Edward's POV
"Ladies and gentlemen, we will beginning to board to Los Angeles in about thirty minutes. Please be ready as we prepare your flight. Thank you."
I gave out a yawn as I looked at my watch seeing that it was five thirty in the morning. Don't ask why we chose to board a flight this early morning on Friday close to the final week of April. Bella's manager, Reyna was the one who booked us the flight, even though Alice was the one who made the decision of the time and date. But hey, over a week off from school is nice. Aro gave me and my friends the excuse to go there, but we would have to make up with all the assignments our teachers gave us to have turn in, but we'll do that when we get back next weekend.
Right now, I am at the gate with everyone as we wait for our flight to be announced that it'll be ready for takeoff. I saw my dad sitting with my mom who is resting with her head on his shoulder while Renesmee was deeply asleep as she lays on his lap. Sue is sitting close by as she was reading a book. Meanwhile, I'm just standing with my friends, some are standing while the others sat down. Of course, we were so tired, except for Jessica who looked wide awake as she typing away on her laptop. All of our bags ad luggages were near us.
"I'm so sleepy." Angela said with a yawn as she laid her head on Ben's shoulder, standing with us both.
"Well, it'll be about three hours until we arrive there. So we can catch some sleep while we can." I said.
"I'll do that…" Angela said, tiredly.
"You don't have to," Ben yawned for a moment. "Tell me twice."
"Seriously, why did Alice had to pick a flight at this early in the morning?" Alec said, groggily as Jane was sleeping on Seth shoulders, clinging on to him as they were sitting down. She's been like that since we arrived here. She's been actually asleep when I first saw her being brought in.
"Hey, early bird gets the worm." Jessica said as she was now looking at her phone.
"What worm? The award shows doesn't happen until Sunday." Seth said earning a shrug from Jessica. Seth sighed as he was sitting next to Jane with Alec. Seth was about to probably move Jane so he could get more comfortable –
"Don't!" Alec hissed causing Seth to immediately stop what he was doing. "Don't ask how my parents was able to get her here and everything. You know how Jane gets when she doesn't get her full eight hours of sleep if she gets woken up."
I shuddered as I remember full well. If you thought Jane was crazy when you piss her off, imagine how she'd be if you wake her up in the middle of the night for example.
"Hey guys," We all turned when Sue called us. "It's almost time to check in." She said as we saw people were lining up where the gate is at.
"Okay," Seth said as he carefully scooped Jane up in his arms, without waking her, with Alec getting her things while mom was waking up as dad carried my sister.
"Looks like it's going to take off on time." I said as we all gathered our things.
"Yeah, you'd never know taking a flight to Los Angeles has a high chance of delays or late flights." Ben said.
"Just imagine how Alice would feel." Seth said.
"The end of the world in her book." Angela said. We were about to take a step and join my family and Seth's mom when,
"Hang on," Jessica said, suddenly and looked around. "Is it me, or is Demetri and Heidi not here yet?"
"We're here!"
"Of course." I said, rolling my eyes as we all turned to see him and Heidi dashing their way over to us, their bags ready and luggage being rolled along until they stopped to catch their breath.
"Damn, I wasn't expecting to make a mad dash through all of this while making sure we didn't get separated and lose our stuff." Demetri panted.
"Ugh, really Demetri? Coming in late at a time like this?" Jessica said in annoyance.
"Hey, it's not my fault my alarm wasn't loud enough to wake me up. I'm just lucky my dad was an early bird and woke me up before it was too late." Demetri said, defensively causing us to roll our eyes.
"Yeah, well you didn't have to drag me into your near tardiness habit." Heidi said, straightening her hair. "I should've gotten an Uber or car pooled with the others."
"Just be grateful you didn't miss the flight." Alec sighed.
"Come on, we better get on the plane. My arms about to get tired here." Seth said as he was still holding Jane, who is still asleep. Once we were all present and accounted for, we met up with my family and Sue who were patiently waiting for us.
"Excuse me," We all turned to see one of the airport staff member approaching us. "Is one of you Edward Cullen?"
"That would be me. Can I help you?" I asked, curiously.
"Oh no, I'm here to assist you and your friends and family to your private jet." She smiled.
Wait, what?! I thought as I looked at everyone who is just as shocked as I am. Seth nearly woke Jane up when he almost dropped her.
"P-Private jet?" I asked to be sure.
"Yes, it's booked and ready to go. Please follow me." She said and turned to walk away.
Okay, I have got to get used to these sudden surprises. I thought as everyone and I made sure we have everything before we followed the staff member through the airport until we were outside. That's when we spotted the big silver plane that was parked away from other planes and I'm sure I'm not the only person who feels like he's not dreaming.
"Everyone, go ahead and leave your luggages in the cart, please follow me inside." She said as we sat our belongings in the cart where a driver was waiting to load them in the plane before following the staff member until we she instructed us up the stairs into the plane.
Once we were inside, we were in complete awe with the sight of it. Damn. I thought. Everything inside looks luxurious as the designs. The seats are slick and clean of black and grey colors. There is even a couch with pillows, facing a small flat screen TV. Ah fuck.
"Alec, can you please wake up Jane so she can be sure I'm not dreaming here?" Demetri asked as he was gaping at the sight of it.
"Go ahead and take a seat, we will begin takeoff momentarily." The staff member said before she left the plane.
Taking her word, we all got ourselves seated and putting our belongings aside. Minutes later, after going over the rules of the flight, the plane took off and we were on our way to L.A. See ya in about a week, Forks.
Taking my suggestion, we all decided to get more sleep during the flight. It wasn't a long one since we somehow woke up two hours later. But that was fine since we felt ready for the trip. Jane woke and thankfully did not go berserk since she got her full eight hours of sleep. Though when she did woke up, she was bewildered and curious to know how did we get here. As we woke up, the stewardesses on the plane served us breakfast and drinks. While everyone was enjoying the flight and what it provides with the service and the Wi-Fi connection available, I looked out the window to where the clear blue skies and clouds were as I was thinking about how fun this trip is going to be.
I really am excited to visit the most popular city of California. I'm dying to explore the city and look around for sightseeing as the Hollywood sidewalk of fame, go to the beach, try out some of the best spots where they serve the best foods, and not to mention getting to meet many celebrities who will be at the Billboard Music Awards. That event I am excited about, but the best thing about this trip is that I get to spend time with Bella. We did got to enjoy our time together with our friends on our spring break, and after that, she and her friends left. And I was once again missing her like crazy. I'm telling you, this long distance relationship puts a lot out of you. All the time effort you put into to try and communicate with someone you love is limit based on our lives and schedule. Thankfully, I only got a month left until graduation and Bella, Charlie and her friends and cleared their schedules to come attend the graduation. Then, I get a whole summer to spend time with Bella doing whatever we want until I start attending UW and play football to pursue my dreams to becoming an NFL quarterback. And when the time comes, Bella will be joining me and attend her classes there. I'm happy that Bella gets to try out living a life as a normal person where she doesn't have to focus on her career. She hasn't mention it to the public yet, but she will announce it soon.
"Whoa!" Demetri exclaimed, causing me to jump from my thoughts as he came up to me and looked out the window. I followed him and sure enough, there it was, the beautiful city of Los Angeles. With each passing second, you can see the buildings of the city getting closer on this sunny weather. Somehow, you can feel the vibe even before arriving that makes you even more excited about this trip.
We arrived at the airport where the plane made a landing near the other planes are. Thanking the staff on board for their service, we exited the plane and was escorted into the airport until we arrived where all of our luggages were waiting at the baggage claim.
"Ah damn!" Demetri said excitedly, while my family and Seth's mom went to the bathroom. "We're here in L.A.! Yeah baby! Ahwoooooohoo! Aaaahh-ha! L.A., YEAH!" He yelled, causing some of the people around us to look at us weirdly. And I thought Emmett had the loudest voice.
"I am so embarrassed." Heidi said with a look that says so, along with annoyance as I chuckled.
"Hey, we've warned ya about this dumbass." Jane said to her with a smirk as Demetri gave out a sniff.
"Ah, is this the smell of L.A.?" He thought. "What is that smell?"
"Supposedly the bespoke scents they spray throughout the common areas in order to help travelers relax and feel very welcomed at the airport." Ben answered. "Plus, I'd say the Santa Ana wind—warm air and salt air and dust, and orange makes you feel like home."
Demetri gave Ben a weird look. "What the hell are you, the king of random facts?" He asked with a scoff.
Ben just shrugged. "I'm the type that likes to look stuff up beforehand." He smirked causing Angela to giggle. That perked up Demetri.
"Ooh! Then can you tell me a cheap but good place to eat?" Demetri asked.
"Do that after we meet up with Bella and the others." Jessica said in annoyance and then turned to me. "Aren't we meeting her?"
I pulled out my phone where I sent Bella a text earlier of our arrival. I opened my messages and sure enough, Bella responded.
Charlie and I are on the 2nd floor. – Bella
"Come on," I said just my family and Sue came over. "Bella and Charlie are waiting." I took the lead as we all took the transportation to the terminal of the current floor, before we took the escalator down to the second floor. Once we rode all the way down, the first thing I saw was her from a distance as she started dashing her way towards me as I dropped my belongings and scooped her up as I spun around with Bella in my arms causing her to giggle.
"Is this my welcome to L.A.?" I chuckled as I set her down, but held her in my arms.
"Maybe." Bella said as she gave me a peck on the lips.
"Geez man, you could've done that after we all got off the escalator." Demetri called out, causing me to roll my eyes as I turned to see him, playfully shaking his head.
"Not any different than how you and Heidi are together." I responded.
"Say one word, and you're little friend will get played with in how you don't want it to be played with!" Heidi hissed at Demetri just when he opened his mouth. That caused him to immediately not say a word. Wuss. I thought with a chuckle.
"You know, Bells, you didn't have to make a mad run to him through the crowd. I swear, you'd give Seth a run for his money." I turned when I heard Charlie as he came over to us, along with a tall man with a muscular body and a young woman with a plump size figure.
"Okay enough about our relationship being too much for everyone." Bella playfully said in annoyance. "Everyone, this here is my new manager Reyna Winters. She was my day-to-day manager. And this big lug head is my bodyguard, Felix Martinez." She said, introducing us to the two.
"Hey, that wounded me right here, Bella!" Felix said, feigning a hurt. "I haven't let anything happen to you."
"Except for when you decided to perform a Combat Carl while being unintentionally drunk." Reyna teased causing Felix to frown as Bella and Charlie laughed. She then turned to me. "So this is the famous Edward Cullen I've heard so much about." She said causing Bella to be embarrassed while I chuckled.
"It's an honor to meet you Reyna." I said, taking her hand to shake. "Bella has told me what great job you've done for her throughout her career."
"Such a charmer, just like how Bella describes you to be." Reyna smiled as she teased Bella. I gave Bella a raised eyebrow as she looked away before she excused herself to where her dad is with Seth and Sue.
"And what else has Bella said about me?" I asked Reyna with a tease.
Reyna just shrugged. "Oh that you're a down to earth guy who doesn't just see Bella as a celebrity, that you're a talented football player, that you're quite the good looker," She added with a giggle. "And she doesn't appear to be lying about that. I mean, if I was fifteen years younger and wasn't married, I would've had a shot with you."
Huh? I thought, having a confused expression along with some of my friends who were listening because what Reyna said, doesn't add up.
"Wait, how old are you?" I asked Reyna as I was trying to remember if Bella mentioned anything about her age.
Reyna gave out a laugh. "I just turned forty-two last month." She answered with a smile. Whoa! I thought as I was stunned about this woman for how she looks despite her age. But then again, my parents are in the same boat so I guess I shouldn't be that surprised.
"Holy shit!" Demetri said with his mouth hanging open. Heidi elbowed him in the stomach. "I thought she was you!" He quickly explained to her earning a big smack in the head. "OW!" He cried causing me to shake my head of his idiocy.
"Dumbass." Jane said in disbelief as Heidi shook her head while Reyna laughs.
"Anyway, I hope the flight was okay. I had to make the best arrangements for you guys. After all, anyone who has my client's heart deserves the best. And those who are a friend of my client is a friend of mine." Reyna smiled.
"Well we do appreciate it, Reyna. Thank you." Esme said to her.
"Of course!" Reyna beamed as Charlie and Bella came over with Seth and Sue. "Alright, shall we get our guests into your guy's home?"
"Wait, how big is your house exactly?" Alec asked.
Bella just chuckled. "It's just a big mansion." She said, playfully rolling her eyes causing my friends to be stunned.
"14,000 square foot mansion with ten bedrooms where five of them are in mini huts by the big pool, a living room with a eighty-seven inch flat screen TV, a library and not to mention a bar near the kitchen." Charlie said, rolling his eyes while my friends and I were dumbstruck. "A little too much with now just us two and Fluff." Huh, I wonder where Renee is staying now since the divorce. "Alright, let's get this show on the road."
"Hold that thought, Charlie." Felix said as I looked to see him craning his neck looking passed us. "Looks like we're expecting company." We all turned to see from a distance over the crowd that was by the baggage claim, were some people coming through the entrance as they were fighting to get by, cameras in hand. Oh no. I thought with a groan.
"Looks like someone tipped us off." Felix said, not looking pleased. "That's to be expected."
"I guess there are some who'll never learn." Reyna said, shaking her head. "They still want headlines about Edward and Bella."
"Not to mention questioning about me." Charlie said as he took Sue's hand behind him.
"How do we get out through them?" Carlisle asked.
"Guys, you know what to do." Reyna said, looking at Bella, Charlie and Felix. They nodded their heads causing us to be confused.
"Bells, take Edward, Ben and Angela. Felix, you get Demetri and Heidi. I got Sue, Seth and Edward's family. Reyna, you can take the twins and Jessica." Charlie said. And before any of us could ask what he's saying,
"Come on!" Bella then grabbed my hand and then Angela's who grabbed Ben and without warning, she took off dragging us with her away from the entrance of the airport. I quickly turned to see everyone in the same situation as Reyna, Charlie and Felix took everyone, Felix actually carried Demetri over his shoulders, but in different directions as they split up.
"Bella," I asked turning to her as we were running through the crowd. "Where are we –"
"This way!" Bella said as she made us take another escalator going down but not to ride it as we continue running. "Come on!" She said as we went through the crowd until we turned a hallway.
I looked back and saw two of the paparazzi from a distance as they were holding their cameras up through the crowd, trying to take pictures of us.
"Don't look back!" Bella yelled and I turned to see her dragging us around through. She made us rush through people on the moving walkway until we took another hallway leading us to a big opening where I saw everyone coming up from different directions.
"First ones here." Felix said.
"Perfect!" Reyna said and looked at the doors to which is actually the doors to the subway. "And right on time!" She said as the subway arrived filled with people.
"Wait for it," Charlie said as the doors opened and people started coming out of the subway while more people arrived from different directions getting ready hop on the subway to their destination. From the top of the escalators, I saw few of the paparazzi appearing as they started pushing people away as they ran down the escalators. "Now!"
Next thing I know was that we were all dragged right into the subway, while going through the crowd that was coming out. There was a lot of pushing and shoving until I was in the subway along with everyone else and some of the people who came on. I did a head count to be sure we were all present and looked out the window just in time to see the paparazzi colliding with one another along with the people who just got off the subway. One of them was a woman who jumped and spun around to pepper spray a paparazzi right in the face when he was on the ground and lifted his head up, only to have his head right up in her skirt which was resulted in a further mess, just as security rushed into the crowd and tried to break it up. Some of the paparazzi were being handcuffed while the that was pepper sprayed was being beaten the living shit by a guy who must be that girls boyfriend while security was trying to break them up while the subway gave away and started moving.
"I think that went quite nicely." Felix smiled.
"Just seeing one of them getting beaten up was just the cherry on top." Reyna said with pleasure.
"You knew that was going to happen, didn't you." Carlisle said to them.
"Call it a hunch." Charlie shrugged.
"That was fun! Let's do it again!" Renesmee said excitedly.
"NO!" My friends cried as I saw them panting hard from all the running we all went through. Okay, I get Ben being dragged along by Angela like a rag doll but what exactly happened to the others being in this state?
"Oh god, I thought we were going to die." Heidi gasped.
"I think we already did… My soul is barely tethered to my body." Jane said weakly, clutching on to Seth.
"Head hurts… room… spinning." Jessica groaned, she held her head as if she was afraid it was about to come off.
"Too… much… running." Ben wheezed.
"Urp – I think I'm going to be sick…" Seth said as he covered his mouth causing Sue to come over to him and rubbed his back.
"I feel like my life flashed before my eyes." Angela said as leaned against the side and took off her glasses for a moment.
"My apologies, but can you guys warn us before you literally drag us into your scheme to avoid being spotted by the paparazzi?" Alex asked as he leaned on the pole for support. "I barely have so many lives left."
Demetri just leaned against the side as his mouth was opened while he gasped for a breath as if he just emerged from underwater.
"Oh yeah, sorry about that." Felix said to him. Okay, I don't wanna know.
"Well regardless, I'm glad we all made it here in one piece." Reyna smiled. Yeah, sure. I thought as I looked at the state my friends were in. "And thankfully, this subway is the alternative route to where our rides are."
"Um, we are walking there, right?" Angela asked causing Reyna, Felix, Charlie and Bella to chuckle.
"You okay?" Bella asked me as she took my hand.
"No harm," I shrugged. "But I am out of breath though."
"Yeah, sorry about that." Bella said as she kissed my cheek. "We had a sneaky feeling about the paparazzi showing up. We didn't want to deal with them now."
"Fair enough. Still, give us a heads up next time." I suggested.
"Deal!" Bella then give me another kiss. "Welcome to L.A." She smiled as I did the same.
Once everyone has collected themselves from the eventful chase. The subway stopped at the next destination and we got out leading towards the exit where two limousines arrived.
Yep, this is going to be one awesome trip.
"Edward, are you ready?" Bella called from the other side of my room. Uh, no! I'm nervous as shit here! I thought frantically as I looked at myself in the mirror making sure I was okay.
I admit, I looked bad ass in this black tux I'm wearing. It looks so slick and clean. And it blends almost perfect with the dark grey dress shirt underneath.
"Just about," I told her, which obviously I was lying as I was trying to get my dark red neck tie on. Fuck, why is my hair so difficult to work with? I rinsed it, but I cannot get it to stay neat. It's a total mess. And that's not the kind of impression I want to give out.
No, this isn't about looking good for Bella. Well it is but that's not it. This is my first ever appearing with Bella to the public at the Billboard Music Awards and I'm a total nervous wreck. Am I worried about people welcoming me when I show up with Bella on the red carpet? Maybe. It's just that I'm being introduced to millions of people who are watching me live as the guy who has won Bella's heart. That, I'm happy about. I guess I'm just worried about how people will react when they see me. News already gotten out since the airport incident that I was here and I will be attending the award show with Bella. Thankfully, the paparazzi haven't invaded on where me and everyone else was staying at Bella's mansion.
Yeah, to say we were stunned being in the presence of someone's mansion would be an understatement. The place was phenomenal! We didn't do much since we stayed at the Swan mansion this weekend. Mostly, watch movies, the Mariners game and hanging by the pool. And uh, don't get me started on the food that was made by the house keeper… or when they ordered takeout. Not even Seth can eat it all. Poor guy.
Back to the topic. Making my debut by Bella's side is going to be a challenge I'm about to face. I haven't felt this nervous since the championship. Am I ready to deal with the cameras flashing towards me as I walk with Bella on the red carpet to the award show? Still debatable. I guess with how I appeared on the tabloids for all the wrong reasons, it's hard to know if I'm able to maintain a calm composure. Even with all the advice I had from Charlie and Jacob on what to expect and preparing myself in case I get interviewed, you never know if you may let one thing slip. But I guess all I can do now is just be ready and have enjoy the show where I get to see Bella perform live.
"Edward, aren't you –" I turned around and was blown away by Bella's golden dress. A thought came into my head seeing it as if Bella was wearing a wedding gown. Add how her hair looks and the makeup she put on, fuck! She's hot! The teenage hormonal boy is running in my mind all the way down causing me to shake my head from my thoughts. I looked to see Bella is still staring me when she walked in. I don't think she noticed me ogling her like a fool.
"Um, do I look okay?" I asked, playing it cool.
Bella slowly walked over to me. "You look gorgeous." She said, planting a kiss on my lips and there you have it. All my nerves went away after just one kiss from her. "Hmm, you didn't have to shave." She said, feeling my face. "It's hardly noticeable."
"Maybe, but I'd like to start things off fresh." I said. "Just let me take another look one more time."
Bella stopped me before I moved as she laughs. "You're worse than Alice, I swear."
I smirked. "I wanted to look as amazing as you are." That there, caused Bella to blush. "Hey, none of that, you look breath taking."
"Alice has been getting better with her designing skills on the dresses. And I was the first subject of Rose's new makeup line. Victoria ended up doing my hair." Bella said.
"Well they've done a great job." I said. "I'm excited to see you perform."
"Well then, let's not make the others wait any longer." Bella said as she linked my arm with hers before we walked out of my room, coming downstairs to see my friends along with Emmett, Jasper, Jacob, Charlie and Sue along with Reyna all dressed up with their dresses and tuxedoes respectively. Of course like me, the guys did attempted to make their hair look presentable while the girls must have spent hours doing their hair and makeup. A few minutes later, Rosalie, Alice and Victoria along with my parents and Renesmee appeared all dressed up as well. We spent a few minutes taking group pictures along with couple photos for some since those like Jessica, Alec, Victoria and Jacob don't have dates to accompany them on the red carpet. Renesmee wanted a photo with Jacob which he accepts. Charlie and Sue got some together.
Once that was done, Reyna told us we should get to the limos since we wanted to beat the traffic on the way to the award show. With three limousines waiting outside, we all got into three groups; I took the one with Bella along with Charlie and Sue, my parents and Renesmee and Reyna and Felix. I got to say, first time being in a limo, it's cool as hell. Literally, it was already cooled with the AC on the minute we got in. As for how it looks, very clean. The seats were comfortable as it even had a TV to entertain Renesmee during the ride. The ride to the award show was uneventful as there was no traffic delays. All of us enjoyed the ride as we drank some beverages that were provided.
Man, is this really what Bella's life is like? To live a life living in a big mansion with all the things many people envy to have? Not to worry much on finances? Dealing with the media and the fans? Pretty much being on of the world? I always thought that when one day I make into the NFL as a star quarterback, I would live the life like Russell Wilson, Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady would have. Of course I wouldn't let fame get to me or be all about the money, but I would live the lifestyle they have similar to what Bella and the others are living. And yet, how they live this way and how they act, makes them feel… normal. Like how I was living my life normally.
I had everything a guy could ask for, a mom and dad who raised me to be the man I am today and my little sister who I adore, a great group of friends who had my back for as long as I can remember, being the star quarterback for my school, what more did I want other than chasing my dreams? That was before Bella came into my life. Not like how I see her as a fan where I only seeing her online, watching her perform and seeing pictures of her. I'm talking about her in person and seeing what she's like. And Bella, is just like me. She's just being her own person who is making a life by entertaining others through acting and music. Other than that, her life is her life to live. She's got a family like mine, friends, something she enjoys doing, and most of all, she's happy, just like I am being happy to have her in my life.
"Edward," My thoughts were interrupted from Bella's voice causing me to turn to her. "You okay? You seem to be in your own world?"
"You can say that." I said. "Just looking back at how my life was compared to yours. Everything you have, everything you do, you make it seem… like it was normal to you."
Bella just gave me a smile as she squeezed my hand. "You're right. I may have the fame, the money and more shoes than I really needed," She chuckled. "But I'm just a girl who just enjoys doing what makes people happy."
"I wish others would see that." I said. Maybe then people would see how it would be like when others say that significant other they like, isn't right for them just because they believe so.
"They should be more like you and your friends." Bella said. "You all treated me and my friends the same way you all treat each other. And what's more, you don't see us as just celebrities, and you're not taking advantage of what we have. Everything about you, the way you treated us was genuine and that is why you all deserve to enjoy this experience."
"I'm grateful for it, love. As long as I get to experience it with you." I said and give her a kiss. "I love you."
"I love you." She said and kissed me again.
"Ahem," Bella and I broke apart hearing Charlie clear his throat. "Not that I purposedly interrupted you and my daughter," He said earning a suspicious look from Bella. "But I believe we have arrived."
As if he timed it perfectly, the ride was slowing down until we pulled up to the curb.
"Show time." Felix said as he got up, opened the door and climbed out first.
"It's time!" Reyna smiled as she followed Felix, accepting his hand to help her out.
"Let's do it then." Charlie said as he took Sue's hand and kissed it before he assisted her out of the vehicle together.
"You two go ahead." Esme said with a smile. "We'll follow you after."
"I'm sure everyone would want to see their favorite star and her famous boyfriend." Carlisle teased.
"Are you ready?" Bella asked me.
I took a deep breath knowing there's no turning back. It's now or never. "Here we go." I said, giving one last kiss with Bella before I climbed out first.
As I did, I could hear the shouts immediately as I turned to hold out my hand for Bella to come out. She took it, and she climbed out of the limo, never letting go. The second she came out, the shouting went wild when they saw Bella. Both of our names were being yelled as we walked on the red carpet hand in hand. There, I can I see people behind the ropes where security is to prevent any incidents as they were calling out towards us. They all have photos of Bella, yelling how much they love her etc. as the cameras were going off like gunshots with all the flashing. Damn.
Bella seemed unfazed as she just smiled and waved towards the press. I just smiled at them and that there caused the fans to go nuts as they were yelling their asses off. I'm sure it's just because I'm with Bella. Okay, so this isn't as bad as I expected, except for the god damn flashes that were making me see spots. Just how many pictures do they need in broad daylight?
"I think I'm about to go blind." I said to Bella.
"I know," Bella said as she waved to her fans before turning to me. "The worst part of these fancy red carpets is that you really shouldn't wear sunglasses." Well that sucks. I thought. "I try my best to ignore them."
"You get use to it when one day you'll become famous yourself, Edward." Reyna said to me as she was by my side with Bella. "Now you just walk with Bella through the line and then you both have to stop every five feet or so to talk to someone."
"Wait, I don't have to talk to them, right?" I asked, having a little panic moment because I wasn't prepared for being interviewed.
Reyna gave me a raised eyebrow before she just chuckled. "Only if they are talking to you." She said as she lightly slapped my arm. "Just be you and answered as honestly as you can without giving out too much. The smaller outlets only get a couple questions, but the big ones get whatever they want. They'll move you along when they're done with you."
Ah fuck. I thought. It's one thing to being questioned and having people talk about me by the media, but to actually being asked by the media themselves, I'm starting to question what I got myself into.
"Hey," Bella said, giving my hand a squeeze. "It'll be alright. It'll be done very quickly. I'm right here."
"Okay." I said as Reyna instructed us to walk ahead on the red carpet that leads to the entrance of the award show. As instructed, Bella and I stopped to talk with one of the people from the media who is here to interview the celebrities. And of course it has to start with someone big, because I was in the presence of Ryan Seacrest himself first.
"And here she is, Bella Swan!" He greeted happily as he faced the crowd where the camera man is. "Ladies and gentlemen, we have America's Princess and her lovely boyfriend we've been dying to meet, Edward Cullen!"
"Hey Ryan, long time no see!" Bella greeted him.
"It sure has been!" Ryan smiled. "How are you feeling tonight?"
Bella smiled brightly as she leaned towards the microphone Ryan was holding. "I'm really excited, especially that I get to perform later tonight. I'm just also happy to be sharing this night with my boyfriend, Edward, and being nominated is just the cherry on top of what's been the best year of my life." I couldn't help but I was beaming because she proudly called me her boyfriend in front of the camera so that the whole world can see how Bella feels. And I fucking love it!
"Happy to hear that, Bella! You're nominated for, I believe, nineteen awards including Top New Artist and Top Artist. That makes you the third consecutive artist in Billboard Music Award history to be simultaneously nominated in both categories in the same year." Ryan said.
"Oh gosh, I didn't think I would make that list." Bella chuckled as she blushed. "I'm just honored to be nominated with all the other great artists who are here and I wish them the best of luck."
"Well best of luck to you as well, Bella! And I can't wait to see you perform tonight!" Ryan said happily.
"Thank you." Bella smiled.
"And Edward," I was caught off guard when Ryan addressed to me. "How are you feeling today?" He asked with a smile.
"Oh well, I'm happy to be here, Ryan. This is an unexpected experience, but in a good way." I answered.
"Well I'm glad to hear it! I've heard so much about you, Edward. Going to college to play pro football. That's pretty exciting!" Ryan said, sounding genuine about it.
"It is." I smiled as I gave Bella's hand a squeeze. "I'm just getting ready to chase my dream, but for now, tonight, I'm happy to accompany Bella and see her perform, and hopefully, win some awards." I said, turning to Bella who blushed and looked away.
"We hope so too! It was nice to meet you, Edward!" Ryan said as he shook my hand. "Enjoy the show and again, Bella, good luck tonight!"
"Thank you!" We both said and we continued down the line.
"Did I do okay?" I asked Bella.
"Not too shabby for your red carpet debut." Bella teased.
"I'm not used to these kinds of interviews." I said as we continue walking and I looked behind me to see my family along with Reyna and Felix as well as both mine and Bella's friend coming along on the red carpet. "I usually get interviewed during football season where it's after the championship game and on the school newspaper."
"Well, you're in the big leagues now." Bella smirked as she stopped us from walking and turned to face the crowd where the photographers are. "Smile!" She said.
And I did as we posed for the camera before continue walking. With each stop, we were interviewed by a lot of reporters. They were all talking to Bella about her nomination and her performance and when it came to me, they just wanted to know all about me. I kept it simple and let Bella have the spotlight since it's about her tonight.
"This gets pretty tedious, huh?" I asked after what felt like the millionth interview we stopped at where we are one interview away from entering inside the building where the award shows is going to happen.
"Pretty much it does when I don't have my friends or Charlie by my side, especially you." Bella said.
And she did it again. I kissed her cheek. "What was that for?" Bella asked.
"Just because." I smiled before we walked up to our last stop before entering the building.
Once we got clearance to go through and met up with everyone who came in after us from the red carpet, we followed the hallways until we found the doorways that leads to the main event. And one step inside the cool area, I was blown away seeing the entire place filled with seats that were filling from all areas. The stage itself where it shows the big Billboard logo all black and blue different from last year's award show looked cool. This place looked bigger than it was on TV. We were directed to where we are sitting and we would be sitting in the middle section where the big stage is split in two due to who's performing and it's a good view to watch. Our section took three rows where Bella, her friends and Charlies names and pictures were on the seats that were assigned so that others just take it. Of course I sat next to Bella with Charlie and Sue and Reyna sitting on one section of the first row with my parents and Renesmee sitting on my other side while everyone else was sitting behind us all.
"Wow! So this is the Billboard Music Awards!" Jessica said in awe as everyone was settling on where to sit over the noise.
"We have seen it a few times before." Jane said.
"You mean you girls seen it a few times before." Ben commented. "We had to suffer in silence hearing every details being blabbed out from you."
"Suffer in silence?" Jessica asked giving Ben a dubious look. "You went ballistic last year when we told you Olivia Rodrigo didn't win Top Artist on last year's awards." She pointed out.
"I have no comment to that." Ben said as Angela rubbed his arm to comfort him.
"I can't believe how big this place is." Demetri said as we all looked around. "I mean look at all these people."
"Is it always like this?" Heidi asked.
"It is an annual thing since it came back in 2012." Reyna explained. "The Billboard Music Award is not like other award shows where the fans have to vote who should win like the Grammys. This is recognizing all the artists with their hit songs and successful albums that made the Billboard charts over each year."
"So in other words, the people who are in charge of the event, gets to decide who wins no matter what." Alec said.
"Not exactly," Reyna said. "It's based on the sales, the digital streams, radio airplays and many other performances of those hits and albums that made an impact on the artists and puts them on the chart. And every week depending on those performances, the rankings could increase or decrease for the top spot on the charts of every genres."
"But this is more than winning the awards," Charlie said. "This is giving out recognition of the achievements that earns the right to be nominated."
"If this is an honor for those who have been nominated, it'll be just like any award banquets for the guys ending their football season." Carlisle smiled. "So let's all wish Bella good luck."
"Guys, stop. You make it sound like I won every award tonight." Bella said, shyly.
"Bella, after the way you took your music career by storm last year, there's no doubt you'll win." Alice said.
"Yeah girl, you had two number one hit singles all from your number one album that has sent like five of them into the top five. There's no way, Billboard will deny you of an award." Victoria said.
"And after your performance tonight, everyone will see why you are the best artist of this generation." Jacob smiled.
"Oh yes, I'm so excited to see perform your new song!" Angela said.
"Well this is to debut my new single," Bella smiled. "But we barely had enough time to get the performance down. I just hope we do good."
"Bella, I've seen you worked your tail off during rehearsals." Reyna said to her. "You never stopped even when the odds were against you and you showed determination to keep going until the end. Tonight, all your guys' hard work will pay off."
"I'm sure you'll do great, love." I said, taking Bella's hand. "No matter what happens, you'll always be Top Artist in my book." I said. Bella smiled as she gave me a kiss just as the whole place was starting to get filled up taking every seat available. During that, photographers were around taking pictures of celebrities and guests attending the show and everyone around me had ours taken as we embraced it like how Bella, Charlie and Bella's friends have. That's when music was being played.
"Showtime!" Emmett boomed as the applause and cheers were made.
"It's the 2022 Billboard Music Awards!" A voice over the intercom announced as cheers were erupted. "Live in Microsoft Theaters of Los Angeles!"
Suddenly, the backdrop was being lifted and the crowd who had access up front to see the live performers started cheering at who was on stage.
"Ladies and gentlemen, David Guetta and Bebe Rexha!" Cheers erupted as the music started playing where the DJ, David himself started playing on his song in a slow motion but I was able to recognize what song he's playing just as Bebe herself appeared.
"Billboard, are you ready tonight?" She said earning cheers just as her dance came on stage in formation. "I said are you ready?!" She held her mic out to the crowd that went louder. "Let's do this, come on!"

Now that is how you start off an award show. I thought as I joined everyone in watching the performance all the way to the end when the music stopped playing and lights changed. Kelly Clarkson was hosting the show and she was doing a good job making this entertaining. During the award show, celebrities and other artists came up on stage to present the award in different categories of different genres and such. Due to the fact that there are over fifty award to hand out, most of the awards were announced around social media and live on other platforms. As the show goes on with various skits and promotions for movies and new music, artists performed live and how they did was amazing in their own way. I got to see The Weeknd, Ariana Grande, Beyonce, Post Malone, BTS, Shawn Mendes and Camilla Cabello, Ed Sheeran and many others live. Any moment now and Bella, who is still sitting by my side, will be performing.
After Bad Bunny finished his performance, Kelly introduced the next presenter for the award, Olivia Rodrigo.
"OW!" I hear Demetri cried and I turned my head to see him rubbing the back of his head. "I didn't say anything!" He said to Heidi causing me to be confused.
"You were gaping at her outfit." Heidi said to him with a glare as I immediately understood now.
"Just say sorry." I said to Demetri before he could say anything stupid. I turned back and noticed Bella was looking at me in confusion. "Don't ask." I said to her as the crowd went silent to hear Olivia speak.
"This next category is so exciting because you can only be new once!" Olivia said over the microphone. "As a fellow artist who was last year's new artist, I'm very happy to shine the spotlight on some of these people who are very new, and very talented. Last year, they all made the top ten on the Billboard Hot 100 and had a number one album that lasted more than a week at that spot on the Billboard 200. Here are the nominees for Top New Artist."
The screen came on and it showed the nominees for Top New Artist. Each artist that was shown with clips from their music videos, the crowd goes wild.

After the nominees were named on the big screen and the applause settled down, Olivia was still on stage, this time with the latest Samsung Galaxy smartphone the presenters were using to announce the winners.
"And the Billboard Music Award goes to," Olivia looked at the phone and then smiled big as she showed it to us, even though we couldn't see the name. "Bella Swan!"
I turned to Bella who was surprised as the crowd applauded and cheered for her. Everyone around us including myself got up as I gave Bella a kiss. She then hugged Charlie and Reyna before we walked herself up on stage where she accepted the award from Olivia who gave her a hug.
"Bella Swan has earned three top five hits on the Hot 100 last year! Two of them became number one, including Let Loose!"
"Oh my gosh, wow!" Bella said into the mic, facing the audience. "Thank you all so much! Personally, I want to give a shoutout to all the other new artists who worked hard last year to be recognized into becoming a singer or a music group because they are amazing. I want to thank my father for supporting me on pursuing a try on my music career. My manager, Reyna who has been with me on my career since day one and made things possible. My friends, everybody who is here with me tonight, including my boyfriend, Edward," I smiled as cheers were being heard. "They allowed me to give things a try and supporting me all the way, and… letting me… do things my way. I wouldn't be up here without them. My label, Cascade Records, the producers, DJs, and all the artists I've collaborated with, everyone who were involved in putting my album together into bringing out happiness and inspiring others has done an amazing job. And of course, to the fans who made it happen. I love you all so much! Thank you again!"
And with that, a round of applause was made as Bella turned and went backstage with Olivia as they announce it was going for another break.
"Good on Bella!" Carlisle said.
"I'm so happy for her!" Esme smiled.
"So am I!" I said, feeling proud of my girl.
"And talk about perfect timing." Reyna said. "Because she is due to perform very soon."
"Oh yes!" Jessica said as she, Heidi, Jane and Angela were screaming with excitement.
"Geez, what is with you girls? She hasn't even started yet!" Emmett said in annoyance, wiggling his ear with his finger, causing me to laugh.
"How did you guys deal with your screaming friends here?" Jacob asked me and the boys.
"You're talking to your fans. What did you expect from us?" Seth said.
"Why do you think people invented earplugs for?" I asked with a chuckle causing the girls to stick their tongues out at me.
"You can endure the screaming fans during football games, this is no different." Jessica said to me.
"Uh it is, because they don't scream their heads off like a couple of banshees. OW!" Demetri cried when the girls hit him.
"What is with you girls and hitting Demetri? Though I guess it's no different to Emmett." Rosalie said with a giggle.
"Hey!" Emmett complained.
"Well Demetri is a big dumbass." Jane answered, giving a dollar to Renesmee.
"Then it is no different to how we deal with Emmett." Jasper chuckled earning a glare from Emmett while Jacob and Charlie laughs.
"Well can you guys refrain the hitting to a minimum? I promised Amun to make sure his son stays intact through out the trip." Carlisle chuckled.
"Wow, thanks for helping me, Carlisle." Demetri said sarcastically causing me to laugh as I turn to my sister.
"Are you having fun Renesmee?" I asked.
"Uh-huh! This is so cool! And everyone is dressed up looking so pretty!" Renesmee said excitedly, jumping up and down causing me to smile. "This is like how we saw Bella at her show!"
"It sure is." I said, remembering how we interacted with Bella the first time.
"Do you think we get to sing with her again?" Renesmee asked.
"I think this is different than her concert since this show is being broadcasted live around the world. Let's allow Bella to perform like how everyone else does it." I said to her gently.
"Okay!" Renesmee said happily.
"Well I am very excited to see Bella perform." Esme said. "I haven't watched her sing since the championship."
"I can't wait either. She has been through a lot since dealing with her mother." I said.
"Have you heard anything about her?" Esme asked.
I looked at Charlie who was talking with Sue and turned to my mom. "Other than the divorced was finalized, nothing. All I heard was that she didn't really fought on what needs to be divided between the two. She hasn't really said anything to him doing the process. Don't know if she'll even be here tonight." I said.
"I hope she won't cause trouble." Esme said worriedly.
"So am I. Everyone now hates Renee hearing how controlling she is and seeing her true colors. It's hard to know what she'll do against that." I said.
"Well just be there for Bella." Esme said. "Divorce is tough on children seeing their parents split, even as an adult. She needs all the support she can get."
"You don't have to tell me twice." I smiled to my mom earning a kiss on the cheek from her.
"Holy shit!" I heard Alec say in a whisper. I turned to see him in complete shock. "Is that Rob Gronkowski?!"
"Wait what?!" I asked, doing a double take as Seth, Demetri, Ben and I followed Alec's gaze until sure enough, someone came over to us.
"Yo what's up you guys?!" Rob yelled excitedly as he came over to us, leaving me and my friends stunned.
"No way!" Jacob exclaimed. My thoughts exactly! I wasn't expecting to being face to face with the three time Super Bown champion of the New England Patriots who is Tom Brady's go-to tight end.
"Well I'll be," Charlie said in amazement as he shook Rob's hand. "I wasn't expecting to see and NFL player be here tonight."
"Ah you know how it is when your team wins games and you make a name out of yourself." Rob smiled. "After all, it's the off season and we're taking it easy before our season starts."
"Well just watch out, because you guys got competition." Charlie smirked.
"We'll see about that. I'm just honored to meet you Charlie! I love all your movies! So you're here to see your daughter for tonight?" Rob asked.
"You betcha! I'm here with our friends who are all here to see Bella." Charlie said introducing us to Rob. Rob looked at us until he saw me.
"Wait, no way! Slayward, The Train, Brave Bird, Volturious and Beast Boy!" Rob exclaimed causing me to nearly drop a brick inside me.
"Hold on, you know about us?!" Ben asked as he and the other guys nearly fainted.
"Yeah, we saw you all play in the championship last year! It was broadcast to all sports network!" Rob said excitedly. No fucking way! I thought as my friends and I looked at each other in amazement. I didn't think we were famous already in sports. "Yo it is honor to meet the famous Slayward and his teammates!"
"I-I-The pleasure is mine!" I stuttered, shaking Rob's hand before he shook hands with the other guys.
"You should've seen my boy Tom, he was dead on about getting our coach to recruit you guys to join our team despite being high schoolers, and I was joking with him saying that if he's taking Edward's teammates, then I'm replacing him with Edward as my quarterback!" Rob said giving out a laugh. "I hope to see you and your friends in the NFL and hopefully get drafted by us! Well… depends if we stay long but still!"
"Uh well, we're hoping to be there one day after college." I said.
"Awesome! Can't wait to play with guys!" Rob said excitedly. That's when someone, one of the stage workers, came over to Rob and whispered in his ear. "Oh it's that time already?" She nodded her head and took off. "I'm about to introduce Bella as our next performer. In fact," He looked at us all and grinned. "Let's have you all join me!"
"Oh hell yeah!" Seth cried.
"Alright!" Ben excitedly.
"Let's do this!" Alec exclaimed.
"Ahwoooooohoo! Aaaahh-ha!" Demetri yelled out, causing me to laugh while Heidi palmed her face in embarrassment.
"Here we go!" Rob said came by side, flinging his arm over my shoulders and faced the cameraman that was aiming at us. Oh fuck! I thought, getting nervous yet excited.
"We're back with the 2022 Billboard Music Awards! Please welcome the three time Super Bowl Champion from the New England Patriots, Rob Gronkowski!"
The whole cheered as they applauded while Rob let out a yell of excitement.
"How's everybody doing in L.A.?!" Rob yelled earning cheers from the crowd. "I hope you guys are having a blast, because I sure am! With me tonight by my side is the future of sports, the one and only star quarterback, Edward Cullen who has won his high school the state championship last year along with his teammates and friends and family, plus the one and only Charlie Swan and the cast of Rainbow Garden!"
"Yeah!" Demetri cheered causing me to chuckle as my friends cheered with him.
"These guys are here tonight, along with everyone else, to see a superstar who has taken the music world by storm last year. Here to perform, debuting her new single, There Is Only You, give it up for America's Princess, Bella Swan!" Rob announced causing the whole place to get loud with cheers by the audience, including us as we applauded for Bella's performance.
We watched as the right side of the backdrop rose while the whole place went black for a moment.

The music started playing as the stage lit up with colors of pink and blue as a line filled with girls were formed who I assume are Bella's backup dancers because they all split in formation as Bella herself appeared, wearing a pink and white school girl style with a red hat as the crowd went wild for her before she started singing.

As everyone was cheering due to Bella's singing, showing off her signature hip swing that makes the fans go wild for, and dancing with her group, lights were flashing on stage as Bella and her group were completely in sync with their choreography. Everyone was loving her performance, as was as our family and friends and myself. Bella looks amazing, sounds amazing than ever before. And her new song was almost like going back in time, because it felt I was going back to how it all started with me and Bella, not knowing about each other's feeling until we gave things a try and now, look how it turned out for us. Bella is just amazing.

The next thing we saw was Bella slowly joined with her dancers side by side as the song played where they were swaying back and forth. That's when bubbles came flying out from the stage and blown towards the crowd. From where we are sitting, I was blown away of the use for bubbles since the melody looked perfect. I saw Renesmee dancing away as she was trying to reach out for those bubbles. I looked back to the stage where Bella and her dancers started dancing again before Bella singing again.

Bella then finishes things off with a couple of dance moves. As she does it, she shows to be smiling, a smile that is real, like she's having fun. She soon joined with her dancers and grouped together and posed just as the song ended, earning loud cheers and applause.

I could hear Bella's friends cheering very loudly while Emmett gave out wolf whistles. Meanwhile, I saw Charlie shedding a tear being proud to see his daughter perform and being happy for what she loves to do.
The backdrop lowered as the lights went back on and Kelly appeared again to get the award show going. After another performance by medley of hip-hop artist and presenting another award from a different genre, Bella came back to us with the same dress she wore for the red carpet. She was met with cheers from us.
"Bella, you were wonderful out there!" Esme said as she hugs Bella and kisses both her cheeks.
"That was an amazing performance!" Carlisle said, giving her a hug.
"Bella!" I got out of the way just in time to see Alice tackling Bella for a hug, joined by Rosalie and Victoria.
"You rocked out there!" Rosalie said.
"Girl, your hips really don't lie!" Victoria said, giving a hip bump to her causing Bella to laugh.
"Out of the way!" Emmett boomed as he comes in and scoops Bella up for a hug. "That's my girl!"
"Put here down, Em!" Jacob said as Emmett did so but then Jacob gives her a big hug. "That's my best friend!"
"Hey, I'm her best friend!" Alice said as she hugs Bella again.
"Okay you two," Jasper chuckles as he comes in and gives Bella a hug. "You really did amazing tonight." He said to her.
"Yeah Bella!" Seth cheered as he and the guys were whistling.
"You were amazing!" Angela said.
"Best performance of all time!" Jane said. "No doubt about it!"
"They better release that song soon!" Jessica said.
"I just got a word from the producer from Cascade Record." Reyna said as she gave Bella a hug. "Right after her performance, they've received emails and messages saying how much they loved Bella's song. It's blowing up like crazy."
"Oh my gosh," Bella said in amazement as Charlie hugged her. Bella then came to me after that.
"You were great out there, love." I said, giving her a kiss. "And I love the song."
"You were my inspiration in writing it." Bella blushed earning another kiss from me as we all sat down and enjoyed the rest of the award show where we saw more performances and awards being given out. After what seemed like forever, Kelly came back on stage as we heard that they have one more award to give out before the final performance.
"Alright, we are wrapping the end of the night so lets congratulate all the winners of tonight and a big thank you to our performers for the evening. We still have one more that I'm really excited about, but now I'm excited to be presenting the biggest award of the night," She was interrupted by cheers causing Kelly to chuckle at their excitement. "Here are the nominees for Top Artist."
The screen went on showing the nominees for Top Artist as everyone in crowd was cheering seeing their favorite artist being named.

The place slowly went silent as Kelly had the phone in her hand.
"And the Billboard Music Award goes to," Kelly looked at the phone. As she did, I reached for Bella's hand and squeezed causing her to look at me as I gave her a smile. Don't know how, but I got a feeling she's going to win this one. "Bella Swan!" She announced as the entire place erupted in the loudest cheers possible. Was there any doubt? I thought.
Bella was shocked until she snapped out of it as we all stood up and was clapping for her. As she got up, Bella was shedding a tear. I hugged Bella, giving her a kiss before she broke away and got hugs from Reyna and Charlie as she made her way towards the stage where Kelly is.
"Bella Swan has won a total of ten Billboard Music Awards, including Top New Artist, Top Female Artist, Top Hot 100 Song for Let Loose, Top Billboard 200 Album for her album Shine and Top Artist of the year!"
Bella, still teary, got a hug from Kelly before she was given the award. Kelly stepped away as Bella stood near the mic, taking a moment as we all clapped for her. All the guys in my area were wolf whistling while the girls screamed for her. Finally, the applaud died down for Bella to speak.
"I'm… I'm blown away right now." She said as she wiped her eyes. "I was certainly not expecting this at all. But to be recognized as an artist here is a huge honor. Last year, I didn't think my music career would take off so suddenly, but I guess it shows that you'll never know what could happen if you don't try. There's nothing wrong with stepping out of your comfort zone and try new things. Whether you succeed or not, you will at least learn from it and keep on going. I wouldn't be up here on stage if it weren't for you guys, my fans. You've been with me since day one way before I started doing music and continue to show support today, and I couldn't be more grateful for it." She's truly amazing being humble about her accomplishment. She did this all on her own. All we did was support her.
She smiled as she continues speaking. "I want to say thanks again for my fans for being the best fans out there and all the love and support they gave out to me. Of course, I wanted to thank my family and friends for who have been nothing but amazing when it came to stardom, being behind me, and showing me what it means to be a star, to be true to yourself and never lose touch of who you are. I'm truly grateful for everything they've done for me. Most of all, I want to thank my boyfriend, Edward, who has accepted me for who I am and supporting my dreams, always being there for me no matter what. There's no one who has loved me more than him. He has… opened my eyes about the world and the people around, showing me that there's more to it than that meets the eye. I feel like having him here tonight is already an award." And that does it. I thought as I wiped a tear coming from my eyes as the people around me applauded. "Thank you all again!" Bella walked backstage as another celebrity gave out a tribute to the final performer Jay-Z before giving out an introduction for him to perform.
As Jay-Z started performing a medley of his best hits, Bella returned and I couldn't resist when I went up to her and scooped Bella in my arms, spun around before I set her down and kissed her. Hey, I don't care if we're in public and in front of my friends and family, I fucking love Bella and I wanted to kiss the living hell out of her.
"I have no words." I smiled as I held her.
"I meant every word of it." Bella smiled. "You're everything to me and my reason to continue my career."
"And I will continue supporting you." I said, earning a kiss from Bella as she came by my side and watch with me in seeing Jay-Z performing. He ended his performance as confetti fell and we all applauded for him as the intercom thanked us for being here and wishing us goodnight.
After the award show was over, we all left the place for the party heading into the VIP lounge where everyone is at to celebrate. The party was just as big like Bella's birthday party, but bigger. There was music playing in the background with all the decorations dedicating to the Billboard Music Awards, plus all sorts of food that you don't see in restaurants. Lots of people of had access were here including many celebrities who I was dying to meet. As we got in, Bella and I were pulled aside as Bella was being interviewed, congratulating on winning and a for her performance. Bella kept it short and sweet as I proudly watch her handle the press before we joined everyone in having fun at the party.
Bella introduced me to a lot celebrities who are here such as some of Charlie's co-workers along with Zendaya and Tom Holland, Lana Condor, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis, the Kardashians, Johnny Depp, Liam Hemsworth, fuck! That was a lot to mingle being met by celebrities. Afterwards, the music changes encouraging people join on the dance floor which Bella and I along with our friends did having the time of our lives until we were out of breath and decided to get away for a bit.
"Woo!" Alice exclaimed. "This is a fun party!"
"You say that about every party." Bella teased with a chuckle.
"I didn't say they were better than this." Alice shrugged.
"What are you, the party connoisseur?" Jacob asked, rolling his eyes as Renesmee was riding on his shoulders.
"I'm what you call a person who enjoys parties." Alice smiled.
"Well none of the less, this is an awesome party!" Jane said excitedly.
"Yes! I can't believe I'm in the presence of so many celebrities who are here and I got to see the award show live and in person! So much to write for my website!" Jessica said, going through her phone.
"How long have you had that phone out?" Demetri asked in disbelief.
"Um, let's see, I'm at thirty percent so… that long?" Jessica said causing Demetri to shake his head.
"Jakey," Renesmee said, still on his shoulders as she tapped his head. "I have to go the bathroom."
"Don't have to ask me." Jacob said as he quickly got my sister off of him.
"I'll go with you." Bella said to her. "I have to go as well."
"I'll accompany you both." Alice said.
"Are you sure?" I asked Bella.
"Don't worry, we'll just be going to the bathroom and back here." Bella assured me and place a hand on my cheek. "Save me a dance when I get back?"
"No problem, love." I smiled, earning kiss from Bella before she, Alice and my sister left. I looked around as I saw Charlie with Sue and my parents who were chatting with other celebrities before I turned to my friends and Bella's. "Hey, where's Seth and Jane?"
"Right here!" Seth said as he came in with a plate of meatball sub sandwich. "Dancing just got me hungry."
"How fast do you eat?!" Emmett said looking flabbergasted.
"Dude, we were on that dance floor for like half an hour after you had that first one!" Jacob said to Seth in shock.
"And I thought those two had bottomless pits for stomachs but you eat more than they do combined." Rosalie said with a chuckle.
"He's an athlete. Gotta turn those pounds into muscles." Alec shrugged.
"… I don't know if that fully explains what's happening here." Victoria said slowly.
"This is what I'm preparing for in my future apparently." Jane said as she rubs Seth's arm.
"So Edward," Jasper clasped my shoulder. "How did you enjoyed being at the award show?" He smiled. "Being in the presence of many celebrities must be exciting for you."
"Truly a great experience." I smiled. "This has been quite a night to see."
"Yeah, I mean haven't I been saying before how it was destiny that we were meant for something like this?" Demetri asked excitedly.
"You're never going to give up on that huh?" Heidi asked, with a sigh.
"Demetri's delusional theory aside, I'm having a great time being here." Ben said.
"Yes, thanks for inviting us here." Angela said.
"Hey, any guy who has won our Bella's heart is one of us. And any friend of Edward's is a friend of ours." Jasper smiled.
"Yeah, you guys are just awesome to be with!" Emmett smiled. "You showed to be extraordinary for a bunch of regular people. OW!" He cried when Rosalie smacked his head.
"What my monkey man of a boyfriend means is that you guys aren't who we expect you to be." Rosalie said. "You guys are known to be our fans but you treated us pretty much the same as you would treat the people you know back in Forks. Plus you gave us a chance to show what your life is like and seeing how genuine you all are, you proved that not all people are crazy ass fans."
"Well, we just love you and Bella and just respect you all as people, not as celebrities." I said.
"Hell yeah! Now get over here my main man!" Emmett boomed as he scooped me in his arms without warning and spun me around. I laughed as he puts me down as Jacob patted my back.
"And we can't wait to see you go pro." He said.
"I'll be sure to get you guys front row seats to my home games." I smiled.
"Edward!" I turned and looked down to see my sister running up to me. "You got to come and help Bella!" She said, tugging my hand.
"What's wrong?" I asked as panic rose inside me.
"She and Alice are in trouble! That guy Rider is with them!" Renesmee said, looking worried.
"Rider?! Rider Daniels?!" I asked in shock as were everyone else and Renesmee nodded her head. Fuck! I haven't heard about Rider since the scandal he pulled to make Bella go out with him into making the public believe they were dating and he got exposed on live TV. I wasn't expecting him here.
Hearing this, I took off running as fast as I could with my friends right behind me as we went to find where the restrooms are. We turned a corner and saw by the restroom doors was Alice who was being restrained by two guys as Bella was trying to fight off Rider.
"Get off of me barf for brains!" Alice yelled at them.
"Let me go!" She cried as Rider has a hold of her wrist.
"Don't fight it, you know you want to be with me. Come with me quietly and we can have a good time." Rider said with that wicked smile causing me to see red when he used his free hand to cup Bella's face. FUCK NO!
I rushed in and grabbed Rider by the shoulders and yanked him off of Bella roughly just as Ben, Demetri and Alec ran passed me and tackled the two guys holding Alice causing them to let her go before Seth jumped in and reared them straight to the wall single-handily until he got assistance with Alec, Demetri and Ben into restraining them.
"Clearly, you haven't learned your lesson since being embarrassed on live television." I said to Rider angrily.
"Who the fuck invited you here?!" Rider asked me. "Who let this nobody in?"
"Hey, this nobody has a name and his name is Edward Cullen!" Emmett snapped at him. "And we invited him dipshit since he's Bella's boyfriend."
Rider scoffed. "This again? You really believe Bella would date this low life when she could've been with me?"
"We do, because Edward didn't use Bella and cares less of her like you did." Rosalie said with a glare.
"What's wrong with me and Bella? We were the next big thing until she decided to run away from our relationship." Rider said.
"You lied to everyone saying you and Bella are in a relationship without her consent!" I pointed out. "You made her go through with the charade just for some publicity! Bella just stated the truth about your plans."
"Yeah and I then get some bullshit from the press saying I was on drugs of some sort. Where did they get that from? The point is, Bella loves me and she won't admit it!" Rider stated. Oh for fucking god sakes!
"Quit being so dense and open your goddamn eyes, Rider!" I said in frustration. "Bella loves me and I love her! She doesn't love you, and she never will! Even if I wasn't with Bella, she will never go out with a guy like you, especially for what you did to her. The way I see it, even if the drug stories was not true, it's over for you! You're done!"
"FUCK YOU!"
At that moment, Rider was about to throw a punch at my face, but I anticipated that and moved out of the way. What I didn't anticipate was Bella being right behind me and she took the hit, causing her to fall to the floor.
"BELLA!"
Before I could come at Rider and retaliate for what he did, something pushed me aside and I saw Jacob grabbing Rider by the collar of his shirt and pinned him to the wall full of rage, before he started punching him earning some gasps. I turned and was stunned to see we got a full crowd who came as camera's were flashing where everything is at.
"HOW DARE YOU?!" Jacob roared as he continues striking Rider hard earning a crunch coming from Rider's face.
"Jacob, stop!"
"That's enough Jacob!"
Jasper, Emmett and Charlie came in and tried to pull Jacob off of Rider who still manages to hold on to him.
"Jake, let him go! It's over now." Charlie said to him as Jacob eventually calms down, breathing hard as he lets go of Rider who groans while slowly getting up. That's when security came in and got Rider and his friends in their hands and escorted them out of the building as cameras continue to flash at them and us.
"Everyone, please leave! Return to the party! Everyone get lost!"
"Bella, are you okay?!" I asked frantically as I got down where everyone is gathering around Bella who is sitting up but holding her face covering her eye.
"She's alright." Carlisle assured us as he took a look at her. "No signs of head trauma and her sight appears to be focused other than a black eye Rider gave her."
Bella groaned as she gently removed her hand showing the bruiser on her right eye. "Go ahead, it's bad, isn't it."
"… I'm sorry, am I supposed to be honest or just lay it out gently and lie?" Emmett asked causing Jasper and Rosalie to roll their eyes.
"No worries, we just need to ice it and let it rest." Carlisle said to Bella.
"I think we should just call it a night then." Charlie said. "I'd like to have a word with security to know how Rider got here if he wasn't invited tonight." He said, looking mad.
"I'll go with you, Charlie." Reyna said. "I have to deal with the press who are now wondering what happened. Felix, make sure everyone gets into the limousines without any incidents. I'll call for them. Emmett, Jacob, would you mind assisting him?" Reyna asked them and they nodded their heads before she and Charlie left.
My friends left first and then my mom, Renesmee and Sue left next as Felix, my dad and Bella's friends gathered around me and Bella as we walked our way to the exit.
"Bella, are you okay?" I asked her as I held Bella close to me.
"I'm fine, other than the pain throbbing." Bella groaned, covering her eye.
"Love, I'm so sorry." I said causing Bella to look at me. "I didn't know you were behind me. I should've just take that hit from Rider."
"No don't." Bella said, placing a hand on my chest. "I wasn't expecting him showing up here tonight. I'm just glad you came in time."
I sighed. "Still, –"
"Hey, enough." Bella said to me softly. "Rider's gone now and hopefully for the last time."
"It better be the last time." Victoria said bitterly. "How did that jackass get here if he wasn't invited?"
"Don't know, but Rider needs a reality check, because he seems to believe he's still top of the world." Jasper said.
"Jacob, that was completely stupid of you to do that to Rider, even if he deserved that for what he did to Bella!" Alice said to him causing me and Bella to be confused what she's talking about.
"Hey, better me doing that than Edward." Jacob defended.
"Jake, what's she talking about?" Bella asked.
Jacob sighed. "Rider already brought attention when we found you guys with him and his posse. Edward has already gained too much of the fame for all the wrong reasons." He explained. "So I had to pushed Edward out so he doesn't let his emotions get the best of him again."
Now that makes sense. If I had been the one who had beaten up Rider, then I will be continuing to bring a lot of media attention which will make the press make up more headlines about me and people questioning who I am. I get it, but still, he didn't have to do all of that. I mean I had the same thought of what I wanted to do to Rider, but breaking his face was not what I had in mind.
"Jacob, you pretty much brought the spotlight now on yourself which will include people questioning the person you are." I pointed out.
Jacob just shrugged. "Eh, guess I had to build a reputation growing up at some point. Maybe now, girls will be scared of me and I can have a little peace." He said.
"I doubt that." Victoria said.
We arrived at the exit and just as expected, cameras were flashing towards us as we were trying to make our way to the limos. It's hard with all the cameras pointing at us and the photographers themselves shouting out questions.
"Edward!"
"Bella!"
"What happened tonight?"
"Was Rider there? You haven't spoken to him since the Jimmy Fallon show."
"Was there a fight out there?"
"Was it Edward or Jacob that attacked him?"
"Is there a love triangle going on? Was that why Jacob attacked Rider?"
Are you fucking kidding me? I thought as I pulled Bella's head to my chest so that no one can see her black eye.
"Just ignore them and keep going." Alice said to me.
"Out of the way! Move it unless you want me to break your cameras!" Felix threatened causing the people who were blocking our way to the limo to step aside immediately as they lowered their cameras. "Get in." He said to me and I got in with Bella.
"Well, that sure was a way to end a night." I said to Bella.
Bella gave out a little chuckle. "What's a party without drama."
"I think we've had too much drama in our lives." I said with a laugh as I kissed her forehead.
Well that sure was something huh? Alright time to make like the critics who watched the award shows and tell me what you think!
I guess I'll start things off with the song Bella performed. It was a song I listened to nonstop and yes it was Chinese and the lyrics were… challenging to translate and use words that are just simple. But I love the meaning of it and the melody itself that seemed perfect for Bella!
