Chapter 3: A Trial and a Birthday party
It was 6:59 in the morning on Friday July 31st, 1998, Cho was in the kitchen of Harry's flat in her blue tank top with black booty shorts cooking up some bacon, sausage, eggs, and French toast for breakfast. After the Battle of Hogwarts Harry went to Gringotts to pay off three hundred thousand galleons in damages that he, Ron, and Hermione did when they broke into the wizarding bank to get the cup of Helga Hufflepuff, however the director of Gringotts assured the golden trio and admitting they should have kept an eye on what objects to be stored in the vaults. Later that day Harry claimed his title as Lord Potter and Black since Sirus wanted Harry to have the fortune. Kingsley Shacklebolt took over as the new Minister for Magic and began to de corrupt the ministry arresting Death-Eaters and their Sympathizers. Kingsley also removed the Dementors from Azkaban and had Aurors take turns guarding the Wizard Prison. While Hermione and Ron went find her parents in Australia after the battle of Hogwarts both Harry and Cho took this time to reconnect their already broken relationship without any distractions this time. Cho was done plating as well; she took the plates to the bedroom where Harry was sleeping until the smells of cooked food woke him up.
"Happy Birthday handsome" Cho said handing a plate to Harry.
"Wow thanks babe this looks amazing. Harry said looking at the food.
"Your welcome honey, so what's the agenda today?" Cho asked
"Let's see there is the trial of Delores Umbridge that is happening at 9:00 then we are going to have a celebration after the pink bitch's downfall later on its mine and Neville's birthday party at your uncle's restaurant The Golden Lotus Dragon." Harry answered.
"Okay, why Umbridge hasn't been locked up yet?"
"I guess Kingsley wanted to go through everything that Umbitch has done and not let her slip through the cracks of justice this time. Also, there were lot death eaters that fled and sympathizers to punish. Harry told Cho.
"Seems fair, anyway let's eat." Cho said digging into her food and Harry followed suite.
Two hours later, Harry, Cho, Neville, Luna, Ginny, and other Dumbledore's Army Members entered courtroom ten, where Delores Umbridge's trial would take place. It wouldn't be long until everyone was seated when Umbridge was brought in wearing a prison gray uniform instead of her horrible pink cardigan. She looked at everybody with disdain as she was being secured in her seat. A few minutes later Kingsley came in and sat on the chair behind the Judge's desk and started to bang on the gavel three times to start the hearing.
"Court is now in session, today we are here to discuss the charges against Delores Jane Umbridge and what her punishment wou-."
"Hem-hem, M- Minster Shacklebolt have you know that I plead not guilty to the charges brought against me." Umbridge interrupted.
Disgusted by this the Dumbledore's Army started to boo and jeer at their former Defense Against the Darks Teacher Dean Thomas being the loudest said, "Not only you were a foul teacher you had me, and other muggle-born students be on the run for an entire year due to that Muggle-Born Registration Commission you ran and then-."
"Order in the court that's enough Mr. Thomas." Kingsley said banging the gavel "About that Mr. Thomas Headmaster McGonagall has informed me that any students that was on the run or was falsely imprisoned by the Muggle-Born Registration Commission, can go back their Studies at Hogwarts if they choose too." Kingsley assured Dean. "Now then let's get back to why we are here Auror Dawlish could you administer the Vertiaserum to miss Umbridge."
"Yes sir." Dawlish said.
Dawlish administers three drop of the truth telling potion down Umbridge's throat staying next to Umbridge until the potion took effect. Soon Umbridge's eyes became cloudy and went into a trance.
"State your full name." Kingsley ordered
"Delores Jane Umbridge" said in a monotone like voice
"When were you born?"
"I was born September 19th, 1951."
For the next ten minutes, Umbridge admitted that she sent dementors on Harry on the summer before his fifth year, she also admitted to taking bribes from Lucius Malfoy before the Second Wizarding War started as well as attempting to use the Cruciartus curse on Harry even trying to kill both Harry and Hermione in the forbidden forest, torturing students with the blood quill, and sending Muggle-born witches and Wizards to Azkaban. Umbridge was found guilty of three counts of attempted first-degree murder of Harry James Potter twice and Hermione Jean Granger once, attempted second degree murder of Dudley Dursley, bribery, torture, and genocide.
"The court finds you Dolores Jane Umbridge guilty of all charges you are sentenced with Life in Azkaban without the possibility of parole." Kingsley said then notions the guards to take Umbridge away.
"What!? no you can't do this!" Umbridge said as she was being hauled off to Azkaban by the guards.
The Dumbledore's Army cheered that their former Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher who terrorized Hogwarts in the school year of 1995- 1996 has been thrown the book, Harry announces that a party will be held at twelve Grimmauld Place.
A few hours later the party was at full swing as everyone was enjoying the drinks, music, and food there was a knock on the door Harry opens the door, it was Ron and Hermione who came back from Australia they both gave Harry a big group hug the golden trio was reunited once more. Ron and Hermione entered the house and were greeted by everyone.
"So, how was Australia guys? Harry asked
"It was wicked not only we went the Australian Zoo and met this bloke who messing around with big Crocodiles, Lions, Tigers, and Venomous Snakes." Ron replied.
"His name is Steve Irwin Ronald." Hermione chimed in.
"Oh yeah that guy."
"Sorry we couldn't make it to Umbitch's trial because of our flight being in a holding pattern at Saigon for an hour." Hermione apologized
"It's okay all you have to know that Umbitch is a permanent resident at Azkaban." Harry assured her."
"I can drink to that." Ron said taking a swig of his glass of butterbeer
"Same here mate" Harry said
"What else you guys did over there?" Cho asked.
"We saw a Quidditch Match between Australia and China." Hermione replied
"Who won?"
"Australia did, the final score was 400-130."
"Wow that's impressive." Cho said
"Yeah it was anyway when are you are you and Cho going to start traveling the world?" Hermione asked
"Well we're going to Portugal on Monday followed by Spain then France after that." Harry replied
"Oh that's amazing I'm glad you guys are going to travel all around the world together." Hermione said, "I'm also happy that you two rekindled after the war."
"I never thought it was possible after all that drama with my so-called 'friend', dealing with Cedric's death but none of that matters anymore what matter now is my love for Harry." Cho said wrapping her arms around his neck at the same time Harry held her waist.
"Same I thought our relationship would never happen again; however, it seems the universe had other plans." Harry said
"And gave us a second chance."
"Indeed, it did, I love you Cho." Harry said
"Aww I love you too Harry." Cho said kissing him on the lips and Harry kissing her back.
"We got another party right at the Golden Lotus Dragon?" Hermione asked
"Yep, I'm going to check on things over there." Cho said giving Harry another kiss
"Okay see you later babe." Harry said.
A few hours later, at the Golden Lotus Dragon, the restaurant was closed for the day for Harry and Neville's birthday party. The cake was presented into the dining hall, everyone was in awe at the site of the cake with it having an image of Harry fighting Voldemort and then changing to Neville holding the sword of Godric Gryffindor at the Battle of Hogwarts. After singing the Birthday song to the former Gryffindors, Harry and Neville blow out the candles then Cho's mother Lin starts to cut out portions of the cake to everyone.
"This cake is delicious Mrs. Chang." Harry said with a mouth full of cake.
"Ugh Harry could not talk with your full gosh sometimes you are just as bad Ron." Hermione said in frustration
"Don't worry Hermione there is an old saying that the quickest way to a man's heart is his stomach." Lin chimed in
"That is correct dear." Jin said
"So, is everything set for you and Cho's overseas adventure Harry?" Lin asked
"Just about were setting of to Libson on Monday at 9 in the morning." Harry replied
"You guys are going to have so much fun." Lin said
"We will." Harry and Cho said in unison
