Daybreak
The ragged breathing in her ear along with the continuous shifting and rustle of the sheets, pulls Yoshiko out of her light sleep, before she feels a light weight resting on her shoulder and a hand taking hers timidly.
- You can't sleep?
Yoshiko asks quietly in the middle of the suffocating night while opening her eyes slowly, feeling her girlfriend exhaling heavily as she shakes her head against her shoulder.
- No. It's too hot.
Riko complains while getting closer to her girlfriend, and even though the night is too suffocating as to have their sweaty bodies that close, the comfort that Yoshiko always gives her makes it somehow more bearable.
A soft sigh escapes the younger girl's lips as she kisses Riko's burgundy hair affectionately, before an idea pops in her mind, a grin spreading now across her lips upon the excellence of it.
- Come with me.
It's all Yoshiko says as she leaps out of bed and pulls a confused Riko with her, stumbling through the darkness of their apartment until they reach the entrance and put their shoes on.
Riko barely has the time to open her mouth and ask anything, when she feels Yoshiko pulling her by the hand once again.
Soon enough, all her questions die on her tongue as she observes her girlfriend getting out their apartment to take her motorbike with her, giving her a bright smile that could illuminate the darkest night, before holding one of her hands out for her.
Riko doesn't hesitate to return Yoshiko's smile with one on her own as she gladly and tightly grasps her hand and gets on the motorbike behind her. The blue haired girl then begins to walk with the motorbike a couple of meters, before its engine comes alive and with it, the start of their adventure.
A shriek escapes her lips, before Riko finally rests against Yoshiko's back, wrapping her arms tightly around her girlfriend's waist as the motorbike roars loudly and they speed up through the roads, the wind lashing at them welcomingly in such a suffocating night.
Riko, far from being scared at this, can only giggle enjoying such a rush, her giggles mixing with the roaring of the motorbike and the blowing wind filling the quiet night as she tightens her hold around her girlfriend's body.
- Where are we going!?
Riko raises her voice so Yoshiko can hear her, seeing a grin on the younger girl's lips that only makes her heart beat even faster than it already does.
- I don't know!
Yoshiko yells back, their giggles filling the dark night as they speed up through an unknown and empty route, the lonely stars adorning the indigo sky above them being witnesses of their little adventure.
Riko soon finds she little cares about their destination as she rests more against the safety of girlfriend's back, feeling the blowing wind lashing at them and swaying her long hair into the air making her forget about the suffocating heat she felt hours ago as they keep speeding up to an uncertain place, the light of the sun peeking out on the horizon.
Just as the sun timidly begins to illuminate their way, Yoshiko leads them to a hidden clearing, stopping the motorbike on a side to then get off it first.
A soft smile plays on her lips as she once again offers one of her hands to her girlfriend, hearing her giggling in return, before Riko rejects it and opens her arms widely, making the blue haired girl being the one giggling now as she takes her sometimes dork girlfriend in her arms to get her off the motorbike.
- Better?
It's all Yoshiko says as Riko's feet finally touch the ground, giggling as the burgundy haired girl wraps her arms around her girlfriend's neck to pull her down into a kiss.
- Much better – Riko says in between giggles, looking lovingly into Yoshiko's deep magenta eyes – Now will you tell me where are we and why did you kidnap me in the middle of the night?
Riko asks playfully, adoring to go even to the end of the world if that means to be with her beloved girlfriend, seeing Yoshiko smiling as she rolls her eyes.
- You couldn't sleep, so I thought some cool air could be nice.
She simply answers taking Riko's hand in hers to begin walking through the clearing with no particular destination in mind for some time until they find a big rock.
The younger girl goes ahead first to hold out her hand to her girlfriend once again, pulling her closer as soon as the burgundy haired girl takes it and climbs said rock to sit on it and watch together the sun getting out to bath with its light the city below them.
- As to where we are…. I literally have no clue.
Yoshiko says with a cheeky grin on her lips, causing Riko to laugh, before the older girl places her head on Yoshiko's shoulder and rests her body against her girlfriend's, feeling her being the one wrapping her arms tightly around her waist to pull her closer and leave a kiss on the space between her ear and neck.
- Thank you.
Riko thanks Yoshiko, turning to kiss her softly, before they go back to watch the daybreak together, the light breeze of the morning blowing and lulling Riko to sleep in the safety of Yoshiko's arms.
Yoshiko can only watch with a fond smile on her lips how her girlfriend is finally able to sleep in her arms, staying like that for a couple of hours, before they have to go back home from their little adventure.
