Chapter Eleven:

The Super Wah-Party Invite

A couple of days passed since Mario met Tari and beat SMG4 at Smash, after several losses and training with the gamer girl, and things had been looking pretty dandy for the Fat Italian since then. Even SMG4 seemed to have recovered from his "humiliating defeat" at the hands of Mario and was back to making memes on his computer in the Secret Slide Room in Peach's Castle.

Meanwhile, Mario and Luigi were at home, enjoying a warm afternoon like nothing else in the world ever mattered to them other than their happiness and the comforts of family.

As a chill breeze floated into the house through the windows, the sound of a vacuum cleaner could be heard as Luigi vacuumed the bedroom floor while humming the Luigi's Mansion tune to himself. The green-clad plumber was content, even if he had to deal with messes that Mario made.

While he was vacuuming, Mario was sitting at the table, looking at the computer and messing around on the internet while looking at silly videos involving spaghetti. Oh, how one's spaghetti obsession never went away, even after a yummy, yummy spaghetti meal. Mario could not get enough of anything related to it, not to mention very delicious ravioli.

"Oooooh, that's-a so nice-a." Mario remarked as he watched a video showing a living plate of spaghetti dance on a pile of noodles covered in red sauce.

"Spaghetti sauce, spaghetti sauce..." The sentient spaghetti plate sang in the video, "I can show you how to floss... with spaghetti sauce. Just give the noodles a toss before you floss with the spaghetti sauce..."

"Wahoo! Dance, spaghetti, dance!" Mario pumped his fists, "You're-a so good at this!"

Just then, an email notification cropped up on the screen with an upside down L on it, accompanied by a slight electronic dinging and a voice that said; "You got mail."

'Ooooooh.' Mario thought, 'Looks-a like dancing spaghetti is going to have to wait.'

He turned the internet window back on, put the video on pause, and then he went into the inbox to see the email that was from Waluigi, sent from what was apparently a new email site called 'SMG4Book.'

Mario clicked on the newly-sent email titled 'Wah Party Invite' and looked at the message, reading it with curiosity:

"What's up, everyone?

"I'm having a party today to rejoice my popularity and all of the WAHnderful memes about me.

"Please come and be part of my special party.

"Maybe I might be about to get into Smash as a fighter, so let's rejoice that too.

-From Waluigi."

Mario's interest was perked. A party, he loved parties, especially when there was lots-a food to enjoy there. He never thought that someone like Waluigi would even host a party, let alone in honor of himself, the memes that had involved him, and the likelihood of him getting into Smash even though the latter of which was not likely.

Either way, Mario was on board in a second. He looked at the bottom of the email, seeing the name of the location for where the party would be held. And then, with a grin of delight, Mario tapped the "reply" option and typed his response;

"Sure, I'll come. There better be food at the party. :D."

It had been so long since Mario had been to a party and it nearly felt like forever since the last time there was a Mario Party event. Man, Mario could hardly remember the last Mario Party, (no thanks to the fact he had low-level intelligence and that he was so mentally-challenged, but SHHH).

Nonetheless, he was eager to have lots of fun and there was no way he was going without Luigi. And even though Waluigi wasn't the most popular guy in the world, the fact that he was having a party sounded super amazing. Hopefully, it wasn't a scam, and it didn't sound like one so far, despite all of the sneaky things the Wario Brothers pulled in the past.

Waluigi's email said the party was today, he must have been preparing for it for a while, but what time?

Mario didn't care what time the party would start, he was going and so was Luigi. The fat Italian grabbed some paper, wrote down the name of the place where the party would be at, and then shut down the computer. He headed right to the bedroom to see Luigi, right as his little brother finished cleaning the floor.

"Hey-a, Luigi!" Mario said with glee, "Waluigi's having a party and we got an invitation! You want to-a go?"

Luigi looked to his big brother with surprise. "No way, Waluigi invited us to a party?!" The green Italian exclaimed, "That's-a interesting, did you check to see if this-a for real, Mario? It could sound like a scam, especially since Wario and Waluigi have been scamming people for some time."

"Bro, you're going to miss out on so much fun!" Mario shook Luigi with an excited smile, "There will be lots-a food, hopefully, and we haven't been to a party in-a so long-a. Also, the party is-a today. C'mon, Luigi! There might be spaghetti at-a the party, eh? Hoo-hoo-hoo!"

"Okie-dokie." Luigi chuckled, "If-a you say so, Mario. Let's-a go."

The Mario Brothers tidied up the house a little, then they headed out the door and leaped into the Warp Pipe on the front lawn, ready for some fun. Mario and Luigi smiled with glee as they took the plunge down the green pipe and through the twisting vortex leading away from their house as they thought of where they would go.

Mario and Luigi twisted, churned and fell, bracing themselves until they'd passed through a bright light and popped out of another Warp Pipe emerging somewhere in Mushroom City. Their feet hardly touched the ground just before the large green pipe vanished and they stood in a new location.

"Mama mia, this-a place looks drab." Luigi quipped.

"Maybe the party is in that place, eh?" Mario remarked, pointing towards the building close by.

He and Luigi nodded to each other, all thinking about amazing parties. They both recalled that Wario and Waluigi's house was a dump, just like Bob's place, which fit their sneaky and shady lifestyle. If Waluigi was having a party, he'd obviously picked out this place. Hopefully, it wasn't too bad.

Both Italians walked towards the party building, passing by trash cans and piles of fallen leaves. The sky was clear, but the ground was slightly barren. Mario breathed in the fresh air, thinking of spaghetti. Luigi hummed calmly, not feeling concerned about a thing. Just then, as they approached the entrance, the air began to smell a little strange.

Unbeknownst to them, a gas mine had activated, spraying a chemical in their direction. Seconds later, Mario and Luigi noticed they were feeling drowsy and fell to their knees, feeling very dizzy. And then, their senses left them and the Mario Brothers blacked out...
