Hello lovelies! I know I have taken a long time to rewrite this story, but I am on my way to the third chapter as well as starting from Project Rebirth. I have made a whole timeline for the MCU so that I have an idea of where everything is going to happen. Let me tell you, it took so many revisions to get the timeline just right. As of right now, there isn't much that is going to follow the timeline, but as the story goes on, it will. For the first few chapters, I will essentially lay some groundwork to set up for when we actually start The First Avenger. I am excited to see where this story goes and I hope you are too. Anyways, that's all I had for this, so I will get on with the quote.

"We are each other's magnitude and bond."

-Gwendolyn Brooks

That's all I had for this part, so I will get right on to the story.

Ever since life has existed in the universe and the nine realms, so has the soul marks. These marks link soul bounded people together for their whole lives. People tend to get their marks when their bonded is born, and in turn, are born with their marks if their bonded is born before them. Each person gets a unique mark that represents them although they can look similar to others. The placement of the marks will be the same for the pair. For instance, if person A has the other's mark on their back, person B will have the other's on the same spot. However, not every soul bonded person are soulmates. Having your soul bound to someone just means that these people will be very close to each other. They will be able to feel the feelings of their bonded clearly when they are close and very faintly when they are far away. When the soul bonded person meets for the first time, their soul marks will pulse to let them know that their bonded is close and will only get stronger until they meet. As soon as their eyes meet and they know who their soul bonded is, the bond will establish and a sense of peace will settle over the people. People can have one bonded or they can have a multitude of them. The most recorded in history to this point has been five. Throughout the course of history, the number will increase to fourteen.

November 966 A.D.

The solitary figure of a brown haired woman walked briskly down a hallway while blue eyes watched her surroundings with a heavily guarded gaze. Luckily she did not meet anyone on her trek so she was free to press against a hidden pressure plate on the wall that revealed the door to a hidden passageway. The woman quickly slipped through so that the doorway closed leaving no trace of the woman behind. Now that the woman was inside the hidden secret network behind the walls, she relaxed a little but did not stop her hurried pace. She weaved through many twists and turns along the passages that spoke of a familiarity of the path she was taking until she finally slipped out of a doorway revealed along one wall of a room that seemed to have its own plane of existence. Upon a general look around the room, the room held a large bed that was pushed up towards the wall opposite of the hidden door whose silk canopy was drawn up to reveal that the bed was neatly made. An armoire sat just to the right of the bed along the same wall with two other doors between the armoire and the hidden door. To the left of the bed sat a settee and plush armchairs around a table and a window seat that was currently open, the soft moonlight with a gentle breeze blowing the sheer curtains into the room. However, when looking closer at the window seat, there was a blonde woman staring up at the moon and stars with a small bundle held in her arms. One thing that the brunette noticed when she entered the room was the way the mark she had received just days ago on her cheek under her left eye began to pulse and only got stronger as she ventured further in the room.

"Lofn," the brunette called out to the blonde who had jumped slightly at the interruption of her thoughts.

"You wanted to see me?"

"Indeed I did sister," Lofn confirmed before she turned to face the darker haired woman.

With Lofn's shift in the way she was sitting, the brunette woman was able to see the bundle a little more clearly which was enough for a tuft of red to be seen from above the purple cloth. When the brunette woman got closer to the small bundle, the pulse grew stronger and stronger.

"Who is this?" the brunette asked in a soft voice.

It was not very hard to see the motherly switch in the brunette woman as she watched her sister get up from her seat and walk over to her. When the brunette was able to see inside the bundle better, she saw a babe with a head of copper curls with matching eyebrows and eyelashes that rested on plump cheeks.

"My little Freyja," Lofn cooed down at her daughter.

The brunette happily watched mother and daughter until Lofn gave a sad sigh.

"The reason I called for you was so that you could take her in. I know that you've always wanted a daughter."

Conflicted feelings were quick to rise in the brunette at the thought of taking in the small infant. While she had always wanted a daughter to dress up and coddle, she did not feel right taking her sister's child. Freyja was Lofn's to cherish and love, not hers. On the other hand, while the brunette was thinking about her sister's health, she felt that she needed to take the child. Lofn did not have long to live and the brunette would be able to see to it that Freyja had a good and comfortable life.

"I promise that I will look after Freyja like one of my own," the brunette finally agreed, reaching out her arms to take the small babe.

"Thank you Frigga."

Once little Freyja was secure in Frigga's arms, Lofn looked down sadly at her daughter and stroked her face.

"I'm sorry that I cannot live long enough to care for you, my sweet Freyja, but Frigga will look after you for me."

Lofn then leaned down slightly to place a kiss on her daughter's brow. Freyja's eyes then opened to show silver eyes that had a quick flash of blue, green, yellow, orange, purple, and red before her eyes settled back on silver. As soon as Frigga looked into the silver eyes of the babe, she could feel peace wash over her as her bond with the small child was established. While Frigga had her moment with one of her bonded, Lofn was able to tell what had happened. Now she was evermore sure that Frigga would take care of Freyja as it was in the nature of the bonded to take care of each other.

"I love you, my daughter."

Lofn then watched with saddened eyes and Frigga turned and headed back towards the hidden door to the hidden passage

When Frigga had taken Freyja back to her chambers to look her over, she realized that little Freyja already had three bonded marks on her. One was Frigga's own tawny celtic cross mark under her left eye where a purple pentagram had appeared on Frigga's face when the babe was born. The others were a silver lightning bolt under Freyja's right eye and a black and gold snake wrapped around Freyja's left wrist. Frigga at once remembered the same pentagram that she bore resting on her eldest son's cheek at the same spot as Freyja's while her youngest son Loki sporting the same on his left wrist. So it seems this little one was meant to come live with us, Frigga mused as she gave the young infant a bath only to dress Freyja in a darling purple dress and matching purple bonnet then wrapped her in a cream colored blanket.

"You are going to be so loved, little Freyja," Frigga cooed down to the small babe before she placed a kiss on her forehead.

C. 973 A.D.-975 A.D.

Just like Frigga had predicted, Freyja was instantly loved by both her husband and her sons. Odin was more than happy to take Freyja in seeing as though he did not have a daughter to spoil. The boys, on the other hand, adopted a very overprotective relationship with Freyja. They would take the little in their arms when Frigga would allow them to hold her and they would talk excitedly to her about the things they would do when Freyja was able to. As soon as Freyja turned three, she was inseparable from Thor and Loki when the two ventured around the palace. It wasn't long before the group was broken up a little when Freyja and Loki showed signs of magic. To make sure that the two budding magic users had control over their abilities, Frigga herself took them under her wing. Loki showed immense promise in illusions and tricks while Freyja showed more aptitude for more advanced magic like teleportation, visions, and telepathy. Whenever she would access these abilities, Frigga noticed that Freyja's eyes would turn an intense blue that glowed, a vibrant shamrock green, or electric yellow respectively. However, both Freyja and Loki also picked up weapons training with Thor. At first Thor and Loki were hesitant over letting Freyja join them, but Freyja had simply taken both boys by the ear with surprising strength and tugged. They both yelped in pain at the treatment and didn't say anything past that. Honestly, both boys were so surprised that the small three and a half year old picked such a large weapon to train for such as a halberd. When Odin had first heard that Freyja was interested in learning to fight along with her brothers, he was against it. Frigga was the only one who knew exactly why he was so against his daughter learning to fight, and yet, she found nothing wrong with her daughter wanting to fight. After all, she herself knew how to fight even if she wasn't a warrior like her husband. The debate went on for weeks and hit an all out high when the Royal family were eating lunch. Frigga was happily talking with her sons while Odin threw in a few words here and there when Freyja's usual silver eyes changed to the green that accompanied her visions. Loki was the first to notice, followed closely by Frigga and the other two at the table. Frigga and Loki looked over to her in apprehension at what her visions were showing her while Odin and Thor looked to her in curiosity since they didn't know what the odd color meant. The incident only seemed to go on for a few moments before Freyja's eyes returned to their natural silver state. Freyja blinked a few times to get her vision accustomed back to her surroundings while her hands clenched and unclenched to ground herself. Once she had her bearings, her silver gaze turned towards the Allfather.

"Father," Freyja said.

"Yes, Freyja?" Odin asked after he had returned to eating his lunch.

"Who is Hela?"

That question was enough to cause both the adults to flinch then tense. Thor and Loki could only watch on in confusion as Odin took in a deep breath through his nose while Frigga stared at her daughter in confusion.

"Where did you hear that name?" Odin demanded in forced calm.

"I saw it in a vision," Freyja answered easily. "I saw a woman dressed in black with horns-,"

"You will speak no more of this!"

Freyja jumped in fright at the loud tone Odin had exploded with while Thor and Loki looked on with wide eyes. The children had never heard their father raise his voice before, so they were stunned after what had happened. In Freyja's case, tears threatened to leak out of the corners of her eyes but she forced herself to choke back the tears to keep a strong composure. Frigga, Thor, and Loki all could feel the hurt that welled up inside Freyja, but they couldn't think of anything that would comfort her.

"As you wish Father," she told him in clipped tones before she stood from her seat at the table.

"If you'll excuse me, I no longer have an appetite."

No one moved to stop the young child as she left the dining room then made a beeline for her room. As soon as Freyja was in the comfort of her private chambers, she threw herself onto her bed and let her tears fall down her cheeks unchecked. In her mind, she couldn't understand why her father was so cross with her. What was so wrong with asking about Hela? Was she an enemy of Asgard? Was she dangerous? Rather than try to ask an outside source and risk it getting back to the Allfather, Freyja instead chose to try and activate the magic that had given her the vision. If she could see Hela by the Allfather's side, she could see what exactly had happened with Hela in the past. She quickly wiped off her tears and lay on her bed to get comfortable. Alright, she thought to herself. How exactly did I get that vision earlier? Did I have it by accident, she thought to herself. A sigh left Freyja as she closed her eyes and let her thoughts focus exclusively on the black clad figure she had come to know as Hela. She let her thoughts drift away until she could see Hela stand tall with a manic smile on her face while hundreds of women on winged horses were hurtling at her. Wait...were those Valkyrie? Why were the Valkyrie attacking Hela? From what Freyja could see, it looked like the whole legion of Valkyrie were attacking that almost blotted out the whole sky with the smallest traces of foggy light filtering through. Freyja's heart pounded away in her chest as she watched the scene unfold in front of her before she could feel the tension and the bloodlust that was coming from Hela. What happened from there seemed to just go by in a blur as Hela sent an arc of blades shooting at the Valkyries atop their winged steeds that set every single one of them falling from the sky. Numerous corpses of the fallen Valkyrie littered the battlefield until all but one single Valkyrie was left. Freyja was able to see that one of the Valkyrie was able to flee the battlefield, but she was unable to see anything after that for the vision shifted direction to lead her to a great hall that rested atop a great hill several miles in seclusion. At the entrance was a pair of large double doors where a single woman stood in the Valkyrie uniform, her long braided red hair dancing in the breeze.

"Who are you?" Freyja found herself asking the beautiful warrior.

"Kára, second in command of the Valkyrie," she answered with a proud tilt of her head.

"And who are you little one?"

"Princess Freyja of Asgard."

"Are you a warrior, little princess?"

"I want to be," she admitted. "But Father doesn't wish me to be. I just want to fight alongside my brothers and make sure that Thor doesn't get himself killed."

A little twitch of amusement quirked the corner of Kára's lips at Freyja's words before she kneeled down before me.

"I could teach you to fight, if you wish," she offered. "It would be a shame for the fighting style of the Valkyries to die out."

"I would like that," Freyja beamed at her only for her smile to fall as all of the obstacles in her way flooded through her mind.

How would she be able to train me? My body couldn't go through the training in a vision like this and there was no way that she could come here.

"Find a way to the Hall of Valkyries," Kára told Freyja, rising to her feet.

"There I will be able to start your training."

Before Freyja could utter another word, she was brought back to her body in her chambers with such a great force that her breath rushed from her lungs. At her side were her adoptive brothers who had come running when they had first felt her distress during her vision. When they had arrived in her chambers, after just barging in instead of knocking, they had seen that Freyja's eyes were glowing the same green as earlier. Instead of trying to bring her from her vision, the boys had stayed at her side to wait for her to come back. When Freyja came back gasping and couldn't quite catch her breath, Loki was the first to act.

"Frey, breathe," he urged her, his left hand reaching out to take her left hand so that their bonded marks would be closer. The close feeling of the soul bond mark was enough to ground Freyja. She gave a few coughs as she tried to regulate her breathing until she was able to sync her breathing with Loki's.

"Lok, Vinni," Freyja spoke, looking from Loki's green eyes to Thor's blue.

"What was your vision about?" Loki asked.

"The leader of the Valkyrie wishes to train me," Freyja told the boys.

"But all the Valkyrie are dead," Thor pointed out with his brows furrowed in confusion.

"It seems their spirits still reside in the Hall of Valkyries," Freyja mused.

"How will we convince Mother to take us," Thor thought out loud, which surprised the young Freyja.

"What do you mean, us?"

"Did you truly think we would not accompany you?" Loki questioned with a raised eyebrow.

Freyja's heart warmed at the kindness and love she felt from her adoptive brothers through their bonded marks.

"Why don't we say that we just wanted to visit the Hall," Freyja suggested after thinking for a moment.

"Once I am there, I will know where to portal to after."

"That sounds plausible," Loki agreed.

And so the three made possible plans to get to the Hall of Valkyries, which all started with asking Frigga for a field trip.

ooo0ooo

Thankfully, with all three children coming to Freyja and enthusiastically requesting to visit the Hall of the Valkyries, Frigga agreed to take the group the day after the next. The trio were more than excited to go on the field trip and Freyja made sure that she dressed in an outfit with trousers as well as a loose shirt so that she would be ready for training at any time. She met up with Thor and Loki outside of her chambers and the trio hurried through the palace hallways until they reached the entrance of the palace where Frigga and a palace guard were waiting for them.

"Are you all ready?" Frigga asked her children who had excitement in their eyes.

"Yes!" they all chorused.

"Good. We will be getting to the Hall by Skiff and one of the guards will be accompanying us."

The three children stood still only long enough to hear their mother before they all broke out into a run for the Skiff that was waiting for them. Frigga could only shake her head at her children with a chuckle as she and the guard followed behind them to board the Skiff. Once everyone was aboard, the guard took up piloting the Skiff while the children sat towards the front of the boat like flying transportation. The boys each took one of Freyja's hands in theirs while Freyja's mind was a wash with thoughts of how training with the Valkyries would be like. She also was trying to reign in her excitement that she would actually be able to train and fight like her brothers at all. It was perfect because Odin would not be able to know that she was training until she decided to show everyone that she could fight. When the Skiff stopped at a mooring point at the base of the mountain that made up the Hall of the Valkyries, Freyja could feel a bit of excitement well up in her.

"Welcome to the Hall of Valkyries," Frigga said when she and her children were off the Skiff.

All three of the children looked up at the looming structure ahead of them. They were all shocked by the sheer height of the Hall, Freyja more than the other two. Even though she saw the structure in her vision, she still couldn't have imagined that the Hall would be this tall.

"For as long as Asgard has existed, the Valkyries have served the Kings of Asgard," Frigga told her children as she led them to the large double doors that were the entrance of the structure.

"When the battles would be truly perilous, the valkyries would step up and beat our enemies."

When the group passed through the great hall that was the first room that lay behind the entrance, the ghostly figures of past Valkyries played out through Freyja's eyes. She watched them as they ate at the empty tables that decorated the great hall and how they looked so happy. This could have still been like this if it wasn't for Hela, Freyja thought to herself sadly.

"They were brilliant female warriors who were an elite fighting force who did not have any qualms facing any sort of enemy. That is, until the battle that led to their demise. They may have all perished in battle, but they were able to defeat the enemy."

As Frigga was telling them the modified version of the details of the Massacre of the Valkyrie than what Freyja had seen in her visions, Freyja became suspicious as to who Hela was and why she was such a threat. I'll have to ask the Valkyries left behind in the Hall, she continued to think to herself. For the rest of the tour, Freyja's head was full of different questions that she had for Kára when she portaled back later. Once the tour was done, Frigga led the three children back to the entrance.

"I don't know why you three wanted to come so badly," Frigga said as she helped them back into the Skiff.

"But I hope the three of you had fun."

"Loads of fun," Thor said when Freyja and Loki said nothing.

Frigga noticed how two of her children were silent after their tour, but she didn't try to pry. She would find out what was bothering them later.

ooo0ooo

Later that day, when Freyja had retired for the night, she used her magic to make a portal back to the Hall. She quickly went through so that there wouldn't be anyone to stop her from leaving. As soon as she stepped through, she saw that she was in the great hall.

"Welcome little princess," a familiar voice greeted from Freyja's right.

When Freyja turned to face who spoke to her, she recognized Kára's familiar face.

"Kára," Freyja grinned happily at the more solid form of the Valkyrie rather than the ghostlike form that Freyja saw in her vision.

"You did good getting here," Kára praised the small princess.

"But we cannot start your training just yet. We will start your training tomorrow morning and we will proceed from there."

"Yes, Kára."

"From now on, you will address me as Lieutenant General, understood?"

"Yes, Lieutenant General."

"Good. Our training will cover hand to hand combat and a wide variety of different weapons. We will also go over battle tactics to make sure that you will fit in with your brothers."

"Thank you Lieutenant General."

A small smile grew on Kára's lips at the eagerness that came from Freyja who was only just below her hip. She had never had children, given her role as a Valkyrie, but she had always wished for a daughter she could have trained herself. It seems like the universe had deemed her a child to train, even if Freyja was not her daughter.

"Make sure to get plenty of rest tonight and come back at dawn to get started."

"Yes, Lieutenant General."

Kára watched Freyja conjure up another portal and was a little taken aback at the powers the little girl had. Hmm, maybe we could incorporate her magic into her training.

True to Kára's orders, Freyja returned to the Hall at dawn. That marked the beginning of Freyja's training in the Valkyrie way of fighting. There was agility training, weight training, strength training, balance training, weapons training, wrestling, and gymnastics. It was also during Freyja's training that she learned that her eyes would glow a pretty amethyst color when she was nearing her limits. This seemed to give her more supernatural strength than her usual Asgardian physiology allowed. It also seemed to give her some supernatural durability as well when she was hurled into the thick wall of the training hall during a sparring session. When Kára had learned of Freyja's new ability, she pushed the young royal until Freyja could use the ability at will. Most of Freyja's training spanned over eleven years that found her being close to a master in combat. Kára said, at that time, that Freyja could choose to train with her brothers instead of coming back to the Hall, but Freyja chose to continue training at the Hall while also sparring with Thor and Loki back at the palace. When Freyja first showed her fighting prowess to Thor and Loki, they were both impressed. Though most of it had to be from the hefty halberd that Freyja had slung over her shoulder. It wasn't long after that that Odin had found out that Freyja knew how to fight. He was furious at first and it took some time for him to realize there was nothing that he could do at this point. It was also around this time that Freyja met the friends that Thor had made. Their names were Fandral, Hogun, and Volstag that Freyja got along with almost immediately. There was one other that Freyja ended up befriending, but they were not the usual warrior. Their name was Sif who dreamed of being the first female warrior in the Asgardian army. Freyja saw herself in the poor girl and decided that she would train her to make her dream come true. Freyja ran Sif ragged in training, but instead of dreading the training, Sif loved it. In the end, everyone ended up training together that gave birth to the Warriors Three plus Sif and the royals being the most skilled warriors in the Asgardian army.

C. 1409 A.D. - 1413 A.D.

Everything seemed to be going by peacefully at this time, which was in part due to Freyja. Over the years, she had offered counsel to Odin that helped further the time of peace. It was even under her advice that Odin took the Tesseract to Midgard for safe keeping. Years after that, Freyja had a vision about the coming of Ragnarok. When she first had the vision, she was terrified that it was to happen soon. After some contemplation over the vision, she saw that there were still centuries before it was to happen. That's not to say that she still wasn't shaken up about seeing her homeworld go up in a fiery explosion. Her reaction was to pick a select few Asgardians and take them to Midgard to start a new country. The first step for this was to venture down to Midgard herself to pick a place for said country. She traveled around the world in search of the perfect place that ended up being located in Europe above modern day Norway, Sweden, and Finland. To get the area for herself, Freyja took some soldiers to station around the borders of the yet to be formed country so that they wouldn't lose any land to any of the other countries. When she was sure that the area was stable, Freyja started bringing peasants to populate the country along with master artisans and healers so that they could keep the same advanced technology that they were used to back on Asgard with them. This of course led to Freyja being named the Queen of the country of Frœknland. This information was only told to a select few people that Freyja trusted completely so that no one would know the country existed. Freyja even invested in some cloaking technology that Freyja had observed when she came upon the country that would be soon named Wakanda.

C. 1700 A.D.

When she had entered the country, she was in awe at the advances that the country had above all of the other countries that she had visited. Instead of the primitive structures and clothing that the rest of the continent of what would be called Africa, the people of Wakanda had made some major advancements. However, what really caught her attention were the altered flora. As Freyja observed the altered vegetation, she remembered that vibranium was the cause. I would love to take some of this with me to use in my medicine, Freyja thought to herself but had to force herself away. I should ask the leader instead of just taking it. She then stood to her full height of 5'7" then looked up at the sky. They certainly have some beautiful scenery. Freyja then ventured towards where she could see just the beginnings of a town or village.

1800s A.D.

Around a thousand years passed since then and Frœknland had flourished beautifully under Freyja's rule. Thankfully she had a second, Frode, she could put in charge of the country while she roamed who abided by Freyja's laws and would always reach out to update her on anything that happened in the kingdom. During this time, Freyja had taken an interest in the new country called America that had broken off from the British. She had never heard of such a thing happening and she was curious as to how the country would progress. However, when she saw how bad the sanitary regulations were and how bad the field of medicine was, Freyja was determined to do something about it. She fought hard with the men in charge of the country who believed that women had no place in respectable positions so that she could improve the sanitary conditions so that they were more towards the standards of Asgard with what the Americans had available. Her next course of action was to study the field of medicine that the Americans had available and found that her knowledge from Asgardian doctors proved to be more advanced. Even though she knew she was more knowledgeable, she went through many trials to graduate from medical school so that she could become a practicing physician as well as a pharmacist with the various plants and herbs she brought from Asgard. That was how Freyja started a practice as a physician and a pharmacist in New York City. She specifically chose the borough called Brooklyn for her visions told her of two of her soul bonded were to be born there years down the road. In the time that Freyja had sent up her practice, she began to gain renown as the country's best doctor. To keep up with the demands that the country had, she ended up building some other clinics around the 33 other states and personally trained everyone who was employed at these clinics so that Freyja would be satisfied that everyone would receive quality treatment.

1861 A.D.

Everything was peaceful throughout the states until the Civil War broke out. Freyja was drafted as an army medic for the Union along with some of her clinic staff. She took to her job with stride. She healed all of her patients to near perfection and did not engage in amputation like other army doctors did. She saw the act as simply barbaric and questioned why she needed to engage in it when her medicine could prevent the infections that ran rampant otherwise. However, the soft lead of the minnie all caused a lot of damage crushing bones and cutting through tissue. Usually that would be a problem, but Freyja's superior knowledge in medicine made it easy to treat the wounded soldiers. While these soldiers were recuperating from their injuries, Freyja would head to the front lines with her vibranium armor curtesy of Wakanda with her halberd in hand. She would occasionally pick up a gun to fire back at the enemy, but she preferred her own weapon. As the war went on, the soldiers began to look forward to the time when Freyja would appear where they were stationed. That just meant that they would get quality care and their battles would be won easily. The soldiers that Freyja saved due to her diligence and willingness to fight in their place pledged loyalty to her. She was a little reluctant to accept the pledges, but she eventually did when she realized that they weren't going to let it go. Freyja's fighting on the front lines also garnered respect and awe at the way she managed to snatch victories left and right. It was actually this reputation that caught the eyes of two brothers when Freyja was assigned to their regenment. When she first arrived at the camp, there were whispers that spread like wildfire that made two pairs of dark eyes land on her. One pair belonged to a man with dark hair cut short along with a mutton chop style beard while the other was a man of the same height with longer, wavy dark hair. Freyja caught the eyes of the men on her way to the medical tent and she instantly knew that these men were different. She wondered how they were different, but the answer came to her when she recalled similar auras from people who called themselves mutants. This should be interesting, Freyja thought to herself. For the first few days that Freyja was in the battalion, she did as she normally did with treating the wounded and then would help out on the front lines. This of course caught the attention of both dark haired men, but they didn't chalk it up to anything out of the ordinary. Even if there were moments where one of the men could have sworn that they had smelt something different about Freyja's scent. Freyja herself was having fun playing with the men as she was purposefully messing with the men so that they were left guessing if she was human or not. After those first few days, Freyja had decided that she had messed with them for far too long and decided to show the men what she was. So, on a night where everyone but the sentries, Freyja, and the men were asleep, Freyja took it upon herself to move the cannons and cannonballs into the correct placement by herself. The two men were just returning to their tents when they happened upon Freyja bringing over the cast cannon. The more muscled man threw out his arm that hit his companion square in the chest.

"What the hell Victor?" the other man growled in annoyance.

"Look," was all Victor said with a nod of his head in Freyja's direction.

Rather than argue with Victor, the other man turned his gaze towards the higher ranking soldier they knew as General Odinsdottir. Like usual her coppery red hair was pulled back into a braided bun at the base of her skull with a few stray hairs framing her face. They knew of her and admired how she fought in the place of injured soldiers while they were recuperating.

"What is she doing?" the other man questioned when he saw her grab the string connected to the cannon.

Both men watched in surprise as Freyja started pulling the cannon behind her with ease over to the others.

"Do you think she's like us?" the other man asked Victor while they watched her line the cannon neatly up with the others.

"She doesn't smell like us," Victor mused softly to himself.

"But she doesn't smell like a frail."

"If you two are going to watch," Freyja called out softly enough that only the brothers could hear her.

"You could come help me with the cannonballs."

The two men shared a look at how she was able to hear them so well, but did head over to help her with the cannonballs. Once they were stacked up near the cannons, Freyja led the two towards the edge of camp where she could keep a lookout but no one else could hear them.

"As for your question," Freyja began, referring to the other man's earlier question.

"I am not like you, but I am not human."

This was enough to pique both of the man's interests.

"I am Asgardian. I come from one of the nine realms called Asgard."

Freyja then went on to describe the nine realms and how everyone on Asgard were stronger than humans.

"So you're only strong?" Victor voiced after thinking about what she had said.

"Not quite," Freyja smirked while her eyes flashed through different colors before landing back on her natural silver.

"I can also use magic."

And there we have it. What do you all think of it so far? I actually was not sure if I wanted to bring Logan or Victor into the story, but they are nonetheless here. I have one other chapter that I have ready to put up and then I will be working on the third chapter. My goal is to get this third chapter done to replace the three other chapters that I had had up for the previous version of the story. I can't wait to hear what you all think about the new version and to hear your thoughts. If you have any questions or have comments, feel free to pm me or leave a review. Remember, reviews are magic!
