Chapter 13 - Start of War
The room was dark, the only light that could be seen was the blue lights coming from Daisy's Rotom phone. Her Pokemon were sound asleep, Daisy on the other hand was wide awake.
It's been like this for a few days, staying past her bedtime schedule. If Ratchet could see her now he would be nagging nonstop.
Daisy checks the time, 1:22 am. She wanted to sleep so bad but couldn't—too many thoughts keeping her awake. The trainer kept scrolling through her social media. A notification popped up, it was from an old friend.
'You're up late,' the text said.
'Miss you too, granny.'
'I told you to stop calling me that.'
'Hehe, It's nice to hear from you, Bede. How's being a Gym Leader?'
'So far so good. How's living in Unova? Thinking about coming back to Galar?'
Daisy stared at her phone. Will she go back to Galar? She hasn't found what she wants to do for her future. Maybe for a visit?
'I'm not sure, things have been… crazy lately'
'Oh? I'm guessing you're still struggling with ur career?'
'Kind of, I'm just helping Jon with Gym challenges but it looks like he won't be needing me much'
'That's what happens when u become a Pokemon trainer'
'You're one to talk'
'Hey!'
'Anyway, my break is almost over. u should be going to bed!'
'I will, gn'
'Gn'
Daisy laid down on her sleeping bag, 'Would there even be a career choice for me? With the 'bots around and their war. It doesn't seem like the 'cons want to stay hidden. Plus, It feels like one of those crazy adventures. Two trainers stopping bad guys from destroying the world or a region. I thought I'd quit being a trainer after Jon's Gym Challenge but I guess I'm not willing to give it up just yet.'
The girl turned over to her side, making the drowsiness wash over her.
Bright lights assaulted her eyes when a familiar voice spoke up, "Time to wake up youngling."
Eliza yawned and did a big stretch before nudging her human friend. Daisy protested not wanting to get up. Ratchet saw this action and made his way over to the pair. Just as he's about to grab her, Daisy shot up, "I'm up, I'm up!"
Ratchet carefully looked at the human, "You stayed up late didn't you."
The teen couldn't deny it but didn't feel like speaking up.
"I'll take your silence as a yes," Ratchet sighs, "this is the third time I caught you staying up this late. What time did you go to bed?"
"Around 2," Daisy said sheepishly.
Ratchet frowns, perhaps this new excitement has been keeping her up or she chooses to stay up late.
"Hey, Ratch, don't beat yourself over it. I've been having trouble sleeping for three years, sometimes it takes 2-3 hours for me to fall asleep."
The CMO stared at her, "I'm making sure you're going to bed early—9 o'clock sharp."
"What? I'm not in school anymore even though my original bedtime was 8 o'clock."
"Then I'll make it 8 o'clock if you keep complaining."
"Yes, Dad," Daisy said as she slightly rolled her eyes.
Ratchet spoke as he was about to leave his quarters, "Training has been cancelled for you today, though you have an hour to get dressed and get breakfast."
"Actually, I don't feel like making breakfast—I'm heading into town."
The medic stopped midway momentarily, "30 minutes."
Arcee relaxed in the rec room enjoying her cup of Energon. Some of the boys were out scouting, doing recon due to recent Decepticon activity. Windblade was doing her own thing, trying to discover more about the lake guardian trio and understanding what that vision was.
The pink Autobot had other things in mind since she was off duty. Arcee had a datapad in her hand which was connected to the internet. Of course, not everything on the internet should be believed but it was one of the best ways to understand this world's culture.
So many ads, yet all colourful. Kind of reminds her of Cybertron before the war happened—it's been so long. Going through different platforms and social media, Arcee could understand that Pokemon isn't just used for battle purposes but for many other things as well: service, therapy, rescue, labour, companionship, and entertainment.
The entertainment side being the most popular among the human population.
"Hey, Cee, whatcha looking at?"
"Oh, hey Blue. I'm entertaining myself; is everything alright? You look down."
Bluestreak sat next to the femme, "a bit. It gets boring around here y'know, being stuck in the Ark all day. I just… miss the other 'bots, I miss Smokescreen, heck, I miss our Earth. Spike, Carly, Daniel, Chip, and the other humans we became friends with. It feels like Deja vu but at the same time, it doesn't feel so foreign. Humans exist on this planet and they have animals that have superpowers! Not only that but we made new friends! But…"
"You can't help but miss them."
"Yeah…"
Arcee sympathised with him, she too felt that way, "Hey, check this out."
Arcee moved the datapad in between them so Bluestreak would have a better view. "Speaking of humans, did you know some of them have special abilities similar to Pokemon?"
"Really?"
"Yeah, most common being telekinesis and rarest being aurora manipulation; although, it won't be as strong as a Pokemon. There are sub-categories where it's said humans can speak to Pokemon and have super strength. "
Bluestreak smiled, "Wouldn't it be cool if our humans had those abilities? Wait, what does it say about the abilities and how can you tell if a human has them?"
Arcee scrolled down to where it talked about capabilities, "Let's see, those who use telekinesis are mostly psychic Gym leaders or trainers who strictly use psychic-type Pokemon. People who use aura are known as Aura Guardians—who are rare to come by. The only known Aura Guardian in today's modern world is Riley; little is known about them."
"I guess they're really hard to come by. You know, I found it cute how this world centres its culture around these creatures. It would explain the low human population."
The two 'bots continue talking about the culture, sometimes comparing it to their Earth and Cybertron. Their chattering soon quieted down when they heard tiny footsteps running in their direction. Daisy and Eliza panted as they reached the rec room, Ratchet coming up behind them.
"I told you not to run," Ratchet stated.
Ignoring the annoyed medic, Daisy drew her attention to the two Autobots, "Which…one of you… is off duty?!"
"We both are," Bluestreak replied.
"Nice, can one of you take us to Driftveil? I haven't made breakfast!"
Chugging her last portion of Energon, Arcee got up from her seat to put away her cup. "Alright, hun, let's get going. You coming Blue?"
"Yup, would be a nice change of scenery."
"Be careful out there," Ratchet insisted.
"Sí, abuelito, we'll be fine!"
"You speak Spanish?" asked Bluestreak as the group walked out of the rec room.
"A little, my mum is from Paldea so she taught me some of it growing up."
"That's cool."
"Hurry up you two or I'll leave you behind," Arcee said.
"Coming!" They both yelled.
"Laserbeak has been sent out," said the TIC as the warlord entered the communication room.
"Good work Soundwave. Now that we know the Autobots' whereabouts, why don't we give them a surprise? They can't hide forever, eventually, this world will know of our existence and it seems they are already on to us. Send our forces to attack the town, we'll draw them out."
Megatron looks at the information on the screen, showing the last whereabouts of the Autobots. If his judgment served him correct, they are not far from the nearby town. The tyrant grinned maliciously, just you wait Prime.
Sand turned into water, water into buildings, Laserbeak flew the long distance. The minicon made sure to say out of sight from unwanted viewers. After a long journey, he made it to Driftveil City.
People and Pokemon were about their daily lives; new trainers came in to battle the Gym Leader early. Laserbeak flew in closer, above the building tops searching for anything noteworthy.
Nothing. No Autobots or their human companions were in sight.
Seconds into minutes, minutes into hours, the spy minicon was ready to leave until he caught something familiar. By a local restaurant, two cars sat in the parking lot: one pink and the other silver. Laserbeak tried getting a little closer, their human and Pokemon companion were in sight.
The scene changes to the group.
Sitting around a table, the two Autobots took out their avatars. Arcee had pink hair with formal attire while Bluestreak—just like Bumblebee—had a female avatar. She has black hair with a honey skin tone, her outfit matching his personality.
Daisy sat right from Arcee, the girl's hair tied up in a messy bun. The waiter already came by with her and her Pokemon's breakfast. It looked as though the trio were having a 'girls' talk'.
"Texting to a boy, late at night, I see?" Arcee teased.
"Bede is an old rival, plus it was daytime for him. He's also a Gym Leader in Ballonlea Stadium."
"Wait, stadium? I thought they were called Gyms." Bluestreak wonders.
"They are, Galar just wanna be the unique one. In Alola, I believe they are called trials."
"So what I'm getting at, you used to be a Gym Challenger?"
"Yeah, I was before I quit."
"What happened?" —Bluestreak backed away from the question when he saw the girl's expression change—"wait, you don't have to tell me."
"No, it's fine. I already talked about it with Jazz but I guess I haven't told him the full story. Six years ago, I (and Bede) was endorsed by a man who goes by Chairman Rose. During my journey, I became rivals with three other trainers. Two of them got endorsed by former Champion Leon! It was a lot of fun, going around city to city and entering the Champion League.
"At some point, Bede got kicked out of the challenges and became Ms Opal's successor. During the finals, I managed to defeat Victor (one Leon endorsed) but… Rose…He…" —memories started flashing up—"he unleashed the Darkest Day…"
Arcee placed a hand on Daisy; the trainer barely held back her tears.
"I- I watched– things were falling on top of people– I couldn't save them. Then Victor and Hop with the help of Zacian and Zamazenta, took down Eternatus. There wasn't much I could do other than get people and Pokemon to safety. I saw most of them die in front of me."
Bluestreak and Arcee faced one another before looking back at Daisy. Using her free hand, Daisy wiped her tears whilst taking a deep breath.
Bluestreak scooted over to the trainer wanting to hug her, "I'm sorry that happened to you, you must've been really scared."
"Haha, I was. After that, I quit, Victor battled Leon and became Galar's new Champion." Daisy finished.
"How are you holding up? Now that you are involved with us."
Daisy exhaled, "I'm scared, to be honest, but I'm also determined. Back then I couldn't do much, I felt I wasn't worthy of being Champion. But after travelling with Jon, and meeting Mew–auh you guys changed my way of thinking."
"Aww, don't worry! I'll make sure to keep you safe, Jon and you're Pokemon!"
"Aww, thanks Bluestreak."
Eliza finished her meal and hopped into Arcee's lap, tapping on the table. "Looks like there's gonna be some competition. Sorry Blue, but you're gonna have to get in line."
Although the conversation ended in a sad mood they managed to bring back smiles. It's hard to stay sad when you're filled with happiness.
Daisy hurried up to finish her breakfast before they headed back to the Ark.
Two older trainers scout the area at the damaged site of Driftveil's power plant. One was taking notes, looking at marks, some didn't seem to be from Pokemon. The other trainer looks around the surrounding area trying to find something pink and shiny. Using a cube, something shiny caught the trainer's eye in one of the trees.
With the help of his Pokemon, he manages to get the shiny pink thing.
"It's 10% now," the trainer said as he looked at the green cube before putting it away. He then recalls his Pokemon and heads towards the other trainer.
"Nate, find anything?"
"A normal fight didn't happen here."
After the events that took place on Monday the city called Nate to investigate.
"I notice some rock, water, and electric-type moves; and some that look like it came from a weapon of some sort."
"A weapon? You don't think it could be Neo Plasma, I kinda doubt it since they are amateur compared to OG Team Plasma. But why would someone use a weapon here—could it be a gun?"
"No, there are no bullet holes around and the substance from the blast isn't something I recognised. According to the reports from the local sheriff's department, the people here said it sounded like an all-out war zone happened."
"Well, there are rumours going around lately. I wonder if it has something to do with all these Zygarde cells showing up in Unova."
"Who knows, we should get going, it smells like it might rain soon. We can talk with Clay about this."
Coming into the city yet nothing out of the ordinary. Nate and the other trainer separated to try and cover more ground. They interview many city folks yet nothing that they already knew. What caught their attention were the rumours of phantom cars, specifically a red and a yellow Lamborghini. That information did not interest them.
Soon after they met with one another at a local cafe.
"Hilbert, got anything?"
"Unfortunately, no."
The two men were about to head to Clay's Gym when Hilbert recognized someone. It was the same person he met going into Ruote 6; the day before the incident.
Hilbert walked up to the group of ladies who were about to leave. "Wait, I wanna ask you something!"
The three of them stop. "What is it?" Arcee asked.
"You! No way… you're Champion Hilbert?!"
"So you finally recognize me." —he smiled—"would it be alright if I asked you some questions?"
"Sure," Daisy said.
"Where were you on Monday?"
"I was with my brother in Clay's Gym, why?"
"Let's just say there was an incident at Driftveil's power plant. Markings that don't match Pokemon and rumours that are going around. I just wanted to know since a few bystanders said they saw three vehicles headed in that direction."
Nate came up from behind Hilbert, he noticed the other ladies shift uncomfortably.
"What rumours per se…?"
Nate chimed in, "It's not just Driftveil City, people have spotted 'giant robots'. Of course, we could've pushed it off as conspiracy theories but after studying the grounds at the power plant I'm not too sure."
Daisy wanted to dig herself in a hole whilst Arcee and Bluestreak were indifferent. They've been through this situation before, the humans will eventually find out who they are and the Decepticons will have an advantage over it—just like last time.
Arcee stepped up, "How did the people describe these 'giant robots'?"
"According to the witness, they said one was black and blue and the other black and purple."
The ladies turned their eyes at each other, they knew exactly who they were talking about. Arcee looked back at the two men. What she's about to say will break the rule Optimus set out for them but if she doesn't take this chance the Decepticons will—humans will mistrust them again.
"Hilbert, was it? What I'm about to tell may break your reality."
"I've dealt with life-changing events, how bad could this be?"
Just then a loud explosion set off. The three humans and two Autobots looked in the direction where it came. To their surprise and the Autobots' horror, it was Starscream followed by drones.
Starscream continues blasting, big chunks of rocks and buildings splattered all over the place. People and Pokemon crying and screaming for each other. The drones spread out into different areas blasting away.
"I'm sorry ladies but we have to save those–"
"No!" Bluestreak and Arcee yelled.
A drone came by and tried to blast the cafe. Hilbert and Nate were ready to fight but the two Autobots transformed and took out the drone.
"What?"
"You three! Get the people and Pokemon out of here, get as many survivors as you can!" Bluestreak command.
Without a second thought Hilbert and Nate release their Pokemon. Helping the people out of the cafe as the two Autobots fight.
"What are they?" a person asked.
"Giant robots, what else?"
"Are they part of Team Plasma?"
"Where do we go?"
Unova's Champion tried coming up with a plan to get his people to safety.
"Daisy, right?"
"You remember?!"
"You knew that they were robots this whole time?!"
"I do! I- ugh, I know where to get these people to safety but they can't all go at once."
Hilbert looks over at Nate, they both nod, "Alright, we'll trust you on this."
"Right."
The alarms went off inside the Ark, Optimus yelled out orders to his troops. Just a while ago, Bluestreak called base saying they needed backup. The Prime cursed under his breath—he knew Megatron wouldn't stay still for long.
"Ironhide, Jazz, Sideswipe, Sunstreaker, Prowl, and Mirage, you'll help Arcee and Bluestreak with backup. Windblade, you're air support. Hound, Trailbreaker, Wheeljack, and Ratchet, you help the humans and Pokemon get here. Preceptor, Red Alert, Blaster, and Jetfire, stay here and guard the Ark. Grimlock, you're with me. Everyone else, roll out!"
Buildings fall, people and Pokemon scream, our heroes do what they can do to get people to safety. Hilbert, Nate, and Daisy do everything in their power to save as many as they can. The battle continues with the Autobots and Decepticons.
"They are what?!"
"Aliens from a different reality!"
"Are they man-made?"
"Hilbert, you just saw them act human! They have emotions, I doubt they are A.I. !" Nate stated
They came to a halt when they found more civilians.
"Please, help us–".
The small crowd of humans watched in horror, some of them crying out. A piece of a building slammed on top of the three civilians only leaving splatters of their remains.
"Oh my gosh," one of the bystanders cried.
"Not again," Daisy mumbled, her eyes widening at the sight as she breathed heavily.
More screaming caught her attention when a tall building behind them started to crumble. Time slowed down as the rubble came crashing down towards them. At the corner of her eye, she saw Hilbert.
"Genesect, use Techno Blast!"
A giant purple bug pops out its Pokeball zooming past everyone. It unleashes a powerful beam breaking the concrete in half. Everyone was stunned until Nate yelled, "Everyone, keep moving!"
Daisy felt her feet stuck, just staring at the rubble.
"Come on, we gotta move!" Hilbert shouted.
"But the people… just like last time."
Hilbert grabs the young trainer by hand and drags her along, "I understand, trust me I do but you can't save everyone."
Jazz said the same thing, everyone keeps telling me the same thing…
She pulls away from the Champion's hand, "Go to Clay's Tunnel, from there you can reach Mistralton cave and meet the rest of the Autobots."
"And what are you gonna do?"
"What I should've done a long time ago."
Hilbert and Nate looked at one another, they gave each other a smile before departing. Nate left with the group as Daisy and Hilbert stayed behind.
Arcee blasted one of the drones in the face sending it flying backwards while Blue shot at another. More flyers showed up, each bombing the city. Starscream looked beneath him, taunting the Autobots as to how pathetic they are, trying to save another planet that isn't their own and replacing the humans they'd befriended.
The sound of jet engines roars across the skies. The two Autobots look up, "Oh no."
Human aircraft soars through the air blasting some of the drones out of the sky. Starscream snarled at their resistance. The SIC raised his blaster and shot the aircraft out of the sky; a grin pops on his face later.
Another jet soared through the air, this time bright red. It took down an incoming drone as it gained more speed and soon it came hurtling towards Starscream.
Windblade transform and tackles the seeker out of the sky.
On the ground, more Autobots came in saving Arcee and Bluestreak. Sideswipe and Sunstreaker race along the roads tripping the drones in front of them. Ironhide blasted his way through them while Prowl, Jazz, and Mirage were on the other side of the city.
Optimus and Grimlock battled their way past the drones. Optimus eventually splits up with the Dinobot in search of his enemy—he was not on the battlefield.
Ratchet and the others drove out of Clay's tunnel. When they got out of the entrance they saw a group of humans and some Pokemon heading their way. One of the humans were using his Pokemon to fight back the oncoming Decepticons but was having a hard time keeping them down.
Wheeljack zooms past everyone and to the lone human. Just before the human gets hit with plasma fire, Wheeljack transforms, grabbing the man and transforming back into his alt mode.
Wheeljack opens his doors allowing the adult to get out of him.
"Thanks for the save," Nate said as his Pokemon flew towards them.
"No problem, whatcha name kid?"
"Nate, and this is my partner Pokemon: Brave." Braviary crow as it introduced itself.
"The two of you are brave indeed, name's Wheeljack."
"Then, are you the alien robots that Daisy speaks about?"
"We are."
"Then please, help us, more people and Pokemon are trapped out there! Hilbert and Daisy are trying to bring as many people as they can find!"
"Do not worry yourself, Nate, we Autobots will help you but we need you to help get these civilians to safety." Wheeljack finished before leaving and headed into the city.
Nate turns around viewing the other Autobots, one of them orders everyone to get inside the cave. Not waiting any longer, Nate began heading towards the city.
"Wait, you can't go back," Hound said.
"I have to. They won't be able to find many people on their own, I need to help them cover more ground."
Admiring his confidence the 'bot transformed, "Get in."
Megatron monitored the battlefield from the Nemesis. The Autobots finally revealed themselves, each and everyone fighting against his forces. The warlord could care less, he just wanted to be 100% sure what his men were saying was true. Astonished that Starscream was telling the truth.
Different angles of the camera played around, viewing different areas of the battlefield. Megatron found it amusing how these humans used their creatures to their advantage yet Prime still wanted to fight for them—to protect them.
That was one thing he never understood about Optimus, even with this version of Earth, why care so much for these filthy organics when they enslave and torture their own kind? Not helping those who need it the most and keeping all the goods for themselves. Selfish beings—that's what they are.
Optimus saw more military jets get shot down, "Blaster, do you copy? Tell them to stop sending their aircraft."
Static.
"Blaster?"
/Pri-ime… com–muni–...cation down…/
Prime began shooting at the drones in the sky but it wasn't enough, more military jets came crashing down to Earth. Optimus spots some people and heads their way. He leaps into the air crushing a drone in the process.
"Thank you."
Optimus nods, "Follow me."
The Autobot leader helped escort the humans out of harm's way close to Clay's tunnel while coming across Hound and Nate.
Nate awe at the Prime before coming back to his senses, "Is this everyone?"
"I'm not sure but communication has been down. I believe this is of Soundwave doing."
Hound responds, "Soundwave is not here, nor is Megatron. Do you think it is his way of exposing us like last time?"
'Last time?' Nate thought.
"But I do know that one of Soundwave's cassettes is here sending off an EMP. If we can find them then we can get our coms back online."
"Sorry to interrupt" —the Autobots looked down on Nate—" what does this 'cassette' look like? Is it that 'bird' that's been flying around?" pointing to the metallic bird hovering in the sky.
Stun, Optimus and Hound crane their necks; Laserbeak flying above the noise.
"By the Allspark, Nate, why haven't you said anything before?" Hound expressed.
"Do not blame him. This is bad, Windblade is occupied with Starscream and we don't have any flyers to help."
"Perhaps we can help, Brave and I can fly up to it and take it down!"
"I trust that you have experience in combat but this is dangerous. They are not something you have faced before."
"You're doing what you can to help people and Pokemon, let us offer you that favour" —Nate hops on Braviary's back as he starts to flap his wings—"My team and I can fight, trust us, we can do this together!"
Optimus can see the determination in his eyes, "Very well, Hound, keep him under watch."
"Yes sir!"
On the other side of the City near Driftveil Gym.
Hilbert and Daisy ran as fast as they could, a few people were injured and needed medical help. They used their Pokemon to help lift up the rubble from a person's legs—it was crushed. The person cried each time they moved.
"This is bad, Princess, use Healing Wish!"
The wounds began to heal but the pain still remained. The two help the person on their feet as best they can.
The sky roared as rain began to pour, soaking everything in its path. Puddles started to form as heavy rain continued.
"This rain is gonna make it impossible to move," Hilbert complained.
The walking was slow but they made it inside the Gym. It was crowded but that was the amount of people and Pokemon they could find, some even had to go underground to clear more space.
"Princess tried what she could but it would take surgery for that to heal properly."
"I understand, thank you so much."
Clay walked over to the two who were dripping wet, "Last time something this bad happened was Team Plasma, now we have extraterrestrial Fallers. Now what? This Gym can't hold that many people, if this Gym goes down so will all of us."
"I know but Daisy is trying to connect with the Autobots."
"Is that what we're calling them?"
"That is what they are" —Hilbert spun around gazing at Daisy messing with her phone—"how's it going?
Daisy looks up at the two adults, "I can't get any signal."
The wind hammered on Nate and Braviary just as the rain made it hard to see. Thankfully, the number of times Braviary flew through weather like this made it easier. Hound drove underneath the duo, carefully making sure nothing gets in their path.
"I see it!" Nate shouted but the wind muffled his voice.
The Valiant Pokemon's feathers ruffled in the wind, going with the flow to catch up to the metal bird.
Laserbeak didn't like this so he began to open fire.
"What do you mean, no signal?" Hilbert said. The champion checked his phone—she was right.
"What now? If you can't contact these 'Autobots' how are we gonna get these people to safety?" Clay said.
Daisy thought for a moment, "one of us will have to go out there."
"Are you crazy? You'll die out there!"
"Eliza and I fought Decepticons before; if we can find a 'bot to help people get to the tunnel then everything should be fine!"
"I'm coming with you." Hilbert stepped up.
Daisy wanted to protest but having the Champion tag along with her will have a higher chance of survival. "Okay, let's go!"
The two trainers ran outside the gym. The air became colder as it continued to storm.
"Where to?"
"Rio, come on out!" The aura Pokemon revealed itself from his Pokeball, Immediately, Rio sensed if there were any Autobot that was nearby. He barked, showing the direction they needed to go in.
They raced along the broken road, evading any and all drones they could. Rio stopped momentarily before going down a different street, where they found the inventor. He was fighting against a herd of drones while protecting civilians from harm.
"Good thing it's raining."
"Yeah."
"Sam, come on out and use Hydro Pump!"
"Eliza, use Chilling Water!"
Both water Pokemon unleashed their moves heavily damaging the drones, however, some managed to dodge the attack and aim at the trainers. Thankfully that distraction caused Wheeljack to finish off the remaining drones.
"Good call back there. Daisy, you're alright, and who's your new friend?"
"Wheeljack, this is Unova's Champion: Hilbert!"
"It's a pleasure to meet you but small chat will have to wait for later. Right now we need your assistance to get people and Pokemon out of Driftveil Gym, it's already overcrowded."
"Of course."
Braviary dodges every attack blown at them, whilst using the wind current to boost his speed.
Laserbeak panicked at the sight, quickly trying to get away from the scene to avoid any damage.
"It's getting away!
"Nate, watch out! Incoming seekers!"
Nate looked in front of him, Laserbeak was nowhere to be seen but instead Starscream's seekers.
"Nate! Get out of there!"
Retreating, Braviary flew away trying to get close to Hound but one of the Seekers flew underneath them, keeping them in the air. This alarms the human and his Pokemon.
Hound cursed in Cybertronian, seeing Nate and his Pokemon stuck in the sky with no way to escape. Even if Hound could shoot a couple of them down, it won't be enough.
/Windblade, do you copy?/
/I'm here, what's going on? Coms was down a while ago/
/You can thank Nate and Brave for that but now they need your help. If you see a human flying an American-coloured eagle, that's them!/
/On my way!/
Hound could only watch from the ground, 'Nate…'
Windblade belt threw the skies, heavy raindrops splashing against her frame. Her engine roars louder as her speed increases, there on the horizon, Nate and Brave struggle to get close to the ground. The Decepticons kept them in the air, closer and closer into and beyond the clouds. Above the storm, the air got colder as faint breaths of vapour escaped the Human and Pokemon mouths.
The radiance of the afternoon sun glossed on Windblade's coloured scheme making it as though she was the brightest being in the sky. It was only her, the four 'Cons, and the human with his Pokemon. She drew out her blade before charging at the Decepticons.
Nate noted that his Braviary was getting tired but had to stay in control in order for the two of them to survive. The two friends got out of the way having the Autobot do her part in fighting the 'Cons. Unfortunately for them, two of the Decepticons chase after them.
It was bad news for Windblade as the two Decepticons that were fighting her kept her at bay. She watched from afar as the duo tried to escape.
Windblade focuses on the task at hand, moving swiftly in avoiding plasma fire of the two 'Cons. Once she got at a right angle she barreled towards the two 'Cons and sliced them in half.
"Two down, two more to go." Transforming again and chasing after them.
Nate and Braviary dash around the air. Brave crow. "I know buddy, you want rest, please hang on a little more."
A few minutes went by, the duo were beginning to wonder if Windblade was in trouble until they saw that red and black colour scheme.
"She made it!" Nate cheered.
She got closer and closer until she was right above them. Windblade transformed and stabbed the 'Con that was underneath her.
With one Decepticon left, Nate decided to finish it off. "Air slash!"
With his final strength, Brave made a 180, his wings glowed before drawing them together to create a wind that was as sharp as a sword.
They watch as the remains of the 'Cons crash back to the earth; however, Brave was at his critical point and soon after the pair begins to fall. Nate got his Pokeball out and recalled his beloved friend.
Nate didn't manage to fall even halfway as Windblade caught him. "You alright there?"
"You're the second one to come and save us today," Nate said before frowning, "Brave got too tired to continue but after some good rest he'll be alright."
"Don't worry about it, I'll get you down."
It was by now that most of everyone made it into the cave. Those who were stuck in the Gym were rescued by the Autobots. Of course, there was some trouble during the rescue mission; it drove more drones to where they were, causing some casualties in the process. Knowing for sure, this wasn't everyone as some were still out there missing not knowing for sure they'd make it through the night.
Families and friends mourning for their loved ones, some of whom died after reaching the cave. The Autobots sympathize with the humans and Pokemon. This was a lot worse when Megatron first awakened in 1984.
There was only so much the Autobots could do seeing that the inhabitants of the city showed great distrust in them. Thankfully, there were doctors and nurses who managed to help the injured.
At the end of it all, everyone wanted answers: who were they, what are they, where did they come from, are they part of Team Plasma, and will there be more to come?
Inside the Ark, Daisy checks her phone having many missed calls from her brother, mother, and other friends. She eventually puts it away and stands next to her guardian as the Autobots talk things out.
"During the fight, Bumblebee called in but communication was down at the time." Blaster pointed out.
"Thank you, Blaster."
Optimus began to speak, "It appears that Megatron is going to let the world know of our existence thus repeating history. Making humans have great distrust in us again."
Nate stepped up, "Before, you said that it happened like last time and from what Daisy told us, you are from another universe."
"That is correct."
"Which means, you guys are Fallers."
"Aren't Fallers people who literally fall from the sky?" Jazz queried.
Daisy interjects, "Yes, but it also means people who are from a different dimension or universe. Pokemon who are known from other dimensions are known as Ultra Beast."
"But we didn't fall from Ultra Wormholes."
"Wait, what do you know about Ultra Wormholes?"
"It's on yer internet. Fallers are people that are said to literally fall from an Ultra Wormhole."
"He–"
"Jazz"
" —Jazz has a point," Clay said.
"If that's the case, how did you get here?" Hilbert asked.
"I wonder the same thing too…" —The Autobots look towards Daisy— "my brother and I have been with you for some time now yet we still don't know much about you. You said you just 'showed up' but no one can just 'show up', there has to be a cause as to how you got here. You've been hiding some stuff from us."
"How long have you had this in mind?" Prowl inquired.
"Since I met you, I didn't want to say anything because I want to trust you: action speaks louder than words. And I– we did, you gave us reason to trust you and your…(and your aura also proves your innocence)... You don't completely trust us or you think we don't know any better."
"We know you are capable but this week alone showed us you struggle with some things being said."
"Then what about the vision?!"
The Autobots look at her as though she revealed a dark secret. They wanted her to stay quiet about it.
"What vision?" Hilbert demanded.
Daisy looked at the Autobots as they looked at her, warning her to say nothing.
"Champion Hilbert, Nate, you alongside Hilda and Rosa. You've stopped Team Plasma and dealt with legendaries before."
"We have."
Daisy took a deep breath, knowing full well the 'bots are staring at her. "There is great danger ahead of us. The Lake Guardians and a Sword of Justice visited us, they showed us a vision and it had a Pokemon tearing the fabric of reality. The Autobots have been looking deep into this and have found nothing."
You could hear sighs of disappointment when their human finished her sentence; fortunately, the three humans on board showed no signs of panic and if they were, they were very good at hiding it.
"A Pokemon that can tear the fabric of reality?" Nate thought out loud, "the only thing that comes to mind are the deities of space and time."
This caught the Autobots off guard.
"Could you elaborate? Something like that didn't cross my mind," said Windblade.
"Of course, the deities of space and time are known as Dialga and Palkia. Dialga controls time and Palkia controls space but the way you said it sounded like a singular Pokemon. What else was in this vision?"
"Megatron, our nemesis," said Optimus.
"Well, that counts out Dialga and Palkia, and I doubt there are other Pokemon that can do such a thing," Clay stated, "but this brings us back to the question at hand, how did you get here?"
"Unless…" Hilbert mumbled, no one hearing him.
Defeated, Optimus explained, "Megatron ordered Shockwave to create a machine that would transport our Earth to a different reality but instead we came here. There are still many things we do not know, still, we are looking for answers."
"Then let us help you," Hilbert smiled, "If your enemies want to destroy reality in itself, let us team up. I know not many people will want to join forces but those who will, we have your back! Plus, there might be a way to get all of you home."
The Prime glimmered at his request, perhaps not all is lost, "Thank you, Hilbert."
Optimus and his higher officers came walking outside the Ark. Daisy, Hilbert, Nate, and Clay stood to the side awaiting for everyone to settle down.
"As of today, you have witnessed great sorrow and fear. My name is Optimus Prime, and I hereby stand to let you all know that this is only the beginning of war, a war you did not ask for. The Autobots, myself included, will fight for your home to protect those you care for. The Decepticons will not rest until they gain control over your planet and thus it is our duty to fight, till all are one."
