I have been a fan of Tai and Meiko pairing. We all have our favorites. But Tai/Meiko is also a favorite of mine after watching the Digimon Tri movies!

Tai Kamiya walked along the harbor, his hands stuffed deep in his pockets. As he walked someone bumped into him.

"Oh, I'm sorry!"

"It's ok." Tai said as he started back around, then stopped when he caught the straight dark black hair and glasses. "Huh?" He turns around completely. "Meiko?"

Meiko Mochizuki stopped and turned around. "Do I know you?"

"It's me, Tai." He places a hand on on his chest. "Tai Kamiya."

Her eyes light up behind her glasses as she recognized him, of course she should've known with his hair. "Tai!"

He smiled. "Hey, how are you doing?"

"I, I'm ok. Thank you." She smiled. "What about you?"

He nods. "I'm." He hesitated for a moment. "I'm good."

There was a little awkwardness. "Are you in a hurry to go somewhere?" Tai asked.

Meiko shook her head. "No, um, actually. I was looking for you." She blushed. "And the others!" She quickly added.

Tai smiled a little. "Are you hungry?" He asks. "We can grab a pizza." He offers. "My treat."

In the park. Sora and Matt are walking down a path. "I've been thinking." Sora starts as they walk arm in arm and the side of her head on his shoulder.

"Yeah?" He asks.

"We should all go to that campground." She starts. "You, me, TK, Tai, Kari, Mimi, Izzy and Joe." She lists. "That's where it all started right?" She looks up at him. "Where we were all sucked into the Digital World."

Matt looked unsure. "I don't know."

She frowns, looking away. "You're right." She nods. "It's gonna be the first anniversary for Gabumon and Agumon. It might be hard."

Matt leaned down to kiss the side of her head. "You lost Biyomon. Let's not forget that."

Sora looked down at the sidewalk with a sad look. "Yeah."

Not wanting to see her like that, Matt smiled. "Then let's do it!"

She looked up at him with surprise. "Wow." She pulls away and fully turns to him. "Really?" She asks. "I just through that out there, I honestly didn't think you'd go for it."

Matt took her hands and squeezes them as he pulls them to his chest. "I'm down. It's Mimi that I'm not sure about."

Sora smiles up at him, then her eyes caught some over his shoulder. "Huh?"

"What is it?"

"I think that's Meiko." Sora blinks. "Meiko Mochizuki. With Tai."

"Huh?" Matt turns around, at the same time letting go of her hands. Yep. He saw Tai a little ways from them with a familiar friend. "Wow. It is."

Sora smiles. "Let's go say hi!" She moves, but frowns when Matt grabs her hand to stop her and she turns to him.

"I think we should let them be for a little while. Don't you?"

Sora turns from him to see Tai and Meiko now walking away in a different direction. Sora turns back to Matt and smiles. "Yeah."

"Come on, let's go for that movie." Matt pulls his girlfriend down the path they were walking down. "Unless you don't want to see it?"

"Yes! I wanna see it!" She beams. With his own smile, Matt wraps his arm around her and they continue down the path.

Still in the park. Meiko and Tai continue to walk. Tai just finishing up explaining what happened to Agumen and Gabumon.

"Wow." She breathed. "Tai, I'm so sorry." She apologizes as she wipes a few tears off her cheeks. She moves over to a bench and sits down, still stunned by the news.

He smiles a little. "Thanks." He moves to sit next to her.

"Remember Tai, I lost my Digimon too. So I know the hurt and pain."

He looks at her with a little surprise. "Yeah." He agrees. "I'm sorry that I forgot."

She blushes as she turns to look at her lap. "It's ok. It's been awhile since we last saw each other."

"Hey! Is that your future sister-in-law, Kari?" A familiar voice Tai recognized, called out. "She's pretty cute!" Both Tai and Meiko turn to see Davis nearby with TK and Kari as they're both trying to shove Davis into a bush, while Yolei, Ken and Cody shake their heads at Davis' outburst.

"Who's that with Kari and TK?" Meiko asks, as Tai sweatdropped.

"An annoying pest Tai grumped, standing up then offered Meiko a hand. She slides her hand into his and he pulls her up. "Come on." He lead her by the hand towards them.

"I thought that looked like you." TK said with a smile as the two walk up to them. "Meiko, it's great to see you again."

"How are you?" Kari smiled.

Meiko returned the smile, but tried to hide behind Tai at the other three. The original leader took note of this, he smiled a little as he slightly moves and wraps his arm around her shoulders, that just made Meiko blush.

"Meiko, you recognize my sister Kari, and Matt's brother TK." Tai started the intros. She smiled them.

"Yeah." She nods. "Kari, TK. It's really good to see you two again."

"Meiko Mochizuki this is Yolei Inoue, Ken Ichijouji, and Cody Hida." Tai introduced them.

"Pleased to meet you."

"Hi."

"Hello."

The bush suddenly moved, scaring Meiko and she jumped to latch onto Tai. Davis stood up, brushing the leaves off himself.

"And the loud mouth is Davis Motomiya." Tai finished.

"Um. Hi everybody." Meiko smiled at the four she's just met. She then took note of the goggles on Davis' head. "Hey, another goggle head!" She points at him.

Davis stopped what he was doing and stared at her, while his friends laugh. "Huh?" He points at himself, then in a flash is out of the bush. "Only TK and Tai get away in calling me that!" He told her offendedly.

"Then, are you Digidestined too?" Meiko asked, him.

Davis' mouth dropped in surprise as he stands there with a comical pose, while Yolei, Ken and Cody hesitate to answer.

Meiko blinked. "Oh!" She blushes again, and quickly hides behind an amused Tai. "I shouldn't asked that!"

"It's ok Meiko." Kari tried to assure her, walking up to her. "Yes, they're the second group."

The dark haired girl comes out from behind Tai. "Oh, ok."

In a blur Davis is in front of her, and Meiko quickly hides behind Tai again.

"That means you must be one too!" He exclaimed cheerfully.

"Davis!" Yolei yelled, grabbing his arm and yanking him away.

"Ok. I think that enough of the introductions." Tai decided as he turns to wrap his arm around Meiko again. "Let's go." He leads her away from them.

"Wow! Tai's girl is hot!" Davis cried.

"DAVIS!" Both Kari and Yolei shove him back into the bush.

Meiko's hands are on her blushing face, she and Tai weren't out of earshot when they heard Davis' comment.

"That's one way to meet Davis." Tai grumped, his arm still around her. He took a breath. "Want some ice cream?" He asks.

Meiko smiles, she turns to look at him. "That sounds good!"

I've been rewatching watching my Digimon DVD's and my Digimon Tri movies. And plus it has been only 1 year since I lost my cat.
