Disclaimer: This story exists as if the movie, "Across the Second Dimension" never happened, so please try to use your imaginations while reading. I don't own Phineas and Ferb.

Chapter 1: Cheeseburger Ice Cream

General POV: Second-Dimension Danville

It was a normal day in second-dimension Danville, Phineas and Ferb were sitting under their tree trying to come up with an idea for how they wanted to spend the day. They had it narrowed down to flying robots that play ping-pong and an elevator to Mars. They then heard the fence open and a raspy, but familiar voice.

Buford-Hey Gidderbell, me and Baljeet are arguing about whether a cheeseburger would taste the same if it was made into ice cream.

Baljeet-All I'm saying is that to make ice cream you need eggs, milk, heavy cream, and all these other ingredients that would take the flavor of the cheeseburger away from the ice cream.

Phineas-That's a great question guys. We can make something that turns whatever into ice cream. Ferb?

A thumbs up from Ferb led the group to get building.

Isabella-Hey Phineas, whatcha doing?

Phineas-Oh, hi Isabella, we're making a machine that turns any food into ice-cream.

Isabella-Cool! Does it work on drinks too?

Phineas-We could probably make that happen.

Isabella-Cool, I'm gonna go get some food to try!

Phineas-You guys go get some snacks too, I can finish the machine

The gang returned with all kinds of snacks, Buford brought his mom's chocolate chip cookies, and a cheeseburger for his argument with Baljeet. Ferb grabbed a piece of Linda's apple pie, Isabella grabbed a bag of tortilla chips and some queso, and Baljeet grabbed some grapes and a bottle of apple cider.

Phineas-Who wants to go first?

Buford-Me

Buford runs to the machine and puts the plate of cookies into the microwave-shaped vessel of the machine. After 30 seconds and the ding of a bell, chocolate chip cookie ice cream was found in a bowl. Buford swapped the bowl out for the cheeseburger in his other hand and after a brief waiting period, cheeseburger flavored ice cream was there. It smelled surprisingly like a fresh patty off the grill.

Isabella-Hey Ferb, can you go and get some spoons for us?

The green haired brit complied and returned with five spoons, handing them out one by one to each of his friends.

While Ferb was fetching spoons and handing them out, Phineas turned his Mom's apple pie, Isabella's chips and dip, and Baljeet's grapes into ice cream. The ice cream machine dinged for a final time for Baljeet's apple cider. and all the ice cream was made.

Phineas-So whose should we try first?

Buford-Let's do the cheeseburger first, that's why we did the ice cream machine in the first place

Ferb-I think we should do that one last, and build up the suspense a little bit

Baljeet-As much as I want to prove to you that your ice-cream will not taste like a cheeseburger, I agree with Ferb

Phineas-Well, alrighty then. Isabella, can we try yours first?

Isabella-Of course!

After passing around the first five bowls of ice cream, their favorites were the apple pie, and chocolate chip cookies, although Ferb liked the apple cider the best and Phineas enjoyed the grape flavored snack. Finally, they had reached what they were waiting for.

Buford-Give me the first bite

As he took a bite of his cheeseburger ice cream, his eyes lit up, the ice cream tasted exactly like a cheeseburger that was fresh off the grill. The only difference being the temperature.

Buford-Try that, man! That is so good!

Baljeet reluctantly takes a bite and his jaw hit the ground.

Baljeet-Alright Buford, you win

Buford laughed aloud as he picked up Baljeet and gave him a fat noogie

Buford-Ha!, I knew it'd taste like a cheeseburger, I knew it.

Isabella-Hey Phineas, does your grass always glow like that?

Phineas turned toward Isabella with a puzzled expression on his face, scanning the backyard until he saw the patch of grass next to the house that was glowing.

Phineas-No, I've never noticed that

The group heads over to the spot and Ferb and Baljeet inspect the grass.

Baljeet-There doesn't appear to be any insects, or fungus in the grass that would make it glow.

Buford goes to put his hand in the grass, trying to move it when suddenly it comes out in one piece, revealing a slide that leads to somewhere completely unknown to the boys, who had spent their entire lives living in this house and playing in this backyard.

Buford-Woah, that was not what I was expecting

Phineas-We have to go down this slide right, what if someone needs help and that's why it started glowing.

Baljeet-I do not know Phineas, we have no idea of what is down there. It could be extremely dangerous and is incredibly risky.

Phineas-Well that's a chance I'll just have to take.

Phineas went down the slide first, quickly followed by Isabella, and then suddenly the hole at the top of the slide closed and slowly disappeared leaving nothing but dirt where the slide once was

.

Baljeet-Oh no! Phineas and Isabella are now stuck underground! We have no idea where they are, no idea where this slide leads, and no way to contact them to see if they're ok!

Ferb-We also don't know something bad happened to them, they are both incredibly smart and more importantly they are together. They will work through this.

Baljeet wanted to believe it but he was in internal panic mode, two of his best friends had just disappeared and he had no idea what would happen to them.

Buford-You guys think it'll happen, while they're on their little journey?

Baljeet-What will happen, Buford?

Buford-You think Phineas will tell Isabella?

Baljeet-Tell her what?

Buford-You know

Then it clicks in Baljeet's head, he's talking about Phineas' crush on Isabella.

Baljeet-Buford, now is not the time!

I said in the Intro that in this world, the Phineas and Ferb movie "Across the Second Dimension" didn't happen. That means the characters from that movie aren't the same characters that will be in this story, no Doctor Baljeet, no Isabella from the resistance, just the same five kids you know from the original.

In the second dimension, Phineas likes Isabella, which is different than in the original. A few things will be different between the two dimensions but this is one that I wanted to play with and will make for a fun interaction in a later chapter.
