Chapter 1: Preview
-—-6:59 AM-—-—-
A familiar aroma drifts through the hallways of the five floored house. In the kitchen, its origin bubbles in a pot, as a man wearing a frilly pink apron grabs a wooden spoon for a taste. Sipping on the boiling liquid, he moans, a smile settling creepily on his face. The flames from the stove flicker with each passing second, illuminating his spiky ash blonde hair. His red eyes dart from the pot to the misshapen clock hanging on the wall. He scowls from the words 'Love from Todoroki' that is etched onto the dried clay and glances at the clock's hands. His smile widens further before parting his lips.
-—-7:00 AM-—-—
"WAKE THE HELL UP!"
The lights around the house switch on in panic. Thumps, groans and screams echo on each floor as the sound of feet hurriedly scatter toward the bathrooms.
A man dressed in silk grey pyjamas gracefully walks out of the ensuite bathroom on the ground floor, a toddler, no older than four years old, nestled in his arms. "Morning honey" he yawns entering the dining room, his red and white hair poking out in every direction. He watches the spiky ash blonde haired man carefully carrying a boiling pot onto an already set rectangular dining room table, before running back into the kitchen. "Katsuki?" He asks watching his partner engrossed in making multiple perfectly packed lunches.
Smiling, he begins to pull out his chair when a boy, no older than eighteen, walks passed him with headphones around his neck. The boy's straight white hair glistens in the morning light as he takes a seat directly opposite the red- and white-haired man. His grey eyes dart around the table, landing on the big pot. Grabbing the ladle, that was neatly placed beside the pot, he begins to dish out for himself. "Morning Dad" he says after glancing at the white and red-haired man. "Morning Mum," he says to the spiky haired man that walks out of the kitchen.
"Morning Sei" both parents say at the same time.
Sei freezes at their response, in particular, his mother's. It's good to be greeted lovingly by your parents in the morning but his mother's response was different than usual- and scary.
Sei's eyes darts to his dad who shook his head frantically, sending a silent warning to their eldest son. Sei sighs before going back to eating his breakfast. He knew it was coming, but not this soon.
A minute of silence went by until two bickering children could be heard. The stomping got louder with every step they took. Sei grabs the headphones around his neck and places them on his ears before going back to eating his breakfast. Their father smiles before grabbing the toddler's baby bottle from the table and gently placing it into their youngest's hand.
Three boys, no older than fifteen, bombard the kitchen. All three, being triplets, have similar features. One of the triplets take after their mother whilst the other two take after their father.
Two triplets bicker as they enter, the third silently following the two with a huge smile on his face. Their mother stands waiting as the children enter the dining room. As soon as their eyes land on the man they freeze. In silence, they rush to their seats.
All three immediately begin eating, gobbling up their food. Sei watches in disgust as the two, that were originally bickering, messily shove the food into their mouths. They would both glance at each other every five seconds, as if competing.
"Shiki, Akito, not at the table," Sei grumbles.
Both boys, now grinning with hamster filled cheeks, turn their heads to face their eldest brother.
"What, we can't eat now?" Asks Akito, who was the spitting image of their father, but with red eyes. His red and white hair sways as he turns to his father. "Father, can we not eat?"
"Not like that" Sei chimes in, before their father could answer. "It's disgusting!"
"I agree" the other boy states, who was the spitting image of his mother, "It's disgusting."
"Shiki, you're as bad as Akito," Sei grumbles.
"That's enough," their father smiles at them. Leaning over the table, he combs his hand through Shiki's hair.
Shiki's short, spiky, ash blonde hair, ruffles under his father's hand. He starts to pick up the small pieces of food that could be seen falling onto his shoulder's.
"You're making a mess of your uniform," their father states.
Akito sneers, leaning back in his chair, "Your uniform is lame anyway; it looks better with all the filth."
Shiki jumps out of his seat, "The UA uniform is the best uniform ever! Look at this awesomeness!" He grins, whilst making multiple poses.
Akito cackles in response.
At this point, Sei decides to ignore the endless bickering from his two younger brothers. He watches as they compare their newly bought uniforms, whilst the middle triplet, Kon, sits silently showing no indication that he would join in or interfere. Despite being triplets, they are so different. Groaning internally, Sei grabs the TV remote that was conveniently placed beside him.
Anything would be better than this, he sighs.
The sudden loud sound of the tv switching on surprises everyone, forcing them to face the tv screen. Before the two brothers could complain- the news anchor spoke.
~~~'A third student has been reported missing! The first-year UA student was last seen yesterday walking out of the main school building, believed to be heading home at 4:32PM. This is the third disappearance in three weeks, and families of UA students are becoming increasingly worried. Many students have not been attending classes out of fear that they would be next. Many families are questioning what the heroes are doing, or whether they are doing anything at all. Many speculate it is the work of a new villain, but nothing has yet to be confirmed. Tune in at 7PM tonight when we interview our Number 1 Hero about the investigation and about the new rules that will soon be implemented to protect our families.'~~~
"Oh my gosh mom! You have an interview today?! That's so cool, can we-"
Katsuki slams the remote onto the table, silencing Shiki. Everyone glances at each other, questioning who would dare make the first move. It was when the temperature around them began rising that Sei knew it was time. Jolting up from his seat, he runs into the kitchen grabbing his packed lunch before running out of the front door. "Love you mum!" he yells.
Akito and Shiki gulp.
"STOP MESSING AROUND, GRAB YOUR LUNCH BOXES AND GO! IF I FIND OUT THAT YOU ARE LATE FOR YOUR CLASSES YOU WILL BE IN BIG TROUBLE!"
They both fumble to grab everything they need before running out of the house. Already being prepared, Kon calmly grabs his packed lunch and leaves.
Their father smiles once more, watching the dramatic yet common antics of his family. "Are you ready for your interview?" He turns to ask Katsuki, after the children had left. Katsuki returns to the kitchen in silence. Grabbing a new pot, he places it on the stove.
After what seems like a minute, Katsuki asks "Shoto?"
"Yes honey?" Shoto smiles back.
"Aren't you supposed to be in a meeting in ten minutes?" Katsuki's red eyes turn dark.
"Oh" Shoto replies, before running upstairs, his smile not leaving his face.
Katsuki listens to his partner's retreating footsteps. Sighing, he glances at the tv screen for a couple minutes, before switching the stove on.
