Chapter 8: Follow the Flow!

Even though Mireille agreed to joined in an impulse, she had great adaptability and was a lover of the "Go with the flow~" quotation. And so when Luffy says to find the map of the Grand Line, Mireille got out from her trance and cheered in response readily agreeing with him.

Setting off to who knows where in town, letting their feet take them to wherever it may go. Heck, they don't even know where the map is.

So, two idiots walked in town searching for the map very openly, with no fear whatsoever.

That happened a few minutes ago….

And now, they were at the top of a pub, surrounded by a bunch of pirates with a leader who has a very distinctive red nose sitting at the very center.

How they got here... well... Lets just they were lead by some lackeys under the words 'We have the map of the Grand Line!'

"Oh, whats this?" The red nose says in a low voice, a hint of interest coming from his tone. He was intimidating to look at and equal parts scary and funny.

'Pick one stupid red nose!' Mireille thought.

"Do you have the map of the Grand Line?" Luffy straight forwardly ask without missing a beat. Mireille instantly look at Luffy like he was some sort of idiot.

Shouldn't he be starting with a hello? A nice to meet you? Isn't that the basic decency of a human being?

And then.."The Grand Line? OF COURSE WE HAVE! HAHAHHAHA" And now it was Mireilles turn to look at the red nose like he was the biggest idiot.

"Oh! Then give it to me!" They were both idiots!

"SURE! MEN! GET THE MAP!" The red nose ordered.

"That easy?" Mireille muttered finding it weird and stupid.

Was the weird looking clown that nice despite his appearance that could even make a child wet their pants?

"AS IF!" As if a switch had been turned on, red nose face contorted into anger and arrogance. Like an overbearing pirate. Acting like the clown he is. "You! DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHO I AM?!"

Ahhh.. she thought too soon.

Putting his pinky into his nose, Luffy answered without missing a beat. "Nope." And flick the booger out of his finger.

The surrounding pirates jaw drop and red nose was speechless at the blatant answer.

"His Buggy the Clown, Wanted for 15, 000, 000 beri." Mireille voice out looking at the book of bounty posters in her hand. Neatly organized, stack one by one with lots of care.

"Eh? Ohhhhh" Luffy leaned in to see the bounty and whistled enviously. "How nice~ In the future I'm gonna get one too!" Luffy confidently says eyes sparkling in anticipation and excitement of what the future holds.

Mireille look at him eyes blinking. "So you're a pirate?" She ask. Those who got bounty posters were criminals wanted by the world government. Though there were different kinds of criminals, piracy was really famous at this current era.

"Yup! Im the man who will become the pirate king!" He confidently answered, smiling so brightly like what he said was not full of swords and danger.

The background pirates can be excuse for no- "DONT FORGET US!"

Ahh.. nevermind.

"BWAHAHAHHAHH!"

"Pirate king he says!"

"Kid can sure dream!"

"BWAHAHAHHAHAHA!"

"PIRATE KING!? GYAHAHAHHAHAHAHA! Stop joking around! With a lanky half-assed teenager like you, you can't even enter the Grand Line just by that! HAHAHAHHA I, Buggy-sama, am more capable and-"

"So I joined a pirate crew then." Mireille ignored the crazy background noises and just continued on with the current topic between her and Luffy.

This was really important. This pertains to the life she'll be living in the future.

Who cares about them right now.

"Yup!" Luffy answered simply.

"Ehhh~"

There were a lot of people who told her to stay far away from idiot people because everything that she ever learns be it her knowledge and common sense would be gone in the blink of an eye.

She highly doubts that it will be gone. But she sure do agree that she gets easily leads on.

Oh damn that is not good to have.

"HEY! LISTEN WHEN OTHERS ARE SPEAKING YOU FLASHY MORONS!" Couldn't stand the constant ignorance any longer, Buggy shouted, eyes glaring at them angrily.

"What are you shouting for, Red nose?" No level of honesty of feelings and thoughts can compare to Luffy. When it comes to make people marvel and speechless, Luffy has the ultimate power to make them do so.

Silence followed at the Buggy pirate crew.

"He called captain.."

"No way.."

"Red... Red..."

"Ekkk!"

Mireille could faintly see smoke coming out from Buggys nose, most likely fuming in anger.. then.. "DIE A FLASHY DEATHS YOU FUCKING IDIOT!"

"Uh oh.." That was Mireilles last words as explosions went all out from the place.

The good thing is, they got away from Buggys base after making a mess. How they got out.. well, there's this thing called adrenaline and everything goes into blur.

The bad thing is, they never got the map of the Grand Line.. so they might have to go back.

"Man! That cannon was awesome!" Luffy says in amazement. Aside from Buggys interesting face, Mireille had to hand it to him that his cannon ball invention was quite something. Minus the fact that he destroyed many houses, she'll give it a 7 out of 10.

"Don't you have a cannon on your ship?" Mireille ask as they walked on the empty road with no destination in mind. Maybe somewhere they can plan things out more, like how to sneak into Buggys base and steal the map. Wherever the map maybe.

Or how to kick that clowns nose and see to it if it makes a squeaky sound.

Oh.. that seems kind of nice.

In any case, Mireille was just asking nonchalantly not really bothered if they don't have a cannon or not. They can always steal one from Buggys. He has a pretty good one too. Surely, he must have another.

"Nope! We're still finding a ship!" Luffy proud answer made Mireille stop walking and look at him with a blank face. Luffy also stop and look back at her. But it didn't take too long when his eyes traveled to the pet store up front and a dog sitting in front of the shop.

"A DOG!" And Luffy ran to it, excited. He started making weird gestures, laughing at it, talking to it but the dog had no visible reaction. Finally he decided patting it, but was meet with a bite and an angry growl.

"HEY! LET GO YOU STUPID DOG!" Luffy wiggled his arm trying to get him off him.

Mireille slowly walk towards them, maintaining a proper distance between them and gulped. "Oh.. that kind of hurts." As Luffy begun to severely yell and wiggle his arm even faster.

She's not stupid to get any closer.. Hey! People have fear! She doesn't like to bitten too!

"Phew! He finally let go! Stupid dog!" Luffy insulted while sticking out his tongue out to the dog. He then proceeded to blow his hand that had turned red because of the bite.

"Here, let me see that." Mireille finally let herself come near seeing that the 'fight' had ended and took hold of Luffys hand.

"You should be more careful dealing with animals." Mireille reminded checking up his hand if those bites have damage and injured himself.

"Its not my fault!" Luffy defended himself and glared at the dog again.

"Mmhmm." Mireille didn't bother arguing with him and just continued to check his hand. There was a bite mark, but there was not sign of bleeding nor the ripping of skin.

Mireille secretly glance at the dog with a meaningful gaze and then back to Luffys hand. A small bottle containing blue liquid appeared in Mireilles hand. She poured a small drop on Luffys hand and spread it all over his hand.

"This should help elevate the sting." She says and finally let go. "Don't trouble the dog any further." She added. Such a cute and small dog shouldn't be treated badly and should be left alone if thats what he wants.

As if he didn't hear Mireilles words, he started provoking the dog again. "See that?!" And so..

"STOP IT ALREADY!"

*BOGSH!*

The very first punch came into contact on Luffys head.

Thats that!

Mireille goes with the flow. Wherever the flow leads, she follows. We'll slowly get to know her more as time goes on.
