, guys" Gil decided to go with his friends and parents to the Royal Hall, where the ceremony will take place.
The place was huge with the capacity to accommodate a large number of people. There were many guests performing the necessary tasks for the time of the ceremony. Many of them are characters we know. At that moment, one of them came over to greet the fiancé.
"Greetings, guppy friends!" She was Princess Demanda, or rather Queen Demanda.
"Hello, your highness!" Gil said before he bowed.
"Hehehe…There is no need for that for today. Today is your day, Gil" Demanda said with a kind smile.
"I don't know how to thank you for everything you do for us" The groom asked happily.
"Anything for my friend, Princess Molly... Besides, the Crown can't refuse to turn its back on Sir Nonny the Nice's request" The Queen winked at them.
"Well... Molly and I organized this with the queen" Nonny admitted.
"I would love to continue talking with you...But I have many things to do...See you at the wedding!" Queen Demanda had to retire to continue working on wedding preparations.
"Good morning, boys!"
"Mr. Grouper!" The four guppies greeted them. Our beloved professor had his elegant suit for the occasion.
"Today is a great day... Don't you think so, Gil?" Mr. Grouper asked happily.
"You said it, Mr. G!" He answered.
"Wow...time goes by so fast...you were little kids first...and now you're getting married...I feel like I'm getting old" The big orange fish said funnily. The guppies giggled a bit.
"By the way...Where is your wife?" Goby asked curiously.
"Oh! She's with Molly and the girls. You know, the bride needs a lot of attention before the wedding" Mr. Grouper explained.
"Makes sense to me" Urchin answered.
"I worry about Molly...I should text her" Gil said nervously.
"Nope. Nothing to see the bride before the ceremony" Goby denied.
"Come on, man. Are you really that superstitious?" The groom asked funnily.
"I do not believe in that. However, it would be more magical if we keep that aura of mystery and surprise...It is more romantic" Nonny answered.
"Besides, Molly is in good hands. The girls know what they're doing" Urchin added.
"(sigh) I think they're right...I guess I'll just wait…" Gil commented.
"The boys and I will take care of more details. You just get some fresh air and try to relax before time" Mr. Grouper advised him. They simply withdrew, leaving the groom alone. Before Gil left, he received a nice visit.
"Hi, mate!" Two people very familiar to Gil appeared.
"Oh! Miranda! Anderson!" He recognized them.
"We are glad to see you before the ceremony begins" Officer Miranda said happily.
"In addition, we must inform you that the security of the wedding is assured" Anderson said with a proud smile.
"We are in charge of directing security... Well, we and other friends" Miranda winked at him.
"Other friends?" Gil asked confusedly.
"GIL!" Three different voices called out to him at the same time. Gil recognized those three people.
"GUYS!" They were his police friends: Alex, Todd and surprisingly Darcy. All of them along with officers Miranda and Anderson had special clothing as if they were members of the royal guard.
"Hi, my dearest friend!" Alex hugged Gil.
"It's good to see you on this special day" Todd said quietly.
"Folks...nice to see all of you...Ouch!" The groom said before he felt a friendly punch on his arm.
"Did you miss me, pretty boy?" Darcy asked with a smirk.
"Darcy! I'm surprised to see you here. I thought you couldn't come" Gil was surprised.
"Well...it's not that I wanted to come to the wedding...it's just...they assigned me the security surveillance of the ceremony. That's all" Darcy crossed her arms seriously.
"Please Darcy! You insisted a lot on gathering the best agents for security. You really went the extra mile for this event. You obviously wanted to be here" Alex commented with a funny smile.
"Hmmm….kinda…" Darcy tried to hide her blush.
"Anyway, all of us are assured of safety... Look!" Alex pointed to a squad of members from the Royal Guard. They were all lobstermen in blue military uniforms with a long black hat resembling bearskins. They all had a rifle and they all gave a military salute.
"Wow…" Gil was speechless.
"The castle will be filled with the best members of the Royal Guard. No one will be able to leave or enter without us noticing. The castle and the nearby stables are full of surveillance cameras. Courtesy of the BubbleTucky Police Department. Todd is in charge of monitoring the cameras. In addition, we deploy agents undercover all around the castle. Also, Molly will be escorted on her way here. Everything is monitored and security is at its maximum. We all want to prevent something from happening to the bride" Anderson explained all the security protocol.
"I can´t…believe it ...Really thank you all so much...I can't believe all you have done for us" Gil was surprised.
"You deserve the best. It's what we can do after saving this city and our families" Miranda reminded the Bubble Guppies´ greatest exploit.
"You are our best friend! Obviously we must be here for you" Alex said excitedly.
"Many thanks, friends. Now, I think I'll go get some fresh air. I need to control my nerves before the ceremony" The blue-haired guppy commented.
"Very good. See you soon!" Miranda said before the groom left the place.
He decided to have a glass of water and drink it before leaving the castle to visit the royal gardens. He reflected on the great magnitude of the event that was being prepared. It was not a simple wedding, literally all his family, friends and acquaintances would be present. The number of people involved in the celebration was amazing. That said a lot about the quality of people Molly and Gil were. The boy did not feel as grateful as now. However, his own thoughts made him a little uncomfortable. Obviously, the fear and doubt of what would come next eats away at him from the inside. However, Gil was sure of his love for Molly. Then he just calmed down a bit and noted the time thanks to his wristwatch. The time of the ceremony was near!
While all this was happening we will focus on the residence of the Gentilella Family, where we can see a young adult guppy with her beautiful white wedding dress on. She was being attended to by other guppy girls. She watched through the mirror as her bridesmaids were preparing her for the wedding.
"I can't believe today is the day girls! I'm going to marry Gilly!" Molly said happily.
"That's why we're here. Your dream is now reality" Oona said as she was manicuring the bride's nails.
"And so Princess Molly marries Prince Gil...and they live happily ever after" Deema said so excitedly while she was the one brushing the bride's hair and preparing a special hair style.
"I think Deema is exaggerating a bit...As always...But she has a point. We are happy for you and I hope you are happy together" Zooli told her. She was in charge of the accessories that Molly would wear in addition to her classic dress. Since the ceremony was themed around royalty, the bride had to dress like a princess. Finally the girls were done with Molly and the result was just beautiful. Our pink haired guppy had a beautiful white wedding dress. On top of that, she wore accessories referring to royalty. She possessed a tiara held up by a headband very similar to the one she wore in the famous Glitter Games. She wore earrings and a pendant necklace, both made of light blue stones. Definitely, we are in front of a princess about to marry her prince.
"How do I look?" Molly asked with a shy smile.
"You look….BEAUTIFUL!" Deema shouted excitedly.
"You are the most beautiful bride I have ever seen" Oona added happily.
"Gil won't be able to resist that, girl" Zooli winked at her.
"Thank you so much for helping me on this, girls. You have always been there for me and Gilly...You are the best bridesmaids in the world!" Molly expressed her gratitude.
"Please don't continue...You're going to make me cry..snif.." Deema said dramatically. At that moment, a few more people entered the room.
"You are beautiful, dear!" Miriam said that with a very happy tone. Her father... on the other hand.
"My….snif…My little girl…snif….I didn't think this day would come so soon. My dear little princess...in the hands of another man" Robert had some tears in his eyes. He had tears of happiness and sadness at the same time.
"Are you ready, big sister?" Mia said with a tiny smile.
"I think I'm ready. We're almost leaving...Mom...Dad...Thank you very much for everything. I want you to know that although I am about to start my own life and family... you will always be in my heart and neither I nor Gilly will forget you. Thank you very much, because I am the woman I am thanks to my excellent parents. I love you both" Molly said with a smile. Her parents hugged her while they cried a little because of how difficult this little farewell would be. A person was waiting at the door.
"Excuse me...The limo and the escort will arrive soon. Be ready when they arrive. We don't want to delay the ceremony" It was Charlize Grouper.
"Please Duncan! She is the bride, she has the right to be late if she feels like it" Deema said funnily.
"It's true. But we Gentilella have the strange habit of being punctual in everything" Molly giggled a bit.
"I blame my parents and grandparents for that" Robert commented funnily. All of them giggled a bit.
"Let Molly get some rest" Miriam proposed. They all left the future Mrs. Gordon alone. However, she was left alone with a special person, her younger sister.
"I'm still very impressed by the wedding. You are literally getting married in front of the whole town!" Mia commented surprisedly.
"I think this happens because of the popularity we have. I must thank Queen Demanda that she offered to help us... and of course, all those in charge... But yes, a great wedding hehehe" Molly giggled a bit.
"According to Dylan, everything is almost ready…..Wow….how time goes by so fast. I can't believe you're finally getting married" The younger member of the Gentilella family commented.
"Yes, it's something wonderful...But...why do you say it like it's something...bad?" Molly raised her eyebrow.
"N-No! It's nothing bad...I just...well...I...Molly...there's something I've wanted to tell you for a long time...I...well" Mia was getting nervous. She was going to start talking until she was interrupted.
"MOLLY! MIA! They already came for us!" Miriam called them loudly.
"We can talk later, okay?" Molly smiled at her.
"Of course! We can talk...after...the ceremony...of course" Mia said nervously. They both decided to go down to meet the others. At that moment, the members of the escort that would protect Molly and her companions arrived. They got into the limousine and began the journey to the Royal Castle of BubbleTucky, the place of the ceremony.
"But what elegance! Very fine interior of this limousine!" Deema said excitedly.
"I feel like we're celebrities" Oona commented funnily
"Duh! WE ARE famous, friend!" Deema added it.
"I'm very excited... my hands are sweating" Molly said nervously.
"Everything will be fine. Today is your day and it is your party. You must enjoy it to the fullest" Zooli calmed her.
"It's true...This all feels too wonderful to be true" Molly said happily.
"You deserve it Molly. You yourself have built all this. You've been through a lot and this is part of your reward" Mrs. Grouper commented quietly.
"You should know that all of us will be with you throughout this new phase of your life" Molly´s mom said happily.
"But...Don't push yourself into it yet...take it step by step, my dear" Mr. Gentilella added.
"I'll keep it in mind..." Molly smiled at them. The ride felt pretty fast.
"We have arrived at our still, Miss Gentilella...Your wedding awaits" The driver said elegantly. The escort opened the doors of the limousine and all of Molly's companions got out of the vehicle and they contemplated the entrances of the castle. At that precise moment, the bells began to ring.
"Just in time!" Oona said happily.
"(inhale and exhale) Okay…Okay….Here I go…" Saying that, Molly started walking towards the castle entrance. She was ready for the bridal entrance. Without a doubt, the ceremony would begin shortly!
And Boom! I missed putting a cliffhanger in the chapters of this saga. I thought of putting part of the ceremony in this chapter, but it would go on longer than I feel is necessary. Emotions are really in the air. How will this ceremony end?
Please leave your reviews on what you think of this story. Quickly, I will respond to the reviews of the previous chapter.
GojiRaptor06: Nice to see you back, dude! I am glad that you liked the moments of fun and friendship between the boys and girls. It was definitely fun to see the girls teasing Mia about her crush on Dylan. I must admit that I was close to saying that Molly and Gil "did it", but hehe I'm afraid I'll save that for later (wink) I hope you're liking how this wedding begins.
mermaidf: Hi, friend! It was definitely a chapter with comedy, friendship and romance. It's great that the guppies have quiet moments without evil characters getting in the way. I hope you are liking how the wedding begins.
PrimroseRaspberry: Hello, friend! I'm glad you liked the idea that both stories have been connected. What can I tell you about Gil? It does not matter if he is a child or an adult, he will still face his bad luck hehehe. I'm glad you liked the idea that both stories have been connected. What can I tell you about Gil? It doesn't matter if he is a child or an adult, he will still face bad luck from him. The moment Molly and Gil shared at the end was really beautiful. I can assure you that I am working hard to make the wedding something incredible. I can't tell you for sure if Jane will plan something or if she prefers to stay out of it after Gil's threat. Just enjoy what's to come
Here I just say goodbye. I'm ReaderandWriter9000 and we'll see you soon in the next part of "The Royal Wedding!" Do not miss it
