Walking into the temporary building for UNIT Graham admittedly spots Ace standing next to Kate talking to her. "You are staring at her," Tegan comes up behind Graham.

"I wasn't staring."

"Sure and I didn't fall for Nyssa while on the TARDIS." Graham looks to Tegan, "you don't have to prove a point Graham, everyone minus Ace can see it." Tegan walks off as Ace turns around and smiles at Graham.

"So stranger," Ace comes up to Graham, "is Ryan home, I know you said he was on a plane the other night."

"He is at home, probably still sleeping. I met your brother the other night, do you want to meet my grandson this weekend?"

"I would love to meet Ryan."

Kate walks to the center of the room, "ok everyone we are only here on a temporary basis, thanks to a few donations we can build a new building, though this one will not be far from a certain foundation," Kate looks at Ace who holds back a smile. "Now this one is going to be nearby for a few reasons. Sometimes we need Ace, Tegan has two family members working there, and I am sure most of you can guess the last reason." Everyone looks at Ace and Graham who look everywhere but in the eyes surrounding them. They eventually look into each other's eyes and try not to smile.

Graham thinks to himself, 'how am I going to tell her how I feel. Each time I get close to it something happens. Mostly Nyssa interrupting with something that needs Ace's signature when I am at A Charitable Earth, and of course the other night Liam was there.'

'I do like Graham, but don't want to push him into anything.' Everyone starts to get to work typing on laptops seeing if there has been any suspicious activity. At lunch Ace and Graham sneak away to a little café.

"How do you feel that the new building is going to be your next door neighbor?"

"If I am honest with you, I originally built it here in London so I can keep an eye on UNIT, this was before Kate took over."

"How would you feel about regular lunches?"

"We already have regular lunches, Graham, and I enjoy them."

"Good me too, I have liked getting to know you."

"It has been nice getting to know you too," Ace replies, hazel eyes meeting blue.

"Ace, I," there is a loud crash from the kitchen, and they both stop thinking what they were thinking and look at the time. Quickly paying they head back to work laughing.

"Well, well, well, do we have two people who keep saying they aren't dating, coming back from what seems like a lunch date," Tegan teases them.

"We were not on a date, Tegan, Graham just wanted to talk to me."

"Isn't that what people in a relationship do?"

"What they don't have to do is sneak about from their friends and family who want to butt in," Graham adds tired of everyone but Ace at that moment. He walks away.

Tegan and Ace watch after him, "did I say something wrong?"

"I think he is in the same boat as I am, tired of everyone interfering. My brother says hi by the way."

"He told you?"

"I was quite angry with him when he was spying on Graham and I when I walked him out to the car."

"Liam met Graham?"

"He did."

"What does Liam think?"

"He thinks everything is hilarious, and glad that he can finally fulfill the younger brother cliché, at least he won't be running to our parents."

"He will probably come running to one of us."

"I hope not, Graham and I haven't admitted that we like each other."

"It should happen any day now. When he got here this morning he was looking at you." Ace blushes. "Though he tried to deny it." Ace starts to get an idea. "What are you thinking?"

"I will turn it up to 11 when it comes to being around him, though I will make sure no one is around."

"You sure Ace?"

"I am more than sure." Ace walks up to where Graham is typing away. "They are not going to stop," she whispers in his ear. Graham felt her breath before he heard her voice. He just nods, not being able to find his voice. Ace saunters off to talk to Kate. Yaz then walks up to Graham.

"What did she say to you?"

"Nothing."

"I highly doubt that, remember how many days you, Ryan, the Doctor and I spent together."

"I know."

"Weren't you just about to tell her how you feel the other night?"

"I was, but Yaz, we are here to work, we should be doing just that."

"You are no fun, with Ryan being home now you will be getting a double dose."

"Speaking of family, did you tell them about Ryan and I may be ok with coming over for dinner one night."

"I did, I also told them the fact you are interested in someone. My mum said to invite her for dinner next weekend."

"This weekend Ace was coming over to meet Ryan."

"You are having her meet Ryan before you two are together," Yaz wiggles her eyebrows. "You sure you aren't together."

"Yasmin."

"Ok ok, I am done." Yaz walks away as Graham gets back to work.

That night Ace is settling down with a glass of wine when she gets a phone call. Looking at it she smiles at the name on the screen, "I would think you would be spending time with Ryan."

"Yaz wanted to take him out for a drink to catch up, they haven't seen each other since he and I left the TARDIS."

"Didn't they go to school together?"

"They did, friends for a few years, then grew apart until the Doc landed on a train."

"Now, they are close again."

"Like siblings, like you and Tegan."

"You are like a grandad to Yaz and Ryan's grandad."

"Exactly."

"What are we?"

"We are more than that, though I would like to see you in person when I tell you."

"You would?"

"Yes," Graham whispers. "Oh Yaz told her family about you, and said they want to have you by for dinner with Ryan and I next week."

"I would love to," Ace thinks of what it will be like, 'spending more time with Graham will be great.'

"Ace, are you there?"

"Sorry, my mind went somewhere."

"Good place I hope?"

"Wonderful place," Ace smiles into the phone, "have you told Ryan about me coming over for dinner this weekend?"

"I have, he said he is looking forward to meeting you," Graham thinks to himself for a second, 'the woman I can't stop talking about.'

"I am looking forward to him too. Who knows, maybe one day, you, Ryan, Liam and I can all have a meal together. With Liam living in London now he will be coming over more often now."

"What does he do?"

"He has a psychology degree, so he is here to help those who need him."

"Also be closer to his sister."

"That too, we are close, even though we didn't get to grow up together."

"Now here you are as adults, the two of you are very close."

"That we are, and here I am growing close to someone else, in a different way."

"I never thought I would grow close to someone so fast in the way I am growing closer to you, Ace."

"Same here."

"You are."

"Please don't."

"Amazing."

"Thank you."

"Anything Ace."

"Graham," she sighs as he laughs. They keep talking for a few hours when Ryan comes back.

"Ryan is here Ace, I should go. Goodbye Ace."

"Goodbye Graham, see you tomorrow."

"Yes, you will."
