A Royal on Skull Island Ch. 01

Apple White is running for her life from a creature she has never seen before. Some sort of wingless dragon running on two legs no bigger than the average adult. The princess is just thankful that it has not displayed the ability to breathe fire. But it is fast. The creature would have gotten her were it not for thick of plants and trees surrounding her.

How did the future Snow White end up here you might ask. It all started as a simple trip back home during break by ship. Apple was outside when a massive storm came out of nowhere. The waves knocked into the ship so hard, the Royal went overboard. The next thing the princess knew, she awoke on some sort of beach with a broken MirrorPhone.

The blonde remained on the shore for a short time, hoping someone would come and rescue her.

A hero will arrive soon. Just as the stories intend it.

Or at least that's what she kept telling herself.

After a day, the Royal got hungry and had to go find something to eat. So, she ventured into the forest with the intention of staying in eyesight of the beach. That's when the Royal came across a path. Evidence that she may not be as alone as she thought she was.

The princess followed the path with some sort of relief. Hopefully, someone has a MirrorPhone so she can contact her mother.

Suddenly, Apple gets the feeling that she's being watched. And in a forest this thick, that's not a good thing. The Royal did the only thing she could and ran. That's when the creature showed itself.

And here she is, doing her best to not become this flightless dragon's meal.

Apple nearly cried in joy at the sight of a large wall, that rivals that of any castle she had seen. "Help!" she shouts as soon as she reaches it and starts pounding on it. Looking for a gate, a hatch, or something. "Somebody! Please let me in!" she freezes as she hears a hiss from behind.

Turning around, the girl is face to face with the creature. More hissing comes from the side and that's when Apple notices three more of the same creature.

Out of instinct, Apple releases a bloodcurdling scream. As if to respond to the scream a mighty roar is sent throughout the forest, seemingly disorienting the creatures as they backed away. One of them regained it's footing and goes to pounce on the princess, only to meet a wall instead.

"Help!" Apple shouts as she follows along the wall. "Somebody! Let me in!" her please go unheard as the creatures continue to pursuit their prey. The Royal then spots a large tree with a very narrow opening. She manages to squeeze through and backs up to the end of the tree.

One of the creatures tries to reach for her only to stop short. "Thank, Godmother," Apple sighs in relief only to stiffen at the sound of cracking. The creature hasn't given up as it breaks off the bark at the entrance, making it slightly wider. It swipes a claw at the princess, "Ah!" leaving two cuts on her cheek. It is suddenly forced out of the tree.

Curious, Apple takes step out of her hiding spot and sees three of those creatures running off. She fully leaves the hollowed tree and lets out a sigh only moments later to let out a shout as a thumb startles her from behind. Turning around, she finds one of those creatures laying limp on the ground. Then, a grunt draws her attention up. She stumbles to the ground as she backs away, releasing another scream at the sight before her.
