A month had passed since word of the tournament spread like fire, and the reaction to it in squad seven was different.

The women were happy to show they were right about Ash, while the men knew the third seat had the strongest filling his rank.

"So this tournament is between Captain Komamura's 3rd seat and the women from Squad 7?" One soul reaper questioned

"Yeah! And the money after this tournament will be given to the orphans of District 78," another Soul Reaper answered.

"I see. I'm just wondering how Captain Komamura's third seat will do against so many opponents." A third soul reaper said.

"The opponents will draw numbers and go in order, facing him one at a time." A fourth said.

"It seems like a lot of effort for something so trivial." One soul reaper said uncaringly:

'If only you knew the real reason behind this tournament,' another Soul Reaper thought, as they are members of Squad Four.

'I wish I had thought about holding a tournament!' Kenpachi Zaraki the caption of Squad 11 thought.

"Is there something wrong, Zaraki?" Captain Ukitake was questioned.

"No, I just need to have a talk with the head Captain after this tournament is over." Captain Zaraki told the other Captains that he does have a brain.

"Well, this is interesting, isn't it? Tell me something, Captain Unohana, it was your 4th seat who suggested this, right?" Captain Kyoraku was questioned.

"Yes, it was fourth seat Komamura's idea, but I wonder how you found out about it, Captain Kyoraku?" Captain Unohana answered.

"I overheard her conversation with old man Yamma," Kyoraku said.

"I see, and you started a betting pool, didn't you?" Captain Unohana questioned.

"Oh, now that's just insulting. Why would you ever think that?" Kyoraku questioned.

"Your betting book is hanging out." Captain Unohana answered.

Quickly shoving it back in his pocket, Kyoraku sweats.

"I don't know what you're talking about." He said nervously.

"Betting aside, I do wonder how third-seat Ketchum will handle each match." Ask a white-haired Captain.

"Well, Captain Hitsugaya, from what Captain Komamura has told me, third-seat Ketchum is quite formidable in combat." A soul reaper wearing purple sunglasses said.

"How so, Captain Tosen?" Another Captain's question, but this looks like the backside of a cobra's hood with how they smile.

"Simple Captain Ichimaru he has spared against Captain Komamura himself." Tosen said.

"Really? Do you hold back on him, Captain Komamura?" Captain Ichimaru questioned.

"No, I would not dare insult him like that." Komamura said.

"So you use your Bankai against third-seat Ketchum?" Captain Tosen questioned.

"Yes," Komamura said.

The other Captains were shocked at that.

"You actually used your bankai?" Unohana questioned.

Yes, I did," Komamura answered.

"That seems incredibly dangerous," Captain Ukitake said.

"And he was able to hold his own?" Hitsugaya questioned.

"He has been able to hold his own." Komamura answered.

"While not being a Lieutenant, he could have the power to become one." Komamura answered back.

"I see, so the rumors may be true then." Ukitake said.

"What rumors would those be?" Komamura questioned.

"The rumors are that your third seat is capable of going against a menos grande," Ukitake said.

Maybe, but Menos Grande rarely enter the living world, and only fools would try to hunt one in their world." Komamura said

"BTW, Captain Komamura, there's something I wanted to ask you." Kyoraku said.

"What is it?" Captain Komamura questioned.

"Is it true your third seat's mother was a Soul Reaper?" Kyoraku questioned.

"Yes, her name was Delia Ketchum." Komamura answered.

"I see, and do you remember what squad she was in?" Kyoraku questioned.

Sadly, I don't. Do any of you remember?" Komamura questioned.

"I'm afraid not; it's been so long that I believe only the head captain himself knows for sure." Ukitake said.

"Then, Captain Kyoraku, you should ask Head Captain Yamamoto." Komamura said.

"I don't know; maybe I can when he's not busy." Kyoraku said.

Then the aforementioned elderly man had flashed stepped in the middle of the ring.

Well, it looks like he's here." Ukitake said.

All went quiet as every eye landed on the Head Captain.

"Welcome all Soul Reaper Captains, Lieutenants, and seated officers of the 13 Court Gaurd Squads. We are here today to witness a competition between Third Seat Ash Ketchum of Squad 7 and the female Soul Reapers also from Squad 7." Head Captain Yamamoto said

a short lived cheer was let out.

"Now the matches will be determined by drawing numbers, and each Soul Reaper shall take turns fighting third-seat Ketchum in the order of the number they drew." The head captain explained.

"The first one to defeat Third Seat Ketchum will gain his seat," the Head Captain told everyone.

"So without any more waiting, let us begin the event." The head captain said.

The first squad-seven member up was a red-haired Soul Reaper, with their hair cut short and tied into a side ponytail.

"It looks like I'm the first up." She said.

"First up is Misty Waterflower!" the announcer said as the redhead entered the ring.

"Alright, Ash, it's time for payback!" Misty said drawing her Zanpakut.

"Payback? You're not still mad about what happened a while back, are you?" Ash questioned.

"Who won't be mad at that!?" Misty said as she rushed at her fellow squadmate.

"What is she talking about?" Hitsugaya questioned.

"Apparently she wanted to be the third seat but lost it to Ketchum." Komamura said.

Ash steps to the side and sends a blow to the redhead's back.

"What!?" She questioned in shock.

"That is one of the reasons why Captain Komamura had chosen me as his third seat; if you don't keep your emotions in check while in battle, it will cost you!" Ash said as he sent the girl flying out of the ring.

"And the winner of the first bout is third seat Ketchum!" The announcer said.

The next is a thin black soul reaper with brown eyes and short purple hair.

"The next combatant is Iris!" The announcer said.

"And the hits keep on coming." Ash said knowing Iris's reason to enter the tournament was just as pathetic, as Misty's.

"Get ready, Ash, because this is where you lose." She boasted.

"I already said I was sorry for what happened to your hair!" Ash said.

"Sorry won't cut it!" She said.

Everyone in the stands and boxes gave her a deadpanned look.

'What a pathetic brat!' was everyone's shared thought, but one member of Squad Four had more non-family-friendly thoughts.

"Man, you are so petty!' Ash said.

Iris let loose a manic scream as she charged at the third seat.

Ash just sidestepped her and knocked her out of the ring.

'Other short match! Are the women of Squad Seven this weak and pathetic?' were the shared thoughts of Squad 11.

"Let's move on to the next match!" The announcer said.

"Let me shorten the line!" Ash said as he used his spiritual pressure to see how many would still stand and to fight them.

'Shuch spiritual pressure!' All the Captains except Komamura and Tosen thought

90% of the combatants had passed out, while those that were left looked like they still wanted to fight.

"It looks like only a few fighters are left," Komamura said.

'And the academy needs some work!' were the shared thoughts of both Captains and Lieutenants.

"Alright, who's next?" Ash questioned.

A woman with long azure hair steps into the ring.

"Next up is Clair!" The announcer said

"So what is your problem with me?" Ash questioned.

"Just shut up and fight." She said.

Ash blocks Clair's slash.

"What!?" She questioned.

"You don't know that I kept up my training!" Ash said as he pushed back.

"I'm still going to beat you!" She said.

"You need more than raw power to win this fight!" Ash sent Clair back to the edge of the ring.

"Looks like Ketchum has the upper hand!" The announcer said

"Mow'em down, Kotomaru!" Ash said as his Zanpakut changed into its Shikai.

Its new form is a Halberd-like weapon; it has a long, pole-like handle and a double-edged blade. It also contains a small ax-like blade on the top, just above the hilt.

Clair's eyes widen while the watchers wait for her to use her Shikai.

"Maybe that's an odd Shikai." Captain Kyoraku said.

"You haven't seen anything yet, Kyoraku." Komamura said.

"Huh?" Captain Kyoraku questioned.

Ash swings his Zanpakuto, and pillars of flame erupted from the ground.

"What is this?" Clair questioned.

"It's called Rengoku; when I swing my Kotomaru forward, it creates four geysers of flame that trap those they surround." Ash explained.

"Bakudo: number four, Hainawa!" Clair said as ropes made out of yellow energy rapped around Ash's body.

"Now you can't use Rengoku so much for your fire cage idea." Clair said as she was getting ready to jump the flame once they died down a bit.

"I see, with that ability, a group of Hollows would destroy themselves just by trying to escape." Captain Kyoraku said to Captain Komamura

"Yes, however, she is a fool if she thinks a move like that will stop Ketchum." Komamura said.

Ash jumped in the air, and then violet energy surrounded him. When he landed, the Hainawa was gone.

"You really thought you were the first to try that on me!" Ash said as he swung Kotomaru once more.

"Rasen!" He shouted.

Ash raises his Zanpakuto in the air, and violet energy surrounds him and engulfs everything surrounding him.

"What is happening!?" Clair questioned.

"If you thought my Kotomaru only had a single power, then you're dead wrong." Ash said

"Why isn't Clair using her own Shikai?" Captain Tosen questioned.

"Because she is currently unable to move," Komamura said.

"What do you mean by that?" Captain Ukitake was questioned.

"Rasen's side effect is to randomly burn, freeze, shock, or poison anyone caught within the vicinity." Captain Komamura answered.

"That's quite a devastating ability," Ukitake said.

'Shit! I thought his Zanpakuto's element was fire!' Clair thought to herself.

"This is over!" Ash said before twirling his Zanpakuto.

Then a blade on Kotomaru's head began to glow. Ash swings it, and the area it is swung in is engulfed in a blue pillar of energy.

"It's incredible that he's building up so much spirit energy." Ukitake said.

Once all of the pillars had died down, Clair was knocked out and in her birthday suit.

"Oops!" Ash said before quickly covering his eyes.

'He might have gone a bit overboard,' the Captains thought.

"It looks like Ash has won again!" The announcer said he didn't really care about what happened to Clair.

'One down, nine to go!' Nobana thought.

"So who's next?" Ash questioned.

"I think we need to pause the tournament since this last match was so action-packed the ring couldn't handle it!" the announcer said while pointing to the said ring.

'And give me a chance to see how much I lose or gain from your match, kid.' Captain Kyoraku thought as he pulled out his bet book.

Ash waits for the tournament to continue.

"I'm sorry everyone, it would take 20 minutes for Squad Four to repair the ring." The announcer said.

"Man, your third seat has quite a lot of power." Kyoraku said.

"He should be a Lieutenant given how much power he has and the knowledge of how to use it." A captain with a painted face said.

"He should be Kurosutchi; however, I already have a Lieutenant, so he had to become a third seat." Komamura said.

"You could promote Ketchum while demoting your Lieutenant." Captain Zaraki said.

"I'm afraid Ash won't accept that he wants to wait until my current Lieutenant steps down on his own." Komamura said.

"I see your third seat, and I believe your Lieutenant still has time to grow," a white-haired captain said.

"Yes, Captain Hitsugaya." Komamura said.

"So how much did you lose, Kyoraku?" Captain Hitsugaya questioned.

"What? Did you think I bet against the kid, Captain Hitsugaya? I'm hurt." Kyoraku said.

"Then how much did you win, sir?" Captain Kyoraku's lieutenant questioned.

"Let's just say, Nanao, that I won plenty." Kyoraku said.

Most of the other Captains had a deadpanned look.

"By the way, Head Captain Yamamoto, do you remember which squad Delia Ketchum was a part of?" Captain Kyoraku questioned.

"I'm afraid I cannot divulge this information right now." Yamato said.

"I see!?" Captain Kyoraku said, as he knew his teacher wouldn't say that if there were a good reason behind why he couldn't tell anyone right now.

"So if I may ask Captain Komamura, who exactly came up with this idea?" Hitsugaya questioned.

"My sister." Captain Komamura answered that he knew if he didn't, then some of the other Captains wouldn't stop bugging him about it.

"I see. I wonder what caused her to come up with this idea?" Kyoraku questioned.

"I can't say." Captain Komamura answered.

'If I tell you, who knows what Nobana will do as payback? he thought.

"It's because she has feelings for third seat Ketchum and didn't like how the women of squad seven act towards him." Captain Unohana answered.

'Why Captain Unohana!?' Komamura screamed in his head.

All the items in the box were quiet.

"Well, that's interesting." Kyoraku said.

'You don't have to face my sister's fury!' Captain Komamura thought.

"However, it's best if she doesn't know that I told you." Unohana said.

"Too late, both me and Nobana have very good hearing, so you better hope she is too focused on the matches to hear you." Captain Komamura said with a fearful tone in his voice.

'And better you than me,' he thought to himself.

"I've got to say Captain Komamura. I've never heard you sound so scared in my life." Ukitake said.

"Have you heard of a ghost pepper?" Captain Komamura questioned.

They all shook their heads.

"So far, it's the living world's hottest chili pepper!" Captain Komamura told them.

"Really?" Ukitake questioned.

"Yes, and imagine if you tried eating one of those while it was covered in wasabi!" Captain Komamura said.

"Ouch," Kyoraku said.

"And that is the reason why I'm afraid any meals she would make for me if you did something to tick her off the meals will have both the ghost peppers and wasabi in them!" Captain Komamura said.

"Yikes," Kyoraku said.

"And you don't want to go through the aftermath of eating those dishes." Captain Komamura said.

"I see," Ukitake said.

"Yeah, it will take you about six months to go as you used to!" Captain Komamura said with a grim tone in his voice,

'Scary!' the other Captains thought.

"But on the bright side, you're the one," Captain Komamura started as he pointed to Captain Unohana.

"that told the other captains here her secret, so good luck with your meals from now until next year!" he finished.

'Uh oh, Unohana thought.

"Captain, Lieutenants, and seated officers of the 13 Court Gaurd Squads, the tournament will be continued in five minutes." The announcer told everyone.

"Well, that's good." Kyoraku said.

"Agreed," the other captains said together.

Meanwhile, with the Lieutenants.

"This tournament had been fun and funny!" said a short female Soul Reaper with pink hair.

"I know what you mean. Yachiru, who knew third-seat Ketchum was this strong, A red-headed soul reaper said.

"I had to know Rangiku after all; he is part of my squad," said another Soul Reaper with sunglasses.

"I know, Lieutenant Iba, you don't need to brag." Said another Soul reaper with purple hair.

"Go easy on the pool man, Lieutenant Kurotsuchi; he might be switching places with Ketchum," a blonde-haired Soul Reaper said.

"Not for a long time. Lieutenant Kira I'm not going to relinquish my position just yet." Lieutenant Iba said.

"It doesn't matter if either the captain of your squad or someone higher ranking than him can demote you while promoting Ketchum to Lieutenant." said a long, purple-haired female Soul Reaper with a uniform that is short at the belt area.

"Maybe, but Ketchum wants to earn the position his way, and that doesn't involve me being demoted." Iba said.

"With the higher-ups and nobles, they don't give you much of a choice," said a very round soul reaper.

"In that case, Omeada, that means you would be demoted too." Iba said.

"Yes, but it seems like there is no one who would make a better Lieutenant for Squad Two than me!" Omeada said

"But he's a great punching bag for his captain." Yachiru points to the rounded soul reaper belly.

"You got that right," Iba said.

"And it might be the only reason why Captain Su-Fng keeps him around." Hisagi said.

"right. Yachiru said.

"HEY!" Yachiru said, realizing they had insulted him.

"Shut up, Omeada," Hisagi said.

Alright, it's time to get the rest of this show on the road!" the announcer said.

"So, who's my next opponent?" Ash questioned.

A slender, fit young girl with tan skin, gray eyes, and gray hair styled as a bob walks into the ring.

"Get ready, Ketchum." She said.

"Yes, I'm ready!" Ash replied.

Then the announcer walks up to the gray head.

"Sorry, man, but you need to be a woman to face Third Seat Ketchum," the announcer told the other Soul Reaper.

"I am a woman," she said.

"How old are you?" The announcer questioned, given the age of Squad 11's Lieutenant

"Why should that matter?" she questioned.

"Squad Seven isn't like Squad 11, they don't allow their kid members to fight," the announcer answered.

"I am not a kid!" She said.

"She's the same age as me." Ash said.

"For real?" almost everyone questioned at once.

"Yeah," Ash said.

"MAN, SHE IS EVEN SMALLER THAN RUKIA AND SUI-FENG!" The cue ball of Squad 11 shouted while laughing.

Suddenly, he was hit in the back of his head.

'I can't believe me and the cue ball are the same rank.' Ash thought to himself.

"I won't lose Ketchum," Bea said.

"You did see the last matches?" Ash questioned with a deadpanned look.

"I'm not weak like them," she said.

"But you're as prideful as them." Ash countered.

"Begin!" the referee said.

"Break the ground! Chikyuu," Bea said as her Zanpakuto transformed into a war hammer.

"So that's your shikai." Ash said.

Bea rushes toward Ash.

Suddenly, Ash disappeared.

'He knows the flash step!' was everyone's share of thought.

Suddenly, Ash appeared behind her.

"Had #31. Shakkaho!" He shouted.

The red beam hit its target and sent the girl out of the ring.

'That kido was stronger than it should be!' Bea thought.

"Winner, third seat, Ash Ketchum!" the announcer said.

"Well, that was interesting." Kyoraku said.

"Third seat Ketchum most likely didn't want to damage the ring like he did before." Head Captain Yamamoto said.

"So he decided to end it quickly." Ukitake said.

"Yep" was the shared reply.

"Still, that kid of his looked a lot stronger than normal." Kyoraku said.

"Ash found a way to make spells more powerful." Captain Komamura said.

"I see," Kyoraku said.

"Next up is Georgia!" the announcer said.

"Ready to lose your rank, Ketchum?" She questioned.

"You're trying to one-up Iris." Ash said with a deadpanned tone.

Well, of course I am; she and I are rivals," she replied.

'That's so far the least pathetic reason we heard today,' everyone thought.

"Begin!" The announcer said.

"Wrap up my foes, Toge Itachi!" Georgia said as her Zanpakuto transformed into a whip.

"Really?" Ash said, unimpressed.

Georgia tries to wrap her whip around Ash, only for him to use a flash step.

"What!" She was surprised.

'Did she forget he can use the flash step?' Everyone outside the ring thought.

"You're done." Ash said, appearing behind her.

"Had #73. Soren Sokatsui!" He said.

'Is he nuts? A Soren Sokatsui might kill her!' Everyone outside the ring thought.

However, just before firing the Kido, Ash immediately changes his aim towards the ground in front of her.

The force from the impact sent Georgia flying out of the ring.

"The winner is third seat Ketchum!" The announcer said.

The ring has a hole in it and was made by Ash's Sren Skatsui.

"Whoops," Ash said.

"I think we need to pause the tournament since third Ketchum is destroying the ring!" the announcer said while pointing to the said ring.

Actually, sir, you probably won't have to do that." Ash said.

"Are you planning to fix the damage you caused?" the announcer questioned

"Yeah, besides, the rest of my opponents left." Ash said.

"You have seven opponents left," the announcer answered.

"True, but look," Ash said.

The announcer looked around and saw that four of the opponents had left the waiting area.

"Well, it looks like third-seat Ketchum has proven his strength." Kyoraku said.

"There are still three store dummies." Captain Zaraki pointed out

"True, but from the looks of it, they've lost the will to fight." Kyoraku said.

"I don't know about that; those three never raise their Zanpakutoes or try picking a fight with third-seat Ketchum." Captain Komamura said

"Then why haven't they moved yet?" Ukitake said.

"Because the ring has a hole in it thanks to third-seat Ketchum's Sren Skatsui." Captain Ichimaru answered

"Still, they have to be terrified of his power." Hitsugaya said.

Then the three opponents fell down flat on their faces while a yellow puddle was under them.

"Or not." Captain Komamura spoke with a flat tone.

"I guess that means Ash wins the tournament and keeps his position." The announcer said.

'But none of the women who take part in the tournament won't get a date any time soon, were the shared thoughts of the male soul reapers.

'Ha! That'll teach them!' Nobana thought.

'And I'll make sure they won't be able to live this way for a while.' Nobana thought

"Well, that was interesting," Kyoraku said.

"It was the shortest tournament I had ever seen in my life." Captain Zarak said.

"True, but at least we know what third-seat Ketchum is capable of now," Ukitake said.

"But the keyword is now; who knows how powerful he will be in the future?" Captain Komamura said.

In the stands, a cue ball's blood was racing.

'If his Zanpakuto, is that strong in its Shikai form? How powerful is it in Bankai form?' Ikkaku thought to himself.

"So not what?" Hitsugaya questioned.

"For me, I have a pot to collect; see you all later." Kyraku said as he left.

"I'm going too," Kenpachi said.

"Remember Captain Kuchiki and Lieutenant Abarai since they will be returning today with Rukia Kuchiki." Head Captain Yamamoto told everyone there

"Right," everyone said.

The said three souls would head towards Squad One Barracks.

"Head Captain, we've returned." Byakuya said.

"I can see your sister is not wearing Soul Reaper's shihakush; does that mean she did the unthinkable?" Head Captain Yamamoto's questioned.

"Yes, Head Captain," Byakuya said.

"Take her to a holding cell; we will meet the captain within the next few days." The old captain said

"Yes, sir," Byakuya said.

While the Kuchiki siblings left, Renji Abarai went to the restaurant where he and the other Lieutenants.

"Hey guys," he said as he sat down.

"Hey, Renji," Rangiku said while she waved him over.

"So what happened while I was gone?" Renji questioned.

The other Lieutenants told him what happened while he was gone.

"What!? There was a tournament between third-seat Ketchum and the women in Squad 7, and I missed it!" He screamed.

"Yeah, Captain Kyoraku and someone else made a killing in bets." Iba said.

"So how'd third-seat Ketchum do?" Renji questioned.

"Ashy won it." Yachiru Answered.

"I see. Well, that's not surprising." Renji said.

"Huh?" The other lieutenants said

"I figured Ash wouldn't get his butt kicked that easily." Renji said.

"He made most of them pass out, three of which landed in their own pee." Izuru said.

"It makes sense that that usually happens when he proves people wrong." Renji said with a chuckle.

"Do you know him or something?" Rangiku asked

"We went to the academy together," Renji said.

"What was the year difference between you two?" Shūhei questioned

"Funny enough, he was a year above me," Renji said.

"Really?" the other Lieutenants questioned.

Yeah, he's already at the top of his class." Renji said.

"But with the way he looks, Ash could be two years younger than you!" Omeada said

"It just shows how determined he was about becoming a soul reaper," Renji said.

"Because of his mother." Iba said.

"What about his mother?" Rangiku questioned

"I don't know anything about his mom." Renji said.

Then Iba told the other lieutenants about Ash's reason for becoming a Soul Reaper.

"Wow," everyone said.

"Poor Ashy." Yachir said as she fought back her tears.

Yeah, that's really sad," Rangiku said.

Shuhei didn't say anything else, only touching the number "69" tattooed on his left cheek.

"So that's why Ash is so determined." Rangiku said.

"Becoming a soul reaper is how he honors his mother." Iba said while nodding his head.

"That's got to be rough." Izuru said.

"It was, but look at him now." Iba said.

Right, strong enough to be a lieutenant." Renji said.

Well, there are no rules against a squad having two lieutenants," the lieutenant of Squad 12 said.

"True Nemu, but it needs to be approved by either the Head Captain or Central 46." Hisagi said.

"And you don't think he's just done with this tournament?" Renj questioned.

"I forgot to tell you this, Renji, but the money from the ticket sales is going to the orphans of District 78," said a female soul reaper with short white hair.

"Wait, really, Isane?" Renji questioned.

"Yes, it's the reason why Third Seat Ketchum agreed to the tournament," she answered.

"I see it sounds like Ash," Renji said.

"Hey, how did your mission go?" Shhei questioned changing the topic.

"Oh well, yeah, we got Rukia, but we ran into a complication." Renji said.

"What kind of complication?" Shūhei questioned

"A human with Soul Reaper powers," Renji said.

"How is that possible!?" Marechiyo asks while trying to fully wrap his mind in the thought of a human with Soul Reaper powers.

"Rukia transferred her powers to him." Renji said.

"But she's gotten to know what the punishment is for that action?" Marechiyo questioned.

"Yeah," Renji said.

"So what happened to the human? Did you kill them or did Captain Kuchiki do it?" Iba questioned.

"Captain Kuchiki struck his soul chain and soul sleep." Renji said.

The other Lieutenants were shocked.

"Ouch," Izuru said.

"The possibility that humans retained any form of power is near zero." Nemu said

"Right," Hisagi said.

Yeah, wait, nearly 0%!? Are you saying that somehow that human might be able to regain the powers of a soul reaper?" Marechiyo questioned.

"There is a method, but it's risky." Izuru said.

"But there is still the possibility of the human regaining Soul Reaper power, which means they could be in trouble later down the road." Shūhei said.

"Right," Rangiku said.

And accidentally give or awaken Yuzu's Soul Reaper powers.

"I'll see what my Captain thinks about this human." Said the oldest lieutenant.

"Same here," Rangiku said.

"I think Captain Kuchiki has other things on his mind." Izuru said.

"Right on that," Renji said.

"Well, it looks like the next meeting will be a giant pain." Rangiku said.

"Yep," Iba said.

'Whichever meets my captain will use me as her punching bag again.' Marechiyo thought to himself.

"So what do we do now?" Izuru questioned.

"Enjoy our free time for now." Rangiku said.

"Right," everyone said.

While the Lieutenants were enjoying their free time before dealing with the next day's meetings, the Head Captain was thinking over today's events.

'Hmm, third-seat Ketchum seems incredibly powerful.' He thought.

'But is he ready to be a lieutenant?' Head Captain Yamamoto thought to himself.

Meanwhile, with Nobana.

'Those cows will never hear the end of this tournament and the possible end of their dating life.' Nobana thought to herself.

Her thoughts changed to Ash.

She was so deep in her thoughts that the fourth seat of Squad Four didn't hear someone coming up behind her.

"Hey, Nobana." The voice said.

The sister of Captain Komamura jumps a bit.

"Brother!" She said.

is the princess brother, and we're behind the two major villains.

"Lost in your own thoughts again?" He questioned with amusement in his voice.

"Shut up!" she said.

"Did you have a good time at the tournament?" he questioned.

"Yes, I did; it was very entertaining," Nobana said.

"How much did you win?" Sajin questioned, as he knew if anyone bet against Ash, then his sister would bet on her crush.

"Brother, I'm insulted that you would insinuate that," she said while hiding her winnings.

"I had smelled your scent to where the betting was taking place." Sajin said.

Nobana blushes in embarrassment.

"You forget that we have more powerful senses than normal souls." Sajin said as he enjoyed his sister's embarrassment.

"So when will you start on your Captain's punishment?" Sajin questioned.

"In a few days," Nobana said.

What fate awaits Rukia? And just how powerful will Ash become? Tune in next time to find out.
