AN- Hey there, this is the second instalment of my take on The Bad Batch and what happened to them we never got to see. There will be refences to stuff that happened in my fist fan fic, Big Sister.
All you need to know is that Hunter and the rest of the bad batch were separated shortly after they came out of the cloning tanks.
Prologue
On the water planet of Kamino, suspended over the ocean in Tipoca city, young clones ran a gambit of tests wail their makers the Kaminoan's looked on.
The tall, long necked scientist, Nala Si frowned as she stared down at the holoprojector and the image of her experiment failing before her eyes. She had high hopes for this one, and now all she was left was bitter disappointment for CT-9901. His mutation had been extraordinary, something that would rival the Jedi and their ability to sense the force.
CT-9901 had not been a force user but his awareness was off the charts. It seemed however that his senses were just as much a detriment as a benefit. His skill in the field, even at a young age was above par, but there were moments when a slight lapse in concentration would make him became vulnerable.
The half grown clone had failed, she shook her head and her pinched exasperation was the only anger she allowed to show.
She watched as the clone collapsed onto the training room floor. He was lucky not to be in the live round simulation otherwise he would have ended up dead. Still maybe that would have been preferable.
"Clearly, Experimental clone CT-9901 will have to be decommissioned and terminated." She said to the Jedi Shaak Ti. Nala Se would start over; she would use the CT- 9901 template and start again. "I will make sure what we have learned does not go to waste." She turned to the droid, "Have CT-9901 report to the lab, we will harvest the samples before Termination."
The Togruta cocked her white and blue head to the side and placed a hand on her orange chin. Shaak Ti was a Jedi master and they never made decisions in haste. She looked to the downed clone in the red hologram.
"I sense you had so much hope for this one." The Jedi said, well aware the Kaminoans were very proud of their creations, and did not enjoy the thought of failure. "You know the Jedi counsel's view on unnecessary Termination." She looked to Nala Se, "He may prove worthy in the future. You may assign him to the Maintenance Duty Unit."
Nala Se blinked and looked down at the image again. She never understood Jedi, but they were paying for everything so she would do as the Jedi Master asked.
Nala Se turned to the droid, "Inform the instructor of the Decommission of CT-9901." She told the droid.
Shaak Ti gave her a nod before leavening the Kaminoan scientists. Nala Se shook her head a little, she thought the Jedi were too attached to the clones, they were just property after all.
It was clear that she would waist no more time on this one⦠she had other more important tasks to attend to.
TBC...
AN- Yep, short, but Up next, Hunter gets sent to work with old Ninty-nine.
Hope you enjoyed it even though it was just setting the stage for the more important stuff.
