On July 11th, it was a nice day as a reporter was reporting outside when Alem tuber sped by. Wing Angry Luigi flew around.
"It seems the cosmic buddies are up to something." The reporter says.
The Cosmic buddies arrived to see Mr. and Mrs. Clusterfield at some big mall, holding dangerous stuff.
Lilth sees the news. "I hope someone dies." She says.
"Who are the cosmic buddies?" Aria asked.
"Some hero wannabes." Lilith says.
"Okay, Mr. and Mrs. Clusterfield, you know the drill." Chrissy says.
"Enough talk, let's do this!" Alem tuber says. They stretch their arms as Alem tuber grabbed them, wrapped them up, and swung them around, smacking them into each other.
Next, the cosmic buddies could be seen invading Big Owl's base. Big Owl shot feathers as Delta sped around them and kicked him.
Soon, Angry Luigi arrived with Emma and Bill. Angry Luigi leaped and hammered Anti-Hybrid who blocked and kicked Angry Luigi as Emma spat magic acid donuts.
Anti-Hybrid fell on the ground.
"What's your major endgame?" Chrissy asked.
"It's not me, but just know your doom is coming." Anti-Hybrid says as the Cosmic buddies look confused.
"You want to save the world? Prove it." Anti-Hybrid says.
"Okay, we'll save the world." Delta says.
"And kick butt!" Bill says.
The Cosmic Buddies set off as Angry Luigi, Emma, Emila, Bill, and Jason were in the Mushroom Kingdom as they collected powerups.
Meanwhile, Alya was combing her hair as she heard Lucas training. "Hey, wanna go see Aria?" she asked as Lucas sighed as he flew her over.
In San Antonio, Aria was rehearsing with Jackson. They were sure to steal the show in Tennessee with the performance they had planned.
Lucas dropped Joe and Alya off.
"We honestly need a friend group." Alya says.
"I'm surprised I'm not swarmed by ladies…" Lucas says as Joe thinks. "But we've got each other, at least."
"Nice job, Aria." Tori says.
"Thanks." Aria says to Tori.
"They want us for another interview." Jackson says to Aria. Aria smiled at this. She had been happier over the past few days.
"I enjoy violence." Edwin says randomly.
Aria and Jackson were soon being interviewed by Gemma.
"How are you two doing?" She asked.
"Fine, for the most part." Aria says.
"Good, thanks." Jackson says.
"So, how are you two feeling about your chances this season?" Gemma asked.
"Great!" Aria says.
"We feel more confident than ever. Although I miss that summer home." Jackson says.
"You two have been through quite a lot." Gemma says.
The two of them then talk about their performance at Freedom Fest.
"That must have been fun to do, huh?" Gemma asked.
"Yeah, it actually was." Aria says.
"I think that's my favorite performance to do. Although I know there'll be others." Jackson says.
After the interview, they go to the mall with Chalice, Mugman, Margo, and Luke.
"So, are you two still on the show?" Margo asked Luke and Chalice.
Chalice nods. "We rehearsed today. I think Luke's getting better." She tells Margo.
Margo smiled "Nice!" She says.
"Hey, Edwin, it's been almost 5 years since you and Aria entered that pageant. Where do you wanna go?" Cuphead asked. Edwin looked confused.
"Anniversary." Cuphead says.
"I don't remember entering anything with her." Edwin says. "It's about her and Jackson now."
"Pageant, remember?" Cuphead says.
"I'm not interested." Edwin says.
"Today is the day my little girl becomes a part of the pageant generation." Luke says.
"Da-da!" Aria giggles. "Da-da!"
"Edwin, you'll win, right?" Cuphead asked. Edwin blinked and babbled.
Luke had gotten Aria a costume for the pageant. Aria giggles.
"Ma-ma! Da-da!" Aria babbles.
"Yes, sweetie!" Chalice says.
Aria giggles and tries to drink with Chalice's straw.
Later, they begin to head in. Aria babbles.
"Good luck, you adorable babies!" Leni says.
Aria laughs. Edwin looks confused by all this.
"You're going to be in a male pageant." Cuphead says.
Lucy looked unsure. "I don't think Edwin is a pageant person, he's only a month old." Lucy says, picking up her son. Edwin claps and giggles.
"I entered pageants at that age." Cuphead says.
"Which I won more of." Mugman says.
"Well, Edwin will win." Cuphead says, taking Edwin.
Soon, it was about to begin. Aria laughs as it was time for introductions. Luke carries her as they come on stage.
"This is contestant #1, Aria Huntington. She is a month old and has blue eyes and golden blonde hair. Her favorite toy is her vanilla-scented polar bear. She likes music, her parents' singing, her toys, her family, playing, dressing up, and just looking cute. She is indeed a daddy's girl!" The host says.
Aria giggles and waves. Fans cheered for her.
Cuphead then carries Edwin on stage as Lucy watches.
"Hey, everyone, this is contestant number 1 for the male division, Edwin Huntington. He's a month old and has brown eyes and black hair. His favorite toy is his Dirk Dangerous plush toy. He likes story time, exploring, playing, when his dad reads books to him, his mother's poetry, his family, and just being a boy. He loves both of his parents!" The host says.
Edwin babbles and smiles.
Lucy was nervous about all this. She was worried Edwin wouldn't like it.
Edwin laughs and claps his hands.
Lucy goes to Edwin. "Edwin, do you want this?" Lucy asked.
Edwin giggles and reaches for Lucy. Lucy holds him.
The next round was all about spring fashion. Luke smiled and helped Chalice dress Aria. Aria babbles as Luke smiles.
"Awww, you look adorable!" Luke says.
Chalice was shedding tears of joy. "She's just beautiful…." She says.
Luke brought her on stage as fans loved her. Aria babbles and giggles.
Cuphead dressed Edwin in a springtime outfit before carrying him on stage.
The crowd really liked Edwin as Cuphead held him. Edwin just looked confused again.
The next round was a costume round. Luke and Chalice dress Aria in her angel costume.
Aria babbled, looking at Edwin. Cuphead is dressing him as a baby Dirk Dangerous. Mugman had to smile at that.
"Awww, Aria is so cute!" Leni says as Lucy was thinking. Did Edwin really want to be a pageant star?
Luke carried Aria on stage first. Fans awwed and admired Aria.
"So cute!" Lori says. Aria giggles.
Edwin went on in the male pageant as he babbled.
Lucy was walking around, sweating. Edwin was shy; she knew that. If he was anything like her, there is a chance that he won't be able to handle too much attention.
"He's adorable!" A fan says.
Later, Cuphead noticed Edwin was missing, unaware Lucy was taking Edwin home.
"You're not ready for pageants, I'm not sure what your father was thinking." Lucy says.
But Charity grabs Edwin from Lucy and looks at her.
"He was ready. But you're using your overprotective attitude on your son. Why couldn't you just let him try?" Charity asked. "He seems to enjoy it."
Lucy was shaking. "Fine." Lucy says.
"Most kids don't turn out to be like their parents." Charity says. "Maybe Edwin will enjoy things like this, maybe he won't. You know he's like a piece of clay. He just has to be molded into something he wants to be, not what you make him out to be. Luke was like that for a long time until he was molded into the guy you see today."
Soon, it was the final round. The formal attire round.
Luke put Aria in her new formal dress and shoes. And he even put some bows in her hair as Chalice was in awe of her daughter.
"You gotta turn on the charm, Aria!" Chalice says as she sings the song to her.
Aria giggled and clapped her hands. She loves her mother's singing.
Luke took her on stage a few minutes later. Aria truly "turned on the charm".
The judges really loved it.
Cuphead then took Edwin on stage as he was in a little scarlet red tuxedo and black baby shoes. He babbles.
Fans cheered seeing him.
Soon, they tallied the points and Edwin and Aria won their pageants by a landslide.
Chalice squealed and Luke held Aria, smiling at her.
"Mommy and Daddy are so proud of you, Aria." Luke says. "You are amazing!"
Aria giggles. "Da-da!" She babbled.
Cuphead was holding Edwin as he smiled.
"We're so proud!" Cuphead says. Edwin babbles.
"See?" Cuphead says.
"That never happened." Edwin lied.
"It did." Cuphead says.
"Really?" Aria asked. He nods.
"Tomorrow is the anniversary." Cuphead says.
"I am not interested." Edwin says, annoyed.
"I am." Aria says.
"Son, you're making me look bad." Cuphead says. Edwin sighed in annoyance.
"Sigh. Fine. But next year, I won't do it. Got that?" Edwin tells Cuphead.
