"Hokage sama. why have we been called here?" Asked Sakura as Hiruzen took a puff from his pipe. "simple" he started. "we have aquired a scroll that has a technique which will allow us to ,as written in the scroll, 'see the deviations of our countless selves'. we found out that it appears to show different versions of ourselves and our world"
"like other dimensions?" Asked Ino.
"exactly, my dear" Hiruzen answered.
"allright" Hiruzen started "since everyone is hear we will start with..." he looked around the room. "Naruto" Hiruzen as Naruto jumped in excitement at the idea of finding out if some of his alternate versions became Hokage.
"Now, just sit in this circle and focus your chakra and pump it into the seal and it will show up on the screen" Naruto did as told and the screen lit up.
It showed what appeared to be someone adjusting a camera to record themselves, once the person stabilized tha camera, Naruto turned out to be adjusting the camera.
But it was a much older version. Looking to be in his early to mid 20's.
"I look awesome!"
"you do Naruto-kun, you do" Hiruzen said as the feed continued.
"this is Uzumaki Naruto, the non-essential systems maintenance chief aboard the Aurora" Naruto began. he was in what appeared to be small room with a ladder in the middle and electronic devices attached to the wall.
"non-essential what now?" Naruto asked confused.
"it means someone who works at repairing systems that aren't exactly needed" Answered Kakashi as he kept his reading his book.
"and what's the 'Aurora'?" Asked Ino.
"Most likely some sort of ship" Asuma continued.
"and chief means Naruto lead a team of engineers i assume" Continued Shikamaru.
"the aurora has crashed, everyone is dead and i'm the only survivor" Naruto stated.
"that's horrible" Sakura said with a tinge of sadness in her voice.
"it's not uncommon for ships to crash and only have one survivor" Replied Asuma. "when I was a but a kid there was an accident in which a ship heading from the land of waves to the land of fire had been caught in a storm and only one man survived"
Everyone just sat silently listening to his story before resuming watching.
"I know someone is alive here with me on this planet. the Aurora isn't one of the biggest ships created for no reason." Naruto began. "My lifepod isn't really in good shape right now. so I'll have to repair it soon, I am currently On the planet 4546B in the 4546 system located in the outer reaches of the Ariadne Arm"
" i do not know half of the words they said" Naruto said expecting comments about his stupidity. Imagine his surprise when everyone agreed with him.
"I will record a second log about one week from now. God help me live on this planet"
"he says as if he's on another planet completely" Sakura said
"this is an alternate reality Sakura. maybe he is" Kakashi replied silencing Sakura.
Naruto then shut off the camera. after a few seconds of blackness. the camera turned back on. "It has been one week since the Aurora crashed. this planet..." Naruto wandered off. the room he was in looked much better than before, as visible by the devices that were previously destroyed having been repaired"it's... not bad actually, if you steer away from the leviathans and countless man eating predators that live here. Seriously, why do a lot of the lifeforms here have a liking to human flesh? in the last two days of exploring alone I have been attacked by a shark-like lifeform and a crocodile looking piece of shit."
*audible snickers*
"I have been stuck here for god knows how long on this wet rock in the middle of fucking no where!" Naruto's breathing got laboured and he dry swallowed. "I have come across a huge unidentified structure on one the islands near me, I explored it." Naruto continued. "I have to the conclusion that this place is... off. To say the least, I keep finding these vents that these fish keep coming out of" Naruto stated as he brought out a fish that was in a container. the fish had big yellow eye on either of it's sides, a small beak and green body. "they leave behind a yellow trail whenever they swim, this could be just fish being fish, but i doubt it since only these ones have a trail behind them *cough* sorry, my mask was cracked in my last exploration trip and i accidently swallowed water while diving,Uzumaki Naruto. out"
"the plot thickens" Kakashi joked.
"this is recording number three" Naruto started the third recording, looking extremely happy. "I can't wait till sunbeam gets here so I can go home, course I have to deal with alterra's bullshit about why I didn't rescue the cargo, but they can go shove it up their arse for all I care" Naruto said as he contemplated something before falling into a coughing fit. "God, I really think i caught a cold down here" Naruto said beofre falling into a deeper coughing fit. "Atleast I know where I'm heading the second i get home, Uzumaki Naruto. out"
"something feels wrong about him" Kurenai said. "and why is that Kurenai-sensei?" Asked HInata. "while colds do cause coughing, it is not to this degree for the coughs to be this bad."
"who knows. most likely different world stuff" Kakashi answered. "Maybe, we'll see"
they turned their heads to the screen to see more.
"this is recording number four" Naruto said, looking extremely down. "the sunbeam was destroyed by that building that I found on one of the islands" Naruto said as he put his hand on his head. "I heard everything" He began "their screams, their cries for help, the praying, the destruction" He continued.
"kid's losing his sanity" Said Ibiki , anouncing his presence. "didn't see you there Morino-san" Hiruzen stated. "Just came by to deliver some documents, though don't mind if i stay a bit, this is really interesting"
"be my guest" Hiruzen replied.
"I had girlfriend and a wedding coming up with the girl I love" Naruto said
"Yes! he married Sakura-cha-"
"BUT THAT BITCH SAKURA JUST HAD TO ASSIGN ME THIS JOB"
"forget what i said"
"HOW DARE HE CALL ME A BITCH!"
"I was on my three months off for my wedding!" Naruto shouted "but she just had to ruin everything by wanting to built a phase gate!" Naruto continued shouting "she said that none of the other engineers were available" Naruto said lowering his head and holding it in his arms. "when I told her i couldn't come to help, guess what she did. come on guess!" Naruto ranted " she threatened to fire me!"
"the me in that world must be real bitch to order somebody off their three months for their wedding" Sakura stated. "I hope I never become like her"
"and then, while i was scavenging the other life pods" Naruto began. "I find the life pod of one of the VIP's on our ship, Ino Yamanaka"
"me? what do I have to do with that?"
"Ino, stop screaming so that we can find out" Retorted Shikamru
"turns out, That woman was only a VIP because she was a close friend of Sakura and needed a lift to one of the planets on our route" Naruto continued. "but here's the real kicker" Naruto then pulled a tablet from under the table. the tablet was a blue transparent screen with only the handle looking to hold technological parts. Naruto tapped a few times on the screen and Ino's voice sounded out.
"so you assigned that guy ,Naruto, this job for the express reason of getting back at him for leaving you in for another girl?"
"That asshole left me when we were 6 months into our relationship saying that I was 'too unstable' and 'he doesn't want a wife who sleeps with other men while he is away' " Sakura's voice sounded out.
"but you cheated on him with sasuke while he was away?"
"I did that because he didn't love me!"
"fine, fine. can you get me to that flight or not?"
"yes, anything for a dear friend"
" she was in a relationship with Naruto-baka? other me has no taste at all. atleast she realizedit and left with Sasuke-kun" Sakura said, recieving a bonk on the head from Ino of all people. "don't say that outloud you idiot! think of What Naruto would feel! I might not love the guy, or like him for that matter, but I atleast have the decency to not say that while everyone's here!" Ino whispered and almost shouted at Sakura.
"quarrels later. keep watching" Hiruzen said bringing everyone out of their. 'what kind of Kunoichi would say that about her teammate?'
"all of this, all of this" Naruto said as he threw the tablet away. "was because that bitch couldn't move on from a break- up that was more than 5 years ago"
"When I leave this fucking planet, I'll find her*cough*. and give her her best friend's rotting head as payback for making me miss my wedding. and I swear, at my honor as bearer of the Uzumaki name, that I will fucking skin her alive."
"okay" Asuma stated slowly. "he's lost it" he got a jab from Kurenai to his side.
"This is Uzumaki Naruto *cough* ou-" Naruto fell over into another coughing fit. "out" Naruto said turning off the camera.
"and he's sick" Kakashi stated. "damn guy can't catch a break"
"this is *cough* log Number five" Naruto said. looking more sickly than ever, he was now in a large white room that was filled with desks and large equipment "I'm sick" he stated in a labored breath. "And the scanner tells me that it does not recognize the sickness" He continued. "Which means this sickness is something new and unkown, just the greatest thing to add to my ever-so-expanding list of problems"
"green postules are growing on my body, I feel weak, and I can barely breath properly, I constructed a base here in what I call the'safe shallows'" Naruto began "the area is-" Naruto stopeed as he fell into another coughing fit, this one was stronger than the others. he continued "The area has no predators living in it, the only thing that proves to be dangerous in this place is a terrorist fish that blows itself up anytime I get close to its nest and a large gas mask wearing fish that shits toxic gas"
"the future is looking bad for other me" Naruto said.
"agreed" Kiba said.
"I hope he lives" HInata said.
"me too" Naruto replied.
"I have gathered enough materials to make a cyclops, in a last ditch effort, I will take it to the deepest part of the area I am in" Naruto stated. "the scanner said that this was where all of the vents in the area lead to. and, just hope to god, that there is a cure there for me"
"Uzumaki Naruto, out"
the screen went black and then... silence.
"come on! what happens next!" Naruto shouted.
" I say he survived" Kakashi said
"Uzumaki Naruto was then found in a burned cyclops outside the cave where the cure was released, dead."
"spoke too soon"
"our only conclusion is that, in his excitement, Uzumaki had activated his cyclops at max speed and attracted the nearby dragon leviathan which, in turn, attacked his cyclops and burned it" the man who anounced the news said. the man looked to be in his late 30's to early 40's and it was Kakashi Hatake.
"as we are speaking, Haruno Sakura is being trialed for corporate corruption and bribery"
"it was a tragic loss, Uzumaki was a young man three months away from marriage and a genius in the field of engineering. who was robbed prematurely of his life by a psychotic EX-girlfriend and corruption. a moment of silence for this loss" the men at the funeral took off their hats and held them to their chests. the people in the funeral included, Inuzaka KIba, Aburame Shino, Nara Shikamaru, tamaki(KIba's girlfriend), A woman no one recognized and HInata who was crying and being comforted by everyone around her
"I think we found out who the girl Naruto was going to get married to was" Kakashi joked. "KAKASHI!" Kurenai shouted. "you shouldn't be joking about that when you just saw a man die!"
"I'm just saying"
"let's take a break for now" HIruzen stated as everyone went out of the room discussing everything they just witnessed.
