Chapter 5: Hide and Seek?

All Luffy wanted was to capture the bird and eat it, yet the bird caught him first. And now his flying off to the sky trying his best to get out of the birds beak. "Hey let go!" He tried, but it didn't loosen for a bit. But who is he if he doesn't stop?

And so, Luffy continued.

Unknown how much time had passed, a sound of explosion was heard from afar and a whistling sound came after.

*BOOM!*

The unknown projectile hit the bird resulting a painful screech letting Luffy go from its beak. Naturally, as gravity and science could explain 'Whatever goes up, will come down', Luffy wasn't an exception to this rule, falling from high above the ground he could only do one thing...

"AHHHH!"

Scream.

*Boogsh*

"Yah!"

Sounds of concrete breaking into pieces, debris flying from impact and a heavy faced plant that made a small crater on the stone pathway, an ordinary person would have broken bones or worst wouldn't live to tell the tale, but when was Luffy ordinary? "Whats up with that cannon!?" He grumbled and stood up from the ground that has now turned into a crater. He place his beloved strawhat back to his head, dusting away the small particles of dirt while his at it.

"Ah.. are you okay?" A female voice interrupted his grumbling. He turned his head to look at the owner of the voice with a scowl and proceeded to point his finger at her. "Were you the one who shoot me!?"

"I'M NOT!" The female immediately denied. "Besides, do I look like I have a cannon with me?" She reasoned, Luffy look around to find the said cannon, having found none, he looks at her and- "Oh, I see. Sorry" He says casually, his apology didn't sound sincere one bit. The woman's lips twitch but didn't comment.

"You live here?" He ask as he look around the quiet and peaceful village. "This place sure is quiet.. HOII! ANYONE THERE!" He shouted from the top of his lungs, his voice echoed through the empty streets yet no one answered.

"Hey, I don't think that's a good idea." The woman says wanting to dissuade Luffy from shouting.

Ignoring her words, Luffy ask. "Are they asleep?" Luffy wondered looking at the red haired woman for answers. Seeing she's the only one here.

She shrugged but never the less replied. "No, they're not. I'm guessing they're in the south."

"Eh? Why?"

"Maybe their... Hiding?" She says unsure tilting her head to the side as she look at Luffy. "Oh! They're playing hide and seek! Then you must be the seeker!" Luffy feels proud on getting this one right. Look at that, he does have a brain!

"No! I just got here." The red hair denied once again. "Same as you. Just on the boat, not like you falling down from... Ah... Who knows where." She continues as she mumbled the last part.

"Your not a villager?"

"Nope."

"Ah. So who's seeking then?" That was a mystery to Luffy. And in fact the most important bit of all.

"... That.. I don't know." Of all the craziness that Monkey D. Luffy could get and how slow he is in processing somethings, the woman was very patient in his regard. "Though, I really don't think their playing hide and seek." She added softly. With a developing town such as Orange town, how could they have the leisure time to play hide and seek with all the townspeople?

"Ehhh" and then he started to walk off letting his feet take him anywhere. The red haired woman followed him. "Where are you going?" She ask.

"I'm hungry, do you have meat?" There was a visible twitch of a brow and the woman couldn't help but comment. "Your really taking this easy." But looking at Luffy's questioning face with a visible question mark on his head she couldn't help but sigh at her luck. "No, don't have any." She eventually says.

Luffy look at her disappointed, the prospect of not being able to eat meat made him depressed. Though his depression didn't last long when he looks at the houses and an idea flash through his mind causing him to grin stupidly.

"Right! Sorry to intrude!" And with that he went inside one of the houses.

The red haired woman who watch him do so, was too late to react as Luffy had already gone inside. ".. hey! Wait! Its not good to go inside persons house without permission! Stealing is bad!" She nervously said the sense of anxiety was plastered on her face but then seconds of hearing no answer her face scrunch up and she frustratingly scratch her head finally deciding to follow Luffy inside.

"I'm really sorry to intrude." She whispered softly, her heart beating widely.

DANG DA RA DANG! WAHLAHHH! BOOM!

A new character have emerged that wasn't from the past/future~ woohooo~

Who is she? Why is she in Orange town? Well, theres nothing complicated about her origin. Just some travelling, loving person that goes where the wind blows~
