When he realizes the young woman is Katniss Everdeen, traumatized and alone, the pair begin a journey to District 13... and of self-discovery. Can two people, two lost souls, find love to make a family?

The Rebellion has been crushed and the Dark Days are over. Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, the Capitol has taken control once more. To make sure that the districts never forget their defeat, the Capitol institutes the Hunger Games: a battle to the death using the districts' children. Whether these children will become phoenixes or stay ashes- that's up to them.
